Hello and welcome back to the next chapter of Tales of Tamers Xilla. Today we will be continuing the Exodus arc. Only two remain until we can move on to the story final arc. This one is going to be hard to write because everyone who play Xilla know what will happen next in the I like to debitage this chapter to my family cat of 10 years Maka, who die recently, may she find peace in the next life. Recap

Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla, after a night of rest the gang got together to storm Kalanbar in effort to retake the city back from Exodus. They use the path behind Xiaolin temple to enter the city via the roof tops while Gaius group took the main road to cause a diversion. Once in side they move above the city until they came to the castle and got the wyverns to fly to the Exodus ship dock above the city. After a hard fight and the annoyance of Ivar, they were able to take control of the ship. They return to Kalanbar to prepare to invade the Exodus home base the ss Zenethra. During so Takato question if it was possible to open the Schism so he could go to Elympios to find Rika. But Milla refuse and told Takato she must protect the Schism no matter what. They soon got word that the ship was ready and went to begin the final battle with Exodus.

Chapter 23

The end of Exodus

Takato POV: Once we got on the air ship, we saw armies from Auj Oule and Rashugal were here. "What are soldiers from Rashugal doing here?" Leia ask. "I summon them here, although fewer came that I hoped." Rowen said. "Well at least some came, we need all the help we can get" I said. "Ah look Ivar here." Jude said. "That fool he abandoned his duty to Nia Kiera." Milla said as she shook her head in disapproval. "Look like my father is about to start." I said as he step forward. 'Once we turn our swords upon each other and fought for control of Rieze Maxia. Today we come together not as enemies but as allies. We have already located the enemy head quarters a ship known as the Zenethra. Fear not the battle to come brothers. United we will not falter. Together we shall reclaim our world!" Father shout as everyone cheers. "Launch the ship." Wingul order as we felt the ship rise into the air. Well here we go folks. "Sir we have detected a high energy channeling circle surrounding all of Rieze Maxia." a guard said.

A purple aura form over everyone as we felt our mana getting suck out. Damnit not again. Everyone struggles to to hold their ground. "What happening it like my mana being suck out." Leia said. "I know this feeling." Milla said. "They're using the lance of Kresnik absorb the entire world mana.' Jude said. "The spirit fuel plan." Wingul said. "I won't let them hurt our people, I will protect Rieze Maxia. Get us air borne now!" Father shout. As soon we were high enough in the air the draining stops. "It would seem the channeling circle has no effect at this attitude." Rowen said. "At least we won't have to worry about losing mana now." I said. "Are you ok?" Leia ask Elize. "I got an awful headache." Elize said. "We got some time, I'm gonna to relax." I said as I went to the front of the ship. I sat down and place Moeru Ryu on my lap. I close my eyes and quickly open them again to find my self no longer on the ship. i was in a volcanic wasteland with a large volcano in front of me.

this is my inner world of my mind. Behind was a man with long crimson red hair tie was tie in two braids. He wore sliver armor on his chest, arms, and legs. He has gold eyes with spilt pupils, along with a pair of horns on the back of his head and a long red dragon tail. This is Moeru Ryu true form. "It has been some time since you came here in person." He said. "Yeah it haven't change a bit, is Hollow behaving?" I ask. "Yes for now, he where always is." He said. His look turn serious. "Your still thinking on trying to get to Elympios." He said. I sigh. "I am, I need to find away to get the Tamers together to face the demon lords." I said. "And to find your lover, Takato I understand she mean a lot to you but you must stay on mission." Moeru Ryu said. "I know that Ryu, it just I feel like it my fault she died in our first life. I need to find Rika and tell her I'm sorry." I said sadly. "Do not dwell on the past my friend, I'm sure she dot blame you for what happen." He said as he look to his right. "Wake up someone trying to talk to you." He said. I left my inner world to see Impmon in front of me.

