He kicked him right in the stomach with as much force as he could muster. The figure was young, maybe early teens and yet he came running back as if nothing had happened. The other person was around the same age. Before the figure even moved an inch he was already preparing for its attack. They exchanged blows so fast, that in the blink of an eye they would have thrown a hundred kicks and a hundred punches each. After fighting for hours they finally stopped and fell to the floor.
Gon and Killua had been sparring all day and they were both exhausted. Gon had hair that stuck straight up and was colored dark green. In fact, most of his outfit was green. From his jacket to his shoes, and even his shorts. His best friend Killua had purely white hair and vampire colored skin. His clothes were in an array of deep blues, grays, and off whites. Both of them were thirteen years of age and yet they were stronger than any powerlifter. The source of their strength was known as Nen, a mysterious power that only experienced hunters and a select few knew of.
After a few minutes, Killua jumped up and sighed, threw his arms behind his head and closed his eyes, "Gon, get up! You promised your mom we'd be home by sundown". He waited for a response, "Gon?" He opened one eye and looked down without moving his head, "He fell asleep," he thought to himself. Gon was sprawled out across the emerald green field they had been sparring on, dead asleep. Killua let his arms fall and looked down. He stared for a moment then decided to kick him awake with quite a bit of force.
Gon slowly arose looking very tired, "Why did you wake me up, what's the matter?" Gon said.
Killua looked quite angry saying, "You fell asleep out in the open, idiot, allowing me to kick you, what if I were a bad guy! You could've been killed!"
Gon had realized what had happened and embarrassment came across his face, "Sorry I forgot," he said shyly while scratching the back of his head and smiling. "You would have saved me though!"
"They could get me too! You can't trust me to always be there for you! Anyway", he continued, "we have to get back to your house or your mom will yell at you..."
Gon looked noticeably worried, " Aww man I forgot, we gotta hurry." In an instant, they ran off to the forest with the speed of lightning. They covered the same amount of land that would have taken a hiker a whole day in just thirty minutes. Killua and Gon were even in speed, dodging in and out of fresh spring trees in unison. They popped out of the lively forest leaving a cloud of leaves behind them. With just a couple hops they came atop a hill with a pleasant little house. This was Gon's home and a home away from home for Killua. Gon's aunt was doing laundry outside and he looked purely ecstatic at the sight of her. She was beautiful with fiery red hair, a long, rosy red coat and hazelnut eyes.
"Gon!" she yelled! "Where did you come from?" she asked rhetorically, "you'd better get inside, it's going to rain soon"
They both proceeded to wash up and get ready for bed with plenty of time to talk. "You know, you're an amazing sparring partner and friend," Gon said in a giddy tone.
"Shut up man! You're so embarrassing," Killua said whilst blushing.
"It's true though, I don't know where I would be without y-," and in a flash of an eye, Gon disappeared out the window.
"Gon!" Killua yelled out. For a few moments Killua stared out the window that Gon had disappeared out of paralyzed with the fear of not saving his friend. The ground was beginning to get muddy. As a result, footprints were left in the kidnapper's wake. When Killua finally noticed this he started to laugh, "Ha! It's perfect, that darn idiot left a trail! This should be easy!"
Killua jumped out the window and looked down at the prints. It was quite obvious where the kidnapper had gone. Killua threw his arms behind his back and proceeded through the crisp wet forest they had come from before. He didn't make contact with the ground jumping from one tree branch to another in fear of leaving footprints of his own. It didn't take him long to find where the path ended, and before him was Gon. He was tied to an abnormally large tree, but without even thinking he cut the ropes loose. "How did you get your self into this mess?" Killua asked.
Gon slowly replied, "Huh, I, I don't know. I just woke up here," he finished sounding quite confused and tired.
"Oh, but you wouldn't let someone knock you out would you, because you would've been paying attention right?" Killua responded sarcastically.
"If you're so smart you should have told me not to stand by the window!" Gon snapped back. The argument went on for a little while longer,
"Anyway!" Killua managed to say over Gon's yelling, "let's go back to your house before your mom notices you're gone!" he finished. Gon stubbornly agreed.
Before they started to move the ground gave way. They realized too late they were in some sort of circular crater. It was changing from one bright color to the next in rapid succession. Sparks of brightly colored electricity flew skyward all around them. They slowly sunk into the crater on the floor stopping them from moving or getting out. In a few short seconds, they were completely gone leaving no trace of the portal they'd fell into behind.
Part two
"Hah! I got you this time Honda Kun. I sacrifice Comrade Swordsman of Landstar to play Flame Swordsman in attack mode! Flame Swordsman attack Honda Kun's Cyber Commander!" The two people playing this game were in a dimly lit classroom with one other watching. This was one of their favorite games to play after school.
