Again, wasn't gonna have an author's note, but this thought came up that I figured my become relevant in later dates.
I assume many authors begin writing like this; thinking that they can do a chapter or some variable amount of content per day. I blazed through the first four chapters of this story, nothing wrong with that because I think it was best to get a solid foundation out fast. The point that I'm getting at is that I have no idea how long chapter posting will take, but I have a large amount of missions/scenes planned out, as well as the ending. It'll take a long time before I can get the whole story on paper (you know what I meant), but I can confirm that I'll continue working on this until it's completed, unless I specify otherwise.
Also, a little thing I was proud of: because I worked on this slowly and over the course of several days, I was afraid that this would be a really short chapter. I was proud to see that it actually was the largest by somewhere around 2000 words I think, so there's that!
Also also, I think I mentioned that I run my chapters through Grammarly as proof reading, but when I was re-reviewing the chapter in Fanfic's doc manager, I found a singular typo, so I apologize if there are any that I don't catch; I take pride in writing properly, so to find a mistake feels like a huge failure.
"These test results... it's interesting how uninteresting they are."
"Why do you say that? And can you even call it testing? You're making the kid play board games for crying out loud."
Two human men were sitting in a room. One had a cup in his hand with a large arc on the side for a handle. The beverage inside of it steamed and its smell permeated the room. Coffee. They each wore long white lab coats.
"When it comes to checkers, he has a 100% win rate. As for chess, he's extremely sloppy." One of them said to the other, who was holding the drink and looking through a two-way mirror with disinterest.
"Sounds like an average kid to me." He replied hazily.
"How can you say that!? This is an incredible specimen! It's capable of using Pokémon moves- don't you know how useful this could be?"
The first scientist rattled on.
"It's a human male. For someone belittling me for not being interested, you should speak with more accuracy."
"Yes, yes, but don't you wanna know why the results were so interesting?" The excited man prattled on, peering over some papers in his hands at his coworker.
"Fine, I'll bite. Kid slaps at checkers, sucks balls at chess. Why?" The man took a sip of his coffee, not meeting his friend's gaze.
"Alright, alright, I'll tell you," he replied, earning an impatient sigh from the other, "monomania."
The two looked at each other, one beaming with excitement and the other with a bored, skeptical look on his face.
"Monomania? What, like tunnel vision?" He took another sip of his coffee. It was half-empty.
"Precisely- whenever he's playing checkers, every piece moves the same and there are considerably fewer possibilities. He consistently performs double and triple jumps. But in chess, he constantly loses precious pieces by putting them in the open. He almost always opens a game by moving his two knights in front of the pawns, and likewise almost always loses one to a bishop he didn't see coming."
"This doesn't sound like tunnel vision to me."
"But there's more! He constantly falls into traps and snares. If an enemy moves their knight into his piece's line of fire, he'll go for it and lose that piece to another that he didn't notice."
"Alright, I see what you mean, but that sounds like it could happen to anybody."
"Even still, around the lab, he just won't put down what he's doing until he's done, and he often gets startled whenever we walk up to him because he wasn't even aware that we were approaching."
"That's fine, but what's your point?"
"We've learned something about him! Other than him being intelligent, he's shown no signs of his core person. Sounds pretty groundbreaking to me."
"Eh, if you say so."

Zero was standing shakily, his knees were bent more out of exhaustion than for a fighting stance. He'd keep standing until this fight ended though.
He was in front of three Pokémon, two to his left and right, and one directly behind. A sceptile, a Latias, and a luxray, respectively. They weren't the problem though- no, the problem was the two Pokémon in front of him. Entei and Suicune.
They were fearsome on their own, horrific as a pair, and unbearable with the fiery black aura that was coming off of their bodies.
Voltage was the best bet for taking care of Suicune. Glave was a big assist in his mega evolved form, seeing as fire no longer super-affected his half-dragon typing. The concern was Ruby. She was resistant to fire and water, but it's common knowledge that Suicune has just as much reputation for its powers with ice as it does for its water.
