Hello everyone and welcome back to the next chapter of Tales of Tamers Xilla. It been a long time since the last chapter. Sorry for being gone for so long, been busy with some personal to mention my keyboard busted so I'll have to use the on screen keyboard , so the rate of when I post will be slower now. Recap
Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla. Takato and gang deal with the fallout of learning the truth about Elize and Teepo. This cause tension in the group as they we to speak with Yurgen about the wyverns. But Yurgen told them that they need permission from the king to use them. So the gang venture out to the capital of Auj Oule Kalanbar to see the king. While there they needed to wait for Yurgen to get them an audience with the king. Takato left the group to visit his mother grave. He was concern about what he has heard of her involvement in the lab at Labari hollow. Yoruichi assure him his mother was a kind soul. They regroup with everyone to find them fighting. Deciding he has enough of Elize behavior, Takato told her he understand how it feels to lose some one he loves and she should consire Leia feelings for trying to cheer her up. The two make amends as Takato decide the group should go to the castle to confront the king.

Chapter 14
The king of Auj Oule.
Takato Pov: After a bit of an walk, we came to the castle. My home it has been a long time since I seen it. "That quite the line." Jude said as we saw all the people out side the castle. "I guess this king really does listen to his people." Leia said. "The king of Auj Oule is well know for his charisma." Rowen said. "He can be a real asshole too." I said under my breath. "It is said he united this strfe torn country on the strength of his character alone." Rowen said. "A guy like that will help us right?" Leia ask. "Don't get your hope up Leia, we have no idea how this will play out." I said. "He is right charisma only goes so far. If the government is secretly producing children like Elize, then he must answer for it." Milla said. "Than you." Elize said. That when we saw Yurgen. "Sorry we were getting antsy." Jude said. "No this is perfect timing." Yurgen said. "Are we good to go with the wyverns?" Alvin ask.
"Yes I got royal permission and something incredible happened. When I request a royal audience for Milla." Yurgen said. "What is it?" Milla ask. "When I told them your names , they said his highness is looking forward to meeting you. Are you all famous or something?" he ask. "Something like that." I said nervously. "Perhaps word of the tournament has reach his highness, what a great honor. Anyway I need to get back to Xian Du to prepare the wyverns." Yurgen said as he walk away. "Hmm quite the unexpected welcome." Rowen said as he don a thinking pose. "it not a trap is it?" Jude ask. "100 gald say it is." I said. "I have a bad feeling about this." Rowen said. "You do, it beats not going to see him at all." Leia said. Alvin let out a sigh. "Keeping secrets from us again?" Milla ask. He grin. "Of course, I have to maintain my mystique for the ladies." Alvin said. "Whatever Alvin, come on we should go meet the king." I said. As much as I don't want to.
"Kid right, let go meet his highness." Alvin said. "Alvin we really need you to be straight with us." Jude said. "Don't worry I know you put your trust in me." He said. With that done, we headed to the castle gate. Once in side, we follow the path to the throne room. "Hal citizens seeking audience with the king are to wait outside the castle." one of the guards said. I smirk at them. "Reallly now you don't recognize me how shameful." I said as they straighten up. "My prince my apologies." he said as they bow to me. "Wait prince does that means?" ask Jude ask shock. "Yep Takato is the prince of Auj Oule." Alvin said. "what no way, why didn't you tell us?" Leia ask. "You never ask." I said in flat tone. I then turn to the guard. "Now then we were told my father wish an audience with us." I said. " Is one of you lady Milla?" a guard ask. "That me." Milla said. "Very well please proceed." the guard said as we walk up to the throne room. I saw Elize hand Teepo to a guard.
We kept going til we reach the throne. there we see Jiao coming in. "what are you doing here?" Jude ask. "Uncle Jiao is a member of my father guard." I said. "Correct I am Jiao the immovable of the Chimaerid." Jiao said. "The Chimaerid?" Milla ask. "Four warriors in service to the king. To think Jiao was on of them." Rowen said. The door open as two people enter the room. The 1st was a man wearing all black. He has black feather shroud on his left shoulder and on his hip was a sword. His hair was back with one bang dye yellow. He is Wingul the nova of the Chimaerid. The other was a man with darken skin tone. He has long black hair and red eyes. He wore a red and black warrior went to sat on the throne. He is Gaius, my father. "It a great honor to meet you former cheif of staff Rowen Ilbert." Wingul said. "Ah and you must the ebon wing of Auj Oule, Wingul the nova." Rowen said. "You must be the king of Auj Oule?" Milla ask
"My name is Gaius, king of Auj Oule. Welcome Maxwell and to you my son." He said. "You have requested an audience with the king, now please state your business." Wingul said. "Bootsers made in your country have already fall into Rashugal hands. If war were to break out between your nations, the results would be catastrophic for everyone." Jude said. My father just sat there with a stoic expression. "Oh and you came all this way to tell me that in person." Father said. "Yes your highness." Jude said. "We're planning to destroy one of Rashugal weapons, a really big one at that. One that thing gone we know they won't declared war on you . In fact we hope that you would might help us." Leia said. "Father This weapon is too dangerous to ignore." I said. "Is there anything else?" Wingul ask. "Yes there one other matter we like to discuss. It involve the Boosters laboratory in the royal hunting grounds?" Rowen ask. "And how and why mother was involve with it." I said.
