Recap
Last time on Tales of Tamer Xilla, The gang have reunited with Alvin. But they were unsure of where he stands and decide to wait until he decide to reveal his intentions. They then rode the wyverns to reach the city of Fenmount. When they arrive they discover there was trouble at the La Forte lab. They found the guard Eldin who told them he found an Auj Oule spy. The spy set off a bomb to escape. They enter the lab to find and destroy the lance of Kresnik. But they ran into a problem when they discover the door to the lance's chambers was seal off. Milla grew frustrated by this development when Jude suggest they use a computer to find out what happen. They enter a room to find the mayor of Hamil. She told them her villagers were frozen solid as she died and dissolve just like Haus did. They then check the computers to learn that the lance was move before the explosion. The spy who was the girl that attack them last time Agria might know where the lance was taken.
They decide to search the city for Agria but have no luck. But them they ran into Takato's info broker Argo the rat who Rowen reveal to be Amelia Raggos of one of the 6 ruling houses of Rashugal. She told the gang that she saw Agria at the hotel. When they confront Agria she was un reasonable, left with no other choice they defeated the mad woman in battle. She then told the gang that the lance was taken to Orda palace. With their goal set our heroes head to the palace to confront the mad king Nachtigal once and for all.

Chapter 17
The fall of a king
Takato POV: After our encounter with Agria, we quickly rush to Orda palace to do two things. 1st take down Nachtigal and 2nd to destroy the lance of Kresnik. We saw there was a pair of guards in our way. "Huh I figure security would be tighter than this?" Leia ask. She right. I thought the palace would be the hardest place to break into right now? I got a bad feeling about this. "Don't suppose we couldn't just charge in side?" Jude ask. "That wouldn't be prudent, this is their stronghold." Milla said. "And after our fight with Agria, I bet they'll know we're coming." I said. "Rowen what the matter?" Elize as we all look at Rowen. "I was weighing our options, I think Jude might have the right idea here." He said. "Woah hey now are you serious about this? For once Takato and Milla are telling you to be cautious and not charge in." Alvin said. "Do you have a plan?" Milla ask. "More of an hunch actually shall we test it." Rower said. "If it good enough for Rowen then count me in." Jude said.
"Same." I said. We soon charge at the gate. The guards ran at us to try to stop us. "Out of the way chumps Hado #31 Shakkaho!" I shout as I blast them away from us. "Any reinforcements?" Jude ask. "Look clear." Leia said. "It strange, why are there only a few guards?" I ask. "But this is the king's house, shouldn't there be more soldiers?" ask Elize. "It could be a trap." Alvin said. "No doubt Rashugal army has already been deploy for war with Auj Oule." Rowen said. "But wouldn't they tighten security around the royal palace during wartime?" Jude ask. "Except for the natural and man made barriers that protect Fenmount from the north and the south. It has a few defense in case of a the enemy armies breach the walls the city are as good as fallen." Rowen said. Or Nachtigal is that sure of himself, that he can't fall. We'll see about that soon enough. "Troops are waste here during wartime, so the majority of them are deploy to fortify the natural defenses and fort Gandala." Rowen Said.
"That make sense, but in also means war is imminent. We can waste this opportunity." Milla said. "I know so let get going." I said as we enter the palace. When we did, we saw a glowing seal on the ground. "This is a lotus ring, a device that ferries people throughout Odra palace. We must use it to proceed further." Rowen said. "Will it take us straight to Nachtigal?" I ask. "No this one will only take us to the second floor." He said as we step onto the ring. There was a flash of light. As it clear we found ourselves on the 2nd floor. There we saw a glowing door. Suddenly a green scorpion monster came out of it. It them charge at us. "Wind lance!" Milla shout as she use a wind blade to cut it down. "What was that?" Leia ask. " My guess some sort of Security system design to take down any intruders that get close. I bet there are more of them." I said. "Let keep moving." Milla said as we rush forward. We soon came to the entrance of the 3rd floor.
