The rays of sunlight hit them both at the same time. It caused them to grunt in response. Arnold was the first to open his eyes. He blinked and looked at his surroundings until his emerald green eyes spotted a hand on top of his own.

"H-Helga?!" he exclaimed as soon as he saw her.

"Another minute mom..." she mumbled and then shot up quickly at the sound of his voice. Fear, anxiety, worry and panic were what she felt at this exact moment. Helga looked down to see that her hand was on top of his.

Arnold raised a brow at her reaction. She blushed watching him stare in confusion and immediately withdrew her hand away. He shrugged and stood up off of the concrete ground. Dusting himself off, he asked-

"What time is it?"

Normally, Helga would've made a sarcastic remark but the sunrise appearing in her vision was her biggest concern. She stood up and dusted herself off too with a frown.

"I don't know but long did we stay out here football-head? Not only that, why aren't you at home getting ready for school too! And- Oh NO MY DAD'S gonna kill me if he sees you here!"

Arnold squinted at the city clock from afar.

"Uh-oh. My alarm clock was set to 6:40 this morning and it's 6:20! If I don't get home, my grandparents are gonna kill me!"

Helga chewed on her fingernails, thinking of a plan. She pulled out some money from her pocket and slapped it in his palm.

"Here's some money for a quick bus ride home! Now hurry up before it's too late!"

"Thanks Helga! I'll see you at school!" Arnold said while winking and running to catch the bus.

"Yeah, Yeah Whatever..." she mumbled behind him. When he was finally out of view, she swooned to herself.

"I hope you make it home on time my sweet prince."

Suddenly, the door opened and her father came out with a garbage bag in hand.

"Hey, what are you doing outside Olga? Aren't you supposed to be in your room getting ready for school?"

Helga chuckled and ran up the stairs past him.

"I was just getting some fresh air. Now I'm getting dressed bye!"

Bob sighed in response and put the trash in the bin outside. "I'm not even gonna ask..."

Meanwhile with Arnold...He was anxious on the bus ride home and also excited for some reason...It almost felt like some crazy adventure to him. Soon the bus pulled in front of the boarding house and Arnold exited. He snuck around behind and climbed up his fire escape into his room. The lights had been off and he tiptoed to flip on the lightswitch."Why Hello!" someone said from behind him. It had been his grandpa, making Arnold jump out of his skin in surprise.

"G-Grandpa! Hi!"

"Care to explain your absence from your room this morning? Your Grandma and I were worried sick. So were the other boarders, although I'm not sure about Kokaschka because he's a selfish little pest."

Arnold sighed and looked him in the eye.

"I was with Helga remember. Apparently we were hanging out and fell asleep while talking."

His grandpa raised a brow and folded his arms sternly.

"Now Arnold...you didn't do anything wrong while you were with her if you know what I mean."

Arnold blinked then blushed crimson red at the idea.

"GRANDPA! THAT'S DISGUSTING EW!!!! WHY WOULD YOU THINK-HOW COULD YOU BELIEVE SUCH A RIDICULOUS THING? I'm too young for pete sakes!"

"Okay good. Now get ready for school. You're lucky I'm not going to punish you this time. But next time, you won't be getting off the hook that easy."

Arnold gulped. "Yes sir."

He shut the door and Arnold went in the bathroom to get ready.

At School...

Rhonda had a group of people surrounding her and laughing at a photo she was showing. Helga walked into the school with a normal scowl across her face. She shoved a random kid out of the way.

"Out of my way moron!"

Arnold walked into the school with Gerald and stopped when he saw a few kids snickering at him. Initially, he thought it wasn't such a big deal. Harold appeared from the crowd and walked over to him.

"Hey Harold, do you have any idea what is going on? All morning people have been acting strange."

"Oh come on Arnold, you know what this is about." He replied laughing.

"I swear I have no clue. You know that I'm not lying."

"You mean you don't remember sleeping with Helga G. Pataki last night? HAHAHAHA."

Arnold blushed and clenched his fists. "WHAT THE F-"

Meanwhile with Helga and Phoebe.

People were also giving Helga trouble and she didn't have a clue why. Rhonda finally approached both of them with her group behind.

"Why good morning Helga! How are you feeling?"

"Just peachy Rhonda. Now what rumor did you spread about me this time?"

"Don't act all innocent Pataki, we know you slept with Arnold last night." She showed her the picture on her camera.

Helga screamed and launched for her, but Phoebe restrained the blonde haired girl. Rhonda chuckled and walked away along with the other girls.

"Phoebe, let go of me!"

"No! I won't let you get in a fight! I'll let you go if you promise to not go after her!"

"Well what am I supposed to do?!"

"We'll think of something, but fighting is not the answer!"

Helga sighed and Phoebe let go of her. That's when she realized who else was involved with the crazy rumor and ran to the bathroom to puke. My life...really...bites. She thought and came out of the bathroom. Her eyes scanned the hallway and landed on a football headed boy banging his head into the locker.

How am I ever going to face him? Helga sunk her head down and walked across the hallway to her own locker, unfortunately caught in his eyes. Suddenly he found himself marching over to her in fury.

"Helga we need to talk." Arnold stated flatly.

"Can it wait until after class football-head? I can't afford to be late again or else my dad will take away my TV privileges."

"Fine and not to be offensive, but he cares whether or not your late to-"

"I know right? I'm surprised myself because he is always working and rarely acknowledges my presence. Anyways come on before we're late."

Arnold nodded and walked in sync behind her.

I'm suprised that she's taking all of this in calmly. She hasn't raised her voice yet. I just wonder who started this dumb rumor.

Finally they both made it to Mr. Simmons class and walked inside. Everyone in the class started saying Ooooo, making them both roll their eyes.

"Now now class, let's not get distracted, we have a lot to learn today."

Arnold and Helga both sat down at their seats and waited anxiously for the time to pass. Someone leaned over and tapped on Arnold's shoulder, making him flench a little. It was Helga's obnoxious ex boyfriend Danny.

He sighed, "What do you want Daniel?"

"Hey, it's Danny you little runt. Now listen here...I know you slept with my girl just so you could help her make me jealous. Well it's not going to work-"

"One, she's not YOUR girl anymore. Two, nobody was trying to make you jealous and I didn't do anything with her so be quiet before you'll regret calling me a little runt you little punk."

"Why you-"

"Okay class! Let's get to work on our History lesson. No more talking." Mr. Simmons looked over to Danny and Arnold. They glared at each other and started to do their work.

'I'd like to send him flying to a galaxy far far away.' Arnold thought while frowning.

Soon class was over and Helga rushed out as well as Arnold.

"Helga, I needed to talk to you remember?"

"Oh right, let's go over to the library and have lunch. It'll be easier to avoid most students there."

Arnold nodded and they both grabbed their lunches and made their way over to the library.
