Ghoul school, dream holder pt13 chapter 13 too the barren Bog..
Miss grimwood looked at the girls with disbelief. She could not think that anyone would come and steal the dream holder..mainly because no one outside this school would have such knowledge of the book's existence, unless it was someone who had to have been in the school when it was used,, she could not recall the boy ever being present whenever she had used it, the other possibility was someone told him about it.
" I don't get it..why...why would that boy take the spell book ?...how does he even know of it ? " Miss grimwood said sounding astonished
" we are not sure what he want's with it...but..well we may have told him about it at some point..i'm not too sure..it's all fuzzy " sibella said scratching her head..
" well, there is definitely more to this then meets the eye..I know that much.." miss grimwood said as she started rubbing her chin.." well all I'd be worried about is if the book's magic was not contained, then that could cause lots of trouble "
the ghoul girls looked at one another...then back at miss grimwood..
" you girls don't think that, there could be a way to still use the magic do you ? " she said raising an eyebrow at them.
" um well...there was this bright flash of light that illuminated out of the school..it kinda looked like that bright flash that happen when you open the book, " elsa stated...
miss grimwood's eyes then widened for a second, showing a slight look of worry..but then went back to a more serious look..." No...that can't be...that cant be right ? " she said as looked rather confused..
" oooh..I don't like when she talks like this..it never means something good, " winnie said rubbing her head..
" miss grimwood..what's going on ? " tanis asked...
" that light you all saw...that was the barrier keeping the magic to the school confined...that light was it being broken.." she said.." that spell was used to make sure if the book was ever brought outside the perimeter of school's stone walls,...it would be useless, he, somehow knew about this and broke the spell.."
all the girls looked at one another in confusion..
" how could he knew about that ? " winnie asked..
" yeah..there could be know way he'd figure that out so quickly " phantasma added..

" I don't know...but I fear that things are about to get worse if we don't act..we must get that book back.." she said..
" well he couldn't have gotten too far...he's only a human boy.." Elsa stated..
" yeah...but he did seem to pretty agile.." winnie said crossing her arms and rubbing the sore spot on her head..
" look, we'll go after him and see what this is all about..I'm sure he'll lead us somewhere. Maybe to shadehaven..or even to his house because where else can he go ? " sibella questioned
matched then began sniffing the ground like a bloodhound he then looked up and growled pointing into a direction,,,
" seems like matches has his trail " phantasma exclaimed
" that' using your nose matches ! " winnie said with a howel.
" great that'll help us...follow his scent before you lose it " sibella said transforming into a bat..
soon the large iron gates opened up allowing for them to continue their pursuit...they soon all quickly made there way away from the school following matched who was leading the way..
" we'll fallow him miss Grimwood , " Sibella said with a firm nod looking back. " we'll catch him in no time. "
" very well, I'll need to go check on the school then and see what else has been messed about with, i'll come look for you girls soon, please do be very carful, " she said with a firm nod.

as the ghoul girls continued to follow matches along the trail, the discussed the matter at hand, wondering what this could all mean, do to what they could to decipher it, but apparently none of them could figure out a good enough reason,
" I wonder where he could be off too ? " winnie said as she watched matches sniff at the ground..
" hmm..not too sure..but it looks as though he's heading near the direction of the town.." sibella answered,
" seems funny..he wasn't like himself..or what we know of him...just the other day he was wanting to stick up for us in town...and now he's stealing from us...makes no sense " elsa added...
" yeah...I mean..what reason could want that book for ? " phantasma also asked..
" well..remember when he gave him a tour of the school, maybe, maybe.." sibella sounded as though she was having a hard time trying to finish that sentence...
" what ? what are you going at ? " winnie asked..
" well, it's just., what if he was only using that to get at the book..maybe he somehow knew...and only pretend to be our friend in order to find out where it could be.." she said sounding unsure...but mostly hoping for it not to be true...
all the girls looked down slightly..trying to take that thought in..in truth..would that be so hard to believe..?...everyone always seems to look at them as freaks or monsters...why would this be any diffrent if it were true ?
