Ah finally I'm posting this chapter *is mentally tired after squeezing out ideas for this fight*
Disclaimer: I do not own.. wait do i really need to this every chapter?
Warning: I put some bloody battles in here because I enjoyed way more than i should while writing it.
So here's the fruit of my craziness. I tried making it as similar as the canon battles as possible so let's get started XD
A bit recap:
Blaze made a round across the stadium and bounced its armour up, pushing it against the wall. Using the small amount of rubber that was placed at the armour's six corners, the bey used it as a spring to bounce, rather launch itself at lightning speed towards Dragoon. The high speed was greater than Dragoon's reflexes, however Tyson was successful in calling forth his bit beast before the hit landed. Yet, the attack did land it's hit, injuring the bit beast as well as his master."A move of that much speed and caliber, if I hadn't call out Dragoon, my bey would been tossed out in the blink of an eye. I really was underestimating your potential. So then, now I'm really mad."Continued:
"It's been over 6 minutes and the colossal clash of two overpowered bladers continue with neither showing any sign of weakness or speed loss. This two are the perfect match, this match may turn out even more awesome than the tournament's finals."
"AJ we have yet to enter the climax," Both bladers stood their ground with them and their beasts staring at their opponent, trying anticipate the other's move. But of course, the blunette champion was not someone known for having patience, hence, he charged forward. "Obliterate her partner, so we can celebrate our victory together." As to Tyson's response the cobalt-silver dragon growled, as the bey charged head on.
"Not a fan of strategies are you?" As both simultaneously mobilized their beys once again, Tyson's silver bey began circling the wall of the stadium repeatedly. The rotations allowed the bey to move up to edge of the walls, almost to the point of going out of it. But, as an experienced blader, it was not a big deal for him to instantaneously change trajectories with a ninety degree turn. With the momentum Tyson gained it was a matter of nanoseconds in which he connected with Stephanie's blade with his special attack, not giving a chance to his opponent.
'So incredibly fast!' , the blunette gasped at the lightning speed.
"Dragon gale claw." The strike was over as calmly as he said that. The effect of the attack though, came about a second later. Without the armour as a extra defense field, the attack damaged three of the six rubber pieces along with the chassis of the bey. After all this, this was the first time Blazien's stamina started to show signs of depletion as both the beast and it's wielder gasped in pain. Fresh crimson blood dripped from the blunette's right side of the abdomen as she resonated with her beast's pain.
"Tyson was absolutely ruthless!" The hosts screeched in thrill and awe. "He proved why he is our defending champion!"
"No hard feelings, eh Steph?" A slight look of concern appeared on his face as he saw the blunette clenching her wound.
"None at all. Just that you're gonna pay with blood of your own." The Russian-American said regaining her posture, sort of ignoring her wound. Tyson couldn't help but grin in satisfaction of getting to battle such a fiesty blader.
"My turn. Don't you dare blink! Come on my cute, little Blaze, make him pay for hurting ya!" She said adding dread to the last part.
"As if." This time Stephanie used the same tactic that Tyson used to gain her lost momentum. "My technique against me? Just what are you plotting in that head of yours?"
"Oh it's just plain old tricks." The brunette evilly smirked tilting her head slightly to the right. After Blazien took about 6 turns round the wall edge, using it's revive driver it roughly moved backed in a half spiral, the intense friction letting out a small smoke. The blade used the incline of the stadium to charge towards its own armour piece which Tyson had neglected and bounced of in the air.
"Show them your exquisite wings my phoenix!" As the blade flew so did the beast, for the first time in the battle Blazien fully opened its gigantic wings, outsizing Dragoon. The wings were made of molten lava, their colour darker than usual fire. They were lined with dark armour pieces with flame mandala designs carved like strands of orange fire as if they were were an engraved script. The splendid wings spread as the temperature rised with a dark aura spreading through the American arena. The audience were left speechless seeing a legendary bit beast in its true form for the first time, the blunette however did nothing but smile. "You call that thing little? Dragoon, don't let that phoenix show off on you. Charge ahead."
"Same for you Blaze, show him why you are a legendary bitbeast." As Blaze descended from the air maintaing a sixty degree fall stance, it head on hit Dragoon at its left attack blade. Even that clashing position both gambled, activating their special moves. "Use Celestic Hurricane partner, hang on tight!"
