Dream holder chapter 9, Discussions
It was nearing The lunch period at the grimwood school, however the Ghouls girls were on an early break given by miss grimwood, they weren't sure why, but they assumed it had something to do with the recent event's that had accrued, so now spent the period in the Lounge, and even though not one of them had sad a thing on the matter so far, one could tell it was on each of their minds. however that soon changed when Tanis spoke up first
" That book was causing a lot of problem and making me feel bad,, But I'm just glad that we can finally told the truth about it, meaning I can finally sleep good again " she said as she held one of her cryptic stuffed animals close to her. " I never felt more relived before in my life, "
winnie however rolled her eyes and spoke up " well, it was just a little secret, there was no need to get all worried over it, and besides Miss grimwood doesn't even seem upset by it, " she said crossing her arms and slumping back into the sofa she was sitting on, a clear look of embarrassed about the matter stained her face.
" yeah, but you where the one who broke out and confessed, " tanis said with a playfully innocent giggle,
winnie just grumbled as she then took a bite of her rotten ham and eggs sandwich she had brought with her. " well, I only came clean for your sake, I don't think it'd had been a big deal if we didn't, let's just put it behind us now " she said not keeping her eyes on the Mummy. however sibella then piped in now
" well, I still can't believe that you'd go and do such a thing to poor tanis, I mean it's one thing if you want to get into some trouble yourself winnie, but don't drag little tanny into it," . she saidas she was brushing her Hair, with a comb, " I mean, I know she was acting strange yesterday, but never would have thought you'd have something to do with that,"
" Hey, I didn't know she was going to feel awful about it, that's why when she told me, I said she could confess, " winnie said a little grumpily.
" yeah, but really, sticking your nose were it doesn't belong can only get you into more trouble, and one of these days...your going to get stuck in something you can't weasel your way out of, "
winnie rolled her eyes, " aright, alright, I made a little mistake, but really, it was not like I tried to use the book or anything, not like, ugh, Well you know who, which brings me to say, I'm surprised no one is focusing on that " little " detail "
" very tru, I mean, from all this, it at least it did seem to give us some more incite on the Book and about who has used it before , " Elsa now said in, who was orginally reading a book on Mad science, but now had placed it aside.,
" well, I could only guess Miss grimwood was going to explain that to us sooner or later really " sibella said,
" yeah, but even though she said a lot, I still wonder more about that book, it seems like a lot of history is behind it, I mean, she mentioned eight other books, now that has got to have some interesting History to know, " Elsa said, looking up from her book,
" what I find most interesting is that revolta was a even a student here, who knew someone so wicked could attend such a school, " phantasma added,
" yeah just the thought of it makes my fur stand straight " winnie said wincing a little " if any thig, that should be the real focus here, I mean, that awful witch tried to do more Awful things to this school before our mishap with her.
" It does seem pretty strange that she'd even be allowed to attend this school based on how she is " Phantasma added.
" well, Miss grimwood said that was a long time ago, revolta probably wasn't the exact same witch she was when she tried to captured us." sibella said thinking back to that awful time,
" Yeah, but it sounded like it didn't take long before she became that witch, she tried to destroy the school, just when she was a little girl. winnie said. " that's pretty messed up thing to try and do at such a young age, "
" oh true, and not to mention she tried to do so by using that book, even claiming it was hers ? makes me really wonder what had caused her to say that." Elsa said now rubbing her chin, ", this makes me think there is more to that book and even this school then we are led to know, "
" Like more secrets !? oooh, just think about it, I mean, miss grimwood always seems to have some sort of secret or surprise to tell us about this place,..who knows what else there is, " phantasma said excitedly
" , I just realized I could be be sleeping in the same room revolta once had...that's creepy " winnie said itching her head,
" well,I'm sure there is a lot of things we may not know now, but perhaps it'll be explained to us sometime,until then, lets just try and relax a little, it's been a bit of a crazy week. " sibella said,
" Relax ? ugh, how can I !? it's so boring, we can't even head into town or anything for who knows how long,," winnie groaned as she sprawled her body onto the ground,
" it's just until this whole thing with the prank in town passes over, it won't take long I'm sure," sibella tried to reassure,
" but you know how those towns folks are, they'll overreact to anything strange and odd...and not human, " winnie sighed, then suddenly looked in pure anger " and it's all because of those darn Langley sisters, for so long they been out to make us look bad, sometimes they make my blood boil more then revolta ! "
" come now winnie, I know, those sisters are pretty Mean,, which I also think there father plays a big part in that, but, comparing them to revolta ? " the vampire said shaking her head, " I mean, well they seem to be the only ones who actually despise us the most," to which the werewolf just shrugged a bit looking at her lower paws.
