Genre : Romance
Pairing : Sam/OC, Derek/Stiles, Caleb/Peter and more to come!
Summary : Sam had a lover once, a djinn. When he turned out to be pregnant Dean freaked out. Nine months later Stiles was born.
Disclaimer : Nothing belongs to me...
'Dean, I need to tell you something.'
They were in a crappy motel in California chasing a vengeful ghost who had already killed three girls. Dean was cleaning his guns while Castiel was hovering in the room trying to look human. And failing. Sam had just come home after going out for an hour. He looked pale, sweating slightly. Dean looked up and smirked.
'Aw Sammy what put your panties in a bunch?'
'Samuel wears panties?'
Count on Castiel to make the most inappropriate remark.
'It's an expression Cas. Well, actually, now that you mention it, I never saw his underwear drawers so maybe. See Sammy I told you, you were a girl deep down.'
'DEAN SHUT UP!'
That actually caught his attention, as well as Castiel's. Dean frowned, looking worried. Sam was not one to raise his voice or let his temper flair, that was more a Dean thing.
'What's wrong Sam?'
Sam sighed and looked as if he was holding back tears. He sat heavily in one of the twin beds, his head in his hands. How was he supposed to tell his brother? Rowena was pretty sure about what she saw and she told him that Dean might not be the best to tell, but his brother was his world and his only family.
'Dean I have to tell you something, but you have to promise me you will believe me and not to tell anyone. Please Dean?'
Dean stared at Sam for a minute before answering.
'What the hell is this about Sam? Is it the ghost? Do you have a problem with a demon again? Visions? Dude you'd better tell me before…'
'You're pregnant.'
Castiel always there to make a difficult moment even more difficult. There was a moment of silence where Sam looked at Castiel with fear and turned to Dean who stood there silent. Sam was not sure how to understand the look on his brother's face until all hell broke loose when Dean started to laugh.
'Oh man, Cas you cannot say something like that. Man, I said he was a girl but that was a joke. Come on Cas, think a minute that is not possible.'
'Dean… Cas is right.'
Silence answered Sam. The younger Winchester was not sure if he didn't like the laugh better…
'Okay you two need to stop this joke right now. It's going way too far even for us.'
'Dean. Sam is pregnant with a supernatural child. I think the father is a…'
'NO!'
'Sam'
'No Cas, don't say it.' At least not until Dean calmed down a bit.
'Wait, hold on you two. You're trying to tell me Sam is pregnant with a freak?'
Dean got up from his spot and started to walk to Sam who was silently crying. Rowena had warned him that Dean would probably not react well but Sam wanted to believe his brother would not consider his baby a monster. Not all supernatural creatures are bad, surely even Dean could see that.
'Dean don't say it like that please.'
'Sammy you better tell me everything right now before I exorcise whatever is in your stomach. Oh man, can you hear me now…. This is weird.'
He sat next to Sam who was now sobbing. He patted his back and looked at Castiel as if he knew everything. Dean didn't really know what to say. A man pregnant, that one was weird and with a supernatural creature's… offspring? Even weirder. What if that thing ate his brother or sucked the life out of him to be born. Somehow Dean really wanted his brother to get rid of whatever was in his stomach. He turned to Castiel as if he held all the answers.
'I will respect your brother's decision Dean, I will not tell his secret. If he wants you to know he will tell you.'
Dean huffed in annoyance and crouched down so his face was next to Sam's.
'Sammy, listen to me. I'm sorry I called your….baby or whatever it is, a freak, okay? You must be having a hard time right now. Hell you're probably completely lost. But we will fix this alright? You and I, Cas will surely help too. But whatever happened I will make it better because I'm your big brother, I look after you okay? But to do so you have to tell me what happened.'
Sam looked up and slowly nodded. He dried his tears with his sleeve. Dean never thought Sam looked like a teen but right now he was looking like a lost adolescent who just discovered the world is a cruel dark place. Maybe it was his… condition that made him look so but he also seemed changed physically, less broad, and leaner. Dean hated it.
'Alright. I will tell you. But you are not to ask the father's name."
Dean nodded and Sam began to tell how he fell in love with a djinn/witch man. They were hunting in Minnesota for some sort of supernatural creature who kidnapped humans. The trail ran cold and Dean got impatient. One night as Sam was ordering some pie for his brother at a local diner he met the father of his child. A big man covered in tattoos bulky and oozing unnatural forces whom he felt drawn to the moment their eyes met. The men followed Sam out and cornered him in an alley and demanded to know why the Winchesters brothers where on his territory.
As Sam told him and accused him of being behind the kidnappings the man laughed and swore his comrades and him did not do anything. Sam did not trust him more for that. The man trapped him between his arms and whispered "I thought the youngest Winchester was the most intelligent and believe not all supernatural creatures were evil." He kissed Sam and said he would help and disappeared in the night.
"Wait, you got sexual harassed and you didn't tell me?"
Dean was fuming; someone bad touched his little brother and got away with it.