"Is it true you once abducted orphans for this facility and then you perform experiment on these children ?" Milla ask. "Well didn't see that one coming. What does any of this have to do with you spirit?" Father ask. "I am Maxwell it is my duty to protect both human and spirits alike." Milla said. "The same goes for me since I'm a soul reaper." I said. "Oh really spirits protecting humans , now that is quite an interesting tale." Father said. "You forsake your duty as king and you toy with the lives of your people." Milla said "How could you!" I shout with disgust. "It not like that my prince." Wingul said. I saw Wingul look to my father who nods. "My prince you were born with a large amount of mana that was dangerous for a child. Being the curious woman your mother was, she created the laboratory to try to help you and other children like you." He said. "Afer her passing , the lab goal was turn to Boosters testing. Where it became my responsibility." He said.
"So she wasn't involved in the Booster testing?" I ask. "Yes, the lab was a safe haven for those children. They would have died without it." he said. "You imagine it to be a mad scientist lab, but I assure you the experiments were entirely humane." he said. "You expect us to take your word for this." Milla said. "He telling truth, I know Wingul for most of my life he would never lie." I said. "But I was." Elize said. Wingul look at Jiao. "This girl was the test subject?" He ask. "Yes she was." Jiao said. "Even in Hamil Elize was force to live in a tiny room. Don't you consire that." Jude said. "Cruel." Father said cutting him off. "Don't waste your breath Jude." I said. "Tell me something boy have you ever considered what it take to achieve happiness?" Father ask. "To achieve happiness?" Jude ask. "Yes to live a satisfying life. How do you think one can achieve that. Do you know Takato?" Father ask. "I'm not sure." I said unsure of myself.
"It take freedom to form your own beliefs." Milla said. "Exactly it take freedom." Jude said. Freedom huh? "Heh well I disagree." Father said as he got up. "When a man loses his way in life, the ground beneath him start to slowly crumbled until there is nothing left." He said. "What do you mean nothing left?" Jude ask. "A man who has cannot find his way becomes trapped. The more he struggles the deeper he sinks into uncertainty. True happiness comes from following a noble path across an entire lifetime without getting lost." Father said. "My country does not produce failures. It is a king duty to show his people the proper path. I must keep them from becoming completely trapped." He said. "He always has a way with words." Moeru Ryu said. That he do. "Now let me tell you in no uncertain terms why I call you here Maxwell. I know you stole the from the laboratory in Rashugal. Now hand it over immediately." Father demand.
"No I won't, the key was not met for humans hands." Milla said. "Wen face with a power that could destroy the world no human can control themselves." She said. "It seem you haven't heard a thing I just said spirit." Father said. "Your whole noble path speech heard it all before." I said. "And don't look at me, I won't tell you a damn thing. I'm not the kind of guy to sell out my friends." I said. "All right then why don't you tell us where the key is?" Wingul ask as Alvin step forward. Son of a bitch. "Alvin what are you doing?" Jude ask. "So that how it is." I said. "sorry guys I'm just doing my job." He said. "Alvin who did Maxwell entrusted the key to?" Wingul ask. "The handmaid Ivar, he probably sulking back in Nia Kiera as we speak." Alvin said. But then someone burst in, It was Presa. She saw Alvin. "Al what you doing here?" She ask. "Hey Presa long time no see." He said greeting her. "Presa what is it?" Wingul ask. "Ignore them give your report." "Father said.
"The Rashugal army has invaded Hamil." She said. What! "I'm afraid the casualties are high, but it could have been worst." Presa said. "How so?" Father ask. "There were a report of a demon and a lion man protecting the villagers. Those not kill were taken to Rashugal. We also found evidence that the power of a great spirit was use upon the village." She said. "A great spirit but no one has successfully summon the 4 great spirits for 2 decades." Father said. "Impossible I would have known if the 4 great spirits had been release." Milla said. "Could it be the lance of Kresnik?" I ask. "Is it possible that Nachigal made a new key?" She ask. "if that the case then were declaring war, send word to all the clans. I'm going to crush anyone who dare to harm my people!" Father shout as he left the room. "well then we will no longer have a need of you." Wingul said as the guards surrounded us.
