A/N: Hello, Novanto here! Okay, before I start my ramble, lemme get the boring stuff out of the way, so we don't have to worry about it later...
*clearing throat, shuffling papers* I don't own Homestuck, and this is VERY MUCH a chub and weight gain kink fic with a few NSFW moments. If you are not comfortable with such things, this is your FINAL warning, click away NOW, and no more will be given. Get it? Got it? Good! Now where was I..? Ah yeah.
What follows is one of my more popular stories over on AO3. This began as a role play between myself and Chubbin Lovin over there, and I am deeply fond of this story! So, if you've read and understood my earlier warnings, let us begin.
Dave starting weight: 180 pounds
Sollux starting weight: 150 pounds
Oh, and one last thing, Bro Strider isn't an abusive p*do in this-he's Dave and Dirk's uncle who took them in after their parents died... and probably shoulda picked up a book on "Parenting for Dummies".
A/N 2: Thanks to some constructive criticism from insanereviewer (thank you so much for that, even if this isn't your cuppa tea. I really appreciate it!), I elected to create this prologue, and then at... some point, when my muse decides to cooperate, revamp and neaten up the other chapters. Once they're all to my satisfaction, I'll update them both here and on ao3! Until then, kick back, relax, and thank you for reading!
Dave Strider and the other members of the Skaia High football team filed into the locker room, complimenting and joking with each-other after a good session of practice as Coach Dexter began gathering the equipment. "Good game team!" The coach called out as Dave took his helmet off, shaking out his snow-white hair. "Now go shower and head home."
Dave breathed in the familiar smell of the room, the familiar smell of sweaty teenage male masked somewhat by the vague hint of body spray, as he plopped down on the bench to tug open his locker, immediately pulling out his signature sunglasses and slipping them on.
"Hey Dave, nice tackle tonight man!" One of the others called out, to general agreement from the rest of the team.
"Thanks peeps!" Dave responded easily as he pulled his bag out and shut the locker tight. As he stood up, his phone buzzed. "Sorry guys, it's Sollux, gotta take this." Without further ado, Dave unlocked the device and read the newest message.
TA: you 2tiill on for dnd toniight?
TG: you know it dude
TG: just gotta change outta my funky uniform
TA: thx for not 2tiinkiing up my hou2e.
TA: 2ee ya later!
Dave smiled fondly at the phone, recalling when he first met Sollux, on his first day of attending.

"What do you think you're doing?" Dave snapped, pulling on his shades to reveal a rare glimpse of his ruby red eyes. Before the bullies could answer, he continued. "You know what, I don't care. Guys, deal with them, I'll check on the new guy."
As the rest of the team headed after the thugs, Dave turned to their intended victim. "Yo, you okay?"
"Y-yeah, I think so…" The boy was plump, honey-blond and wore a pair of red-blue shades. "Thanks." He had a slight lisp to his voice.
"No prob man. They bug you again, come find me. Name's Dave, by the way. Dave Strider." Dave extended a hand.
"Sollux Captor," Sollux shook hands as he stood up, revealing the Master Ball design on his shirt.
"Pokemon, huh? What's your fave?"
Sollux blinked, and Dave could almost see the gears working in his head, going 'WTF? A jock being nice to me and being a Pokefan?' "Uh… Vespiqueen. Always liked bees," Sollux answered after a moment.
"Cool cool, gotta go with Houndoom myself," Dave replied with a polite smile, pushing his shades back up.
Sollux smiled back, adjusting his own lenses. "Hey, uh… think we could trade numbers?" he asked nervously. "Might be easier to text you if those jerkwads come back."
"Sounds like a plan!"

Dave smiled at the phone before hopping into the showers to clean off. He looked down at his trim, wide receiver frame, running his fingers down albino pale skin. He smiled and did a double pistol at his reflection in a nearby mirror, before turning on the warm water.
As Dave showered, he hummed a little tune to himself, wondering what Sollux had planned for him later.
The chubby nerd had invited Dave to play Dungeons and Dragons at his house with some friends during lunch. The football team had happily accepted Sollux at their usual table, as accepting as they were, before dissolving into their own conversations. Dave had only heard of D&D by its reputation, and knew the extreme basics, leading to his doubting he would be a good fit, but Sollux assured Dave that he could show him the ropes during the game before handing over a small bag of dice for Dave to "get to know," whatever that meant.
Now clean, Dave dried and dressed himself in his jeans and signature red disc T-shirt, before bidding the team a good night and getting wishes of good luck in reply. He sent his uncle and caregiver a message that he would be eating dinner at a friend's that night as he walked, and received an annoyed but accepting response.
Dave double-checked Sollux's address and rang the bell. After a moment, Sollux answered it and welcomed him inside. "Glad you could make it!"
"Everyone else already here?" Dave asked, setting his bag next to Sollux's by the door.
"Not yet, you're the first to arrive. C'mon, let's set up your sheet while we wait."
"Sounds good to me!"