"Wow, Honda you just let Jonouchi beat you like that!? Jonouchi!?" The one watching exclaimed.
"What's that supposed to mean Anzu Chan!" Jonouchi shouted.
"It means you're a bad player Jonouchi Kun" Honda replied in place of Anzu.
Anzu was a young lady, mid to early teens. She had thick short oak colored hair and beautiful ocean blue eyes that framed her pale skin. The two other people playing were her friends, that were around the same age. Jonouchi had blond hair that stuck straight up and out, not too much not too little. He had a very masculine light-skinned face. Yet he didn't look too smart. On him, he wore a simple blue school uniform. He was friends with Anzu as well as Honda. Honda was smarter than Jonouchi but a plain-looking man with dark skin and brown eyes. He wore the same uniform as Jonouchi. He was friends with Anzu and Jonouchi alike. Just as they had finished their game and resolved their fight a new person walked in.
"Hi, guys! Sorry I'm late did I miss anything?"
"Don't worry one-bit Yugi, you only missed these two baffoons fighting." Yugi was the same age as the others and a close friend. Although he was the same age he was so short he looked around nine. It wasn't just his height, his face looked like a small child's as well. He was quite an interesting character. He had black hair outlined with red that stuck up in five huge spikes. In the front, there were four or five thick blonde strips the hung over his face. He wore a black shirt with the school uniform jacket on top. He wore a spiked collar, spiked bracelets, and a spikey blue belt.
But possibly the most interesting thing on him was called the Millennium Puzzle. It looked like an upside-down pyramid. It hung around his neck by a silver metal chain. Unknown to most, the Millennium Puzzle held many secrets. One of the Puzzle's most known secrets was that it inhabited by a five-thousand-year-old Egyptian Pharaoh. His name was concealed, even to himself, but the people who knew him called him Pharaoh. Yugi was chosen for this item by fate, the Pharaoh lives inside of his body and mind.
"Hey Yugi Kun, seeing as I beat Honda Kun here, how about I battel you next." Jonouchi confidently announced.
"Sure thing Jonouchi Kun. This will give me a chance to try out this new card I bought today! Its called Vortex Typhoon trap card. It allows me to take one-quarter of the monster you attack with's defense points and add them to one of my creature's attack points! Pretty cool right!?" He said with excitement. They all agreed, and even Jonouchi seemed jealous.
"Nice card, can't wait to beat it!" Jonouchi said with confidence. They exchanged decks to shuffle each other's cards in preparation for starting the game. Then proceeded to place their decks on the wood school table and began to draw their first cards
"I'll go first" Jounouchi declared. Yugi nodded in agreeance.
They had been playing for a while when Yugi finally drew his new card.
On the field was Blue Flame Swordsman in attack mode on Jonouchi's side,
and no monsters on Yugi's. There were no face-down cards on either side. Yugi was in trouble, but he had a plan that just might work.
"I play Kuriboh in attack mode and play one face down card. I end my turn!" Yugi said in a calm tone.
"So I guess you've given up then? I can beat you this turn if I just attack your Kouriboh. You don't have enough life points left. Blue Flame Swordsman attack his Kouriboh finishing off his life points!"
Yugi grinned, "I wouldn't be so sure"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Reveal trap card Vortex Typhoon!"
He slowly raised the card and before he could even place it down gently, the card exploded into dust. A pool of water began to appear on the table. Jonouchi and Yugi stood up and looked at it with awe. It started to swirl, faster and faster. It grew, larger and larger until it grew so large and swirled so fast it seemed to engulf the whole table. It began to pull them in, and water started flying everywhere!
A flash of light came from Yugi's Millennium Puzzle and The Pharaoh took over his body. He grew a few inches taller, and his face became more masculine. The blond strips of hair that hung over his face before now stuck up in the same place as the darker colored hair.
"Everyone get out of the classroom. Now!" He exclaimed at his friends. Everyone tried to run but the vortex was too strong. "Jounouchi Kun we have to finish the game. Maybe then Vortex Typhoon will go away. I end my turn. Attack my Kuriboh, quick!"
"Alright. Blue... Flame swordsman... attack his... Kuri⦠B" the strain from fighting the Vortex Typhoon's pull was too much. He started to fall and before he hit the ground the Vortex Typhoon pulled him in. Anzu and Tristan couldn't hold on any longer and they both passed out, allowing themselves to be sucked into the Vortex Typhoon as well. The only ones left were the Pharaoh and Yugi.
"Yugi what should I do!?" The pharaoh asked Yugi through his mind,
"We can't leave our friends behind you have to go in after them!"
"But Yugi!"
"No buts were going in after them, hurry!" The Pharaoh and Yugi jumped in the portal without looking back. Vortex Typhoon slowly shrunk leaving a wet classroom behind.