" yeah, that may be true, but it seem they'll do anything to make ghouls look bad, yet they behave more nasty then they say we do, " Elsa said nodding her head.
" I grow tired of there false claims about us, it's reason like that why ghouls are looked down at," winnie said
" yeah it makes me upset when they'll say awful things about us, " tanis said with with a sigh,
sibella stopped brushing her hair looked down at her and placed a hand on her shoulder, but then perked up. "hey, we know a lot of what they say isn't true, we aren't bad, were just a bit different' and those people will someday see that, and learn that the only ghouls you need to look out for are those like revolta, who let's all be glad, is out of our hair, " sibealla reassured everyone.
Tanis then perked up as well, " plus, we have wilbie now too " the mummy ghoul said " he is really accepting of us, so much he has even became our friend, " Tanis said with a smile, " and he always said he wanted to meet ghouls, and now look " she said,
winnie nodded " yeah, wilbie seems like a pretty cool boy, " a lot of fun to hang out with,," she said rubbing her chin, I mean, it's not often you meet a human who's willing to be around a ghoul for as long as he has, and plus, that comic he gave me was really cool too " she said as she glanced over at it laying on a stand next to her, then looked around suspiciously as if you make sure matches wasn't nearby scheming to take it.
" Yeah we are pretty lucky to have a friend like Wilbie, " sibella said with a nod " I can't wait to learn more about him and what humans are like, maybe one day even meet his family, I mean this could be a nice chance to see more what humans are like,I mean, I always wondered why they found us so strange, how different can we really be aside from the species part ?
" yeah, we all must like similar things, like food, games and other fun actives, I bet wilbie would love to play some of our games someday , like quick sand swimming, hide and shriek, or having a fungus tea party "" Tanis said with a innocent giggle, "
" well save for that last bit, maybe so ! " winnie chimed in, yeah and even those calloway cadet boys , who addmitlly are pretty accepting of us, don't seem all that different, I mean we both love volley ball, only diffrences is, we kick their butt at it now " she said with a toothy grin.
" well you all see then, I don't think we need to feel down about things, and just because were home bound for a bit, I say we make the best of it shall we, " sibella said with a confidant voice
everyone looked at one another and nodded in agreement, how ever as they did, Miss grimwood who was just outside the room, overheard them talking, she let a soft smile appear on her face, happy to hear her ghouls were being so confidant about this, she then looked down at matches, who was walking along side her,
" well my boy, it's good to see the girls are still in high sprites, and the fact they are happy with their new human friend, specially after all that had happened recently, " she said still with a soft smile, which over faded lightly, But I still decided I'd give them that little history lesson on the Book, " she said as she held the book softly in her hands , " to think, it hasn't been used over 40 years, and finally it's getting to be used once again to help fill the youthful minds with Knowledge on the magic of this world, and to be used the right way," she said as she began to make her way down the Hall,
matches just cocked his head as he followed and then nodded, happily,
Miss grimwood chuckled, " well i'm glad you think so too, All i wanted was for magic to be taught again in this school and I think all this waiting has finally paid off, I just hope I can help them to come to understand it better ,that magic is more then just flashy sparkles in the air, " she said as she stared down at the book and chuckled again, " well come on matches, lets whip up a nice meal I'm feeling hollow in my stomach, How about some spider stew ?"
Matches happily agreed to that as he licked his lips, drooling with hunger,
Meanwhile Back in shadehaven...
" Alright, let's see, this goes here ?...wait, No no, that goes over their, ?..so then, what do I do with this ? come on Helen, put it together, you got this ." A confused and slightly frustratingly voice said, of whom it belonged to was wilbie's mother, who sat their in the living room tangled in a mess of wires and cord's desperately trying to figure out how to understand the instructions for how to set up Her TV stand and all the stuff that went with it.
