***A/N (Author's Note) - Disclaimer: I do not take responsibility for creating the Total Drama characters featured in this story: Chris McLean, Chef Hatchet, and Zoey.

Good to see you here. In the universe of Journey of My Life, the original cast seasons ended with Total Drama Action. Total Drama Revenge of the Island was the third season, and World Tour is the fourth season with an all new cast. I tried to steer the story in the direction that World Tour originally went, but with different characters/conflicts/plot/etc. You should see some similarities. Also, if you enjoy this story, I'm in the process of making a rewrite of All Stars. With all that out of the way...

I hope you enjoy this story.

Prologue

Rome's POV

So.

There I was.

I was rushing out my door, jumping in my car and heading for my '96 Honda Accord parked out in the road. I had just said goodbye to my mother and was about to drive off to the small airport located outside town. But, there may be one question on your mind.

What was I doing, driving to the airport?

Well, let me explain this to you. You see, I'm an avid fan of the hit Canadian reality show Total Drama. They had done a few seasons, but wanted something different for this year. Instead of the expected norm, the producers of Total Drama-as well as the host, Chris McLean and his accomplice, Chef Hatchet-came to Fernview.

Why Fernview? Well, we're a quirky town, no doubt about it. They wanted kids from a small, quirky town, so they decided to host interviews with almost every kid at my high school: Fernview High. Based on how the kids did in their meetings with Chris and Chef and possibly a producer or two, and what they said and how they vibed in the interviews, then that person was chosen to star in Total Drama's hottest new season. But here's the most exciting part.

I was chosen.

Me. I mean, it's not like I'm anyone special. I did mention that I was a huge fan of the show, and my friends consider me naturally comedic... perhaps they saw this as an opportunity for a good cast member? Anyway, when I got the email from the producers about Chris choosing me, I was completely ecstatic. I danced a jig like none other. My neighbors are probably still angry about that shriek of happiness.

Poor old Nora.

After this occurred, a producer accompanied me back to my house and made sure that my mom and I were alright with me going through with being on the show. As you may or may not have guessed, my mom was excited about this as well. After all, her son is a huge fan of the show...

She was also aware that there's a chance at $1,000,000, if you win, and boy howdy could we use the money.

Here's the catch, this season of Total Drama was titled Total Drama World Tour. Thus, all students competing were to rush to the airport on time if they were to fly in Chris McLean's brand new jumbo jet. As the producer spoke to my mom about the conditions and safety and all that, I don't think there was any possible way that she could say no to my pleading face. Therefore, she gave me the okay, and I packed my bags that night, preparing for the long trip ahead of me. The excitement nagged at me all night, and it took me what felt like an eternity to fall asleep.

The very next morning, I was to show up at the small airport at approximately 8am if I was to be a part of the show. I was about to travel the globe, competing with whichever of my peers were chosen to compete.

It was truly about to be the journey of my life. This was my one and only chance to compete for that million, and I couldn't let this opportunity fly by me. Nor could I let that plane fly away without me, but more on that in the first chapter.