Entire roared, picking up and slamming down his feet, causing what appeared to be magma to erupt from the earth beneath him. Lava plume rushed at Team Luck, however, it didn't go far as a large protect barrier appeared and blocked it all, redirecting it to either side of the team before cooling into rock.
Zero could no longer stand after the defensive play. He looked at the legendary Pokémon before him with exasperation written in his soul. He was overcome with lassitude; the battle hadn't just begun. Entei and Suicune were persistent about using field sweeping moves, and it was up to Zero to block them. The problem was that protect was the most draining move in his arsenal. Or rather, it had the potential to be. The stronger the move it's blocking, the greater the effect it has on the 14-year-old human.
Voltage, the luxray in the back, fired a small burst of electricity into the air. When he did, thick roots bolted out of the ground with ripping noises following. They wrapped around Suicune's neck and legs, securing it in place. Entei turned and prepared to use its fire to destroy the roots, but the enormous bolt of lightning that struck the fire type was quicker.
Static bounced around the volcanically born Pokémon: a visible paralysis. It was all the opening needed.
Glave dashed forward, not leaving so much as an afterimage in his wake. His leaf blades meet Suicune with immense power. The water beast howled into the air as an X shape across its chest filled slightly with turquoise blood. The skin was broken and there was no fur in that spot, but the bleeding wasn't profuse. Glave snaked his way back to his team, evading a hydro pump on the way.
"Can't you seal their mouths?! They walk on four feet- their mouth is the only thing they can attack from!" Zero called out to the mega sceptile.
"I'm on it! You don't have to just sit there and wait, you know." The grass dragon replied. The two weren't arguing. In battle, it was how they functioned. There was no time to sound nice, and they both spoke with a rougher dialect when it was time to.
Zero gripped his throat and winced. He growled in effort before shooting out hydro pump.
[Damn- couldn't make it a cannon!]
The water attack crashed into Entei, who could only watch in his paralyzed state. Meanwhile, four vines wrapped around Suicune's mouth, sealing it shut.
"That... That should *cough* do it for now..." Zero was wiped. Speaking felt as hard as using a move right then. "They can't attack and Entei is down. I think. That damned aura hasn't faded yet, so look sharp." He took several breaths during his sentences.
"Looks like you're the one that's down, Zero. Still, as much as I don't like to attack Pokémon that aren't able to fight back, it's for their own good." Voltage was walking to the front of the group. Lightning lit up his mane, the only warning issued regarding the discharge that shocked the two legendary adversaries. Entei's aura dropped sharply in intensity, reverting to a light mist that continuously flowed from him.
Suicune didn't have as calm a response. It reared up on its back legs, tearing most of the roots holding it and stretching the vines on its mouth. It tried to leap forward, but it was stopped by the vines. It huffed with anger.
Voltage turned, preparing to strike Suicune in order to subdue it. Ruby, who was playing defensively for the most part while staying mostly silent, looked nervously at the powerful water type. It glared at the luxray approaching it.
"What, you must want to do so-" Voltage's eyes shot wide open as Suicune's ribbons stiffened and pointed in specific directions. The ribbons glowed with a radiant array of colors as a soft blue light emitted from the ends.
Twin, rainbow-colored beams fired from the ends of them. Aurora beam.
Zero inhaled sharply as time took a break.
[Aurora beam from a legendary water type who's enraged. An ice attack like that...] Zero made up his mind.
Suicune was going to attack with an ice-type move. Ruby was a dragon-type who would take substantial damage to the super effective move. He needed to move fast. He didn't have the mental energy to make a precise protect, and he lacked the physical energy to make a protect big enough to neglect precision.
Off willpower alone, Zero rushed forward in a single lunge, landing in front of the Latias and raising his hand in front of him. A small protect appeared, arcing in a direction that faced himself. The bowl-shaped barrier captured the attack, successfully stopping it from hitting its intended target.