"Dean, if the state I am in is any clue, he did more than touch my waist."
Probably not the best thing to say to calm Dean Winchester, he was growling in a bear like way. He got up and yelled "THAT BASTARD RAPED YOU AND LET YOU CARRY HIS OFFSPRING?"
"Dean he did not rape me!"
Dean was shocked by his little brother's face. He knew that face, he had it when he talked about Jessica, about Ruby and many others…
"You fell in love with him? Sammy… For God's sake SAMMY!"
Sam gulped and started talking, summing up, three months of the greatest love story he ever had. How he and the man met up secretly. How he taught him to search for clues that might not be visible. How they met at night and discussed through morning about everything and anything. How the man told him he was a djinn.
"Sammy are you kidding me? You know how dangerous they are?"
Dean was starting to get really angry when Castiel spoke out.
"He was not a normal djinn, right?"
"No, he was not. He said he was a mix, he never told me in detail but he did not need to feed on humans."
And Sam never asked. Well that's not true but he knew Dean would not believe what Sam learned. The Djinn told him that magic could help blood lust and all the negative effect of the Djinn because while they were dangerous Djinn's were still conscious of their human side, much like werewolves. And they were social being, they needed something that permitted them to interact with other beings without killing them. The Djinn had told Sam that one of his parents was a witch and he felt magical sparks in Sam's aura. Something Rowena had told Sam too. Sam never told Dean how complete he felt with the man. The man just had to speak to reassure Sam, touch him and make him shiver. They had a connection that felt almost cosmic. Sam felt safe in his arms, he felt loved, complete. He was not lonely and sad because of all the things he saw. He never was disgusted by himself or thought he was a murderer. In his arms he felt like the world could be a better place.
And that was nuts.
Sam knew that it was not true. He could rationally say that no the world was not better. These feelings of his were so strange, so raw, so powerful that he was scared and wanted to talk to Dean about them. But he knew that his brother would have fired at "djinn". During these three months of hunt, Sam felt both completely lost and home. He had never felt anything that strong for someone and what scared him was that it felt unnatural. Felling like this person made the world brighter, that he could protect him from anything, it was something straight out of a romance novel and he feared that the Djinn was playing him.
Nothing made sense after that realization that the Djinn was possibly manipulating him. He didn't want to believe it, but he knew that with all he had seen as a hunter and in his life he could not allow himself to trust someone so blindly. And after the case was closed he confronted the Djinn. They had a huge fight, their first and last. Sam took off with his brother and the Djinn disappeared with his comrades as he called them. He never saw him again and it hurts, not that Sam would ever tell Dean.
"After we wrapped the case he left and I never saw him again." Best leave things to that for the sake of Dean's temper.
"And how did that happened."
Dean was gesturing to Sam's stomach. His brother wanted to bite back and say "Jeez Dean do I need to tell you how babies are made?" But he stayed silence and sighed.
"Rowena cast a spell to see what was wrong with me because my aura was getting hectic. And she discovered the baby."
"And you sure you can trust what a witch says?"
"It is true Dean" Thank god for Castiel's intervention.
Dean stood silent for a moment looking down at Sam's stomach.
"And Rowena is sure?"
"Yes she is."
"How long?"
"Two months."
"Okay. So we can get you rid of it than."
Sam stood up, horrified.
"It's my baby Dean!"
"It's a monster Sam! You are a man you are not supposed to be pregnant! Can you hear yourself? You would keep a dark spawn in you stomach? And how would you give birth? It's dangerous for you Sammy! And I sure am not going to watch you birth the new Lucifer or something."
"DEAN!"
Sam was crying now. He couldn't believe his brother. He wanted to think that Dean would help him, that he would take care of him, that he would love to be an uncle. But the truth hurts. Sam thought maybe he will have to run. Maybe he could escape Dean and give birth alone. Nothing was going to harm his baby, Sam was sure it was not a monster. Both fathers were not so the child shouldn't be. But he knew Dean didn't see it like that. He was about to go make his back when Rowena erupted in the room.
"DEAN WINCHESTER! HOW COULD YOU SPEAK TO YOUR BROTHER THIS WAY! I swear if your mother was still alive she would have put you on her lap and give you a good slap on that ungrateful and selfish ass! Your brother is pregnant, his child is not a monster! Do you seriously think that I would have let Sam leave if it was the case? I love him like a son, I wouldn't let any harm come to him! Now you are going to get that stick out of your butt and apologize. You are going to help your brother with his pregnancy or so help me god I will take him away and you will never see us again!"
A silence followed Rowena's outburst. Dean paced around the room, deep in thoughts. Then he sighed rubbed his hair and sat next to Sam, taking him in a bear hug.
"Okay. Okay, we will deal with that situation. I will help you and the kid. I am sorry I called… Your baby … a monster."
Sam was in tears.
"You don't think it's a monster?"
"It comes from you how could it be a monster? Don't worry Sammy we will educate him. Whatever he will be, he is our family first, okay?"
