She smiles fondly watching Itachi mix the cupcake batter she puts a hand on the slight bulge of her stomach as she watches him, for some unspoken reason she feels nervous and embarrassed a question eggs at her mind to ask him but she holds it in
"Hinata are you alright?"Itachi had stopped mixing and had his full attention on her she blinks confused at the question
"You we're holding your stomach with a furrowed brow, do you feel ill?"she's sure her cheeks are slightly pink, a gorgeous man who'd be there for her if she called...did she just call Itachi gorgeous? It must be the pregnancy talking...wait do hormones act up in the 1st trimester, she shakes her head to stop the thoughts
"Y-yes I'm fine...I was just watching what you were doing"she feels as though she saved that effortlessly Itachi lets it slide and goes back to his task. She carefully sits the cake pans full of batter into the oven
"Alright now the frosting"she announces, turning to get the supplies but Itachi stops her
"How about a break?"she pouts knowing it's because of the baby she goes to say she's fine
"Sure, what did you have in mind?"she blinks confused those words came out
"Nothing serious, just go sit I'll bring you something to drink"she does as Itachi said with a smile slowly forming on her face, being pampered feels nice although the morning sickness not so much. After the break they go back to work on the frosting when Itachi wasn't looking she scooped a small amount of icing on her finger and smears it against his cheek Itachi snaps his head to look her direction and she feigns innocence stirring the icing
"Hinata you have something on your face"she gasps and feels at her face
"I do where??"she doesn't have time to think as icing is smeared across her cheek and the tip of her nose
"Wha-you?"Itachi turns his head away and his shoulders shake she gasps and lightly hits his shoulder
"Don't laugh! Get it off!"Itachi turns back to face her looking as though he'll burst out laughing any second, she feels her heartbeat spike when Itachi takes her face in his hands and wipes off some of the icing with his finger before eating it
"I-is it good?"Itachi raises an eyebrow at her as she mentally facepalms herself
"T-t-the icing?"it may be her imagination but she swears Itachi has leaned closer to her face
"Ah that yes"her can already tell her face is bright red as she stares into Itachi's eyes
"D-!"the loud beep of the oven alarm going off interrupts before she can finish her sentence and she rushes to take the cakes out the oven sitting them on the cooking rack. As the two waited for the cakes to cool they sit in the living room watching a movie after they cleaned off, she takes a glance over at Itachi to see him fully asleep on the sofa she nearly awed at how precious he look she grabbed her phone and took a picture before sending it to Sasuke and quietly going into the kitchen to ice up the cake. She finished the final touches to the cake before stepping back with a frown something was missing a hand comes from behind her dropping a strawberry on top she turns around
"I-Itachi you scared me"with their faces so close she can feel his breathe on her face and before she even realizes it she's talking
"W..w-would y-you like to go out with me?!"she says it quickly before shutting her eyes knowing he'll reject her a soft chuckle makes her slowly crack one eye open
"I would love to go out with you Hinata"her jaw nearly drops in shock before excitement takes over and she nearly tackles Itachi in a embrace smiling up at him her heart warming when he softly smiles back at her
Alright guys that's it for this chapter I tried to make it really cute and fluffy to show their growing feeling for each other coming out