"Glave! No!" Voltage's voice yelled out.
There were no breaks in time for what came next. Its flow had no sympathy as the sight unfolded. Zero looked to his left, just in time to see purple energy dissolving off of the sceptile, who could no longer maintain mega evolution. There was an X shape across his chest from where he crossed his arms. It was the only place where fur and skin were visible, from him blocking with his arms. The rest of his body was a deep crimson, the color spilling onto the ground around him.
Zero's heart dropped. Glave's mega evolutionary typing was grass and dragon. A type matchup that left the owner susceptible to quadruple damage when targeted with ice attacks. He had defended the wrong ally.
-/-
"I-I don't have the strength to use any moves..." Zero said. His voice was breaking but he refused to elicit a sob. Ruby was trying to use heal pulse, but Glave's wounds weren't sealing. When the human tried to use his recover to heal the sceptile, his arm split open with a spray of blood. It had since slowed to a trickle, but it had been alarming.
There were two steaming marks on the ground. One was smaller and one had a crater along with it. Looking at them would betray the true damage dealt to the targets. Zero had finished off both Entei and Suicune. Entei wasn't hit directly, resulting in the attack tearing up what it did make contact with: the ground. Suicune had been hit head-on. Either way, both of them lost their aura and ran off without a word to their former opponents.
In truth, Zero was infuriated with Suicune for what it had done. It hurt his friend and ran off.
"Z-Zero... I need a word. A-alone ple-*cough*-please..." The sceptile could only muster ragged breaths.
There was a brief spark of an argument with his luxray companion, but Glave got his moment with the human.
"Zero... I hate your name... so much." He began, staring into the sky. "I know why you use it. You carry it because you think *cough* it perfectly resembles you. That it's all you are. That your worth is zero. Even the shape of the number. A container to be filled by Pokémon." His speech wasn't as clear as reading it. Every word was painful to watch the sceptile utter through his rasping and coughing. "But you're not a zero. You're so amazing. You never told me what all the humans you knew did to you, and... maybe I'm not supposed to know. But you've become such a brilliant person. You've met legendaries. You've saved so many Pokémon and made so many happy. Not that they have any idea that a human involved themselves with their affairs anyways. You never showed your face, not even once. Your selflessness is so admirable."
"Glave, stop. Yo-" Zero pressed his eyes shut and looked away. He couldn't bare seeing his closest friend talking like this in the condition he was in. He couldn't even feel his bio mods through the intensity of the situation. "You shouldn't waste breath on praise for me."
"I have a request for you." Glave coughed, his blood flow increasing as he did.
"What is it? I'll do it, no matter what."
"I know... that like your perception of your worth, your name is testimony to the fact that you have zero purpose in life."
"That's not-"
"Except for being a member of Team Luck. And we'd never have gotten this far without you. My home... Advent Town reveres us three for being the greatest. But you, Zero. You're stronger than all three of us Pokémon combined. So please, take up these final two missions I have to give you."
"Two?"
"That's right, Zero. The first. It's simple; protect Advent Town until the end of time. I doubt whoever is sending these Pokémon will send anymore after seeing legendaries get fought off, assuming they don't know the results of the battle. But when they do, be ready to protect this place."
"You have my word, Glave. I'll do-"
"And second." Glave coughed violently, and for a long time. "Sorry, that's probably gross. The second..." The sceptile's eyes started to waver; the struggle to keep them open was visible. "My legacy, Zero... get. It. Make it... yours."
The rest was a distinct blur. Distinct to the human, but it moved so fast. Zero never entered Advent Town's borders, but he helped place the body of his fallen companion onto Voltage's back. Somewhere down the line, the luxray shortened his name to Volt. Latios showed up after the battle to take his sister home. Zero had already healed her, but his trust was lost. Glave was gone, and the power of Team Luck had incredibly diminished. With only one known member remaining in Advent Town, the greatest rescue team known to the land was disbanded.
