[A/N: Hi guys! I also posted this fanfic on wattpad just in case. Kenma is in the same year as Kuroo and my OCs please bear with me this is my first fanfic so I'm not too good with writing narratively. Also tips and suggestions are welcome in the comments!]
p.s: I barely put Kuroo in this chapter due to me not realizing and the chapter was going to be too long and full of potholes with the flow I was going with in my opinion. Thank you for Understanding :)

"I really like you" he says as he bowed and face all red when he raises his head back up the girl in front of him face is blank like she's empty
"I'm sorry I don't feel the same way" the girl replies with no emotion, she turns heel walking away "I'm sorry it just has to be this way" she quickly wipes her tears away before anyone can see
END OF DREAM*
Hanabi wakes up gasping for air "what the hell was that dream for?" Confused she turns to her side and thought "and who the hell was that guy?" she closes her eyes and realizes it's her first day back to school at Nekoma she blindly does a swiping motion on her bed looking for phone after a few seconds of doing this she finally finds it under her pillow "AHA" she cheers, her phone screen automatically wakes showing the time its 6:17AM "I woke up way too early" she complains but still gets up to start getting ready
She walks up to her mirror at the corner of her room and says "Just one more year Hanabi after that you don't need to go back to that school ever again" giving herself a pep talk is a daily routine for her due to the constant annoyance high school has been for her "you are amazing and you are going to become a doctor, you can do this" she slaps her cheeks and continues to get ready
~45 minutes later~
for breakfast she slices a piece of the bread loaf she had in her pantry and toasts it topping it off with a small portion of butter, after eating and washing whatever she used plus dishes from last night she goes to the bathroom to brush her teeth and starts putting on her uniform. she notices her uniform has gotten a bit loose on her
"did i lose weight again?" Hanabi grabs her weighing scale from the bottom of her bed and sees she is now 121lbs "tch, i lose 3lbs again" she sulked as she documents her weight for this week a sudden ring from the door startled her. She rushed to the door and peeps through the hole on her door "oh it's akihiko-kun" she opens the door and stands a 6ft boy with black hair and blue eyes wearing the same uniform smiling at her greeting
"good morning hana-chan!" followed by a gentle wave, Hanabi looking a bit disgusted how cheerful he is this early in the morning
"good morning aki, sorry come in let me just put on my bow and brush my hair then we can leave" she scratches her head walking back inside leaving the door open for him, Akihiko follows her inside and sits on the couch in the living room
"aren't you excited to go back to school" he says sarcastically following a nervous laugh, hanabi stops to glare at her friend
"it's too early for jokes aki" she said
"hehe tough crowd" he whispers rolling his eyes
~ moments later ~
Both left her house for school, they are close by school walking side by side.
"I really don't want to go" she grunts
"stop whining the day will go by really quick and plus what could go wrong" he shrugs putting his arms around her, she lets out a small blush
"get your arm off me Akihiko" she trys to hide her face to avoid him seeing her blush but he still notices
"oh damn here comes out your tsundere side hana-chan" he smirks poking at her cheek, she gives him a glare that he is well aware that it means a death sentence nervously laughing putting his arms up symboling surrender.
As they are walking other students from their school stare at them and whisper
"she's with Awano-senpai again" one girl says
"there she is Fujiwara-senpai, isn't she so pretty" a male voice coming from behind them says
"but she is so cold and conceited" his friend replied, Hanabi rolls her eyes and looks at them to show that she can hear them. The two boys get startled and avoid eye contact
Akihiko grabs her by the shoulder to face forward and says "come on hana he was just kidding" as she turns away he gives the boy a glare and mouths "watch your mouths" and smiles
as they arrive in-front of the the board that has the assigned classroom they both searched for their names..
"I'll go check A and you check class B" Akihiko said, he walks right while she walks to the left
"Ah! I found you" they say at the same time, they look at each other realizing they are not in the same class
Everyone around them are shocked
"Eh? they were split apart on their last year?" a girl said, some didn't care and some did
"oh my god i'm in the same class as awano-san, I might have a chance this time" another girl cheered
The two friends didn't expect them to be separated after being in the same class since kindergarten, as much as Hanabi doesn't like to show emotion you could tell she was nervous but Akihiko was feeling okay about it surprised but he didn't mind.
"Kuroo what are you doing? we can't do anything if we were separated it happens every year" a boy with bleached hair holding a psp complained
"but Kenma you were put in 3-C, how low did your grades get?! I will tell your mom to take away you games" another guy besides him says he has hazel eyes with black hair styled like bed hair
"leave me alone Kuroo worry about yourself first.. look you got into 3-A you should be proud" His friend replies
Hanabi noticed that Akihiko was looking at the guy named Kuroo and she didn't know why but she felt that something wasn't good
"be careful with that guy okay Hana-chan? I'm not in the same class as you anymore so I can't protect you" he says
As if she needed protection, Hanabi isn't weak she's very strong and smart but because of her hard attitude a lot is misunderstood. She never once cared about making new friends and was happy enough to have Akihiko beside her, Every time she looks him in the eye she feels like she is going to melt but she already knows that he doesn't feel the same way. For a long time she's been in love with him but she never wanted to admit it.
as they got to their shoe locker Hanabi opens her a flows out 2 envelopes with her name on it a 1 note that was torn from a note book saying "conceited ass bitch now you can't have Awano-san by your side anymore" she clenches her teeth and crumples up the paper before Akihiko could see.
"Love letters already Hanabi?" He teases
"yeah.. they don't even know me" she throws the letters out without reading them and continues to put on her shoes
"how cruel ice princess" he shrugs his shoulders and walks to his locker
"stop calling me that" she says coldly as she without noticing he indoor shoes were muddy but still put them on anyways
"tch ice princess... now she's a dirty princess" as a group of girls laugh from behind the lockers. Akihiko clenches his fist and punches his locker out of frustration
"who did this?" he questions. the girls squealed and run away hiding their faces. "I swear if only I was a girl" he thought he glances at Hanabi seeing how she is unfazed with the whole situation his heart sinks
"let's go Hanabi we got to get to the gym for the open ceremony" he grabs her by the hand leading the way, as she is being dragged she forgot to close her shoe locker..
soft bam* *click*
"are they dating?" a boy says closing her locker
"i don't know i was only classmates with them in our first year and plus i didn't really talk to them" his friend replied pushing buttons on his psp
"seriously Kenma? are you that anti social?!" Kuroo says snatching away Kenma's console
"give it back Kuroo. No I spoke with Awano-san a few times but Fujiwara-san is completely out of reach, she only talks if she is called to by a teacher thats it" he answers jumping to reach his psp "why are you so curious? you'll see for yourself since you are going to be in the same class as her"
"pfft.. yeah you're right. this is going to be fun" Kuroo smirks
