Hey so the last one was pretty short so sorry about that. I was trying to go with the whole back and forth thing with chapters like Rick Riordan (who owns all rights) does in the series, but I kinda wanted to finish this little section with the collector. So you're getting more Percy. Is that a bad thing though ;) haha I'm kidding. Anyway I hope you enjoy part 2!

Percy

Was this the beginning of a mental breakdown? An inexplicable attachment to an inanimate object? He decided not to dwell too much on things. Claire was walking behind him kicking even more rocks. Instead of them usually flying out in front of the pair, now they went directly into his shoe. When he asked her to stop kicking rocks, she said this.

"Can we go to the castle." And to that he declined eventing in her sticking her tongue out at him. That was the kind of loving relationship the two of them had. The closer they got to The Collector's building, the thinner the fog got. Percy expected a haunted house looking building with spider webs and broken glass, instead he was greeted with an unending grey box. From a distance, it looked like a house, now that they were closer, it looked like a storage facility. Overall, Percy was underwhelmed.

"Alright. Where's the door?" He peered around looking for one, but he couldn't find one.

"Wow what a shame. Can we get back on track now?" She looked nervous. Percy felt badly dragging her into what was sure to be another fight, especially when she seemed so scared of the last one, but he needed the necklace. His neck already felt odd without it.

"Oh I have an idea." He reached in his pocket and pulled out Riptide. "HEY COLLECTOR!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. Claire jumped next to him wide eyed.

"Are you insane?" She hissed.

"Maybe." He remembered Leo's saying 'I don't think, it interferes with being crazy'. He grinned at the thought of his friend. "I HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU!" He shouted again.

"ONE OF A KIND CELESTIAL BRONZE SWORD THAT CHANGES INTO A PEN. YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT!" He left out the part where it automatically comes back to his pocket when it's been away for a certain period of time. They'd find that out soon enough.

"It wont work." Claire bit her lip, revealing her missing teeth.

"I guess we'll see." Suddenly Servant came out, his greedy eyes darting around. Percy waved Riptide high in the air. Servant took a step forward, but Percy shook his finger.

"Uh uh uh. I want in first."

"I beat you last time I can beat you again." He growled.

"Well this time I have a friend." He jabbed his finger in Claire's direction. Bluffing. He learned that from Annabeth. He hoped Claire was smart enough to play along.

"Yep." She said, but Percy could tell that her voice was much higher than usual.

"Fine!" Percy was surprised at his eagerness. He thought he'd try to argue at least a little bit more. Was Servant carried away by greed, or was there a trap in place?

"Um, okay." He started in, but felt Claire grab his hand from behind. He felt a surge of warmth for the little kid behind him and squeezed her hand gently. He gave her a reassuring smile. The wall seemed to melt, but only in the door shaped position. The ADHD part of his brain wondered if it did that on all parts of the building. Maybe it even did it on the ceiling and the ceiling parts would drip down like rain. When they stepped in, the melted wall seemed to reverse and reshape itself, like water to ice. Percy wondered what would happen if he was standing in the doorway when that happened. Would it form around him and he would be stuck in it like Han Solo in Star Wars or-

"Jackson!"

"Huh?" Percy hadn't been paying attention at all. This would typically cue the irritated look from Annabeth. It was odd how much he missed her even being mad at him.

"As I was saying, here is the collection." He brandished his arms outward, and Percy saw the room.

"Woah." He whispered. Mountains upon mountains were stacked higher in neat rows farther down then Percy could even see. More stuff than Percy had ever seen in his life. He let loose a low whistle.

Servant gave a smug grin. "All the new stuff that has been collected is up front, and all the old stuff is in the back. We keep it organized like that." Servant watched them take it all in. Percy saw Servant's smile and knew that even though he was evil, he was quite proud of what he'd collected over the years. He was showing off.

"Now, the reason I let you guys in was because The Collector wanted to see you. Right this way." Percy started following. he couldn't help it. All the jewels of the jewelry and gleam of the weapons glinted before his eyes almost hypnotizing him. He wanted to see more. He swayed on his feet. So beautiful. So many colors swimming before him. Percy wanted to reach out and touch them. Claire tugged on his wrist, but he was sure it wasn't important.

Claire tugged harder but Percy didn't want to tear his eyes away from the beauty. She was in front of him, pointing to something. More jewels? No, just an ugly brown necklace with faded beads along the line. Nothing compared the the metal ones. He followed in a dream state after Servant. Servant looked back and grinned at Percy. Did he get to be here everyday? Lucky. Percy wanted his job.

There was a throne and on it sat a man. He was wearing a cape studded with jewels and a crown atop his head. He wore thousands of bracelets and necklaces. He had weapons lined up on the arms of his chair. He was like a king. As he should be with all his jewels. Claire didn't like The Collector. She needed some jewelry. It would make her pretty yellow dress much prettier.

