A/N: Hey guys, it's been a while since I've updated. I kinda got stuck on how to write this chapter so I've been writing it in pieces. Hopefully, you'll enjoy it!

Sebastian was in disbelief, how could he be alive? The last time he saw James was when Cassandra was killed, before he was dessicated. After dosing him with vervain, they took him back to the school and locked him in the cellar, spelling it so he wouldn't be able to get out. Sebastian was at the dock, trying to grasp what was going on. He could hear the crunch of leaves creeping up to him. "Hey," Hope said as she approached him.

"What are you doing here?" he asked her

"I came to check up on you," she said.

"You want to know about him," he said, sounding more like a statement than a question.

"Only if you want," she said, not wanting to push him.

"I met him, shortly after I turned. He helped me control the hunger, how to compel people, he became like a brother to me," Sebastian began to say.

Lizzie paced behind the door, debating on whether she should enter the room. Hope had told her not to because they didn't know anything about this new vampire. But Lizzie's curiosity was getting the best of her. He was trapped in the cell with magic so there's no way he could escape, what's the worst that can happen? she thought to herself. Lizzie opened the metal door and entered the room. She stayed on the other side of the cell, her back pressed against the brick wall. James was sitting on the metal bench, as if he was waiting for her to come in. Lizzie didn't know what to say, she wanted to know how Sebastian and he knew each other but the question didn't leave her mouth. "You want to know about Sebastian and I, don't you?" he asked

"How do you know him?" she asked

"Sebastian and I met shortly after he turned," James began, going back to when he and Sebastian met.

As James walked through the silent streets of the town, the smell of blood caught his senses. The sensation to feed caused the veins to appear under his eyes. He followed the scent of blood until he reached the source. It was then he saw two people pressed up against the wall, the man disconnecting himself from the woman's neck. James could see the blood streaming down his chin. The woman fell to the ground, unconscious, presumably dead. "It's a whole lot better when you don't kill them," James spoke, startling the man. "Less of a hassle to clean up,"

"You should get out of here before you're next," the man said, wiping the corner of his mouth.

"Wouldn't be so sure," James said with a cocky attitude. Next thing he knew the man vamp sped, attempting to attack him but James easley subdued him and pinned him to the ground. "I'm James," he said getting off the man.

"Sebastian," he responded

"So what you helped him commit muder? Feed on innocent people?" Lizzie asked

"No, I helped him control his hunger. Taught him everything about being a vampire, he became my brother," James explained.

"So why are you here dropping bodies left and right?" Lizzie asked

"You may want to get a bit more comfortable," he suggested.

"After helping me, I joined him in his sailing quest. My human years were nothing but torture, I wanted revenge which James helped me get. I found the people who tortured me endlessly and I killed them all, tore them limb from limb without care," Sebastian explained

There he stood, feeding on the last man who made his life hell. Who tortured him endlessly. The deck was covered with lifeless bodies, blood dripping from his chin and onto his vest. He felt no empathy for them, just satisfaction as he heard them scream right before he drained their bodies.

From that moment forward James and Sebastian continued their travels. Everywhere they went, feeding from the innocent, dumping their bodies into the ocean to cover their tracks. It wasn't long before Sebastian became a ruthless vampire, who killed anyone who had wronged in their life. He eventually adopted the name Sebastian the Merciless. James was the most reasonable of the two, careful to properly dispose of the bodies. The two had become close, due to their shared trauma, both suffered from terrible childhoods. Although Sebastian's recklessness angered James, he couldn't leave him.

"We both liked the thrill of the kill, I was more reckless than him but we enjoyed it the same," Sebastian continued.

"You don't have to continue if you don't want to," Hope said, hearing the pain in his voice.

"I'll be okay. I thought he was dead, but all this time he's been alive," Sebastian said, his mind drifting to the last moment they spoke. Sebastian needed answers of what has happened over the last hundreds of years. "I need to talk to him, I need answers," he said, getting up and heading towards the school.

"So what, you helped him get his revenge and then killed some people? What happened then?" Lizzie asked

"After years of sailing the sea, we arrived in Roanoke. Let's say things went south from there." he said.

"That's when Sebastian met Cassandra?" she asked

"Yes, that is where we met her," he said sadly. "But I see you're familiar with this story," he said

"I know Sebastian met a girl, they fell in love, she died and dessicated him," Lizzie said.

"Yes, that is the simpler version of what happened," James looked down at his feet. Before Lizzie could say anything else Hope and Sebastian came running through the doors.

"Well well, about time you showed up," James smirked.

"Why are you here? Why now?" Sebastian asked, needing to know.

"For hundreds of years, I've waited. Waited for you to reawaken. When I found out you did, I started to plot your demise. But suddenly, everything went blank. Something was missing, I had all these things telling me about a person I had forgotten about. For months I searched for that piece and then everything clicked. Every memory of you came back. I knew then that I had to come here, seek the revenge I've longed for," James explained, anger in his voice.

"Revenge for what? What could I possibly have done to you to earn so much hatred?" Sebastian yelled begging for answers.

"You know what, I think I'm done talking. Just know you deserve all that's coming your way," James said before breaking the chairs from his hands. "You can't get out even if you tried," Hope said

"Are you sure about that?" he asked, pushing the cell door, opening it. He vamp sped to Hope throwing her against the wall knocking her unconscious before she could do anything. Then snapping Sebastian's neck. He sped over to Lizzie standing in front of her. "I will take everyone and everything he loves, including you. You will be his downfall," he said before hitting her across the face, knocking her down unconscious.
