Recap
Last on Tales of Tamers Xilla, the gang deal with aftermath of what happen at Fort Gandala. Milla was injure to the point she couldn't walk anymore, While Takato got word form Argo the she got info on Erika. After saying far well to his friends, Takato head to the town of Legonde to meet her. From there Argo told him that Erika was looking into himself, Jeri the girl he met in Hamil and a boy name Kenta in Legonde. At the same time Jude and Milla show up because Jude dad had a device that could heal Milla. But Jude dad refuse to help, so Takato, Jude, Milla and the aid of Jude childhood Friend Leia decide to do it themselves. They went to the Felgana mine to find a spirit fossil to help Milla recover. Which ended up in a monster fight where Milla was able to get back into action to help her friends defeat the monster. Now our heroes are helping her in her recovery.
Chapter 9
The lord of Lakutam
Takato POV
Three weeks have past since I came to Legonde. Milla been recovering quite nicely. She now able to walk without much trouble. In that time there been no sign of Erika. I didn't have any new dreams of visions either. I talk to Leia brother Kenta a few times. So far he claim we haven't met before. Shame I was hoping hang out with him would lead me to Erika. Right now I was waiting out side the clinic with Jude and Leia. We felt the wind past by us. "The seasonal winds are kicking in time sure flies." Leia said. "That it does." I said as I lean against the fence. "But still I can't believe Milla is being discharge today." Leia said. "I'm surprises how fast she heals." I said as I at my right hand. "Heck should I know, dad and I barley talk." Jude said. "Then don't waste your time with the basture. You should only listen to your self Jude." I said as I pat him on the back. The door to the clinic open as the doc came out. "Milla will be long shortly. " He said.
He then get infront of Jude. "Care to explain this?" He ask as he held out Jude's wanted poster. "What that a wanted poster." Said Leia. "Well fuck me." I curse. "It not like it affect you." Jude said. "What did you do, the poster make it sound like you stole something." Doc said. Stole, could he he mean the thing Milla took. "The thing Milla gave to Ivar?" Jude under his breath. "Speak properly young man." Mathis said. "Forget, so you going to yell at Milla for corrupting me. You haven't been nice to her." Jude said." He been a dick to all of us Jude." I said. Mathis sigh. "Jude Jude, your so native you still don't know what she is." He said as we saw bring out Milla. Milla trip but got up. We try to rush to her but the doctor stop us. "I'm fine, oh I miss the fresh air. How about a walk." She said. "Good idea let stroll to the sea heaven,
We help Milla to reach the sea heaven. Ah the sea breeze it sure is nice today. "What the deal with that wanted poster?" Leia ask. I look to Jude. "It has to do with something with Fenmount, where you guy met Milla?" Leia ask. "She trying to destroy a secret Rashugal military weapon." Jude said. "It uses something call a spirix. She swear she on a mission to save the world from them, even if she won't tell us what they are." I said. "Jude super pal slap me some face!" a voice said as Teepo grab on to Jude face. I burst out laughing. Oh I needed that. "Gah what in the world?" Shout Leia as we watch Jude try to Pull Teepo off his face. That when I saw l saw Elize and Rowen walking toward us. The former running to hug Milla. "Elize what are you doing here?" She ask. "Well we came to see you." Elize said. "We wanted to congratulate you on your recovery." Rowen said. "Bet you didn't expect her to be on her feet?" I ask with a grin.
"Agree." He said. "It all thanks to these three." Milla said. "So how Driselle?" I ask Rowen. "She is fine Takato worry not." He said. We thought it was best to tell then about every thing that happen here. "Will you be sticking around for a while?" Jude ask. "Lady Driselle insisted that I take a vacation." Rowen said. "And miss Elize was persisted to her desire to see Milla." He said. "Don't blame us butler, your the one who been slacking on the job." Teepo said. "Damn burn by the doll." Moeru Ryu said. "That not like you.'' I said. ''It true, this old butler has been distracted of late. Indeed one concern in particular is at the fore front of my mind." He said worry. "I see I wish we have more time to hear the whole story but." Milla said. "But Milla and I are planning on leaving Legonde as soon as possible tomorrow at most. "Jude said. "And I'm thinking on heading home for a bit." I said. "I don't remember telling you that?" Milla ask. "I know you well enough by now." Jude said.