"Man goggles some place to take a nap.' He said as he grin. 'Oh piss off." I said as I got up. I saw Jude talking to Agria and Presa. "What going on?" I ask Impmon. 'We found Exodus hide out time to kick some ass." He said. "So it time." I said as we rejoin the others. "Bad news they said a whole fleet of flying battles ships are gathering around the Zenethra." Alvin said. The ship shakes as a beam of light shot pass. "Takatomon!" Guilmon shout. "They fire the lance again, they must have sent the mana back to Elympios." I said. "It must have made another hole in the Schism." Milla said. "Your right at least no ships are coming through this time." Presa said. "Then Takato guess was right." Yoruichi said. "Look like the fuel plan theory was right." Jude said. "It seem the only time I'm right is when I'm talking about a worst case scenario." He said as me and Agria saw something. "Lookie here." She said as we saw a battle ship heading right for us.

"Well shit just what we needed right Now." I said. "Leave it to me." Impmon said. " What can you do?" Presa ask. He grin at her. "This." He said as he glows.

Impmon mega digivolve to Beelzebumon blast mode

Beelzebumon was different from before. He now has black feather wings on his back while his eyes turn green. His right arm was cover by a large cannon. He shot into the sky. "Corona blaster!" He shout as he shot a purple energy ball at the ship engine as it went down. But more were coming as soldiers start to float down. "Gaius." Milla said. "Helmsman maintain course and ram into the Zenethra!" Father order as a shot hit the bridge. "Al right if you say so, just don't try to blame me should we crash and burn." Ivar said over the intercom as the ship touch down in the water ans slam into the Zenethra. Me, Jude and Milla jump onto the Zenethra, once on board we roll out of the way of some bullets of an agent. I ran and cut them down to clear the area. Damn we're really out gun here. "Enough naughty children must learn to play nice!" Muzet shout as she rose into the air. She held her hands up as blue spheres of energy form around the battle ships.

We watch as they were crush to nothing. That look like the arte we saw in Fezebel marsh, so she was the one who cast it back then. There more to Muzet then I thought I need to be careful around her. Muzet soon floated back to us. 'That was amazing." Jude said in awe. "I seem to have regain my power thank to your tethering." Muzet said to Jude. Wait he tether with her! "Damn didn't think he had it in him." Moeru Ryu said in surprise. "I never imagine you would prosses such power." Milla said. "Of course she your big sis." Leia said. "I'm glad your on our side." Elize said. I'm not sure that the case. "I'm happy to lend my power to your cause." Muzet said. "What are you planing to do now?" Milla ask. "The mission would fail if the ship were to fall yes." Muzet said. "Thank you Muzet take care." Jude said. "Be safe. Milla never forget you are Maxwell." Muzet said as she flew off. "Takato I'm gonna help the others hold off the ships." Yoruichi said as she jump into the air and disappear.

"We must hurry while the enemy reinforcements are being blocked." Rowen said. "We should spilt into two groups." Milla suggest. My father look at Jude. "I know do what must be done right?" Jude ask. "We will put a stop to there plan here and now. Our targets are Giland and the lance of Kresnik." Father said as Ivar drop out of no where. "You again, can't you just die already." I said as he glare at me. "Stay out of our way." Teepo said. "Hahaha don't worry I shall join Gaius capable crew." Ivar said. "Think you can fill Jiao shoes in the Chimeiad." Wingul said. "Easily." Ivar said. "Let go." Father said as they went inside. Yeah he gonna get eaten alive by them. "Let us go as well." Milla said as we head into the ship. Once inside we encounter a group of guards. We quickly took them down with out a problem. Leia pick up a device. "What is this?" She ask. "It call a radio, a handy gizmo. You use it to commutated far distances." Alvin said. "We have this in my old world too, we can use this to stay a head off these morons." I said as we went into the ship interior.

Once we did, we saw how nice it look. "Wow." Elize said in awe as she look around. "It like a mansion in here." Leia said. "I thought this was a battleship?" Jude said. "No the E.S.S Zenethra was a cruise ship that sail the Elympios oceans, it ended up here 20 years ago when part of the Schism ruptured." Alvin said. "Wait a minute that when Exodus broke through the Schism." Milla said. "They did what?" Jude ask. "But didn't they need the lance to do that?" I ask. "The original lance of Kresnik was developed by the Elmpion army." Alvin said as we start to walk through the ship. "What do you know about it?" Milla ask. "Not much more. I know the current lance was model after it." He said. "And your people made it because they wanted spirits." Jude said. "Elympios is a world built and developed around Spyrix. They are the foundation for our entire civilization." Alvin said. "Why can you find a different foundation for your civilization?" Elize ask.

