In the morning Katie got up and walked over to her walk in wardrobe she picked out a white shirt, black trousers and a tan jacket to go with her black boots.
She then headed into the bathroom to wash her face, brush her teeth and put her mid-long light brown hair up into a ponytail then headed out for the DPD.
When Katie walked into the precinct she walked over to Jessica "good morning, any news this morning?" Katie asked
Jessica smiled "good morning lieutenant McKenzie. Hank Anderson has not arrived but an android is waiting by your desks for you" Jessica replied her LED flashing yellow for a moment before returning blue.
Katie grabbed her gate pass from the counter "i can't wait until the IT staff get off their rear ends and issue me with a proper pass" she muttered.
Katie entered the gate and walked towards her desk she could see Connor standing by Hanks side of the desks.
Katie sat down at her desk a compter terminal had been set up between the two desks for Connor to use as to keep their team together even though they were helping with some of the red ice cases while they sorted through leads on deviants.
Sarah Marshall a blonde bombshell of a detective had a desk opposite Gavin Reed. Sarah made her way over to Katie.
"so when are you going to introduce me to your gorgeous partner Kitkat" Sarah nudged Katies shoulder
Katie rolled her eyes "you do realise he is an android and can probably hear you? And since when have you ever been shy about introducing yourself?"
"but your so good at it, and it sounds like you already have a tiny crush on him" Sarah said teasingly
Katie looked over at Connor who seemed to be analysing Hanks very messy desk Katie sighed and walked around the desks to Connors side
"hey Connor... I'd like you to meet Detective Sarah Marshall" Katie said nervously she was still unsure of Connor she pointed at Sarah who walked over to Connor slapping his shoulder
"hello there Connor, nice to finally meet you" Sarah said
"hello Detective Marshall" Connor replied
"how are the deviant cases going?" Sarah asked while leaning against the edge of Hanks desk.
"we have not had any clues so far, we are waiting on the laboratory for the red ice we found at Carlos Ortiz's house, apart from that we are helping out with the other red ice cases" Connor answered.
"By the way Lieutenant McKenzie we got a tip about an old house in Little field that might be a drug smuggling ring, I tried to call Lieutenant Hank so we could go investigate this morning but his phone went straight to voice mail" Connor inquired.
"we will have to wait for him but be ready to leave when he does get in" Katie said
"i will catch up with you two lovebirds later" Sarah teased as she walked back to her desk.
"lovebirds?" Connor questioned
"shes teasing because she thinks your good looking" Katie said.
