Hello and welcome back to the next chapter of Tales of Tamers Xilla. I been making some great progress getting this story posted lately. I hope I can get some more followers for it. Any way it time for part 1 of Fezebel marsh. The next few chapters are gonna be intense folk just waring you now. Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon, Tales if Xilla, Bleach, and Sword art online. Recap

Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla, our heroes have defeated Agria. Thanks to her they learn that the lance of Kresnik was taken to Orda palace. The broke into the palace to search for the lance. From there they reach the throne to confront Nachtigal. The mad king went to a speech about he only need power and birthright to rule Rashugal. This anger the gang as they vow to defeat Nachtigal here and now. Takato most of all when he form his inner hollow mask on his face. The battle was intense and brutal, but in the end the gang have defeated Nachtigal. Then came the moment of truth when Takato held his blade to Nachtigal neck. Takato was ready to cut him down, until he shatters his mask. He told Nachtigal he won't sink to his level. Takato then let Rowen speak to his old friend. Rowen offer Nachtigal he will stand with the king to share the burden of his crimes. But before Nachtigal could respond he was kill by an ice arte from an unseen killer. The gang think the killer is after the lance causing them to rush to the weapon hoping there not too late.

Chapter 18

The battle of Fezebel marsh part 1

Takato POV: After Nachtigal death we use the lotus ring behind the throne to warp into a hallway. As we ran down it I thought about what happen. Giland have to be the one to kill Nachtigal. He was the only other person in the palace. But why. "Most likely Giland no longer had a need for him." Moeru Ryu said. "Maybe." I said. We soon came to a large empty room. The lance was not here. "Were too late." Milla said. "It gone." Elize said. "By that spot in the center I say it was warp away via lotus ring. Giland must have it." I said. "Are you even sure it was even here?" Leia ask. "Nachtigal absorb the energy before we fought. It has to be here." Jude said. "It like I said Giland has it. He took after he kill Nachtigal." I said. "What make you say that?" Alvin ask me. "He was the only other person in the palace during the fight. How he did it I'm still trying to figure out. For now we need to find him." I said. "If the lance may it way outside, It could be any where by now." Rowen said.

"True let go find Argo I bet she might have an idea on where we can start." I said. "Leaving so soon Takato? I thought you wanted to speak to me." A voice said. We turn around to see Erika leaning against a pillar. "Erika." I said. "Ah it her!" Leia said. "So you are the infamous Erika." Milla said. "Indeed I am, it nice to meet you lord of spirits." Erika said as she bow to her. "Finally after weeks of searching your gonna tell me what I wanna know. She look at me with an bored expression. "Oh and what is that?" She ask in a lazy tone. "Why are these Digimon creatures keep attacking us? Who are these 7 they serve? Why do they call me the tamer of the hazard? And most of all who is the red hair girl that I keep seeing?" I ask. "Girl?" Jude ask. 'The last few visions I had involve a girl with red hair." I said as I look at Erika. "Please tell me who she is. Every time I see her it feel like my heart is being rip out." I said. Erika smile. "So you are finally remembering her, that good your almost there." She said.

"What does that mean? Just who am I!" I shout at her. "To know who you are, you need to remember who you used to be. You need to remember the person you were meant to be. You must recall the name you went by in your past life." She said. "And how is he suppose to do that?" Milla ask. "He know where he need to go. The place where he will awaken his true self as if was foretold." Erika said. "Fezebel marsh." I said. "That right, now I have other matters I must attend to. Good bye for now." She said as she walk behind a pillar. We look to see she was gone. "How did she?" Alvin ask. "There no time, we need to find the lance." I said as we made our way out of the palace. Once outside a pair of guards stop us. "Halt identify yourselves." One said. "Uh oh this isn't good." Alvin said. One of the guards look at Rowen. "Hey hold on. aren't you chief Ilbert?" He ask. "That is correct." Rowen said. "I have a message let me through." A 3rd guard said as he came running to us.