There was another glowing door in our way that sent out a horse like monster. "I got this Demon fist!" Jude shout as he sent an energy fist to blast it a apart. "Let go we only have one more floor to go." I said as we made our way in further. Leia look around as we walk. "I can't believe we get to see Orda palace, it a dream come true." She said. "You do know breaking in to kill their king right." I said as she blink. "He right welcome to Rashugal most wanted." Alvin said as he grin and came to the last floor. One more glowing door to get through. Coming out of the door was a group of butterflies like monsters. "Le-leave it to me Negative gate!" Elize shout as she form a black channeling circle under them. Soon shadow like hand came up to grab the monsters and drag then into the void. "Oh my." Rowen said surprise. "I didn't expect that." I said. "It always the quiet ones." Moeru Ryu said. "So are we ready for this?" Jude ask us. We all nod as we enter the throne room. There sitting in the throne was the man that was behind all the trouble we been through Nachtigal. We saw that Giland was here too.
Nachtigal got up from his throne. "So you arrive Maxwell and looking much better from then I expected you after your injury." He said. "All to stop you." Milla said. "Go wait by the lance." He said to Giland. "We'll obliterate those northern savages as soon as I finish with Maxwell." He said. Great now I hate him even more. "As you wish." Giland said as he left the room. Nachtigal then look at Rowen. "Ilbert will you really raise your sword against your king?" He ask. "My only master was lord Cline there is no other." Rowen said firmly. 'I'm willing to forgive such insolence if you return to my side." Nachtigal said. "Once I thought you had the potential to be a great king. But now I see you become unworthy of the throne." Rowen said. "No one in this world is more worthy to sit upon this throne than I." Nachtigal said. "You still don't get it do you? You lack the qualities needed to govern humanity." Milla said.
"Foolish girl, a king only need one quality birthright. He is born into his power." He said. "So he can sacrifice his own people?" I ask piss. "Of course, that is my birthright. Now I extend it over the spirit realm as well." Nachtigal. "You will control no one, no man and no spirit either." Jude said. "Foolish boy have Maxwell impudence rub off on you as well?" Nachtigal ask. "You can call me what ever you want. Do you have ant idea how much your actions have torment Rowen here, any idea at all!" Jude shout. "You people think peace is some sort of right. Peace is a luxury not a right! Surrender your self into my service that is your duty as my subjects." Nachtigal said. "You are beyond saving!" I shout. "I'm through wasting my time with you. Let put an end to this right now!" Nachtigal shout as he pull out a large spear. Suddenly purple energy pour into him. "I now share all the mana absorbed by the lance of Kresnik." He said.
'Once I believe that you and I were two friends who travel the same path in life. However now it seem we reach our journey end." Rowen said. "With philosophy like that life must be convenient. But your belief have become a royal pain to us all. Their nothing but a delusion of grandeur." Alvin said. "I can't believe someone like this is our king. Someone need to knock some sense into you!" Shout Leia. "Jude, Milla, Takato and everyone, I need to protect my friends!" Elize shout bravely. "Off with his head!" Teepo shout. "Someone need to put an end to your ambitions and that would be us." Jude said. "You kill so many good people for your worthless quest for power. For that you get to see the worth side of me!" I shout. "Hollow I'm taking your power!" "Hahaha about damn time, it all yours. Go and rip him apart!" my hollow said. I held my hand to my face as red energy cover it. When it clears, a white mask cover my face. It was shape like a dragon skull with 3 spikes on the sides of the jaws. there were two red slash marks on the cheeks.
"Now face my wraith!" I shout. "Prepare you self Nachtigal." Milla said. "Now I will show you the power that will unite Rieze Maxia!" Nachtigal shout as he came at us.