"But if his highness were to have the spirit Maxwell as his captive even the unruly clans would be force to bend there knees." He said. "Miss Elize." Rowen said. "Teepo now!" She shout as Teepo attack the guard. That gave us an opening. "Well don't just stand there come on run." Teepo said. We use this to quickly ran out of the palace and into the courtyard. "So Alvin really was a big fat liar." Elize said sadly. "He has his reasons." I said. "Stuid traitor let me at him!" Shout Teepo. "Why would he betray us like that?" Leia ask. "I'm afraid even I can't read his mind." Milla said. "How could he do this to us!" Jude shout. That when we heard the gate close. "Shit!" I curse. "It won't open." Jude said. "It we can reactivate the 5 control stones we maybe able to open the gate." Rowen said. "Pour your mana into to them." I said as we quickly ran to a stone and pour our mana into them. Leia look like she was having trouble with hers. I place my hand next to hers as the stone turn red. "Thank me later Leia let go." I said as we ran to the slide cars and rode back to town.
We made our way to the town exit. But when we got there Presa was waiting for was. "Nobody leave me behind at a party." She said. "Hey Aunt Presa your not still mad about what happen at the sea falls are you?" I ask worry. "No my prince, only annoy. But it is time for you to be punished." She said. Yep she piss. "Presa wasn't? If you been Gaius henchwoman all along, then you been after us ever since we escape from Fenmount." Milla said. "Al sold you out to his highness back in Nia Kiera. The prince was to watch you as well, but it look like got attached to you." Presa said. "So Alvin was on your side the whole time." Jude said. Presa huff. "Hardy that man no ally. I'll leave our relationship to your imagination. All I say is this, Al drift from one group to the next like a ship without a to plot his course is impossible, serve you right for trusting him. You shold have known this by now Takato." She said
"It obvious that the lance of Kresnik is the greatest threat. If war were to break out." Wingul said from a doorway. "Surety Maxwell know that." He said. "Your territory squabbles are no interest to me. My only concern is to keep that thing out of human hands and preventing a miserable end to us all." Milla said. Wingul pull out his sword while Presa pull out her spell book. "So high and mighty, it time somebody broke that arrogance of yours." He said. We got ready for them. "Enough you didn't become veteran of countless battles through meaningless bloodshed." Rowen said. "Has your youth gotten the better of you." He said. "Don't lecture me on age Ilbert. You ways are old for they make you falter and the you flee!" Wingul shout as he was cover by a golden light. When it clear he has change. His hair has spike up and turn white. "What just happen?" Leia ask. "Careful he has Booster." I said. "Why?" Elize ask. "Elize watch your tongue , you should know to respect your elders." Wingul said in Long Dao. "I planed on capturing you Maxwell, but it be easier to kill you" He said as he came at us.
Heroes vs Wingul and Presa
"Sun spark!" Jude shout as he shot a light sphere at Wingul. The ebon wing cut through it with his sword. He then ran at Jude. I quickly block Wingul. "Bolt strike!" Milla shout as she shot a lightning arte at him. Wingul push me back and block the arte with his blade. A water blast then hit Milla. I look over to Presa. She was channeling another arte. "Teepo quake!" Elize shout as she sent a giant Teepo to crush jump back. "Nice try little brat Water current!" She shout as she shot a water sot at Elize. Leia pull her out of the way. That when Wingul charge at Rowen with a lightning charge blade. "Freeze lancer!" Rowen shout as he sent icicles at him. Wingul shatters them as he got close. I flash step in front of him. "Rising fang!" I shout as I swung upward to force him back. "Their strong." Jude said. "I know Jude let link." Leia said. "Right." He said as they ran at Presa. "Scylla strike!" They shout as they attack Presa from two sides knocking her down.
Now for Wingul. "Milla together!" I shout. "Of course." she said. Milla swung her arm to create a tornado around Wingul. I then shot a fire ball in it. "Blaze twister!" we shout as the tornado caught fire and blast Wingul out. This fight over. "Give it up it over." I said to them. "What now." Wingul said back to normal. "You still want to play?" Presa ask. Milla move to finish this. "Wait." Jude said stopping her. "Don't try to stop me." She said. "No look." He said as we saw more guards. "Time to make tracks guys." I said. "I suppose our time is up." Milla said. "Running away again Ilbert?" Wingul ask. "Ignore him we got to go." I said as we left the city. Damn not the trip home I was expecting. No matter next stop Xian Du.

Rowen: After our encounter in Kalanbar our merry band return to Xian Du. From there begin our journey to Fenmount. But a last we have an unexpected delay along the way. Next time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: Chapter 15: The reaper oath. Until next time my friends.