"Hello Percy Jackson. I hear you're quite popular now a-days." Percy just nodded. Was he? That was nice. "Gaea has sent out a nice little reward for you. Have you heard? That reward could get me more shiny things. New shiny things too, not used ones that I have to find. Wouldn't that be nice?"

"Yes." This hard working man deserved more shiny things. He worked hard only to get second hand, that wasn't fair.

"So, you're going to cooperate?" He leaned forward, his many items of jewelry clinking together as he did so.

"Of course." Servant smiled and moved towards Percy. Servant, now he didn't seem like a mean man at all anymore. After all, he works hard too, getting all the shiny things. There were so many. Percy wildly looked around, wanting to see more. One bracelet on The Collector's wrist was solid gold with a purple gem right in the center. One was blue and green swirl. One of the swords was pure gold, glinting in the light. One of the daggers was a beautiful bronze with a leather handle.

Suddenly Percy frowned. The dagger, Claire tugging on his wrist, the ugly necklace, the dagger! His mouth dropped open. Annabeth's dagger! It was here. She thought she'd never see it again, but here it was, on the throne of lies. His brain seemed to jump start.

"Oh big mistake." He growled. He uncapped Riptide and chopped Servant right in half. He disappeared into a pile of sand. The Collector screamed an almost inhuman scream, sound ripping through the remainder of Percy's dreamlike state. He shook his head, trying to clear his mind. He leaped up onto the throne and held his sword to The Collector's throat.

"Dude I hate being hypnotized or whatever the crap you just did." He reached down and grabbed Annabeth's knife.

"Do you really have much experience?" Claire's voice came from below him.

"Yeah. Lotus Hotel, Circe's Island, Sirens for a bit, and of course when I was actually possessed which was like twice." He counted the occasions off on his fingers. Meanwhile The Collector's hand was ever so slowly inching towards an imperial gold knife off to the side. Percy noticed this and stabbed him in the heart. Right before he managed to completely dissolve into sand, he jammed a button on the arm of the throne with his disintegrating hand. An alarm started rippling out of the ceiling.

"Great, just great." He leaped down next to Claire and they started running back to where they saw the necklace.

"Did you just kill The Collector?" Her voice was high pitched.

"Well yeah he was about to kill me." Claire didn't respond. Percy skidded to a halt.

"Wait if Annabeth's dagger is here, her backpack must be here! With Daedalus's laptop! She loved that thing I have to find it!" He started looking through the piles. Claire groaned.

"This is not time for gifts for your girlfriend, Percy! We need to leave!" Percy ignored her and kept searching. Servant had said that all the new stuff would be in the front and Annabeth had only just lost her laptop. He dug through pile after pile, Claire stood off to the side.

"Alright come on Claire. I spy with my little eye a blue backpack. Help me find it!" She just rolled her eyes and joined in. More and more Servants started coming in and Percy drew Riptide again, unwillingly turning his back to all the piles.

"You search, I defend." He said as he leaped into battle. These were the kinds of battles Percy was used to. The Servant he met earlier must have been the best of the best, because these Servants were easy to cut through and not good at pairing his strikes. It was almost like a breath of relief in a way. Was he loosing his mind? Becoming relieved in the middle of a fight?

"Is this it?" Percy quickly glanced back and saw the grayish backpack dangling from her hands.

"No. It's blue. Wait, yes! That actually is it! Man it has seen better days." He cut through two more Servants.

"Gee I wonder why. Alright let's get out of here." Claire already turned to run. Percy started to follow, but a Servant ripped his sword from his hands. He used it to swing at him. Percy ran after Claire.

"But- you're sword."

"Leave it." He huffed. As they ran by, he scooped up his necklace from a nearby pile they'd seen earlier and ran to where the door used to be.

"Oh come on come on." Claire groaned. Servants were getting closer and they started running towards the pair. Claire started to move but Percy held her in place.

"Stay still."

"WHAT?!"

"Trust me."

"I don't!" The Servants were getting closer, their weapons stretched out for attack. Percy wanted to move, he wanted to close his eyes and be somewhere else, he wanted to run away, but Annabeth was in his head, telling him what to do. The closest Servant was about a foot away and thats when Percy yelled.

"Jump back!" And he and Claire jumped straight backwards through the door that had just melted. When they hit the dirt of the Tartarus floor the scrambled up and started at a dead sprint. The Servant who had unwillingly caused the doorway to melt open had a face of shock and tried to follow after them, but they soon lost him. During the run, Percy retied his necklace around his neck and checked Annabeth's dagger. He was smiling.