" Alright, I think I got the right one here here " she said as she pulled a long cord from the mess, as it then caused the VHS player and Laser disc player to get pulled off the stand and crash into the mess of wires. to which she stared blankly for a moment, blinking a couple times and then looked down at the single cord in her hand, to which she simply let it go,
" aargh ! Why can't thing's just be simple, ! " she said in frustration while untangling herself, she then got up and went to sit over on the sofa, laid herself at full length on the sofa and rubbed her head, but just then wilbie soon entered the room probably coming to see what all the commotion was about,
" oh, hey sweetie, your father finally sent those instructions for the TV stand, and I for the life of me still can't figure it out,,that's what I get I guess for having one that requires more then just plugging in one cored," she placed a hand on her forehead,
" well, I could have a look, I mean really, how hard can it be " he said with an amused look, he then made his way over to the TV and gazed down at the work she had done, only however he had com to see the mess of cables and wires all over the place his mother had managed to tangle up like a massive snake pit.
wilbie looked a little shocked, " uh.,err, seems you did bit more damage to it, then actually fixing it," he said
His mother rolled her eyes with an exasperated Look " please don't rub it in, I'll get it done yet, just you see, " she said with a determined then sighed and then looked up " so anyway, tell me, how have you been, anything interesting going on ? she asked.
wilbie simply shrugged , not much honestly, bit of a slow day, " he said,
" really now ? why not go see those friends of yours, you made it sounds like you have quite a good time with them " she said not sitting on in her spot.
" yeah, but it's still time for them to be learning in school, so I can't go bother them just yet," he said,
" oh I see, well I'd like to really meet them at some point, it's like you been s " secretive" of them, " she said as wilbie look up at her, only see she had a joking look to her face
" oh, eh yeah, sorry about that." he said rubbing the back of his head,
" well, can I at least have their names," she said with another joking smirk
wilbie rubbed his shoulder now instead, " names eh...okay I can do that...well, theirs sibella, Tanis, phantasma, Elsa,..and winnie, " he said looking a little somewhat sheepish for having saying those,
" oh my...those are all very interesting names..." she then placed a finger on her chin," um..are they all girls may I ask ? "
wilbie sat down on the couch next to her, " um,,well yeah..I should say it's a finishing school they attend, "
His mother stared down at him with a somewhat surprised expression , she had to admit, that was not what she was expecting, " oh, really now,..a finishing school of girls is where all your knew friends are from ? that's rather sweet, " she said with a small smirk,
" Yeah " wilbie eyes shot open for a moment, " But it's not your typical finishing school by any means ! " he Blurted,
" oh, " she said a little surprised again, " well what do you mean by that ? "
" well, remember before when I said they enjoy a lot of things I'm into, ? well..the school is actually based around that kind of stuff, "
" Hmmm, that does sound very interesting , makes me only want to meet them even more, what are they like though, ? "
wilbie rubbed his chin, " well, sibella seems like she's a very artistic girl, and Elsa, she's very knowledgeable, and tanis, she's very sweet,, phantasama loves music, and winnie,..she's a bit on the wild side, which I think is neat, that's all I can say now,,oh but also the one thing that we all have in common, we like the atmosphere of Horror and stuff like that.
" well, I see now, " His mother giggled a bit, " sounds like quite the school, glad to know you get along with them then, I can only imagine what these girls are like in real life. "
" yeah, well I'm sure soon enough you'll get to meet them. and maybe be in for a little surprise" he muttered to himself. ", well I'm going to go get a snack, " he said hopping off the couch and making his way over to the kitchen,,
" Alrighty then, I'll just be here attempting to fix this, cursed TV,," his mom said as just then she looked as those she remembered something, " oh hey I forgot to ask, you were in town yesterday,..did you happen to come across anything strange ? " she asked,
wilbie stopped in his tracks just before he entered the kitchen, " uuh, what do you mean by that ? "
" well, I heard some news going around that there was a ribbon cutting event going on, in the town square, but then something about. Ghouls or something like that appearing there and messing it up. can you believe that , ghouls ? I have no idea what that could be about ? but seems pretty interesting does it not, I know you'd be carious about that. "
" wilblie a slight cold chill run through him, " uuuh, no..I don't recall seeing anything, I didn't go to that event " he said quickly.
