Author''s Note: Heads up this note is a little on the long side trying to provide relevant background information to this story. If you have never read one of my stories before, you should know this is the tenth story featuring my O.C., Kellie Corinthos, Sonny's daughter, who was involved in the business and used to be a WSB agent at one point. She left the mob and Port Charles to raise a family with Tyler. My profile lists the stories and they order they should be read in. Or for anyone that's interested, I'm in the process of putting a together summaries/recaps for each of the Kellie Corinthos stories, I can refer people to for some of the past details or relevant information that may be different from the show. Something to serve as a quick reference guide. I'll update it as needed. As always feel free to ask me any questions about timelines or information.

Gibbs and the NCIS team made some appearances in some of the other Kellie Corinthos Stories (When It All Falls Apart, Strong As Its Ever Been, and Nothing Left To Prove) as one of her enemies was the subject of an NCIS investigation. However, they noted they had met Kellie previously through her work with the foundation and her assistance when Tony's daughter was kidnapped. There was some interest in seeing a story about Kellie, Gibbs, and the NCIS team when they first met and what happened to leave Gibbs irritated/annoyed at Kellie. So this is that story. This takes us back to when Kellie is living in California and her first husband, Tyler, is still alive. Their kids would be about 6 (Jamie and Jared) and 4 (Alyssa). Kellie founded and runs the Crossing Into Dawn Foundation which helps foster kids, abuse victims, and victims of human trafficking.

When looking up the NCIS timelines as far as Tony finding out about Tali and leaving NCIS and when Agent Sloane arrived and matching up details, I realized Agent Sloane didn't end up in the original NCIS until 2017 when Kellie and Tyler were already facing the return of his leukemia in "When It All Falls Apart". But Sloane is noted to have been in California prior to starting on NCIS which is why in later chapters you'll encounter her in California.

Given that the focus of this story leans more towards NCIS, I'm not sure how many GH characters we'll see in here aside from my OCs. Lorenzo, Spinelli, for sure to some degree. I'm open to suggestion.

There will eventually be another story featuring Jason and Kellie. But the storyline I have in mind is heavier than I want to tackle at this time. For now we'll leave them hanging out where we left them, no threats, and just being a family.

I hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend! Happy Thanksgiving wherever and however you're celebrating this year.

October 2016 - Paris

Tony and Tali were waiting to get breakfast at a cafe when an argument broke out at the table next to them. The argument turned violent when one of the patrons pulled a knife.

"Don't move," Tony said to Tali before intervening. Tony walked over to the couple.

The woman with the knife shoved Tony and went running out of the cafe. Tony hit his head against the table.

When Tony looked up, Tali was gone.

NCIS - Washington, D.C.

"You wanted to see me, Leon," Gibbs said, entering the Director's Office.

"Tali's been kidnapped," Leon said.

"What happened?" Gibbs asked.

"Paris authorities believe Beau and Bella Le Requin are behind her kidnapping," Leon said, "A fight broke out at a cafe where Tony and Tali were having breakfast. Tony intervened and when the people fighting ran for it, Tali was gone. The Le Requins have used this ploy before when they target a child for kidnapping. Bella was identified as being in the area at the time."

"How's Tony?" Gibbs asked.

"Not sure yet," Leon said, "Given what happened to Ziva, I get notified about anything that might happen with Tony or Tali."

"What do we do?" Gibbs asked.

"Sit tight for now," Leon said, "It's not our jurisdiction unless we determine the Le Requins bring Tali to the states which is a possibility. Even then it may not go to us."

"You know we can't just sit tight," Gibbs said, "This is Tony and Ziva's daughter."

"We have to," Leon said, "I figured the team would want to know."

"Why do they kidnap children?" Gibbs asked.

"Sometimes black market adoptions or forced child labor," Leon said, "They seem to have established themselves as selling children to drug runners to use in transporting product across the border."

"How long ago?" Gibbs asked, storming off, "Never mind just send me the BOLO or whatever the Paris equivalent is?"

"Gibbs," Leon said. But Gibbs ignored him as he left.

The next day

"What do we got?" Gibbs asked then sipped his coffee in the bullpen.

"I talked to Tony this morning," McGee said, "Paris authorities let him know the Le Requin's have a flight plan for the states."

"We can work with that," Gibbs said, leaving.

"How did Tony sound?" Bishop asked

"Frustrated, angry, terrified," McGee said, "You name it."

"Tony texted me last night asking me to look into who the experts in this kind of thing are," Bishop said.

"Anything promising?" McGee asked.

"The usual," Bishop said, "Though I did run across one person who wasn't so conventional."

"Gibbs won't like it," McGee said, "Us bringing in anyone else."

"Well, not exactly our jurisdiction," Bishop said, "If Tony wants to work with someone else, why shouldn't he?"

"McGee," Gibbs said, rejoining them, "Start tracking credit card activity for the Le Requins. Ellie, get us everything on the Le Requins."

"The Director gave us the go ahead to work on this?" McGee said.

"I'm not exactly sure the Le Requins coming here allows us to get involved," Bishop pointed out.

"Did I ask your opinion?" Gibbs replied.

"No, sir," McGee said, typing away at the computer, "I'll uh get right on that."

Bishop handed Gibbs a piece of paper.

"What's this?" Gibbs asked.

"A list of experts Tony asked for to help find Tali" Bishop replied.

"I think it's a little early to be making these calls," Gibbs said, "Besides the Paris authorities would call any of these guys if they needed or the FBI could if they get involved…wait a second….this last one… You want to read in the daughter of the biggest racketeers on the eastern seaboard.. The one that's every law enforcement agent's wet dream to take down. What the hell are you thinking, Bishop?"

"That can't be right," Bishop said, "Kellie Scott? She's the founder of a charity that does a lot of work helping foster kids, orphans, runaways, abused women and children, and helping victims of human trafficking start over."

"Her maiden name is Corinthos," McGee said, looking through Kellie's information on the computer.

"No," Bishop said, her jaw dropping in surprise, "As Michael 'Sonny' Corinthos?"

"One and the same," McGee said, ""She's also the niece of Lorenzo Alcazar, formerly head of one of the most notorious crime families in South America. Rumor has it she even ran her father's organization at one time."

"She might have resources and connections others don't," Bishop said, "The foundation is scheduled to launch their own rescue operations next year."

"The answer is no to all them, especially Corinthos," Gibbs said as he left.

"Seriously?" McGee asked, "You didn't think to check your unconventional expert's background before springing the idea on Gibbs."

"I just read her bio on the website," Ellie said, pulling up the foundation website on the screen, "How was I to know that behind the life of the spy turned philanthropist was a former mob boss?

"At least you didn't give the list to Tony yet," McGee said.

"About that…" Ellie said, "I sent it this morning."

"You know this won't end well," McGee said, "Knowing Tony, this Kellie Corinthos is exactly who he'll pick. Gibbs won't like it."

"What are the chances really?" Ellie asked.

"It's Tony," McGee said, "His daughter is missing. Do you really have to ask?"