"Vortex Eruption Blaze!" Both attacks unleashed were based on spirals, so when the wind tornado combined with the lava vortex, the fire and wind mix caused a loud explosion with a high vibration shattering the glass of the arena. The audience were thrilled as well as terrified as both bladers breathed heavily. The smokescreen from the explosion took a few moments to clear, but when it did both blades had already stopped spinning.
"This is quite turn of events though, but due to explosion we couldn't determine which blade stopped first. So now we need to conduct a replay to determine the winner." Both bladers as well as their teammates held their breaths in anticipation as the AJ played the last part of the match on the big screen.
As the explosion from the attacks neutralized, both the beys got tossed away to the opposite sides of the stadium and collided with the wall simultaneously, rendering both to stop at the exact same time and drop inside the stadium.
"Neither loses or wins! It's a big tie fellas!" Stephanie and Tyson looked at each other with stern looks.
"This time rules are different than previous tournaments, a pair of blader battle on until a winner is decided so we shall continue!" Both hosts announced enthusiastically but got cut off by Stephanie. "I'd love to but take a look." As she held out her bey, the damaged caused by Tyson's attack was prominently seen. "Lools like I'm in the same bind too." Tyson scratched his head with a wide smile enlightening his face.
"What do we do Chairman Dickenson?" The hosts looked up to the bald headed man.
"Since both bladers are unable to continue due to damage to their beys we will allow a forty five minute intermission for the mechanics of both teams to fix them before resuming again. Is that enough?"
"Yes Mr. D." Both opponents responded together and walked back to the green rooms with their respective teams.
The hallways had as much personality as the rest of the stadium. The floor was slate grey and the walls dove. The ceiling was made from polystyrene squares laid on a grid-like frame. There were commercial prints on the wall, elaboratly pasted for the teams and matches. Every door there was had a large plastic sign, dark with white lettering- no fancy fonts, saying it's purpose. Most were out of bounds without permission. The green rooms built exclusively for each team were large and spacious, made for comfort. The brunette who had just returned from the washroom washing her wounds and face leaned against the wall by the door heaving a sigh, "Damn Tyson sure does not make my win easy." Seeing a familiar figure approaching she straightened her posture.
"Unexpected meeting you here, Kai."
"The Blitzkriegs have the next match up."
"I see that's why you are roaming in the waiting room area. So say," The brunette grinned at the amethyst orbed blader somewhat proudly, "How was my match against Tyson?"
The blunette smirked. If he was honest, the one most impressed was none other than him. But he was last person to be able to say that out loud. "The Blitzkriegs are keeping an eye on you." As she watched him walk away saying that with a smile on her face, Michael's voice called out for her from the PPBs waiting room."Steph what the hell are you doing in the corridor, you wanna patch up that wound or let it bleed?"
"Oopsie forgot." Indeed she forgot for about the wound for a moment. But it only got her scolded by her brother. "Seriously sis? You forgot about a fresh bleeding wound? Are you even conscious or what?"
"Sorry Max. What about my Blazien Emily?" She questioned with concern as she took a seat on the couch.
"Got pretty damaged but you are gonna go attack mode right?"
"My balanced stamina mode." Next thing she knew she was glared at by every member of her team, as if she said she was going to bomb an area.
"No armour at all? You're crazy?" Rick scrowled.
"I'm not. I'm going stamina. This is gonna be a match of endurance. Make sure u make it as good as new Em."
"When do you ever listen anyway? No worries about the repairs though."
"Tyson I was so scared!" Kenny freaked out, while shaking Tyson violently by his shoulders. "I thought we were gonna loose." He still had retained his habit of freaking out.
Tyson freed himself from Kenny's clutches, "Eh hehe.. I thought so for an instance." Daichi was pouting on the other hand continued chanting a "It should have been me", with his hands crossed by the chest but only to geot retorted back at by Hillary.
"Says the one who lost our first round."
"What did ya say Hillary?"
"Facts." While those two went on with their usual banter, Tyson and Kenny sat down to analyze Dragoon's damages.
"Sheesh Tyson how the heck did you damage Dragoon so bad. I have to totally replace 2 blades and repair half the chassis." Tyson knew it already, Dragoon was way too damaged, but it had to be fixed somehow, otherwise he was certainly gonna loose. Hence he pleaded, "Chief make it as durable as you can, Tyson's gonna need that. This match's probably gonna be longer."
"Now then, with their beys patched up, we shall begin the tie breaker. Folks buckle up cuz we're in for another overpowered match."