Volt was revered as far more of a worthy Pokémon than he was. The team's unknown member was who truly did most of the heavy work, matched only by the sceptile, Glave, who he'd grown tighter than a vice grip with.
So Zero wandered about the outer edges of the town's perimeter for the last three, four years, waiting for trouble to brew.
Zero sighed. Glave the grovyle was being examined by a loppuny named Cream. He caught wind that she was part of the new greatest team in town. She certainly looked it; many normal types struggle with their lack of native type advantages, but it looked like this one had dedicated herself to the different elemental punches. Glave took an ice punch to his crossed arms, sliding back, but not so much as bending a knee further than his primary fighting stance.
They were two weeks into training and everything was going great. He had learned about every grass move that Zero felt was worth learning.
The next and final goals were learning dragon breath and giga drain.
Glave was actually supposed to know giga drain already, or at least a wild grovyle with his experience would probably, but move learning was mostly situational. If the necessary circumstances for knowing a move were never applied to a Pokémon, it normally didn't learn the move. Glave simply never needed to heal.
Zero did a good job of changing that. He had increased the grovyle's resistance to all of his elemental weaknesses thus far, making him an incredibly valuable asset. His human companion secretly thought that the process would be much more desirable if his partner would evolve into a sceptile.
Glave did a backflip to dodge the thunder punch that weaved towards him. When he did, light seemed to gather inside him. When he landed, that light materialized into a blade on his hand, roughly extending his arm by a foot.
Cream straightened herself and peered inquisitively at the attack. All she could glean was that she didn't want to get hit by it. Unfortunately for her, she did.
The solar blade slashed across her thighs, which was roughly where a grovyle's arms reached without lifting them.
Since it wasn't an actual blade, there was no blood, but Cream felt like she already had bruises down there.
"Ah! Ok, ok, that's enough Glave! Ow, ow ow-" She wrapped her long ears around her thighs, pressing her hands over them against her upper legs. "Damn Glave, this hurts like a- mmph!" She groaned in pain before she could finish.
She looked over to where she had seen Zero last. He was already approaching.
When she turned to look at him, he had quickly glanced up just in time to not get caught looking somewhere else. She had a large rump, plump enough to where he casually took interest.
"I take it his progress is up to par?" He said when he got to the two.
"Can't you make me feel good first?" He paused upon hearing the loppuny's words. "I mean, heal me."
He brushed her ears out of the way and pressed his hands to her upper thighs. Green light spilled out from between them, and she moaned in relief.
"Awww that feels good. Yeah, Glave does good by my standards. Don't expect the fights with Azure and Violet to go like mine though. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to getting hurt. There are other things I'd rather be doing than getting beat up, y'know?" She looked at Zero, who was staring at her legs as he focused on his work.
"I was thinking, I kinda wanna know what you can do yourself~" Cream smiled at Zero. He could hear the seduction in her voice.
[Nice try, bunny. I won't be manipulated like that. But...]
"You mean a sparring match?" The human maintained an oblivious tone.
"Yeah, I think it'd be fun. I don't have to use any moves if you're scared of getting hurt, though." She smirked at the end.
"Use whatever you wish. I can promise you I'll only use one move."
"Cocky little shit!" She called out, jumping far back.
"Ditto," he replied, doing the same.
Glave just looked between the two, unsure of what to do. They barely even agreed to fight and all of a-
The two collided in the air above the grovyle. Finally, he chose to book it to the sidelines and spectate.
He was given a show to watch, alright. Cream rushed forward, each step forward its own bounce: incredibly quick at the start, and seeming floaty towards the end before repeating.
Zero was just running at her. When they met, Glave's eyes widened. The human's arms were longer and utilized this fact by gripping the loppuny's shoulders. They spun a few times before he landed on the ground in a sitting position.