"I bet all of Elympios are full of big fat lying barbarians just like Alvin." Teepo said. "Oh now I'm a barbarian as well as a liar. It not as simple as just giving up Spyrixes for some other technology." Alvin said as we stop walking. "We're not like you, we don't have mana lodes.'" He said. "Wait what." Leia said shock. "We can't wield spirits artes, we lack the ability to manipulate mana." He said. "So you use Spyrixes to make up or it." I said. "Exactly." He said as he walk to a door with red beams of light in front of it. Teepo got close to it. "Damnit they put up barrier bars." He said as he stop Teepo from touching them. "Careful touch one and you be slice in two." He said as Teepo glurp. "So how do we get pass them?" I ask. "Oh I could help." A voice said. We turn around to see someone. It was the Exodus agent I fought back in Labari hollow Silver. Next to him was a large lizard man cover in black and sliver armor. It helmet was sliver with no eyes and on it back were several pairs of red wings.

"Ah who are these guys?" Leia ask as she pull out her staff. 'That Sliver Exodus number too, he was behind what happen to us in Xian du. The giant Lizard no idea." Alvin said. "I do that is Cyberdramon." I said. "Then it a Digmon then?" Milla ask. I look to Sliver. "Yep and I know his tamer, take off that stupid mask Ryo." I said as Sliver chuckles and remove his helmet. "Hey long time no see Takato, good to have you back." He said as we fist bump. "Same to you sorry about the ass kicking I gave you last time." I said. "So this young man is one of your fellow Tamers?' Rowen ask. "He is." I said. Elize walk to him. "Your the one who took Teepo's memory?' She ask as Ryo frown sadly. "I am let me say kid I am sorry to put you through that, and for the rest of the mess in Xian Du. It was my father orders and I couldn't blow my cover." He said. "His father?" Jude ask. "He Giland son." Alvin said. "Shit man, how long have you been in Exodus?' I ask.

"Pretty much all my life. I was born in it, I work my way through the rank until I became the second in command. It was about a year ago when I got my memory back, and I been Erika inside man in Exodus." Ryo said. 'So that mean your on our side.' Leia said. "That I am." He said. "You said you can help how?" Jude ask. Ryo grin. "Oh like this." He said as he pull out a small button. He press it as we heard a explosion. "Did the lance fire again?" Rowen ask. "Nope I just blew up the power generators to the barriers bars. They should be down in 3, 2, 1." Ryo said as the bars disappear. "Your still a show off I see, so where is Giland?" I ask. 'He not far, most likely with the lance follow me." He said as we continue on until we came to a door. "Ok he in here." He said. "Then let end this." I said as we went in. The room was quite large with the lance facing out side as it fire. I saw in the floor were four colors orbs. That must be the Four, Giland must be using them to power the lance. Giland was sitting in front of the lance.

He saw us. "What a lovely surprise." Giland said as he look at Ryo. "Tell me Ryolan siv Svent why would you side with them?" He ask. "Because you always been a shitty dad, that and I was never on you side. I know where I stand with my friends." Ryo said. "At least you were considerable to deliver Maxwell to me." Giland said as he turn to Alvin. "And you Alfred vint Svent why did you betray us?" He ask. "It simple because the truth is I always despised you." Alvin said as Giland got up. "I see your prepare to spend the rest of your life in Rieze Maxia." Giland said. "Like that matter to me." Alvin said. Giland laugh as a white channeling circle appear infront of him as it shot Icicles at us. We quickly rolled out of the way to avoid being hit. "How did you do that!" Alvin shout. "I didn't feel any spirits die." Milla said. "Nether did I." I said. What going on. "Eat this!" Alvin shout as shot at Giland. But an ice wall form in front of him to block it. The wall than shatters to reveal the woman that aided Giland before.