"Oh get a room you two." I said getting a blush out of Jude. "But your still recovering, what could be so important in Fenmount?" Rowen ask. "A weapon call the Lance of Kresnik. As long it exist mankind and spirit kind are doom to extinction." Milla said. "Who build it, the king of Rashugal?" ask Elize. "Appear so." I said. "You cannot reach Fenmount without once again heading for Fort Gandala. "Rowen said. "He right and it didn't go too well last time." I said. "No I fear nothing in this world except I may lose the willpower to complete my mission." Milla said. "Why is this mission so important to you?" Teepo ask. "Because I am Maxwell it is my duty to protect this world." She said. "Maxwell you say." Rowen said. "Yep she the real dal." I said. "The spirit!" Leia said shock to heard this. "But that doesn't matter does it." Jude said. "It not gonna change who we know her as." I said. "Come on everyone no use in standing around talking, let go back inside." Jude said.
"I'll meet you guys here tomorrow later." I said as I walk away from them. Once I was clear I look to Yoruichi. "So you reunite with your friends?" she ask. "Yeah, Were you able to talk with Urahara?' I ask. "I did, he has no luck. This Erika girl is an unknown. We know she isn't a soul reaper." She said. "I'll talk with Urahara when I see him." I said. "So you sticking around?" I ask. "Of course I'll like to see your friend's strength for myself." She said. "Ok then let head in." I said as we head for the inn for the night. The next morning I was waiting by the ticket booth. Yoruichi was on my shoulder. I soon saw the others heading over to us. "About time guys." I said. "Oh who your little friend?" Ask Milla. "This is Yoruichi she an old friend who tends to show up once an awhile." I said. "Aw she so pretty." said Elize as she pet the cat. "So shall we go?" I ask them. "Of course let me get our tickets." Rowen said as he went to the booth.
"Where Leia I wanted to thank her." Said Milla. "This ship is bound for Auj Oule. Is this apart of the plan you mention?" Jude ask. "It is." Rowen said. "So you figure out how to get us to Fenmount?" I ask as he nod. "If you hatch this plan then we know it will work." Milla said. That when we saw Mrs. Mathis. "Your not going to make amends with your father?" She ask Jude. "What the point mom." He said. "Your father is just worry about you honey please understand." She said. I decided to tune out what being said here. It mostly about having Elize stay here until someone form Sharilton come and get her. But knowing that kid it won't be easy. "Like you were when you were a kid." Moeru Ryu said. Oh stud up ya letter opener. That when I see Jude dad coming great. "Jude!" He shout. "Dad i made up my mind I'm going with Milla." Jude said. "Your not going anywhere with that woman. The things she got you in involve with." Mathis said.
"Look at that, I can't get rid of you can't I." A voice said. We turn to see it was Alvin. "Alvin." Jude said surprise. "Yeah I have a feeling you show up." I said. Alvin chuckles. "You know I haven't work off the money I got off you from last time. Guess your stuck with me." He said as he hung his arm over Jude shoulder. "Your coming with us?" Jude ask. "You know this man?" Mathis ask nervously. "Yeah were old traveling buddies." Jude said. "Alvin can you believe these meanies that are abandoning us." Said Teepo as he and Elize grab on to him. "You poor little spud, you can fight just as hell as they can." Alvin said as he pat her on the head. He then look at us. "Come on let bring then with us." He said. "But Alvin." Rowen said. "Don't worry I'll protect her if things get dicey, come on Rowen." Alvin said. "Your stuck with us butler." Teepo said as he latch onto Rowen's face. "Last call for boarding." A sailor call out.
"If we can't get him off guess they'll be coming with us." I said as I look to Elize. "Hop a board kiddo." I said as she ran onto the ship as we soon follow. The ship then set sail. Home here we come. Normal POV: Kenta watch the ship sail away. He let out a sigh of relive. "On boy that was too close. It was good to see Takato again but still." He said. Out of his pocket came a small pink creature with small arms and angel wings. It has blue eyes, long ears and are red heart on it chest. "Was it the right thing to do Ken Ken, lying to him?" It ask. "It was Marineangemon, Erika said Takato need to remember on his own and when it is time." Kenta said. "Say where Le-Le?" Marineangemon ask. "Yeah where is Leia?" Kenta ask as well. Takato POV: After leaving Legonde, we all gather round. "This tub is bound for Lakutam sea heaven. Thought you guys were heading to Fenmount?" ask Alvin.
"Your asking this now." Jude said. "Uncle Alvin like to go with the flow." I said. "I couldn't care less where we end up, I just here to look after little Elize." Alvin said. "And me me me, the whole band back together." Teepo said. "You don't count." I said as he drop. "Rowen please tell us your plan for taking us to Auj Oule?" Ask Milla. "Very well, I believe trying to force ourselves through Fort Gandala would be a suicide mission to put it bluntly." He said. "How come?" I ask. "I saw the fortress security golems being activated as we're escaping." Rowen said. I let out a sigh. "Let me guess they're still on?" I ask. "Indeed." He said. "That not good." Alvin said. "It would take an entire division to defeat those golems and if only they have a clever strategy. "Rowen said. "But the sea routes to Fenmount are still close." Jude said. "Then we'll need to take a land route." I said. "You mean to cross Auj Oule to Fenmount over land." Milla said.