"Bladers, positions!" Tyson and Stephanie both took a deep breath, getting into their launch positions. "3; 2; 1; Let it ripp!" The beys were launched accurately yet again and circled the stadium.
"No armour Steph?" Tyson was in his usual goofy state.
The brunette smiled back. "My instincts say just defense or attack won't be enough. A perfect balance, to beat your raw power."
"Now then, shall we begin?"
She nodded. "I've been waiting practically all my life for a match like this." It was a serious match but both were amused. A dread aura emitted from the beys engulfed the arena as both got serious. To their master's wish, the bitbeasts isolated their minds from the rest of the arena, as if a 4th dimension.
As both bladers conversed, their thoughts and emotions replicated and channelised into their blades. This time none played tricks, there was no strategy, both beys just elegantly clashed head on generating shock waves. With a sacred beast and a legendary bitbeast clashing against each other the stadium succumbed to a pin drop silence in awe of the brilliant beauty of the bitbeasts. Without even realizing, both bladers had created a domain of their own. As the two bladers stared down at each other, the aura of their beys changed; a calming blue aura surrounded Dragoon while Blazien had a englighting yet dark one.
Now both, oblivious to their surroundings fought an endless and ruthless match till one was down for good. They synced their movements with their bitbeasts turning this into a physical fight. The first attack was aided by Tyson who threw a rounded high kick straight towards Stephanie's neck without mercy. The brunette stepped back, balancing her weight on her left foot, and threw her right fist out in a curved punch at his temple. Turning ninety degrees to the side, Tyson brought his right forearm up to counter the blow, formed a fist with his left, and threw it at her outstretched jaw. She barely manged to avoid the punch as the halved impact made blood ooze out of her pink lips, staining them red. How much of a tactical advantage she had over him didn't matter now as it all came down to fists. She had trained herself in the art of martial arts, specifically Karate, but when it came to fights like these, with all the kendo lessons Tyson's grandpa had beaten into him, the latter was a league above her own. While Tyson mentally thanked his grandfather, the brunette cursed herself. Without giving her anytime to think further, the blunette swung a punch for her face, she ducked under the second swing and snapped herself into the tiger mindset, the offensive style among the five styles of Karate, that of the predator who sits atop of the food chain.
'No holding back, use all the skills you've learned.' Stephanie mentally shaped herself. Taking deep breath she concentrated trying to attack first before Tyson could.
She formed her hands as if she was gripping imaginary tennis balls and launched herself at him. She dug her fingers into the bicep of the swinging arm and ripped at the muscle, while striking the forearm on the same side, straight in with the heel of her palm, the paw of the tiger. She motivatedherselfwith every move she threw, 'Attack the arm that attacks you Steph. Focus. You don't need to match his strength, use your techniques, observe and believe in yourself and your Blaze.' Tyson who had stepped back, smirked proudly. "You are good. But Steph you don't have the fighting experience I have."
Next thing she knew was Tyson took the advantage decisively. He ripped into her face with the middle and forefingers of his right hand, raking along her nose and mouth. As much as that attack surprised and injured her, she did counter it with her fast reflexes, with her left hand, she struck his neck and dug her fingers in, grabbing the windpipe while using her other hand as a defense against any move the male blader pulled. She pushed rather than pulled, momentarily closing the windpipe against itself, carefully trying to cut off his air for a second. But Tyson was no rookie, instead of trying to free himself he threw a knee kick right to her gut with made her cough out blood, but still managing to hold her grip. The second she tried to tighten her grip more to immobilize him, he threw a uppercut right at her jawline, causing her to let him free and step back. At this point, both were loosing their breath and were heavily injured.
The audience gasped at the direction the fight was going, while the teams of both competitors were worried to the bone.
'Sis.. Hang on.' Max mentally chanted. He had promised her he would not interfere in her matches no matter what. He wanted her to win against Tyson's full strength, but with the injuries she was sustaining and her bey taking so much damage, he clenched his fists.
Next, things sped up.
Utilizing her advantage in speed and reflexes, Stephanie had timed herself at six strikes per second, and if anything, at that moment to Tyson, it
felt even faster. She landed a double palm heel blow to his left ears, ripping downward along the cheek and collapsing onto his throat; Tyson without flinching, shoot an elbow upward into her abdomen. Both fought with their prides on line, there were no wind ups, no wasted motion; each movement was designed to roll naturally into the next.