"There it is, it that spirit." Elize said. The spirit look at Milla. "I see so your Maxwell." She said only to get slap by Giland. "Be quiet, who told you to speak." He said. "You son of a bitch!" I shout at him. "What the hell was that for, why are you taking orders from this jerk?" Ask Leia. "It only natural for tools to obey their wielders" Giland said as he pat the woman head. "The only tool I see here is you Giland. Humans and spirits are suppose to live together in peace." I said. "My servant here is hardly your garden variety spirit. She actually a Spyrite." He said as he held up a box like device. A Spyrite? "We use Boosters to recreate the spirit Celsius from the spirit fossil in which she lay dormant. She is the physicals manitestion of a spirit arte itself." Giland said. "So now your using spirits mana to perform artes." Alvin said. "Heh and that why she is a tool, does it all make sense now." Giland said. "Your shit." I said. "That he is.' Ryo said. "So that why you took Teepo data, how could you do that to him!" Elize shout.

"Little lady I have to personally thank you for that. It told us precisely how to give birth to Spyrite. And how to turn Rieze Maxia into energy. I take those aren't tears of joy little lady." He said mocking her. I going to kill this ass hole. "How can you be just a monster." Rowen said. "Conductor, I'm sure I thought the curtain close on your career long ago. Why insisted on an encore now?" Giland ask. "I'll have you know I'm stubborn as my king. I'm not about to forgive you for toying with his life." Rowen said. "We won't lose to you." Jude said. Giland scoff. "Is that suppose to frighten me, you should really know your place boy." He said. "You don't have the power or the ambition to make such threats." He said. "You all people have no right to talk about, you don't know shit!" I shout as I draw my sword. "I have little interest in all of this. But answer one question. Do you know the difference between you and Jude and Takato?" Milla ask.

"As I care." Giland said. "As I thought, that what make you a fool." She said as we got ready for them. We heard the lance start to charge up. "The lance is spooling up to absorb more mana. Come Maxwell I'll allow you to live, however." Giland said as he pull out a large shotgun. "The rest of you will die!" He shot. "We will protect Rieze Maxia. Here we come Giland!" I shout.

Heroes vs Giland and Celsius

"Talon storm!" Jude shout as he rush at Giland and punch at him. Giland got the upper hand and kick Jude back. "Glacial core!" Rowen shout as he launch an ice ball at Giland. Giland quickly shot it causing it to shatter. "Cerberus strike!" Leia shout as she lunges at him with her staff. Giland was able to parry her off and was about to shoot her. But Ryo block it with his tonfa and strike Giland in the face that cause him to stumble. "Cyberdramon now!" Ryo shout. "Desolation claw!" Cyberdramon shout as he shot a barrage of sliver energy shot at Giland at force him to move back. But he ran into Alvin. "This is me at my very best!" Alvin shout as he slam Giland into the air and hit him with a barrages of gun shots. He then jump at Giland. "Terminus pride!" Alvin shout as he gave Giland the final slash taking him out of the fight. That just leave the rest of us with Celsius. "Sun burst!" Milla shout as she sent a large fire ball at Celsius.

Celsius dodge it and shot icicles toward us. "Teepo vacuum!" Elize shout as Teepo suck up the ice and sent it back at her. Celsius put up an ice wall to block it. "Rock breaker!" Guilmon shout as he smash it with his claw. I jump over him as I charge at her with my ShiKai at the ready. Celsius form an ice sword in her hand to block me. She push me and and slash toward me. We start to strike and parry one another. She form a second sword and swung for my head. I barely move in time as it nick my cheek. I broke through her defense and punch her in the face knocking her back. "Just to let you know, this isn't your fault." I said as she stop. "What?' She ask. "Your just another one of Giland victims Moeru Talho!" I shout as I thrust my sword forward and sent a fire blast at her chest and knock her down. It was over. We look to see Giland was on his knees. "No not now, not when we finally created a Spyrite damnit!" He shout. "The only thing you really wanted to is gain favor with the outside to boost your influence." Alvin said.