"That quite the hike, what do we do about Fezebel marsh?" Alvin ask. I face palm. 'Shit that right." I said. "That swamp apparently stretch forever north of Fenmount." Alvin said. "It suppose to be the natural equivalent of Fort Gandala in terms of fortifications." Rowen said. "Isn't that marsh suppose to be impassable, something about that spirit clime being too severe?'' Alvin ask. "Most of the time yes, but the interseason winds have blown. Which means Solum is upon us. That means The spirit clime have shifted from Efreeta to Ragnome. Fezebel marsh should be passable for a short time." Rowen said. "I you say so." Elize said. "I'm not sure I understand either." Milla said. "It means were good to go." I said. '' Exactly in any case hustle is the order of the day if seems, we have little time." Rowen said. "Why?" Ask Teepo. "I have learn that Rashugal is readying for open war." Rowen said.
"With Auj Oule." Jude said. Knowing my father he'll be prepare for this. "I must destroy the lance of Kresnik before if can be use in battle." Milla said. That when we heard a sailor cry out. We rush over to see what going on. "what up?" I ask. "There a person in there." He said. We look in the barrel to see a sleeping Leia. I saw Jude have a smirk on his face. "Friend of yours?" Alvin ask. Jude chuckles. "Yep a real of laughs." He said. Guess we got another tag along. It was a few hours we came to later when we came to Lakutam Sea heaven. Leia have woken by the time we reach the port. "I gotten so bore waiting in there, I must have fallen asleep." She said. "Then you be well rested for the return trip home." Jude said. "Return trip hell no! I'm coming with you. Besides That Erika girl said you guys would need me." She said. I blink at that. "Erika did she have blue hair and yellow eyes?" I ask. "She did why?" Leia ask.
"Son of bitch! I just miss her, and chances are she long gone by now!" I shout. "Man tough luck kid." Said Alvin as he pat me on the back. "Leia this isn't a game." Jude said. "Oh come on Jude just let her come the more help the better." I said. "It okay right Milla?" Leia ask the lord of spirits. "Perhaps, do what you want." Milla said. "Your strength inspire me at the mines. I thought to myself, I want to be just right at your side." Leia said. " Very well then I won't stop you." Milla said. "You got to be kidding me." Jude said. "Now that it a official, I'm happy join thanks for asking." Leia said. I grin at Jude. "I feel sorry for you man." I said. "Now let get going." I said. "Right." Jude said as we head for the gate. "Hey aren't we near Nia Kiera?" Alvin ask. Why is he asking about that. "Are we?" Milla ask. "Don't you want to stop by?" Alvin ask. "Why I have no bushiness there, do you?" Milla ask him. "No of course not, I just thought the villagers might be worry. They worship you after all." He said. "I don't think we have a time for a detour." I said.
"Indeed if we follow the Lakutam highroad north, We shall reach the city of Xian Du. We should head there first." Rowen said. "Hold your horses, what about the monster that prowl the pathway. What it call?" Ask Alvin. "The Lord of Lakutam, It large bull like monster." I said. "You know about it?" Ask Leia. "Yep I try to hunt it a few times. But the thing always get away." I said. "Rest assure, the Lord of Lakutam is a slave to the spirit clime just like any monster." Rowen said. "He right it should be very timid now, so we should be safe." I said. "See little buddy no reason to be scare." Teepo said. "Don't expect to be pluck from the monster jaws spud." Alvin said. "Right then let hit the highroad." Jude said as we set out. But before we did I notice a man with an orange bandana on his arm watching us. Strange. I turn to follow the others into the highroad. "Woah the sunset is so pretty." Elize said. "The spirit clime here keep the area in a eternal sunset." Rowen said.
"But I always love them." I said. Suddenly I heard a voice. "I always love the sunset." It the voice of the girl from my visions. Who is she. We soon came to a clearing as we see a messager bird. "Expecting a message Alvin?" Jude said. Milla look confuse. "Alvin use that bird to send messages, I do too." I said. "Sorry folks, I'll be done in a bit." Alvin said as he went to the bird. I sat on a rock to think. During Milla recovery Jude told me that Milla gave Ivar some sort of metal disk. "What you thinking partner?" Ask Moeru Ryu. "My money on it the reason why Rashugal was chasing us." I said to him. "As what if for, I bet it is what they use to activate the lance of Kresnik." I said. But that the least of my worries. I saw everyone coming together. "Let get going we're almost to Xian Du." I said as we continue on our way. "You ok Takato?" Elize ask. "I'm fine." I said. "Are the dreams still troubling you?" Milla ask.