" he'd never do that..would he ? " tanis said sounding a little heavily.
sibella looked down at her..then thought to herself for a moment..." No..he wouldn't.." she said placing a hand on her shoulder.. " and we'll know it once we find him. " she nodded in a reassuring matter..
tanis looked up at her and put on a small smile..whether it was an honest one or not..she was glad she was lucky to have friends like them..
as they continued along, following matches, they were soon approaching near the Calloway Military school,,
inside the calloways boy's room, they were sitting down on the floor around a miniature module set that looked like a battlefield, tug was on his knees holding a ruler , going over what appeared to be strategy plans, and other military tactics, , the others sat around listening to him, enjoying some popcorn they had or the occasion,
" alright, if you were to stand up wind, you'd have the advantage over your opponents . the enemy would be powerless to stop the incoming strike from...something like grenades.. grenades filled...with so much stinky gasses, " Tug said, as he was moving around small figurines on the model,
" they'd retreat in a matter a seconds , thus you'd have the upper hand on the battlefield, "
he said as he knocked over a bunch of the small figurines with the ruler, " any questions ? "
" Yeah..can I go make some more popcorn ? ..grunt ate it all ! " Miguel said shaking an empty bowl, he then glared at grunt who let out a small burp and had a satisfied look on his face
tug stared at the both of them for a moment, then rolled his eyes, " very well then, but please hurry, this is very important stuff here, " he said with a huff, then looked over at the others,
" listen we need to take this seriously, as calloway boys, it's out duty to be prepared for anything that can and will happen, nothing should ever catch us off our guard,, be aware f our surroundings, and know who's approaching when you normally won't expect it, " he said crossing his arms,
" hmm, well then does that count if we see those grimwood girls " baxter said raising hand
" huh, umm..yes,,,anyone really why'd you ask that ? " tud said raising his eyebrow,
baxter said nothing but simply stood up and pointed over to the window...tug looked over there slightly confused but made his way over to it, once he did he peeked out..and was surprised to see the Grimwood girls outside, who were apparently yelling and shouting out for someone by the looks of it,
" eh ? what could those grimwood ghouls be up to at this time of night ? " he said rubbing his head..
" well, they are ghouls, doesn't surprise me if they are out and about at this hour," grunt said joining him at the window,
" yeah...but sounds like they are up to something...I don't think I ever seen then around here this late,.." tug said rubbing his chin..." and whatever it is...I don't like it...I'm going to alert them they are on calloway property, " he said clearing his throat,
back outside the girls were all looking around shouting for wilbie, as matches continued to smell around,
" think he already lost his trail " winnie said looking unimpressed..
" just give him a moment, he'll pick it up again, " sibiella said,
" yeah, he couldn't have gotten too far at this point, " elsa tried to reassure,
" Hey ! just what do you think you are doing ! " they all heard a voice shout out to them..
all the girls suddenly looked over and saw Tug shouting out the second story window, down at them,
" Don't you girls know you are on restricted turf, this is calloway property, so I kindly ask you to vacate the premise at once !
" Hey maybe ne of those boys seen where he went, " phantasma said almost cheerfully, " hey, tug ! have you seen were our friend went ! " she shouted back...
tug raised an eyebrow in confusion...then shook his head, " what ! did you hear me.. ? I said you girls can't be here...you're trespassing ! "
Winnie then walked up and shouted back " ah forget your calloway rules for a moment, this is serious stuff here ! "
" hey calloway is a top notch school we can't be drawn into your silly little ghoul games ! " tug responded,
" silly ? I just said this is serious, we need to find wilbie, it's very important ! " she yelled back
" wait...who ! " tud yelled back down
suddenly a late flicker on in another window and opened up, soon a very tired and cranky Colonel poked his head out, wearing striped pajamas
" do you guys have any idea what time it is !? " ..I'm trying to get some sleep, you cadets should no a thing or two about being silent in the night.. now please, what's with all the yelling ! " he shouted out,
He then looked over to see tug and the other cadets, along with the grimwood girls...
" Ugh...whatever you guys are shouting about please keep it down..." he said rubbing his head,
" I really don't have time to get involved in with one of your feuds with one another...so please just argue quietly " he said as he shut his window...and turned the light back off...
all the other looked at each other a with confused expressions,
" *ahem* well anyway...what are you girls going on about ? " tug said a little more quietly
" it's wilbie..he's,,,well taken something from us and we need to find out why . " sibella said..
