Damn I just realized I made a big mistake. Like in the first day Reyna was the RA who gave Jason his ID and in the first day of classes Jason acted like he hadn't seen Reyna in a long time... So that's what happens when you don't update for like two month and completely forget about what you have written. Same thing with Drew.
Okay, damage control time. I got this. (Famous last words)
Marlene's POV
I frowned as I went on TikTok. Last night I was messing around with Piper, doing silly dances and singing weird songs on TikTok. Just loosening up after a long day of lectures. Now they were shipping 'McLeanon', whatever that was.
It became clear since the first day I had known Piper that she didn't like all the fame her parents had. She dressed normally and tried to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible, unlike her snobby sister Drew. She lived for the attention.
Well people had clearly recognized Piper in those videos and made a big deal out of it.
"Hey Piper-"
"Yeah I know." She cut me off before I could finish. "The press is having a field day. And you have no idea what my sister is saying about me on Twitter! Homophobic bitch. Not that I am, you know... But still. She still has a grudge against me. Ugh, I didn't get her kicked out, she did!"
"I'm sorry about all this trouble."
"Nah, it's not your fault. You'd think a couple filter and emoji stickers could throw them off, but no."
"Hey, what do you mean kicked out?" I was very curious. Something that big would've definitely caused a big splash in the media, so I was surprised I didn't hear anything about it.
"Oh that! Drew was being an idiot as always. It was May, I think, and dad had a couple important people over for dinner. Drew didn't know this and had a couple of her groupies over. Drinking, smoking, all that bad stuff. You can never imagine the look on dad's face when he opened the dining room door and saw that. Completely embarrassed dad in front of his guests, got into a screaming match right there. Drew started throwing stuff, broke dad's favorite renaissance piece, and got disowned and kicked out. I didn't know what my parents did, but the guests didn't speak about the incident anymore, although they never came over again. Eventually the news leaked out, reporters on our lawn twenty four seven." Piper sighed and rubbed her temples as if just talking about this subject is painful.
"That must've been hard."
"It was. Since Drew just turned twenty and was plenty old to start to not rely on dad, he got her a small apartment, a rented car, arranged for one of his business partners to give her a small job to make a living, and sends her a thousand dollars a month. Not much, but at least she doesn't have to pay rent. Other than that they don't talk, like ever. They covered it up by saying 'Drew is an independent young women who wanted to stop depending on her rich parents for everything'. I heard she got fired from whatever coffee shop she worked in a month ago. Wonder how she's doing."
"What job do you think she's doing now?"
"Probably serving Mr. Malfoy ice tea, although she would make an excellent floor scrubber for the Blacks." Piper grinned at me. I burst out laughing. It was nice, knowing she trusted me enough to tell me these things.
Lily's POV
It was Saturday morning. Rachel and Hazel were helping out with Ms. Muse in the art building. I decided to just walk around campus with Severus, who was late. I sat by the fountain, dipping my hand into the cool water.
"Hey." A voice startled me out of my thoughts and I looked up. It was the girl from the meeting a couple days ago, the one with dark hair in a braid.
"Hi, you're from the STUGO meeting, aren't you?"
"Yeah, I'm Reyna."
"Lily, Lily Evans."
"I must say you made quite an impression that day." My face turned the same color as my hair at that comment.
"No, I actually think it's pretty brave. You're not afraid to voice your thoughts and punish those who deserves it. Fairness is a trait I see in you. I think they'll be an idiot to not pick you."
"Well they're not going to. I didn't even receive the email scheduling the interview time and I know Frank got his." I suddenly found myself spilling the trouble that was on my mind, I didn't even know her that well. "But it's okay, I guess I kind of deserved that. Tuney always said I was too outspoken."
Reyna stared at me for a long period of time. Her dark eyes seemed to pierce through my soul. "I'm curious, why do you want to be on the board? There's a lot of work and the meetings tend to be boring and take up a long time. Not to mention watching Octavian and Lucius fight over every and anything is very annoying."