his mother tilted her head, " oh. alright then, just wondering, I never thought about ghouls being a thing before movieing here, I mean never seen one for myself in person, but I know it's something that'd be interesting if it were the case. " his mother said as she placed her finger on her chin as if she was thinking deeply on the subject.
wiblie perked up a little " yeah, it sure would be,, in fact as you know, Dad used to tell me about ghouls that reside In Scotland, I used to think what it'd be like to meet some ,"
His mother nodded, but then spoke " ah yes, I recall, it certainly be interesting really, but much like with people you got to look out for trouble making ones, it'd be a shame too live in such a nice a place where that is abundant. let's just hope this issue that happened in town doesn't mean anything serious. "
wibie then looked down," yeah your right, but I'm sure there is no need to worry, , I'll have to look more into that, " wilbie said with a nod, then backed into the kitchen, as His mother rubbed her head, as if noticing he seemed to be acting a bit strange..er ..but she didn't think much of it
just then though she called out, cuasing wilbie to stop in his tracks as he looked back looking a bit worried at what she was going to say,
," please be sure to remember to gather your laundry for me tonight alright , you been behind on that !? "
Wilbie sheepishly rubbed the back his head, " uh, right sure thing mom. " he said as he carried on,
Helen then looked back at the TV and the Mess of wires sprawled out on the floor,...she groaned too herself ..." alright...let's try this again,"

a little Meanwhile
wilbie starred out the his bedroom window the grey cloud filled sky while eating a bag of Torrito chips he had grabbed from the kitchen,,,His mind full of what he had been going the past few days, and the fact he decided not to head to the Grimwood school today after he was sure the classes were done,, he was not too sure why, but maybe it as because he was in a bit of a deep thought about a lot of things,. he reached into a bag of chips and munched down on a hand full, A lot was on his mind indeed ,specially involving the ghoul girls,
He was thinking about his new life here in shadehaven, and what it would all be from now on,, he thought back at how at he first never really cared about coming here, but gave it a chance, and now the past few days had been some of the most interesting in his life, he was about to grab another handful of chips when he realized the bag was now empty, he crumpled it up and tossed it into the trash bin, missing my having it bounce of the rim and land on the floor
he then looked over at his Pet tarantula Barbs on the desk top, she appeared to sense something was up with him as she approached him and gave him a look of concern,
wilbie smirked a little, " to think girl, you were the closest thing to a good friend I could call, " he chuckled a litttle, " and yet, the others i have now still aren't even human, " he laughed " not that ever bother me. " he smiled softly.
Barbs cocked her head a little, appearing not to understand what he meant,.
" of course you don't understand...your a spider. " wilbie said bluntly,
Barbs just stared at him blankly,
" you always pull that one don't you " wilbie said rolling his eyes and crossing his arms,
barbs just continued to start...she then itched her side with one leg..
wilbie sighed,,,then began thinking too himself , he also started gathering the laundry in his room, as his mother asked, as he did he now had the whole event of yesterday on his mind,, He wanted to tell his mother about the ghoul girls earlier when he talked with her, tell her who they who they really were, but after knowing she was aware of the events of yesterday and how many of the other people reacted towards them,, He now felt a little more hesitant, he wasn't too sure why, he know the girls weren't bad or anything,, they met no harm and sure weren't trouble makers, sure they were different and what others would find strange...but so have people found him to be as well, And that is why he liked them ,they were the kind of people, that he could relate to in a way,, and he was sure his mother would understand if he explained the whole ordeal, after all she was a very understanding and opened armed person, he know he couldn't prolong this, Sooner or later she'd know, and that be for the better,
" Tomorrow " he thought, he'd tell her tomorrow, for sure, and once she meets them, he'd be sure she'd love them, at least he thinks she would,, after all , he thinks they are wonderful and amazing, and it didn't matter if the rest of the town or even world didn't see them that way, cause he sure did,...
wilbie he thought as he stared back out the window. what ever happens next. he wasn't going to worry about it any more.. he was going to make the best of his new life here. any nothing was going to change that.