" wilbie ? you mean that one strange boy you girls were hanging out with ? " tug said rubbing his head..
" um, yes, that boy " she said rolling her eyes...have you seen him ? " sibella asked,
" No I haven't. we been busy all night, going over battle strategies, we have not seen your little friend "
" aw that's too bad...we really need to find him..hey..do you boys think you could gives us a hand ? " Elsa suggested
" help you ? tug said itching head.." Look we'd love to help you fund your buddy,..but we really need to..um ya know,,do calloway things, " he said as the others just nodded in agreement,
" sibella narrowed her eyes.. " oh you calloway boys, this is not a game..this could be very serious."
" Hey guys I think matches found his trail again, ! " Tanis suddenly shouted pointing over to the little green dragon,
" hmm good, there is no more time to waste, let's go, see you cadets later " she said heading out,
" yeah thanks for nothing, " winnie said up to the boys, before running off as well,
the boys just watch them as they all left the premise..
" those girls get stranger and stranger...but really..we should consider locking the gate more often. I don't know how many more people are going keep wandering in here,. " tug said.
" hmm, well it does seem like they were concerned about this, ? " baxter stated,
" well whatever it is, we can't get drawn into any of their antics,, didn't you hear about what happened in town, ? apparently those girls are going around causing some trouble,, though I'm sure it's nothing to fret about "tug said turning around.." then looked suprised " hey, I thought you guys made more popcorn ? " he said holding up another empty bowl,
" we did." Jamel said motioning over to grunt who shrugged innocently,..then let out another burp,
tug just shook his head.. " let's just get on with our plans," he said sitting down by the model again,. Now as I was saying, you must always be alert...and pay attention...never let anything catch you off guard, "
as he was saying that..Baxter sighed and looked back outside the window..seeing that girls disappear into the distance...when suddenly Psych flew down and landed upside down screeching at him on the window..
Baxter let out a startled shriek as he fell back and pointed at the spider bat..
" guys ! " he shouted..
the others quickly made their way over to him, were jamal and Miguel helped him up...
" what's the deal baxter ? " tug asked
" B-bat...a creeping looking bat in the window !." he said pointing over to the window...but then noticed it was no longer there,
tug stared at the window..and even looked out it but found nothing of the sorts,..he then shut it.."
" I Think your going Batty." he said, turning around, just as psych flew past by behind him...
Back in town,
" they're finally done,..that took much longer than I was expecting, " said wilbie's mother, as she had just completed folding the final bit of laundry, " she then let out a small yawn, " Now I think I can get some rest, "
she said ash she picked up a basket and made her way out of the laundry room, holding a basket of wilbie's clothes on her hand, " perhaps I should place these in his room for in the morning, so he can have nice smelling clothes for a change. " she said with a slight chuckle.
she began making her way down the hall..and over to wilbie's room, to which she notice the door was opened and the light was on, she raised an eyebrow thinking he must still be awake despite saying he was going to bed early,
she shrugged it off and made his way over to his room,,she stopped for a moment, seemingly to appear hesitant, but then shook her head and slowly pushed the door open
" wilbie are you still awake sweetie ? "
she then let out a gasp as her eyes widened, .his room...it was trashed..and he was no were to be seen in it...she dropped the basket of clothes onto the ground, what surprised her the most was all the whit silk looking material that was scattered around the room,
if she didn't know better, to her it looked like spider webs...
" wilbie !?" she called out., looking concerned,
she began to look around the room, calling out his name, hoping he was hiding or doing something that would result in one of his spooky little pranks he used to love to pull on her,
" wilbie, where are you ! " she said as she grabbed one of the sticky silk strands off the wall, she notice how it indeed felt very much like a spider web..only..much stronger and stickier,
she immediately ran out of the room and into the living room, calling out to her son,
" wilbie please come out if this is a joke...this isn't funny ! " she said worryingly. she then stopped when she noticed the marking pysch had left on the carpet floor when flying out from the chimney
she stared down at it in complete confusion, she then bent down to examine the strange imprinted markings, could could make he slight outline of bat wings...
she stood back in shock, as she looked around..she notice a light trail of soot that led to the hallway...which is ere wilbie's room was..she widened her eyes again and made her way to her front door, and much to her shock..she notice her sons shoe's were gone...meaning he must have left...
she quickly opened her front door which she notice had been unlocked only confirming her belief... and she stepped outside...the streets were empty and quiet..and her son was no were to be seen out there
" wilbie ! " she desperately shouted out into the night..
she However got no answer as she stood there with a worried look on her face...wondering were her son was...hoping he was okay...
back with the grimwood girls...
