Amanda Rollins POV
Useless, That's all Olivia thinks of me. I transferred to New York about a year ago and she still has no respect for me. Ever since the squad found out about my gambling issues, Olivia's thoughts about me had only been confirmed and I saved my job by the skin of my teeth. I didn't really blame her though, the person I had to portray in this world had to weak and flawed. If only she knew the truth about who I really was, then she would finally respect me and maybe even listen to me, but she would never be able to believe it. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I told them the truth, Fin might believe me, Nick would be in shock, Olivia would think I was lying and Carisi. Well, Carisi is too new to even understand whats going on. I hurried out the door, I was already late and Olivia was going to kill me.
Olivia Benson POV
Rollins, my office now! I expected that once I told her that I didn't trust her anymore she would try and get her act together but she's even more reckless and irresponsible. I know I can't transfer out, she is an asset to the squad but I wish she'd get her act together
"Rollins, you are an hour late, care to explain" I scowled
"I overslept" she replied with an unsure frown. Why couldn't she be honest with me, I know that we have our differences but I still felt an obligation to help her out.
Well I'm sorry this job doesn't agree with your sleep schedule but that doesn't mean Fin should have to be without a partner!
"I'll be sure to be on time from now on" Amanda responded looking through me.
I could see the anxiety in her eyes, when she first came to the precinct back when El first left her eyes were filled with hope. She was new fresh blood to the team and to the detective world. But soon the passion and hope in her eyes dwindled and I couldn't help but feel responsible.
"Don't make promises you don't intend to keep" I snarled back at her
Yes Sargent, she hastily left my office without apologizing
I sat down and massaged my temples and wondered what I should do about her
Fin Tututola POV
Amanda walked out on Liv's office with her head down, her skin was pale and her hair was up in a messy bun. Manda, we caught a case. Let's head out". I yelped while putting my black coat on
"Ok" she replied with a smile looking relieved that I was pulling her out of the precint, away from Olivia.
I always admire her determination and the fire that lives in her eyes. As I went to go grab the keys she ran over and quickly snatched them up.
"Hey!" I yelled as she snickered running toward the stairs
"You're a terrible driver" she rolled her eyes
"Well so are you"! she clapped back
Amanda always loved teasing me, we had always had a good partnership up until more recently. I could tell that Amanda had just wanted to stop thinking about her betrayal and wanted Olivia to forgive her so things could go back to normal. Even before the indecent Olivia was always hostile toward Amanda, being upset when Amanda joined us for drinks after work and being mad when Amanda saw things in cases that she didn't. It was almost like Olivia was worried that Amanda would replace her.
Amanda Rollins POV
After a long day of finding successful leads, I packed up.
Hey, wanna go out for a drink, to celebrate?
"Sorry Nick, rain check, I'm super tired but maybe tomorrow" I mumbled while faking a yawn
I wished I could go home and have a quiet night with some red wine but I had responsibilities elsewhere. I hailed a taxi to take me home and hiked up the stairs to my apartment, I needed to get ready for the long day ahead of me.
I put my hair long blond in an elegant braided updo while carefully leaving two curled pieces in front of my face and traded my casual work slacks out for a sleek lavender dress with a low v-neck. I glanced at myself in the mirror while admiring my soft curves and sophisticated demeanor. I exited my bathroom and went in to my bedroom and slid open the closet door. My clothes weren't really in there, I brushed my hand up against the wall creating a swirl of purple, blue and pink
I took a deep breath in and walked into the portal.
"Welcome back princess" a warm voice called to me
I'm not sure if this is good or even worth continuing so I'll let the reviews decide :)