Later, Back at ruins of castle Revolta,
Revolta stood there on a balcony over looking the dead forest and mountains, she took in a deep breath as she watched the sun slowly setting off in the distance.
" ah...yes, now the evening is finally upon us, the perfect time to set the plan into motion, " she rubbed to of her hands together, with a devious smirk as she turned and headed back into her chambers.
" to think Creeper, this night is where everything will change, were we shall come out form the shadow and reek havoc on this miserable world, "
creeper then stood next to her and nodded, " oh yes revolta, I am so excited, I can't wait, be tell me, how are you sure this will go according to plan ? "
" well you simpleton, I thought of it, for starters, and besides, I have a few tricks to make sure we get that Book in our possession, and then, My dream, our dream, the dream of every ghoul, will soon be
coming true," she said as he clenched her fist
" soon, I'll be able to bring the humans to their knees before ghouls. once they witness The power of the Dream holder Book,
" revolta, pardon for bringing this up, but did you tell me you used the book before, and well, um...you unleashed a powerful amount of chaotic Magic...one you lost control of, what are you going to do to make sure that does not happen again, ? " creeper said rubbing a tentacle on his head,
Revolta stared at her feet, looking a little annoyed, but then looked back up, " well, I was young, Acted without thought, Now I am older and much more stronger and familiar with Magic, it will not happen again I assure you. "
creeper just simply nodded as though he understood but still looked a bit unsure.
" Besides," When I was student at the school, I studied the book, learned what I could about it, it was something I knew not to take lightly, I have seen the books awesome power, and
those powers need to be unleashed, it's been contained for far too long, great power should always be used to it's full advantage, " she then spun around " come creeper, it is time we go over the plan then set it off, we have not much time to waste, the sooner we do this, the better " she then began making her way back into the Castle, creeper simply followed her in,
inside Revolta had creeper and psych gather by the cauldron, which she lit the fire below with her magic. she then began explaining their plan,
" aright, so the time has come to this, The dream holder Book will soon be in our possession, so soon, that I ca already feel it, "
creeper and psych just paid attention as she continued to explain,
" The book I know is located in the schools library, there is a secret compartment where it is hidden, one must activate it for it in order to be found, " she the stroked her wand,
" Those grimwood brats will soon be turning in for the night, and when they do, it'll be the perfect chance for our little Helper to sneak in and retrieve the book, and deliver it to us," Revolta said with a little evil chuckle
she then looked over at psych, " my wonderful spiderbat, you'll be in task of getting our little soon to be helper to get that book, using that wonderful mind controlling ability of yours " she said as she stroked the top of his head
Psych just nodded in eagerness,
" great, I don't think it will be a problem at all, a child's mind is weak, specially that of a human,"
" with that being said revolta,..how do you plan getting this kid into the school ? and what if he is caught, ? " creeper asked,
" well, remember when I said i have a few tricks to get that book, well I just happen to know how he can get a bit of a boost, and the Grimwood school will supply that , " she chuckled " and if he's been caught, he will be getting the blame for trying to steal the book, and our cover will still be safe, those ghouls will think he;s only been their friend to steal from them,, but I don't think we need and worry about that, I guarantee the book will be in our possession this very night,"
" well, sounds like it could work, but what do we do until then ? " creeper asked,
" we will prepare, then we will have the boy bring the book to us at a picked location, Not too far from the grimwood school, once we have the book, we'll head into that miserable little town to demonstrate some of it's..mighty power,a power that I'll posses "
creeper then clapped to of his tentacle, " oh I'm loving the sound of this, I simply can not wait, those human won't know what hit em when we arrive, "
" and just to think, they'll fear me more then any other ghoul out there, and they'll have that little ghoul school to thank," she then looked out the window at the setting son, " it is time we start this though, Psych, get to the boys home, and do your work, once he is under my control, we'll meet you at the barren Bog, that's were we will have him deliver the book, Now Get going ! " she shouted,
Psych nodded and quickly flew out the window and into the approaching night sky. all while revolta cupped her hands staring devilishly..
" soon our moment of raining terror on the humans will begin, and this is only the beginning, soon a new life for everyone will begin, one where ghouls are on top of the world, living with others fearing of them," Revolta began to cackle as creeper just grinned evilly with her,