"What is it?" The 1st ask. "We got word that Auj Oule army is heading for us!" 3rd shout. We all let out a gasp. "The war it started." Jude said worry. "Oh son of a bitch!" I shout. Dammit Father why? "50000 from Sapstrath?" The 2nd ask. 3rd shook his head. "No they're coming from the north of Fenmount. They're in Fezebel marsh." He said. "Impossible, how do they intend to march across such impassible terrain?" Rowen ask. "That right the spirit climes have stop shifting." I said. "Chief Ilbert we are unable to decipher their method of transportation." 3rd said. "This is bad isn't it? All of our soldiers are concentrated at Fort Gandala and the sea heaven." Jude said. "At this point we may not be able to move our troops into position." Rowen said. "You need not worry, deputy chief of staff Giland foresaw this attack. He is transporting our new weapon into battle." 3rd said. "I knew it." Milla said. "Their gonna use the lance." I said. "Soldier who order you to carry out this message?" Rowen ask. "The deputy chief of staff." He said.

"You are dismiss." Rowen said as the guards walk away. "Giland is up to something." Milla said. "What ever it is we must get to Fezebel marsh ay once." Rowen said. "Then let hurry." I said as we quickly ran out of town. To get to Fezebel marsh, we must cross the Arkland quag swamp lands. The grossest place in Rieze Maxia. As we walk I thought about everything we know about Giland. Thanks to Argo I know he a member of Exodus, most likely the leader. They use spyrix to fight and the lance is one giant spyrix. But what about the mess in Xian Du. Why did they want that data they took from Teepo? What does any of this have to do with the war if their goal is to kill Milla. There more to this then we know, or that Milla is telling us. Let see we know the lance absorb mana. Question is what does Giland need all that mana for? Only one way to find out. We came to the marsh. From there we enter the Rashugal army base camp.

We were stop by some guards. "Identify your selves, state your names rank and division." He said. "I am Rowen Ilbert chief of staff Rashugal army." Rowen said. "Ilbert the conductor?' A guard ask. "Correct, I wish to be brief at once regarding our troops strength and deployment." Rowen said. "Yes sir." He said they move aside. We head into the command tent speaking to the captain. In front of us was a war table. "This table create a tactical diagram of the battle by reading signals from the soldiers ilium orbs." Rowen said. "Smart." I said. On the table every soldier look like chess pieces, expect for one. 'Hey how come this one different?" Leia ask. "That division is taking part in a special operation being lead by deputy chief of staff Giland. Agria of the chimaerid attempted to block them. But it appear they broke through." The captain said. "Giland operation?" Milla ask. "Yes maem, he should arrive at the operation sit a little after 1300 hours." He said.

"Let me guess you have no details on how it will go expect that it might turn the tide in your favor?" I ask. "Yes sir." He said. "We been order to concentrate as many troops as possible around the site when it start." He said. "With his route, his destination must be here correct." Rowen said as an arrow path appear. "Ok we know where he'll be." I said. "I don't like where this is heading." Rowen said. "Yes no doubt he plan to use the lance, yet he keep his army in the dark." Milla said. "Do you think we an catch them before they use the lance?" Elize ask. "We won't know til we try." I said. "I stole the key require to activate, I entrusted it to Ivar." Milla said. I blink. Really that dumbass. "We figure that would be enough to stop anyone from using it." Jude said. "Never the less it has been deploy and they are likely readying it for use. That only means one thing." Rowen said. "That they build a new key right." I said as Milla nod.

"How is Auj Oule army moving across the marsh?" Rowen ask. "I don't believe Ragnome ever arrive." He said. "Are you familiar with the Boosters that Auj Oule developed?" The captain ask. We stare at Teepo. Who hid behind Elize. "The enemy is using them to amplify their mana out put and alter the spirit clime around them." He said. "So there using them to force the spirit clime into Ragnome huh clever. I bet Wingul came up with the idea." I said. "So how did Rashugal responded?" Jude ask. "We too have Boosters." The captain said. "So you issue one to every soldier and assign one man in every squad with the job altering the spirit clime." Rowen said. "Ok Rowen should take it since he master earth artes." I said. "We have no time to waste, we must intercept Giland division." He said. "Ok we'll wait till your ready." I said as we went outside. As we wait I sat on a crate. "Are you still thinking about what Erika said Takato?" Moeru Ryu ask.

