Writers note: hey guys sorry its taken sooo long life's been a bit hectic with my sons 2nd birthday coming up hope to keep going with this story, please feel free to leave a review to let me know how I am going :)

The floor boards broke and Katie fell through, she managed to catch the edge of the broken floor under her arms. Her gun bounced down the hall a few feet away.

"Hank help me!" yelled Katie

Hank and Connor stood at the edge of the hole opposite where Katie was hanging from, the hole took up most of the hall way and was very wide

"the hole is 6.56 feet wide" Connor said

Hank huffed "that's not at all helpful, how are we going to get over there?" Hank pointed to the other side.

"please hurry guys, I can't feel anything bellow me so I'm assuming there is a basement" Katie said worriedly. Katie didn't really want to admit she was terrified of heights.

The floor boards groaned and Katie heard a cracking noise.

"SHIT hang on Katie" Hank said worriedly running a hand through his hair, Hank started pacing back and forth.

Connor was standing still analysing the hole and all the possibilities of getting to Katie.

"Lieutenant Katie can you try to hook your right leg up on to the board beside you" Connor called out.

Katie attempted to swing her leg up but it caused her to slip "ahhhh" She got hold of the hallway boards with her hands.

"Please help me!" Katie cried out tears starting to run down her face. Hank was really beginning to looked stressed tugging on his hair "SHIT, SHIT, SHIT!" hank was spluttering out.

Connor took two steps back "HEY, HEY! What do you think you're doing?" Hank asked alarmed

"I'm going to use the wall of the hallway to jump over and help Lieutenant McKenzie up" Connor stated as he was about to move Hank stopped him.

"What if the boards give way? What if they snap? That could put her in more danger!" Hank said

Connor looked again then turned to Hank "I've calculated every possibility I believe I can make it without issue" Connor stated.

Katie could hear them arguing but her arms were getting tired and she could feel splinters of wood digging into her wrists where she was holding on to the floor boards Katie was trying to stay still but minor movements still alerted her that nothing was below her.