" you can't be serious...there is no way he's in there..why would he go in there ? " winnie said as they all stood at the entryway of the Barren Bog.
No one would be fool enough to go in there at this time of night...especially a human . " she added,
" while I'd like agree with you..this is were matches has led us.. " sibella said as matches nodded in agreement and pointed into the bog...
" but it's so dark crawling with lots of creatures that would like to make a nice meal out of anyone who steps into it...remember our last little visit to this place, " winnie said crossing her arms,
" yes I remember...but look, his shoe prints are even here, " she said pointing to a muddy prints that led into the bog..
" well..this is a strange place for him to take the book. " tanis said " what could he ever do with it in here, ? "
" I'm not sure..but we are going to find out.,come on girls. lets just stick together.. it's more dangerous at night , " sibella said leading the way into the dark and murky Bog..
the all stood together, despite the name Barren Bog..there were many trees that grew around this place..long creepy looking trees, similar to the fores that grew around the school. only this place..was much more dangerous..one can say it's not a popular tourist attraction..mainly because anyone who comes in here..normally doesn't come back in once piece..something is always trying to eat another..
the ghouls themselves..actually don't have too much of a problem with this place..in fact they'd used to think this place was pretty neat, dangerous..but neat, but considering that this is the place were revolta kidnapped them all before to make them all become evil...it doesn't bring back the best memories..
the girls stayed close together as many sounds from the bog emitted form all around them, , including the sounds there foot steps were making in the wet dirt...
matches continued to look around, smelling around, trying his best to keep ahold of the trail od sent..but the wet murky ground was making it harder for him to do so...
elsewhere in the bog..
revolta flew high above the bog..looking for a place to knew the boy was here somewhere..
" perhaps..you should have chosen a specific location in the swamp ? " creeper said..
" grrr, what does it matter .the boy should be here..I can feel it in my guts.." she stated..as she then began to lower her broom down to the ground. she then began to shift her eyes around...the speak quietly to herself.." I feel something...he's here.." she said then pointing over to a tree stump..
only to see a owl sitting atop it..it stared at them for a moment then hooted before taking off...
revolta rolled her eyes. as creeper soon came landing down in the mud with his broom.
" yick...I tell you revolta...how do you plan to find him here...this place goes on for acres, he said brushing some mud off himself..
revolta looked around at the swampy land...dead trees, and murky fog was all that surrounded them,...
" mmmh...perhaps we should fly and scope around the swamp.." she said as she made her way through the tick mud, and onto a more harder piece of land.
she came to an overlook, that stood nearly nearly 50 feet tall, giving her a good view of the Barren Bog..
" perhaps we'll even be able to see him from here,.." she said rubbing her chin.
" well let's hope he show's soon, this place is making a lot of noises.." creeper said as he stared bag into a forestry area..noticing a lot of eyes were peering out at them, then quickly all went looked away...
" oh hush creeper. you been here before..we are the ones anything should fear the most hear.. " she said with confidence, but suddenly flinched when they both hear a crack in the forest behind them,
this immediately caused revolta and creeper to take a defensive stance, as she pulled out her wand, charging it up with her magic..ready to blast anything that showed itself..
as she did that , they could hear something shuffling around in the bushes..making it's way towards them..revolta shackley had her wand aimed toward whomever it would be..
creeper stood behind revolta, gripping her shoulders with two of her tentacles..
and just then, Psyche flew out from the trees and around them before fluttering in front of them..
revolta relaxed and lowered her wand..and sighed.. " ah pysch it's just you..."