"I am, to find out who I am I need to remember who I was in my past life. But how I can only recall random events." I said to him. "We'll find the answer when we enter the marsh. Head up Maxwell coming." he said as I saw Milla walking to me. "You need something Milla?" I ask. "Yes, I have a question for you. It about the mask you don when we fought Nachtigal. When you put it on your mana became very dark." She said. I sigh. "I had the feeling you be the only one who would notice it." I said. "Do you remember what I told you about hollows?" I ask. "I do that they are dark spirits that feed on lesser spirit." Milla said. "That right, but there more to it. There are soul reapers who gain the powers of the hollows, the mask are proof of that." I said. "And your one of them?" Milla ask. "Yes were call Visoreds. We underwent process call hollowcation, not by choice by the way." I said sadly. " You were force." She said. "Yes I have an inner hollow from the hollowcation. I have to defeat if so it wouldn't took control of me and go on a rampage."

I said. "Can we keep this between us. I don't want the others to know, it something I'm not proud off." I said. "Your secret safe with me. Come the others look to be ready." She said as we rejoin the others. "We go to Rowen?" I ask. "Yes let be off" He said as we jump of a ledge and enter the marsh. So were finally here. "Everyone stay close to me." Rowen said as he use the Booster. An earth seal appear under us then vanish. "It hard to see anything, the enemy could be anywhere." Jude said. "We should find a safer route." He said. "No we don't have time were going straight through." I said. "Hold on that suicide!" Teepo shout. "Don't be afraid, we have nothing to fear but failure. The fate of humanity and spirit kind hang in the balance." Milla said. "Let move." I said. "Let destroy the lance of Kresnik." Milla said as we ran into the battlefield. We saw a group of Auj Oule soldiers in our way. "Soaring vortex!" Jude shout as sent wind blast to force them out of the way.

We ran through the marsh until a Rashugal soldier came at us. "Watch out!" I shout as I block him. "What are you doing?" Ask Jude. "Save it, deputy chief of staff Giland gave us new orders, Conductor Ilbert have defected to the enemy and must be stopped." He said as I then punch him in the face. More soldiers then ran at us. "Rock trine!" Milla shout as rock spikes shot up and thrown them back. "Great Giland knows we're coming, so now we got both sides gunning for us." I said. "That won't stop us we must hurry before they use the lance of Kresnik." Milla said. "Let hope were not too late." I said as we went further into the marsh. Normal POV: Giland was standing on a hilltop over viewing the battle. He was wearing a blue coat and black pants. His hair was comb back to show the white marks on the left side of his face. "Father." A voice said as he look to see Ryo with his helmet off.

"Ah Ryo you have my thanks for completing your mission in Xian Du. Thanks to you recovering the Booster data, We were able to create our 1st Spyrite." He said as he took out a device. "I heard the test on Hamil was a success. It make me glad, that me our home will be saved." Ryo said. "Yes it will, of course we must deal with Maxwell." Giland said. "Then were in luck, one of the men just spotted Maxell and her friends have enter the battlefield. Your hunch of having an attack order on Ilbert work." Ryo said with a chuckle. "Yes every thing is going according to plan." Giland said. "Then let hope you keep your end of our deal." A voice said. They look to see a large shadow figure. "No worry my friend you will get your prey." Giland said as he walk away. "Ryo ready the men for when the lance activates, I must contact the others." He said as he left. "Will do." Ryo said as he got out of sight. Once he was clear he pull out a blue device. "Are we doing the right thing Ryo?" A voice ask from it. "We are Monodramon, we need to keep up the act until Takato get his head together. If Erika right it should be soon." Ro said. "Let hope so, I hate doing this." Monodramon said. "Me too buddy, come on we got work to do." He said as he went to ready the members of Exodus.

Alvin: Well things sure got crazy as we ran through the marsh during a war between the two nations, we look for That basture Giland and the lance. But fate is against us as we went into a another problem. Next time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: Chapter 19: The battle of Fezebel marsh part 2. Hope we don't lose our heads.