Taking step back, the bladers took a moment to catch their breaths. They had taken major injuries and were nearly on the verge of collapse and so were their bitbeasts who replicated their movements the whole time. It was more than a beyblade match, fighting in a whole new domain of their own invisible to the normal audience.
It was now a matter of all stamina and endurance.
"This reminds me of my match with Kai." Tyson reminisced while wiping the blood off his mouth.
"That so? You consider me on par with Kai? That's a nice compliment. Though exhausted, the Russian American blader's eyes sparkled hearing the statement.
"Of course I do. I always considered you a strong blader." Tyson gave her a comforting smile. "Shall we end this here?"
"Yea, the time of judgment of power." Stephanie looked up and closed her eyes peacefully, using her left index finger she commanded Blaze forward then she for the last attack. "Go on Blazien, use that." The bitbeast growled, her voice echoing the stadium. "Dance of Purgatory Flames." Her voice deepened, "Incinerate everything that stands in your way. Your ultimate attack which took me 4 years to master!"
Tyson grinned amusingly, "Interesting. Dragoon your strongest move too, Colossal Tempest!"
Dark crimson flames covered Blaze spreading through the stadium and even beyond, engulfing both its wielder and opponent. A double edged sword it was. The malice and pride the phoenix beast possessed took physical form, probably not something one would consider pleasant. Every darkness has malice in it, be it even if a negligible amount. So did the beast; and when it poured out, the arena got swallowed by darkness, like a moonless night. The only light were the incinerating flames which had destroyed the battle stadium. Indeed a dance, a dance of darkness; out of control and bounds, bringing destruction. For the first time Tyson felt the urge to run out of an ongoing battle. 'Purgatory' as the name said indeed, both hellfire and freezing cold. Still, he tried hold his ground.
Colossal Tempest was not a ordinary attack, an attack and defense at the same time, rare for a raw power bey. Wind it was obviously, Dragoon's element, but speed and precision is what made it a s-rank attack. Each blow was sharper than a katana, more precise than a bee's sting. When it was combined with a capable speed of 700 mph, an attack power able to slice anything in its way was formulated. But both refused to give up, they were one of most stubborn bladers after all. Clenching their fists, gritting their teeth they dug their feet into the ground. It was a matter of endurance, of willpower, of pain tolerance limit.
But power always has limits, so did theirs, as both attacks gradually lost their influence the stadium aura started returning to normal. The beasts, heavily damaged, had no choice but to fade away into their bitchips. The players were still standing, it was hard to tell if they were even conscious at this point. As the beys started wobbling, Stephanie blinked her tired eyes, heaving a sigh. She had put too much at stake, and not just her, Tyson too, and now it was the time of judgment. She took a glance at the audience seats, a pair of amethysts were staring at her, with awe, admiration and proudness. She could already feel the tears her brother had shed seeing her condition and her teammates' concerned looks, making her smile softly. Tyson was on his knees, though he was more conscious than she was, breathing heavily yet managing to have a very happy face somehow. He was delighted for the fact that he played such a battle, but his fiancée was not so happy though. She was scared, tensed, both hands joined. She prayed for his safety holding her tears. It was more than a game, more than a play. It was their life. But everything had an end, and so did the match. The wobbling beys stopped as they should, Tyson and Stephanie lost their senses simultaneously, but there was a winner, by a mere second, a frustrating truth for the other team as they PPB All Starz couldn't help but rejoice. Ah, it was their win, Stephanie's win. The undefeated champion was finally defeated.
"There you have it folks, the winner of this match and the first one to defeat our reigning champion is Stephanie Towa of the PPB All Starz!" The crowd which had watched in awe, went crazy over the result. They were surprised and happy and sad at the same time. The fact that their champion would be defeated, by not Kai Hiwatari, but Stephanie was hard to digest by many. Many people were disappointed, as they had rooted for the now fallen champion but still the opinion that it was a legendary match and that the Russian American was not just some ordinary blader, was agreed upon by all. The teams though did not have the luxury to enjoy or grieve as their players lay injured on the ground. As the paramedics arrived, both were declared too serious to be treated there.
Well how is it? In case you're worrying, nope I wasn't planning to kill them. Went a bit too far though. Now I don't know how I will write a even better final match. But it was Tyson, it should be a bit op at least, so yea.Do review and tell me.~Sohana _