" I knew it the entire time, " creeper said nodding..
just then the heard more shuffling from the bushes..but this time revolta didn't get defensive...instead...she raised an eyebrow, intrigued as to what this would be...
and in moment...wilbie came pushing shuffling his way through the bushes..
he stooped when he made it into the clearing and stood there..holding the dream holder
book in his arms...he had a blank but dark and almost expressionless look on his face..
revolta stared at the boy for a moment...then grinned, " yes, yes, excellent, " she began to chuckle to herself..." you have brought the book, "
wilbie nodded...and held the book out to show her...
revolta cupped her hands.." this is perfect...I know have what I have wanted for years.. a way to destroy and drive more fear into the humans...so ironic twas a human who helped achieve that . " she laughed to herself..." now bring revolta the book. " she said holding out a hand,
wilbie nodded and began to make his way over to her..when then, they all heard another voice call out..
" Wilbie ! "
revolta's eyes widened...as she growled to herself.. " you can't be serious "
she them turned over...and much to her slight surprise and extreme annoyance, she saw all the ghoul girls standing at the bottom of the over look, staring up at them...
" wilbie..is that you up there ! " winnie yelled as she squinted her eyes...but then widened them when she saw who she was standing with..." you can't be serious..." she said as she looked dumbfounded..all the others also Had shocked expressions on their faces, they stood there in complete disbelief...
" is...is that ? " tanis tried to say..
" revolta..you're alive ? " winnie said eyes widening ,
revolta stared down that the ghouls and and crossed her arms and chuckled.." well..I can not deny that...Yes I am alive ! .." she said with a bark " but did you really think I was dead ? I mean really..that's just ridiculous " she said shaking her head in her own disbelief,
" b-but..well, your castle..it was destroyed..and you have not been heard from or seen in almost a year.." winnie said trying ti wrap her head around this,
" you fools...you may have destroyed most of my castle..but it takes a lot more then that to get rid of revolta..I been watching you girls for quite some time...listening to you...waiting for an opportunity like this to come.. "
" wait...what opportunity ? sibella finally spoke up..
revolta then began to chuckle to herself again.. " why...this of course.." she said holding up the Dream holder spell book..." I had been waiting a very long time to get my hands on this book " she said staring at it sinisterly...
" the dream holder ? you're the one who wanted it...that does make sense.., but wilbie..he's the one who stole it ? " Elsa said rubbing her head..
" Ha ! yes he did..but you see..I commanded him to do so.." she said pointing at him...he just stood there in his trance like state.." he was under my control and he did what I wanted very well, " she said with a smirk
psych then landed on the boys head and let out a screechy cackle of his own,
" oooh..that is sneaky and awful..using our friend to steal from us.." winnie said with a growl...
" well at least we know...it wast him " tanis said still sounding concerned.
" revolta that is horrible...release him from your spell " sibella demanded,
revolta stared down at them and grinned..." oh..very well..sense he is no longer as of use to me. " she said with a mischievous chuckle, then held up her wand and snapped her fingers...
suddenly wilbie's eyes stopped emitting the red rings around them,,and soon he started groaning as he placed his hands on his head..
wilbie's vision was blurred as he saw everything spin around him..he shook his head as he snapped out of his trance..causing psych to fly off him..
" oooh..my head.." he said rubbing his head.." where...am I " he said looking around..not being familiar with anything around him..or even remembering what has happened..
He groggily turned around as his vision was still blurry, he could only make out two dark figures in front of him
he shook his head one more time to let his vision clear..and once it settled..he saw revolt and creeper staring evilly at him..he of course did not expect this, or recognize them, and was startled.
" Wha ?! who are you !? " he said as he stumbled back in alarm, as he saw them, he though not see the edge of the small cliff behind him,
" wilbie look watch out ! " winnie yelled
wilbie looked back in confusion but did not stop in time and suddenly tripped over the ledge of the overlook and began to plummet down..wilbie wailed out in alarm as he fell,
" hold on wilbie ! " sibella yelled ad she transformed into a bat in a quick flash, she then darted up to him at impressive speeds as he was falling to the ground..she managed to grip the back bottom part of his shirt, managing to keep ahold of him...
she grunted as she struggled to hold him on, wilbie just looked shocked around in complete alarm, as his feet dangled in the air,
" w-what's going on ! " he yelled..
" hold on wilbie..just Let me set you down, you're a little heavier then you look ! " she said as slowly began to descend to the ground, once she did she set him down, and then let herself flop down next to him, panting slightly...
wilbie rubbed his head in confusion as he looked over to see the other ghoul girls looing at him with concern and relief,
" oh wilbie are you okay," tanis said running up next to him. " are you hurt ? " she asked hoping to tend to him.
