It was a hot day and Jin decided it was the perfect time for Ji Yeon to try ice cream for the first time.
They went to the park where he bought two ice cream cones, one was chocolate, the other was vanilla.
He sat in the grass with Ji Yeon and offered her the vanilla cone. She took the come in her tiny hands and went face first into the ice cream making Jin laugh.
"Let's try that again.'' Jin told her holding the cone out to her once more after showing her how to eat it.
Ji Yeon leaned forward and took a small tentative bite of the ice cream. She smiled as she leaned back and savored the taste. She was about to go in for another bite when Cleo decided that she wanted ice cream too.
Just as Ji Yeon was about to take another bite Cleo came over and sat next to Ji Yeon.
Ji Yeon noticed Cleo and offered her the ice cream come. Cleo licked it a few times until Ji Yeon moved it away and was about to eat some more.
She screamed as Jin took the cone away and gave it to Cleo.
"You can't share ice cream woth Cleo. We can share this one.'' Jin told her sitting her in lap and holding out the chocolate ice cream to her. She smiled as she enjoyed her ice cream with her daddy.
After their ice cream they went home where Jin had another surprise waiting for Ji Yeon.
He took her out to the backyard where a pink kiddie pool sat. He filled it with water and sat Ji Yeon in it.
She was fascinated by the water toys that Jin wound up for her and giggled as they swam past her.
She began to cry when Cleo came over and began drinking out of the pool. She thought her daddy would take it away like he did the ice cream.
Jin mistaking her cries for wanting out took her inside to get dried off.
Ji Yeon was a little upset. She was having fun in the water. She didn't understand why Cleo kept ruining her fun.
She calmed down when Jin sat on the floor with her and brought out some colorful new blocks for her to play with. These weren't like any blocks she had ever seen before. They were flat and shaped like triangles and squares and they stuck together like magic. She was a little disappointed that they were harder to knock down, but enjoyed putting them together and pulling them apart.
She soon grew tired and rested against her daddy's side while he layed on the floor nearly asleep himself.
Ji Yeon yawned and closed her eyes still holding the two triangle shaped blocks that she had been sticking together and pulling apart. It had been fun day filled with new things.
