She took deep breaths to calm her nerve as she walked up to Naruto's apartment room, she knocked quickly before she had a chance to second guess herself, her phone buzzed repeatedly probably from Sasuke and Mikoto when she heard the news she rushed out without thinking and ended up coming to Naruto to tell him
"Can I help yo-oh Hinata hey!"her head snapped up towards the door to see Sakura
"U-um m-nevermind"she turned to leave but was stopped
"Hey you can talk to me you know woman to woman"she couldn't look Sakura in the face if she was here then Naruto lied to her about ending their relationship
"Sakura who is it-oh what's up Hinata"Naruto grinned lazily at her but no matter how hard she tried nothing came out she was frozen
"Go back inside Sakura I'll deal with it"the pink haired female smiled before kissing Naruto and disappearing behind the door
"What is it Hinata you look spooked"her lip quivered as she fought tears
"I-I'm pregnant"Naruto's jaw dropped before he laughed a little
"That's what has you so upset?"she nods and Naruto pats her head
"Why'd you come to me though when we slept together I used a condom"she felt all the blond drain from her body
"We didn't even do much since you threw up "she finally looked up at Naruto unable to believe her ears
"Holy shit your eyes are so puffy can you even see!?"she smiles lightly before letting out a breath
"So you lied about.."Naruto seemingly caught on shrugged his shoulders
"Yea I lied about Sakura and I, truth be told I just wanted to go out with you a bit"she frowns
"Babe hurry up!"Naruto winces at Sakura's yell and sheepishly runs the back of his neck
"You heard my girl I have to go"she simply nods
"I'm sorry for wasting your time"she quickly rushes down the corridor as tears run down her face. She sits down on a park bench as her tears finally stop the doctors words come back to her once again
"It would appear your about a month and a half pregnant if you want me to be more specific"
A month in a half...a month and a half! She hits herself in the head hard before dropping her face into her hands, if she thinks about it she's not sure why she's so angry and she does, she always wanted to be a mother but then again begs the question of the babies father, her phone goes off again and she ignores it...it goes off again and she groans almost annoyed and she grabs her phone and looks at the screen
"Look up"
Puzzled at the text she does so and nearly drops her phone in shock
"I-Itachi!?"the said man simply stares at her like he's waiting for something
"O-oh f-forgive me h-here"she moves her bag and he sits beside her, she nervously fidgets when he doesn't say anything the silence seemingly lasts for ages when she can't take it anymore she opens her mouth to speak
"Did you really mean it?"she pauses at his words confused
"What?"Itachi clicks his tongue and abs can't tell if he's annoyed or not
"Did you mean it when you said it was a mistake"he says his question as more of a statement now and she finally gets it them sleeping together she called it a mistake, if she's honest with herself she only said such a thing because she was afraid of falling for him
"...no"Itachi turns his head to look at her shock evident in his eyes she bites her lip trying to pick her next words carefully
"D...are um..."she nervously scratches her arm unsure how what to say
"Do you know who the father is?"she finally looks into Itachi's eyes and is almost swept away with endearing look he's giving her...has he...always looked at her like that
"C...would you be willing to do a paternity test?"Itachi moves a strand of hair out her face and she feels her cheeks get hot
"If that's what you wish"she smiles as he stands up and offers her his hand she takes it feeling almost giddy. She sits in the room the nurse left her in nervously
"I-I'm scared"Itachi seemed deep in thought until he held his hand out towards her, she smiles and holds his hand, a gentle knock is heard before the door opens
"Hello Ms.Hyuga how are you feeling?"she glances over at Itachi before back at the nurse
"R-really nervous"the nurse's smile seemed to grow when she saw their conjoined hands
"Well I see no need for that nervous energy"she looks at the nurse confused at her bright smile
"In other words I'm saying that your boyfriend there is the father of your child"she feels her entire face flush as Itachi seems to be holding back laughter.
"Don't laugh at me"she almost whined as they walked up the sidewalk
"I apologize your face was adorable"she gasps and hits his arm lightly
"You think my face is adorable?"Itachi pauses before coughing and looking away she giggles
"So where exactly are we walking to"Itachi looks almost startled when she grabs his hand
"Well mother was worried sick"she frowns feeling guilty
"Right I'll apologize"Itachi nods as he opens the door for her, Mikoto was pacing back and forth until she notices her
"Oh Hinata dear!!"Mikoto practically runs and tackles her in a bear hug Sasuke rushes over not to long after
"We were so worried about you"she looks down embarrassed
"I-I'm so sorry I panicked"Mikoto nods knowingly as she leads her to a seat
"Learning your pregnant is quite the news, I'm just glad Itachi found you"she simply nods unsure if she should say
"W...we went to the doctor"Mikoto's face fills with worry
"I know who the father is"Mikoto's worry splits into excitement
"That's fantastic dear who?"her blood runs cold and she looks over at Itachi for help
"Oh if you don't want to say that that's alright"she lets out a breath she purposely held
"Hinata dear how about sometime this week I come over and we can make cupcakes and then you can tell me"she smiles nodding its almost like a traditional event at this point Mikoto comes over and they bake sweets and she confide in her.
The week went by smoothly and today wouldn't have been any different but she remembered earlier in the week Mikoto called saying she couldn't make it and if she had to listen to Sasuke go change his outfit one more time she'd scream
"I don't know maybe this one"Sasuke comes out in a different suit, Noodles yawns seemingly as fed up as she was
"No your right I'll go try a different one"she groans
"Okay what about this?"she looks up to see Sasuke in a red suit, a black shirt and a gray tie
"Woof!"Noodles runs over to Sasuke just to run around him in a circle
"Looks like you have your answer"she smiles Sasuke chuckles before looking down at his watch
"Oh shit I'm gonna be late, don't fuck up anything while I'm gone or vomit on my shit"she rolls her eyes closing the door behind him, she plops back down on the sofa
"Maybe I'll just bake alone"a sudden knock at the door makes her jump
"The postman shouldn't be here today"she swings open the door and she can know say the universe hates her there on the other side is Itachi
"I apologize for showing up unannounced, mother wanted me to watch you while Sasuke was gone"she feels her face heat up as she lets him in and god she hates to admit it but he smells fantastic...fucking pregnancy sensitivity. Noodles enthusiastically tries to jump on Itachi and to get him to play and something comes over her before she can stop it
"Hey Itachi I was going to bake some cupcakes and I was wondering if you wanted to help?" she silently prays to every god out there he agrees
"I would love to assist you"she internally cheers but on the outside keeps her cool
"Great! Let's get started"
Okay that's it for this chapter I tried to clear things up to limit confusion as best as I could
