"I know this path, We're really close" Alevia said hiking over the snowy mountains and through the trees of the Alaskan land. Rocky closely following behind her as she lead him along a snowy path heading up a hill.
"You said that last couple miles" Rocky exclaimed trying to get warmth in the cold climate they were facing. "I know, but this one I really mean it, Cmon" She said hiking up the steep snowy path mostly covered in snow, but still being able to make out where she was going. "How do you know this path so well?" He asked.
"I've hiked up here a lot of time with my group"
"your group?"
"I'll explain when we get there" She said running up full sprint up the path, Rocky braved the elements and tried to mimic her energy, prevailing and standing side by side to her over looking a town with Sun almost about to rise. "Its...Beautiful" Alevia said looking at how to the sun rose from across the plain from down under to greet the sky.
"Y-Yeah, its actually-" Rocky was also about to comment before Alevia spoke once more. "This...This is God's gift to us, how his Light shine down up his land he gave to us so long ago, He trusted us to lead his followers until Truth, his truth, But yet we...R-Rocky?" Alevia's religious attitudes stopped as she suddenly senses the Mixed Breed was no longer there.
Alevia looked right to left to no success of seeing him, until looking farther to her right and seeing him already walking down a path all the way down to the town in the distance. "H-Hey, Wait for me!" She shouted running down the steep path trying to catch up to him.
"This is Ridiculous, Most of our Stuff was taken by those Soldiers at the Border for God knows why, Now I cant contact the spy" Eli couldnt contain his frustration as he started to slowly and calming vent out himself to Marshall and Skye. "I guess we'll just have to go without them, find out a new plan to do some recon work."
"Well first off, We arent staying in this car for the time being, are we?" Skye asked rubbing Tony's fur to trying and comfort him. "No, I know somewhere we can stay while we're here" Marshall said with his head turned slighted to Skye but his eyes still focus on the road.
Eli started to looked around at the Surrounding Features of San Francisco, from the LED bright Lights to just people walking down the road and minding their own business. Soon he took his gaze back into the car and at Tony. "So who'll watch over the Kid exactly?" He asked, Skye responded by taking up the sleeping pup in her paws and just rubbing him.
"I will...I can take care of him while you and Marshall do what you need to do" Skye said snuggling the innocent pup in her paws like a mother would to her offspring. "Just make sure the cute little guy doesnt get involved, or this whole operation could turn upside down" Eli stated.
"Awww, you think hes cute?" Skye aww'ed at the German Shepherd showing more of his soft side, The Cockapoo held up the black and white pup to the German Shepherd, Eli turned slightly to eye the pup before sort of smiling and rubbing his fur a bit.
"Yeah, A Little bit". "Alright, We're here" Marshall said, turning the vehicle into a dark lot. Skye looked out into the night to barely make out what was before her. The Line in the Lot that separated one parking space from another were as dark the grey, trying to blend into the asphalt road. Lights that surround the area were not fully functioning, flickering off and on as their flaws were clear as day.
"Umm...Marshall,Why are we here?" Skye asked, very concerned of their current location. "Theres a Motel close to here, Thats where we're staying for the time being" Marshall explained, already getting up from the drivers seat to the outside.
"Cant we go somewhere that more...safe?" She asked.
"We cant, Canines arent allowed to occupy Luxury Places" Marshall said, reflecting on the alright inequality canines faced and had to live with in the Pacific States. "Aw Yes, Nothing like a Good dose of Segregation" Eli joked opening the door. "I'll go check us in at the front desk, you both can grab everything we need for now"
"Sure thing" Eli said as Marshall walked away in the darkness to check them in, Eli reached back in the car to dig in between the car seats in search for something, Skye tilted her head in confusion when he saw what the German Shepherd was doing, only to see him pull out a lone cigarette and a lighter too. "Hey, Mind if I ask a question?" Eli said as he tried to flick over the Lighter.
"N-No, Go ahead" Skye replied.
"How do you apologize to someone after years of them hating you, even though you tried to help them and you dont believe you did anything wrong?" Eli said sticking the cigarette in his mouth and hovering the flame from the lighter below.
"I umm...Wow, that uhh...Weird question" Skye commented, Indeed stating the fact that it was an oddly specific question for the sudden time. The Cockapoo was indeed taken back and left to think about it for a moment. "Well...I guess you can just, talk to them more I guess" Skye answered very timidly, not even half sure of her own answer.
"Kind hard when they base what they said off an Old Book" Eli said puffing out a large cloud of smoke from his cigarette. "An Old what?" Skye asked for a repeat, until the German Shepherd just dropped his cigarette on the ground intentionally. "You know what, Never mind, Grab the Kid and lets go check in with Marshall, Hes probably waiting on us" Eli said squishing the cigarette beneath his paws on the ground and rubbing the residue into the road of the abandoned parking lot.
AN: Sorry for that Break, I just kind of didn't feel like writing a whole lot judging from the Chapter size, Smaller than the others of course. Anyway, Leave a Review telling me of what you think of this entire story, Its coming to an end so I just want to hear people's general thoughts on it. Was it Bad? Was it Good? Was it so long that you just decided to skip the end and couldn't be bothered to read through 75K words? Let me know.