" uuh, I'm fine I think, um, what's going on here ? " he said still on confusion,,
" you were under revolta's evil grasp, she mind controlled you into stealing a spell book from our school. " Phantasma explained..
wilbie cocked his head...still unsure what was going on.." oh, and uh, were are we exactly ? "
" at the Barren bog..that's were she had you bring her the book, but matches followed you here," els added..
wilbie looked over to see matches standing there..looking a little unhappy to see him...
" yeah..you were acting all crazy..but trust me..she can make a person do that," winnie said growling up at her..
wilbe just sat there in confusion still trying to process anything that was going on...
" well., what do you plan to do now revolta, now that you have that book ? " sibella said with a raised eyebrow..
" oh...you'll know very soon, now that I have this book..I posses powers like no other...this book will be my gateway to restoring the rightful order.." she said staring down at the book, " one were ghouls are the dominant species of this world., really you girls should be happy about this...once I unleash havoc on the humans..they'll fear and look up to us as the superiors we are.." she grinned..
" but revolta..that isn't right or fair..humans an ghouls have been getting along for years..you can't harm them.." sibella tried to reason.
" yeah..we get along with humans...and so do many other ghouls..if you do this..they'll think we're all monsters.." phantasma tried to reason as well,
" ha...you girls...you are pathetic really...you have no idea that this is not how things are supposed to be, your all being led to believe that you and humans can get along. You have no idea what they do to those like you.." she barked at them..
" what ever horrible things that is...is not true...anything bad that happened between humans and ghouls was hundreds of years ago.." sibella pointed..
" perhaps you see it that way...but you have no idea what it's like to be looked down at..to be considered a low life and is shunned by all.." she glared down at them all...whom all the girls just had raised eyebrows..
" um...yeah..we don't always get the most positive looks from people we admit..but they'd never do anything to harm us. " sibella stated..
" and well you are kinda evil you know..." winnie added.
" so it's no wonder anyone would think of you as such." Elsa said as well,
revolt stared a them for a moment..the twitched her eyes.. " what does it matter to you ! I'm just doing what is meant to be..and if you can't see that I have no problem with that..I'd have offered you a chance to live in this knew world that has been restored, but clearly you have no intentions on wanting that...and I can' have you meddling brat's getting in my way again...you must be taken car of along with any others alike. be it human or ghouls ! " she said as she held up the dream holder book,
" now watch as I unleash some of this books complete awesome powers..! and destroy all of you.." she grinned..
" wait revolta..we know what you did with that book many years ago...you unleashed powers from it that even you couldn't handle..you'll cause destruction that who knows what'll it'' do ! " sibella said in alarm..
" ooh..I assure you..that' will not be happening this time..for I have master magic over the years, and once I use this book to destroy you all, I'll unleash chaos like you never seen on this miserable world..starting with that pathetic little town you call shadowhaven, " she said as she let out a sinister laugh..
she then hopped on to her broom stick and hovered into the air a bit.." now let's just...what should I use." she said as she open the book and began to flip through it, she then put on a creepy and mischievous smile.." oh psych ? how would you like to have some tasty ghouls and a human for a meal, ? " she said with a laugh..
psych cocked his head..the nodded in agreement while licking his lips.
the ghoul girls just looked at one another in confusion...but suddenly revolta started waving her hand around the are as she began to speak allowed a spell from the book,
" creature in sight. grow in height, become large, grow with might, become massive and come with fright ! " she said as she pointed over at psych...who just stared at her for a moment...at first nothing happened at all...but then a red aura began to glow around psych..and soon he gang to change...he started growing..at first only slightly...but then then much larger...he continued to grow and grow, until he was soon 50 times his original size...
revolta just laughed as he grow..
everyone just stared at him in disbelief , he went from a small little spider bat, to the size of a monstrous beast,..looking to be the size of a large bush plane...
" oh it's nice to see psych grow up big and strong.." revolta cooed in a sinister way..
" oh yes..he's a real sight now . " creeper added..
revolta then flew in front of him on her broom." psych, revolta must go and do some horrible things now to the human town, you stay here and take care of those troublesome ghouls. then you can come and meet me when you're done, " she stated..
psych let out a large screech that caused slobber to splat onto revolta's face...