"What are the point of making these Spyrites things anyway?" I ask. "Spyrite are different from Spyrix, they allow us to wield incredible power without consuming spirits. Elympios is overflowing with people and we need Spyrites to sustain ourselves." He said. "What are you talking about?" Jude ask. We saw that Giland device and Celsius start to dissolve into yellow light and fade away. "As spirits have become scare so has mana in Elympios. Our world is now doom to fade away." Giland said. "So that is what you implemented the other world reactor plan." Rowen said. "But it your fault for getting hook on Spyrixes to begin with." Leia said. "And now you got to pay for it." I said But what he say is true that mean Rika and the other are in danger. "But if Spyrites become common place the people of Elympios will have all the mana they need." Giland said as I notice traces of lighting on him. "Is that a little late for that? You were the ones to rely on Spyrix 2000 years ago." Milla said.

"That wasn't me!" Giland shout as he started to cry out. "Father" Ryo said. " Hey you ok?" Alvin ask. "My death is not going to change the fate of Rieze Maxia. Our plan can procced so long as the Schism exist, everything you done is for nothing." Giland said as he fall down dead. "Is he dead?" Leia ask. "He is." Ryo said. "Perhaps that was the price he had to pay for Celsius." Rowen said. "It was a high price to pay for that much power." Milla said. That when father group came in. "Has everything been settle?" He ask. "Yep you just miss one heck of a party." I said. "This doesn't feel right not one bit." Jude said. "Your right, we beat Giland so why can't I shake this feeling of dread?" I ask. We saw Milla walk to the center of the room. "Exodus must abandon their plans, they must be force to for the sake of Rieze Maxia." She said as she walk to the lance. She created the symbol of the Four as the spirits appear behind her.

"Good to see you all again." She said to the Four. "Maxwell." Father said. "Even you won't interfere here." She said. "I'll destroy it." She said. But then the room start to shake. What going on? Suddenly everyone were force to the floor. "Takato gravity is being increase." Moeru Ryu said. Wait gravity? Damnit so this is her plan. "What the hell is this arte!" Shout Wingul. "Did Giland set a trap?" Jude ask. "No this is something else." I said as I try to get up. But it was no used. "Come on use your artes for fuck sakes!" Agria shout. The ship start to shake even worst. I t must be starting to break apart. "This is nothing, I will break through this arte." Father said. "That it the lance of Kresnik has the power to dispel artes." Jude said. "That right." I said. "Can we even do it?" Leia ask. "It out of mana." I said. "If everyone can focus their mana into the lance then maybe." Rowen said.

"So your saying we should give that thing power!" Agria shout. "It that our we all fucking die!" I shout. "Were dead either way." Father said. Milla cry out as she force herself to her feet. She slowly make her wat to the lance. She soon reach it. "Now Maxwell activate the lance." Father said. "There is no need for everyone to risk their lives." She said. I then realize what she doing. She planning to give the lance all of her mana, but doing so will kill her. She smile at Jude. "No don't do it!" He shout as the floor start to crack. "Milla what are you doing the world needs you." I said. Please I don't want another friend to die. "With the Schism gone Exodus plan will come to an end. Isn't that right." Milla said as she look at us. "No I want you to win, but not mean losing you." Jude said as he try to go to her but Alvin stop him. "What are you doing? I have to stop her don't you see she going to kill herself!" Jude shout.

"Don't do this!" i SHOUT. "This can't happen." Leia said. "Milla!" Elize shout. "Don't please" Teepo said. "Please reconsider." Rowen said. "Please!" I shout. "Pretty please!" Guilmon shout. "Please don't do this to us. Milla if you leave us then what." Jude said. "You be fine with out me farewell Jude thank you for everything." She said as she turn back to the lance. She let out a cry as she sent all of her mana into the lance. The lance soons fire as it dispel the arte. We were able to get up. "MILLA!" Jude scream as we saw her fall over. But before we could get to her the floor shatter as we fall to the water below.

Jude: Exodus is done for, but not without a price. But when we thought it was over we discover it was far from it. Now we need to find the truth of what really going on. Next time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: Chapter 24: Lost our way. Oh Milla why did you have to die?

And done. It with a heavy heart That I wrote this one after what happen to Maka, but she in a better place now. Anyway next chapter is the final of this arc. What will happen to our heroes, find out next time. Until then this been Crimson Dragonic blazing out!
