Louie lay on his bed, trying to get to sleep. It was 2:00 in the morning, and he still couldn't get to sleep, especially after the events of the past day. The moonvasion was intense and he nearly died. They nearly died in the hands of Lunarious. If it wasn't for Penumbra, or Penny as Della called it, then they wouldn't have saved the world and themselves.

It was terrible to think about. A lot has happened in the past month, though, making this invasion harder to bear than what it really was. The hardest part, believe it or not, was getting his mom back and adjusting to having a mom. He was definitely devastated when she grounded him. Sure it ended up being the thing that saved his family, but still, he was grounded from an amazing adventure.

His schemes were definitely his downfall. He loved doing them but he couldn't do it because it ended up hurting people he loved. That is what got him grounded in the first place after all. It also got himself killed with the Bombie. Alisson almost got killed as well, also Launchpad, and the headless horseman. However, it did help him learn humility.

Things were confusing, and not in the way he was used to. He was used to being confused in strategy plans while on adventures, pulling schemes out of his mind, helping friends, and saving the world. Never did he expect to feel this… weird after some adventure. Sure, he was used to having things thrown at him, but why this. He wondered how his brothers were handyling this.

Dewey was squirming around, failing to fall asleep as well. He had his mom back, he defeated the Moon people, he helped save his family and the world, and the Moon people were sleeping in the mansion. Maybe that was it? The fact that the moon people were in the mansion. They could just wake up and kill them in their sleep, right, but why would they do that?

Maybe he was just shaken up, but yet it wasn't that kind of feeling. It was somewhat of a hopeless feeling. He still tried to place it on the fact that he was shaken up, but yet, he was 12 years of age. He was eligible for depression, but he couldn't be depressed with such a cool family.

Maybe it was an occasional mood swing that teens have? He didn't know. He opened his eyes to see darkness. As his eyes focused, he looked to the left to see Huey. He was flat on his face snoring. Obviously he was getting good sleep, he was a Senior Junior WoodChuck after all. He looked to the right to see Louie, up and looking at Dewey.

"Couldn't get to sleep either, huh?"

Dewey shook his head. Louie was surprised, usually his brother was intergenic, not silent. He looked at his brother who stared down at his fingers. Louie couldn't tell why he was though. Was it because of the events of the previous day, but he looked sad.

"You ok, man. You look… sadder than usual."

Dewey nodded again and got out of his bed. He looked at his brother. "I'm going to be in the kitchen."

And with that, he left the room. Louie heard the sadness in his voice, but why was he sad? Louie got up and slowly walked to the door. He opened it to see Webby, about to knock on the door. He stared at her questioningly.

"Um… where is Dewey going?"

"I don't know? He just got up and walked out."

"Let's go see what he's doing."

Louie nods and they head off to find Dewey. They came across the kitchen and saw the blue pajamas. They walked in to see Dewey getting peanut quacker and grape break so he could make a sandwich. He sighed and the 2 knew something was wrong.

"You ok, pal?" Asks Webby.

"Huh, oh, um… never better." Dewey responds with a sigh.

"No you're not. What's wrong?" Louie says with sympathy.

Dewey was on the verge of tears. He could feel it. "I don't know, maybe it's nothing, but I just feel… down."

Webby and Louie looked at each other, realizing that he was suffering depression at the moment. Louie walked over to his brother and hugged him. At this point, Dewey was crying.

"Dewey, we have an amazing family. Don't let anything get you down."

Dewey sighed some more and looked down at his sandwich. "Yeah, I guess."

Webby walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. She smiled at him, trying to get something out of him, but she got nothing. She felt bad for him. He was her closest friend after all. She frowned as Dewey broke his brother's hug and went to the table to sit down.

Louie and Webby looked at each other worryingly. If Dewey didn't get back to normal soon, he could be a danger to himself, and a lost for the family would be terrible. Went walked to the table and sat down next to Dewey.

However, before Webby could say anything, Dewey spoke up. "Just leave me alone, ok."

Webby was sad but did as he said. They walked towards their rooms, but Louie looked back at his friend one more time. He didn't know what to do now. His brother was depressed and Louie couldn't help but feel like his very existence was enough to endanger his family.

The 2 were definitely in some trouble. Louie wondered how Huey was handling everything. Same for Della. He did kind of wonder how his family would react to Deweys new state. Louie sighed and turned back to his door. He walked in, got on his bed, and attempted to get some rest for the rest of the night.
