A/N- Beware this is going to be an intense chapter. If you have any more reasons to hate Luther and Jane's(Ellie Mae's adoptive parents) guts, this is it.

The funeral took place a week later. Every one of Zoey's friends who survived the explosion attended the funeral. Ellie Mae got a series of angry stares from her adoptive parents and their friends. When She and Sylvester told them what happened, they were devastated but the blame was immediately placed on her since She and Sylvester were on the scene when it happened. Sylvester was by her side the whole time alongside the bandmates

"Don't you worry Ellie...None of this is your fault…" Slow Drag assured her.

"Yeah...it's their fault…" Blowhorn added, glancing at Zoey's parents. Ellie Mae wasn't too sure because SHE felt the responsibility for Zoey's death.

When she got home from the funeral, She took a glance at Zoey's room. She slowly took a step inside and instantly, memories of her flooded in her mind. From the first time, she comforted her as a baby to using her illusion powers on her for the first time, to comforting her during a thunderstorm making a blanket fort.

Her illusions came out as the memories flooded in. She couldn't stop staring at the illusions she made and then they stopped as she stepped on a piece of paper. She slowly picked it up and it was the same drawing that Zoey gave her before she died. She hugged the drawing close to her chest and slid on the floor.

Then suddenly, everything began to float around her as if her powers connected to her emotions. Then She heard voices...the same voices she heard the week before

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT...We'll never forgive you…" Luther's voice rang.

"YOU KILLED OUR DAUGHTER…" Jane's voice followed after.

Then she heard everything rumble around her and she looked up as gasped and everything stopped around her. She slowly walked out towards the window in her sister's room and glanced out of the window. She tried her best to let the negative thoughts subside. She tried her best not to blame herself and not allow the survivors' guilt to take control

"What are you doing in here…" she turned to see Luther by the door

"Some time to myself sir…" Ellie Mae spoke.

"Feeling guilty about your crime yet...you're lucky I haven't called the police on you yet…"

"I told you the building was on fire when I got there...I really did try to save her…"

"If it wasn't for you my daughter would still be here…" Ellie Mae slowly turned to face him. One tear slipped down her brown cheek

"You and I both know who caused that explosion to happen…" Luther came up to her. "You are a clever character, Ellie...I bet you're deadly beneath the surface…"

Ellie Mae leaned back as Luther towered over her. She heard a small vibration around the room

"Oh no...If I trigger my powers around him, I'm doomed...Calm down Ellie…" Ellie Mae thought. She tried her best to calm down while in the confrontation.

"... and I'll make your life a living hell...You selfish brat…" then Luther slowly left the room making a shocked Ellie Mae standing alone and She dropped to her knees and silently sobbed.

The next day at school, Ellie Mae slowly walked to school, her upbeat energy slowly disappearing. She slowly looked around her and everyone was mostly happy but all she could do was have her head down.

Ellie Mae sat alone at lunch, sitting near the window. She watched a few students socializing and laughing. She looked down and sighed sadly. Then she felt something tap her shoulder and she turned to see Violet with the same frown.

"Hey...I'm sorry about Zoey…" Violet told her

"It's my fault...It's my fault that she died…"

"The building was on fire and it was about to explode…"

"My point exactly...I was too late to save her…"

"Ellie Mae...You and I both know it's not your fault…" Sylvester came over and sat next to his grieving girlfriend. "I was there too...I know how much you love Zuzu…"

Ellie Mae said nothing else and just turned away.

"Wanna get flowers for Zuzu after school…" Ellie Mae slowly nodded.

Ellie Mae and Sylvester walked Biscuit after school to the flower shop. As they walked, they didn't know that they were being followed by a few men in black clothing.

Ellie Mae set the flowers on her little sister's grave. The grave was full of flowers of every type and every color. Most of the flowers were roses of blood red. Ellie Mae remembered that Zoey loved roses and the colors. A small sniffle came from the teenage girl.

"If she were here now...She would've loved this…" Ellie Mae sniffled, wiping a tear with her hand. Sylvester faced her and leaned his forehead against hers. "Thank you for being by my side Sylvie…"

"Your welcome…" Sylvester smiled and the two began to trek home.

Halfway through the walk the men in the black jump in front of them.