Heroes vs Nachtigal
"Searing arc!" Nachtigal shout as sent a flame slash at us. "Raging blast!" Jude shout as he fire a blast to block Nachtigal attack. "Divine streak!" Milla shout as she slash at him with an light infuse blade. Nachtigal block her and then kick her in the chest to knock her away. "Dark radiance!" Shout Alvin as he jump and dive at the mad king. "Massacre arc!" Nachtigal shout as he slash at Alvin with an darkness infuse blade. Leia rush him form behind. "Crescent flash!" She shout as she struck Nachtigal with a water cover staff strike. "Air pressure!" Nachtigal shout as he shot an air blast to blow here into the wall. "Dread wings!" Elize shout as dark energy gather above her as it turn into several swords. They turn and flew at Nachtigal. Nachtigal quick lt parry off each of the blades. "Glacial core!" Rowen shout as he shot a ball of spike ice at his former friend as it explodes pushing the king back. "Is that all Ilbert." Nachtigal said.
"Then try me basture. Burn them away Moeru Ryu!" I shout as I unleash my Shikai. "Moeru talho!" I shout as I thrust my sword forward and sent a fire blast at him. Nachtigal use his spear to block me. "He really strong." Leia said. "He the king for a good reason, so any one got a plan?" Ask Alvin. "I can stop him, but I need time." Rowen said. "Leave if to me." I said as I rush at Nachtigal. "Dragon fangs!" I shout as I gave him a barrage of flame coated strikes. Nachtigal use his spear to block and parry me off. "Byakurai!" I shout as I blast him in the chest with a lighting blast at close range. That force him back to where we want him. "Rowen now!" I call out. Rowen quickly stab his sword into the ground. "It time for this show to come to a close." He said as a water pillar explode under Nachtigal throwing him into to air. It soon froze with the king in side it. "Grand finale!" Rowen shout as he threw a knife at the ice pillar as it shatters.
Nachtigal fall to the ground. He groan as he slowly pull him self up. "You have lost Nachtigal." Rowen said. "You fools if you kill me, then you will unwitting handing Rashugal over to Gaius." Nachtigal said as he climb into his throne. "Regardless as king you must answer for your crimes." Rowen said. "None sense, with the lance of Kresnik I will have absolute power." Nachtigal said. "No your done for." I said as I walk to him. I point my sword at his neck. "Man kind shouldn't wield that much power, it will destroy us." I said. "Takato wait!" Elize shout. "You I remember you. You said you'll kill me for that fool Cline." Nachtigal said. "Takato think about this please." Moeru Ryu said. "Oh stud your trap scale face! Come King your prey is right there kill him!" Hollow shout. My hand start to shake as I raise my sword. I then turn it around and slam the end of the handle into my mask to shatter it. "No killing you won't bring Cline back It would only bring me to your level." I said I walk back to the others.
I look at Rowen. "He your friend, I trust your judgement." I said. "Thank you." He said as he walk to Nachtigal. "Nachtigal a country without it king if doom to chaos. You have turn away from the responsibility you must bare. We both have turn away King Nachtigal." Rowen said. "Ilbert your not saying that I should." Nachtigal said surprise. "Let us build a new future together." Rowen said. "You mean you would bare the burden of my crimes as well?" Nachtigal ask. "Of course my friend." Rowen said with a smile. "Rowen." Nachtigal said as he reach for Rowen. But then I felt a chill as a barrage of Ice spears impale Nachtigal. We all gasp in shock. "Nachtigal!" Rowen shout. "The hell I didn't sense any one!" I shout. "Who there!" Jude shout. "Who ever did this must be after the lance." Milla said. Giland Argo said he the leader of Exodus. Chances are he tying up loose ends I look at Rowen concern. "Don't worry about me, we must hurry." He said. "R-right let go." I said. Damn how did this happen. I look at Nachtigal one last time. I'm sorry Rowen I couldn't svae your friend.

Milla: With Nachtigal death we continue toward the lance of Kresnik. Unfortunately we seem to run into another problem. But this matter not, noting will stop me from my mission. Next time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: Chapter 18: The battle of Fezebel marsh part 1. May the spirits guide your way.