"I want to change things, make it better. Help the students out. My mom was a very religious person. She would bring me to the church every Sunday and point out all the kind things Christ did. How he help others even when they didn't believe in him. I admire his selflessness, dying on the cross to save us from our sins."
Reyna smiled like that was the answer she was looking for. "I'm sure you'll get your interview. It was nice meeting you, Lily. I have an appointment with a friend, I'll see you around."
I smiled and waved goodbye, spotting Severus in the distance and walked over.
Jason's POV
I waited inside Starknuts patiently and sipped my Frappuccino.
I hadn't seen Reyna since she went to college last year. Sure, I saw her when she handed me my ID on my first day here but we didn't properly talk before Leo dragged me off. It was hectic, moving in and meeting new people, so I quickly forgot about it until the first day of class. After that we arranged to have coffee while catching up. Which is why here I am, in a booth by the window, sipping my drink while waiting for her to show up.
It wasn't like Reyna to be late so I figured it was something important. Besides munching on the macaroons while waiting was enough to keep me occupied.
Four macaroons later, Reyna walked in and I waved her over. She snatched up a purple one without asking and sat down in front of me. Just like the old times.
"I can't believe it's not even October and they're already selling Halloween macaroons. Mmmm, purple." Reyna grabbed another one. I'm fine with that, I like the orange ones more.
"I bet when it actually is October they'll be selling red and green ones with snowflakes on it."
Reyna snorted. "True that. So, how are you doing these days?"
"Pretty good, adjusting to my classes quite well. Leo's still annoying the hell out of me. Last week, he made this contraption that squirted shaving cream randomly around the room. It's fine when you're shaving, it's not fine when you just stepped out of the shower and got a face full."
We talked about everything that happened between last year and now, from her women's shelter project to possible events arranged by STUGO.
"-prejudice against women who are unmarried by age thirty in many nations. So what if they don't want to spend the rest of their lives following the order of a man. There are still so many countries where women is supposed to stay at home and be housewives while the man worked, girls abused by poor families and married off for money... Andie is organizing a fund raiser for-"
"Andie?" I asked, never having heard of the name before.
"Andromeda, our newest member. Joined last week. Now we have six members- me, Thals, Zoë, Bianca, Phoebe, and Andromeda."
"Speaking of who, how's my sister? I haven't seen her in a while." Thalia was two years older than me. Back in seventh grade, she was in a car accident and in a coma. She stayed home to recover for an year. That's why she's in her sophomore year with Reyna instead of her junior year.
"I'm fine, thanks for asking. I was traveling with Diana to help spread awareness for equality amongst different genders. Sorry I didn't call, little bro." A familiar voice said behind my back. I turned around and saw my sister standing there, in her spiky hair and death-to-Barbie shirt glory. I got up and hugged her. She ruffled my hair and fixed my glasses before plopping down next to Reyna.
I sat down to and pushed the plate of macaroons towards her. "Have one, the orange ones are really good."
"I recommend the purple ones." Reyna injected, shooting me a challenging look.
After a moment of hesitation Thalia picked up a purple one and popped it into her mouth.
"Awwww Thals! How could you! You're my sister!" I protested.
"Yeah, but she's my girlfriend."
I choked on my water. "Really? Since when."
"Two months ago."
"And you didn't tell me?"
"She didn't want to make a big deal out of it." Thalia pointed at Reyna who rolled her eyes and shoved the girl next to her.
It was nice watching my sister and my best friend look at each other lovingly. Granted, it was a little weird and probably would take some time getting used to, but all in all I'm happy for them.
There was something I wanted to say but forgot what it was. Oh well.
Oh and there's a review telling me Kat's too cringy. I can explain why I made her that way. First, her openness and strong personality got everyone to introduce and know each other, saving me from have them meet one by one. Second, she, along with her roommates, is the characters I chose to demonstrate the maturity gained in college. Also lastly, that girl's got a sweet tooth and is constantly on a sugar rush so please excuse her.
I looked over it but there still might be some mistakes (I'm not god, I'm most certainly not perfect).
Review and tell me what character's POV you want to see the most.