"Give us your money…"

"We ain't got, nothin man…" Sylvester told them

"Last chance...Give us your money…" one of them pulled on a gun as the other two began to step forward. Ellie Mae stepped in front of Sylvester and pushed her hands forward, sending the other two men into the corner.

"She's a super…" The third man groaned. As the first man was about to shoot, She floated herself and Sylvester out of the way. She yelled at her boyfriend to run back to the club while she dealt with the robbers. She used the rest of her telekinetic powers to knock them out while she ran back to the club, not knowing that a news team and a limousine with a familiar man witnessed what just happened.

When Ellie Mae arrived back, Sylvester was the first to hug her.

"You alright…" Ellie Mae nodded. The band rushed over to her. She was lucky that Luther and Jane weren't here otherwise, she would've been in bigger trouble.

"What happened to yall?" Rooster asked.

"We almost got jumped but Piano Keys saved us…She has powers…" Sylvester told them the bandmates look at Ellie Mae with a small sense of shock but then they smile at her

"What's wrong?"

"Come with us...there's somethin' we need to show y'all…" Ellie Mae and Sylvester glanced at each other confused but they followed the band anyway.

They got to the attic and Blowhorn brought down a box which made Ellie Mae gasp.

"Mama and Daddy's things...I...I thought they were thrown away...Luther told me he threw them out…"

"Well, he lied to you...we were able to hide it before he could…" Slow Drag confirmed.

"That son of a...I oughta…." Sylvester's blood boiled hearing that Luther was about to throw away precious memories

"Well...This is not the only thing that Luther hid from you…" Blowhorn took out a video camera and showed it to the kids. "Your daddy also had powers like you…" The two teens watched the camera go on and Ellie Mae saw both of her parents

A young African American man showed a young white woman of blonde hair his powers, lifting a guitar with his mind and controlling some of the instruments

"Bravo young sir" The woman clapped.

"Ya see I'm a one-man band…" the man's suave Cajun voice rang out, taking a bow towards the young woman.

Ellie Mae was shocked but then the video went on

Then a video came to a younger version of Ellie Mae. She had black hair held in two high puffs and she wore a yellow and white dress and her father, the same man in the previous video swung her around in his arms

"My little Southern Belle...My princess…"

"Daddy…" Ellie Mae giggled as the man rubbed his nose against hers lovingly.

"Elijah...Let me give some love to my baby girl…" the same woman called and Elijah passed Ellie Mae to her and the woman bounced her in the air and the child began to float on her own.

"Norma Jean...Our baby girl has powers!" Elijah cheered

"I have powers…" Ellie Mae cheered. Then She floated back down in her father's arms.

"My Southern Bell got powers...I'm so proud of you baby girl…"

"Love you Daddy…" toddler Ellie Mae spoke.

Then the video went off.

"There's more to these videos but these are the ones you need to" then Ellie Mae hugged Slow Drag.

"Thank you...I...I need to keep this box…" Ellie Mae then took the box into her room and placed it high in her closet and then a pink dress fell from the closet.

"Mama's old dress…" the pink dress was short-sleeved with red on the rim of the sleeves, collar, and the end of the dress and it was knee length. "When...When did Mama wear this dress…"

"She wore that when your father proposed to her…" then they heard footsteps come this way and Ellie Mae quickly shut the closet door.

"What's going on here...Everyone's gonna come in 15 minutes…"

"We were just getting ready sir…" Ellie Mae solemnly said. Luther gave her a sinister look, but Ellie Mae bravely looked back at him.

"Fine...but Hurry it up…" Luther departed downstairs and everyone silently sighed in relief.

"We should get ready for the night…." the band followed downstairs and Ellie Mae and Sylvester went to get ready.

When Sylvester was finished changing into a suede suit, He saw Ellie Mae come out in the dress and her hair in a half up half down ponytail and gave him a twirl.

"Tada…" Ellie Mae said. Sylvester chuckled at her. "I'm surprised this dress fit me like a glove."

"Your one Southern Belle…" Sylvester smiled. Ellie Mae slyly smiled back as the two when hand in hand down towards the bar to play for the night

Meanwhile, the limousine belonged to Winston from DevTech. When he got back to the building, Mr. Incredible, Frozone, and Elastigirl were there.

"Guys I got big news...I think there is a new super in town...Take a look…" Winston then showed the news footage of Ellie Mae fighting off the muggers and The trio had their wide eyes.