"Dreams?" Leia ask. "There are times where I get these dreams of a different life. But now i'm getting them when I'm awake." I said. "What do you mean?" Rowen ask. "I'm starting to believe there memories of past life. I won't be sure until I find Erika." I said. "Lady Milla there you are." A voice said as Ivar jump down infront of us. How the hell din I not sense him. "It a miracle you can walk." He said. "Ivar what are you doing her?" Jude ask. "Who this guy?" Ask Leia. "Just Milla's handmaid, a real pain in the ass." I said as Ivar glare at me. He then turn to Milla. "Now that your legs are heal, you must return to the village at once please. If something else were to happen to you I don't know what I do." He said. "I cannot return yet, I have business in Fenmount." Milla said. "In that case let me accompany you." Ivar said. "That won't be necessary, I have all the help I need." She said.
"From these people!" He shout as he glare at us. "They can be trusted." Milla said. 'Jude again." He growl. Man he must have a raging hate boner for Jude. "You got issues man." I said. "You must be pretty please with yourself now that Lady Milla can walk again?" He ask Jude. "Well I did promise I'll help her walk again." Jude said. "How dare you take credit for this miracle! It was all due to lady Milla divine power it must have be!" Ivar shout. I roll my eyes at him. "Yo Milla you mind if I knock him so we can go?" I ask getting annoy by him. "As long you don't kill him." She said as she turn her back. "Uh sorry." Jude said. "That right phony beg for forgiveness." Ivar said. I crack my knuckles as I got ready to lay his ass out. "Ivar I gave you an importment mission did I not?" Milla ask. "I have not forgotten about the defense of the village and the item you in trusted to me is safe." He said. "However I got this recently." Ivar said as he hand Milla a letter.
"Maxwell is in grave danger, you must go to her side at once." She read. "I rush forth immediately, I only now caught up with you." He said. "Who could have written something like this?" Jude ask. I glance at Alvin. Could he? "I wonder, but in any case as you can see I'm perfectly fi." Milla stop as we something charging Ivar from behind. It was a large red and grey bull like monster. It then ran over Ivar. "Is that the monster you talk about?" Leia ask as we got ready. "The lord of Lakutam yep and here it comes!" I shout as it charge at us!
Heroes vs The lord of Lakutam
"Dragon shot!" Jude shout as he gave it an uppercut to it side. "Cross cleave!" Alvin shout as he cut it with a pair of slash waves. The lord circle back and when for Leia. "Spiral strike!" She shout as she spun her staff and struck it side. "Teepo copter!" Elize shout as she grab Teepo and flew at it. She was able to hit it in the back. "Death knell!" Shout Milla as light form around her as she stab into it. It look at me as it snort and came at me. "Rowen!" I shout. "I read you Severed fate!" He shout as he threw his knives around it as they form a barrier to trap it. Now to finish it. "Now I got you Hado #3 Shakkaho!" I shout as I launch a red energy ball at the lord face as it explode. The monster cry out as it fell to the ground. And another monster on my hunting list down. I saw Ivar getting up. "You call that timid, I thought you said the monster would be a pussy cat now that that it Solum and Ragnome is here." Alvin said.
"Yeah what gives?" I ask. "That should the case unless." Rowen said as Jude look like he realized something. "With the four great spirits missing the spirit climes stop shifting." He said. "That mean we can't cross Fezebel marsh." I said sourly. "Cross Fezebel marsh hahaha, you people are out of your minds. Only a wyvern could reach Fenmount at this point." Ivar said as he grin. "Fortunately it just happen I the undoubtable handmaid can be assistance to Lady Milla." He said. "You know a way to get there?" Jude ask. " I have in my possession a wyvern faithful only to me. I would be happy to transport Lady Milla to Fenmount." He said smugly. I grin madly. "Well if we need wyverns then I know where to get some." I said. "You do?" Alvin ask. "Yup there a clan in Xian Du that raise wyverns." I said as look at Ivar with a smirk. Eat that bitch. "Is this true Ivar?" Milla ask. He sigh. "Yes what he said is true." he said in defeat.
"Guess that our next stop." Alvin said. "On ward to Xian Du." Said Rowen. "Ivar thank you." Milla said as the handmaid look like he gonna explode. "See ya Ivar, let go everyone Xian Du awaits." I said as we started to move on as we left Ivar alone. "Man Takato you sure know how to wreck someone pride." Moeru Ryu said as he laugh. It a blessing and a curse. But hell it was wroth it to see the look on Ivar face.
