Introduction

This story starts with 5 characters all from the year 2070 where 90% of the human race has been destroyed by the NET, a highly intelligent A.I. system created by the American goverment . The main objective was to create defences for the country. But for some unknown reason, the NET had become self-aware and even worse, launched a direct attack on Humanity. It destroyed most of the human population in the Country.

The only hope for humanity in this region is the American Rebel Army, a military force created with the objective to destroy the NET.

The story starts with the 5 on a mission to destroy an NET HQ.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Date:September 16th 2070(10 years after the NET take over)

Time:14:57

Location:New York,USA near a NET HQ

The 5 of them were in a vehicle getting ready for a mission with a few more soldiers.

Our story starts with a young man in his 20s named Michael Smith, a Combat Medic from the former American States. He had brown hair, white skin and blue eyes. had a pair of revolvers as his weapons. He was packing medical supplies for an assault on an enemy base as his mission together with his team.

"Hey Michael,you got all your stuff ready?"asked Jeff. Another soldier of the Army from Europe. He was tall and sturdy, had black hair, beige skin and dark brown eyes. He carried an Assault Rifle as his weapon for the moment. His full name was Jeffrey Hartmann.

"Hang on,almost ready."replied Michael while he was loading on his kit

"Take your time, we got a quarter of an hour before our attack"

A few meters away from them stood a boy in his teens looking down onto a silver locket with a picture in it. His name was Jack Owens, a young military volunteer who was also from the former American States. He had light brown hair, blue eyes and pale white skin.

"Hey there, you're the rookie right?" asked another member of the team named Randall Schwarz. Many soldiers around the team were staring at him even though he looked like an average soldier. Black hair, pale white skin, black eyes, had an average build and had a sword as a weapon together with a rifle. However, his most notable feature was somehow his aura with some soldiers even claiming him being a ghost. That statement has some truth to it.

Then the squad leader by the name of Captain Vadim Kazakov, he was the main one who stood out of the team. A completely mechanical body made from a variety of different alloys, he towered over everyone else.

"Alright alright,listen up! We have our orders, the main objective is to destroy the NET HQ.

We will enter the HQ head on with the warbirds and tanks giving us some cover. We will then proceed to the power core room of the building and we will plant the high explosives there and after that,we get our asses out. Everybody Ready?"

"Affirmative!"Everyone replied

"Alright,lets get it done. eliminate all hostile machines"

On the way out, the Captain thought to himself "Damn, hopefully it gets fixed soon" What will get fixed? We will see later in this story.

Timeskip 45 minutes later after fighting through the enemy base's defence system, the 5 OCs ended up in the power core room ,however all the other soldier that were with them have been killed but they still proceeded with the mission.

"Hey Jack,all those charges set?"Asked Randall

"All charges have been planted"Jack replied

Vadim then said "Good,now lets get our asses out of here"

Suddenly all doors closed in and trapped them in the room.A hologram appeared infront of them.

"Hey,who the fuck are you?"asked Jeff

The hologram then spoke up "Hello humans,I am a representative of the NET.I see that you humans were successful in your mission,but nevermind that the NET has 1 HQ on each continent of the world, even if this one gets destroyed, a new one will be built"

"Yeah and we are going to continue our war on the NET until all the NET HQs has been destroyed" Micheal replied

"Well too bad you are all going to die in this room" said the hologram

"What? Vadim or Jeff can break out this room anytime" Jack replied

"There is an antimatter bomb in the next room and it will detonate in 30 minutes or if either of you break any wall in this room the bomb will detonate and obliterate any matter within its blast radius" it replied and then disappeared. An Antimatter Bomb, one of the most powerful weapon of its time. It had the power to destroy significantly more life and structure with its much larger blast radius compared to most of the thermonuclear weapons.

"Well shit,we're so fucked" said Jeff

Vadim quickly called the commanding officer,

"Spider,there will be an antimatter explosion from the HQ 29 minutes later,tell all other teams to fall back and our objective has been completed"

"I see,well what about the 5 of you?"Replied Spider

"We are stuck in a room and we can't get out just leave us behind we have completed our objective and we don't mind dying for the sake of mankind" Vadim answered. The others agreed with his statement.

"Alright then,you guys did a hell of job there and it won't be for nothing, the Rebel Army will never stop fighting" said Spider

"So I guess this is goodbye then"said Randall

They said their final goodbyes to Spider and then the connection was cut off.

They were all just talking to each other and living their final moments for the next 20 minutes. Suddenly,Michael found what appears to be a weird device.

"Hey guys,look at this"Micheal said

"What is it?" Randall asked

"I think it is a teleportation device"replied Michaell

"What? That's impossible, our enemy hasn't advanced this far yet"

"Guess we were underestimated our enemy"

"Should we use it?"asked Jeff

"Well we're gonna die anyway so why the hell not?"Vadim said

They all agreed and tried to use the device and bright red sparks appeared around them before they all vanished just before the antimatter bomb exploded.
