Hey guys! So sorry for the delay in getting this chapter up. After moving it took a few days to get everything unpacked and then it was a few days Before we got internet. Yes it's a little shorter but I have a pretty good chapter coming up. (At least in my opinion.)

Nathan set off for Bill's office he was going to ask him if he had ever heard of Jameson Taylor. Nathan was very annoyed at this situation here he was just got word about a new posting and then there was the saloon incident and Lucas seemed to be holding back information that pertains to the men involved. "Should I tell Bill about my new posting now?" Nathan was thinking. He and Bill had grown closer over the 3 years, even Allie had a soft spot for Bill. "I'll tell him after this news" It was decided. Nathan would share the news later after Nathan had time to ask for Bill's help with this case.

Nathan opened the door to Bill's office. Molly Sullivan was there sitting across from Bill. "Ahh... sorry to interrupt I can come later." Nathan had a hard time finding his words. Molly stood up and started grabbing plates that were on the desk. "Nonsense Constable, I was just bringing Bill some lunch. We are done now so I'll be on my way." Now it was Bill's turn to stand up. And said. Thank you for the lunch Molly." Nathan felt like he had just interrupted something and felt awkward standing there with his Stetson in his hands and eyes down at the floorboards. "You are very welcome. See you tomorrow Bill."Molly responded and grabbed her basket and headed for the door. The door shut behind Nathan and he saw Bill sit back down in his chair and let out a deep breath. "What was that all about? See you tomorrow?" Nathan joked with Bill as he started walking closer to the desk. "Oh Molly. She's just helping me with something so she thought she'd bring lunch." Bill answered. "Ohhh, sounds about right." Nathan laughed and winked at Bill to which Bill responded with rolling his eyes. "What is it that you want anyway? That you had to come in at just that time? Bill questioned Nathan and noticed his face turn from playful to serious. Bill knew it was not a joking matter or just a social call. Nathan cleared his throat and began. "There was a fight that broke out at the saloon just a little while ago. Jesse and Hickam got caught in the middle of it but other than minor injuries everyone is okay..." Bill was watching Nathan's face carefully he knew Nathan wasn't exactly fond of the saloon or the man that owned it. Nathan continued. "Lucas says he knows one of the three men that started it but he refuses to press charges. Even though there was a significant amount of damage. He told me the name of the guy but seems to still be holding back information." Nathan ran his hand through his dark hair he was very agitated. "Well, Nathan just let me know how I can help and I'll do my best." Nathan began "So all I know about this guy is his name, Jameson Taylor. Jesse said two of them were pinkertons, all tall dark hair guys. But that's it. All we have to go on. I was going to go to the old Canfield cabin to see if I could go talk to the pinkertons that were there. Do you want to come with?" Bill grabbed his vest and his gun from his bottom drawer and put it in his leather holster. "You know I'll tag along. But let's not make it too long of a night." Nathan rolled his eyes playfully with Bill. "It won't be, Ally and I were talking when we got interrupted about the fight. I promised I'd finish tonight." Bill could sense something wasn't quite right with him. He seemed unnerved, and a little edgy which Bill hadn't seen this side of Nathan before. "Anything else you want to talk about?" Nathan was taken aback by the question, he wasn't sure if he wanted to share what was really bothering him or not. But he knew Bill would find out eventually. "Elizabeth. She uhhh... she said she loves me. But she's not in love with me. She said she was just trying to find Jack in me." Nathan's head sank in defeat and he began shaking his head still in disbelief. Bill came over and put his hand on Nathan's shoulder. "I'm sorry Nathan, I had no idea. But you listen to me right now Nathan. You are an outstanding Mountie. But after getting to know you these past few years I've come to know that you are an even better man than Mountie. And I know what you are feeling now... rejection? I have gone through it as well. If you ever want to talk more you are always more than welcome to stop by. Just knock before coming barging in." Now it was Bill's turn to wink and Nathan couldn't help himself but a small crooked wry smile appeared on his face.