"I know that girl...She's nearby this jazz club...I'll lead you here…" then the supers and Winston took off to the club.

Ellie Mae played along with Sylvester and the band happily. Their Jazzy tune rang out of the club. Everyone snapped their fingers and swayed about the music. When the music stopped, everyone applauded for them.

They all waved and took their bows.

By the time the limousine and the supers came, almost everyone was leaving the club.

"Shows over already…" Winston said sadly.

"Where's Ellie…" Elastigirl asked. then a scream was heard at the club and the 4 rush over near the entrance and saw Luther and Ellie Mae on the ground. A few people who were still inside of the club gasped along with the band and Sylvester.

"You thought I never find out…" Luther asked her angrily.

"What are you talkin' about…" Ellie Mae said, curled up.

"Don't you lie to me girl…" then Luther showed her the news about her powers. Ellie Mae's eyes widened and stood up now that the cat was out of the bag.

"Now look what you did...You became one of them lazy no good supers…" Luther crept closer to Ellie Mae.

"Now sir...Please take it easy...It ain't gotta be this way...Please let me-" then she was interrupted by Luther slapping her in the face with the back of his hand, shocking everyone around them.

"I'm sick of you, lyin' girl...What else are you hiding from us...I knew you were the one that killed Zoey…" then everything began to rumble around Ellie Mae.

The 3 supers and Winston also saw this too.

"Uh oh…" Mr. Incredible mumbled.

"Answer me, girl...I knew you were the one that caused that fire with those powers...ANSWER ME…" then Ellie Mae faced him. Her left blue eye glowed and everything began to lift around her.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Ellie Mae screamed. Everything around her tremored, and the elevated items behind her were thrown at Luther and Jane who ducked and everyone took cover, even the bandmates, and Sylvester.

"Oh my god…" Frozone was speechless alongside Elastigirl.

"Now that's a force to be reckoned with…" Winston spoke.

When the glow from Ellie Mae's eye disappeared. She gasped, taking a good look around, seeing the damage she caused. Then She saw Jaen emerge from the rubble and pointed at her terrified.

"Your...You're a monster...MONSTER…" Jane cried. Ellie Mae tried to reach out and the other people backed away from her. Then Luther emerged as well and glanced angrily at her

"Now look what you've done...Now you'll see what your abilities have cost you…" Luther walked away until Sylvester stepped in front of her

"I think her powers are amazing…" Sylvester stood up to him

"You stay out of this boy...You and I both know She's dangerous…" Luther argued with the teenage boy.

"And you and I both know who really killed Zoey...And it ain't got nothing to do with Ellie…" Sylvester pointed a finger at his chest.

"That's right…" the bandmates backed him up.

All Ellie Mae could do was stare at her hands. "He's right...I am dangerous…" she thought. Before Sylvester could reach out to her, She took off in a run, breaking down. She even pushed past the supers, who felt horrible for her. Sylvester and the bandmates ran out too.

"I know where She's going, follow me…" Sylvester ran in pursuit along with the band and the supers ran off too.

"Follow the boy and the band…." Winston told the limousine driver.

Ellie Mae reached the graveyard and landed on Zoey's flower-covered grave. She sobbed heavily with makeup running down her face. All of the voices went into her head.

"You're a Monster…" Jane's voice rang.

"Now look what you've done…" Luther's voice rang. "You're one of them lazy no good supers…"

Ellie Mae covered her ears to shut the voices out but mentally she couldn't. She had finally reached her breaking point and she couldn't endure her adoptive family's abuse any longer

"No more…" Ellie Mae said to herself. Then the voices in her head rang louder and louder as everyone arrived at the scene, Sylvester was about to touch her until

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" Ellie Mae screamed once more, causing a wave and the power around the city to be shut off. Then She slowly fainted into Sylvester's arms. Everyone rushed over to check on her

"OH," Mr. Incredible started.

"My" Elastigirl, Frozone, and Winston added.

"GOD!" Sylvester and the bandmates finished.

A/N- I know people are gonna come after me for this. The incredible movie took place in the 1960s and I did my research, basically, Ellie Mae's Parents broke the law of being married to each other because interracial marriage was forbidden, therefore, Ellie Mae was a child that should not have been born. The name southern belle is referred to as a beautiful white woman in the south but since Ellie Mae is of mixed race, her father used it differently and the name will play a role in her superhero identity.