He pulled her down with him. She landed in his lap, her legs straddling him. Wasting no time, he kissed her promptly on the lips.
"Mmm!" She tried to pull back, pushing on his shoulders. He had both hands on her back, however, and was pulling her towards his body.
Glave was still watching, and the sight made him feel strange. He couldn't take his eyes off the two. Silently, he wished he was making out with Cream, and by the look of the machamp guard, it appeared they did too. Instead of their usual stance with both sets of arms crossed, many now had one set crossed, and their two other hands clasped in front of their groins.
The loppunny's eyes began to close. When they did, she slumped forward.
"Told you I'd only need one move." Their lips had broken, and Zero stood, carrying his victim bridal style. She was unconscious.
"Wha-what did you do to her?" The grovyle who'd been watching was immensely confused.
"Draining kiss." Zero walked over to one of the machamp and handed her to him. He began to walk towards the town. "She can file your report when she awakes."

Glave looked more serious than ever. His personality had been molded throughout the first three weeks of training, seeing as Zero was his only companion. He wasn't cold, but there was something there that seemed different.
As of now, he stood mirroring Azure, Team Ultima's gardevoir. She was the third test of the month, and the final would be Violet the delphox.
"Shall we?" Azure asked her opponent.
Glave only nodded in response. His gardevoir sparring partner raised her hand out straight in front of her. A flame burst to life, and in a moment's notice, there was a straight beam of fire blazing towards the grass type.
[Damn- always with these fire moves!] It was true that Glave was often frustrated by the constant use of super-effective moves, but he knew it was logical.
Vines penetrated the ground, rising and binding the gardevoir's ankles. She ignored them, continuing her attack. Glave was going to rush forward and slide under the flamethrower, but it reached its peak length as he approached and the flames fanned out.
He crossed his arms over his face as to avoid getting burned while he jumped out of the fire. He spun, letting off four razor leaves. They arced through the air, all coming to a trajectory that would land on the intended target.
Azure eyed them as they approached, jumping nimbly when they got to a certain point. They all crashed into the ground, leaving small cuts in it.
[How did she?] Glave saw his vines laying on the ground. Azure had just slipped out of them?
The grovyle charged two energy balls and launched one where she was going to land.
The move protect appeared in its classic barrier form in the attack's path. When it collided, smoke and dust were flung up, blocking her from view.
Glave's body began lifting into the air. He turned his head in alarm to see Azure with her arm pointed toward him. Zero seldom used teleport during combat, so he had instinctively assumed this would be similar.
[Fair enough... He CAN do anything, but even he has his own style. Other Pokémon won't behave like him.] Just then, his thoughts were interrupted as he was flung high into the air. His second, unused energy ball had vanished when he was caught off guard.
He wasn't necessarily worried about the height; he could recover with his vines once he got in range with the ground. Having been said, being above the trees around him intimidated him nonetheless.
Vines shot out of the ground as Glave began his descent. "C'mon," he thought aloud.
To his dismay, they were all severed at about half of their length right when he grabbed one. He yelped, but reacted quickly. Spinning while he fell, bullet seed flew all across the battlefield, pelting Azure several times.
The spiteful attack did nothing to slow him though, and the smaller Pokémon slammed into the ground.
Not waiting for the dust to clear, Azure swung her arm through the air, ice beam arcing through the point of impact between the grovyle and the earth beneath him.
While she was waiting for the dust to clear, she was flung into the air. She whipped around with an intense look on her face. The look was reciprocated by her enemy, as she was struck with what appeared to be an extension of his arm composed of light.
[That human taught him that? How pesky- I'm glad I won't have to fight these two.] Her thoughts were calm, but her body ached.
As a gardevoir, her defense wasn't great. Physical attacks were nothing short of annoying, especially ones revered for their power such as solar blade.
The two Pokémon continued ascending, and an energy ball appeared in front of the grovyle's mouth.
"I don't think so!" Azure grabbed her arm to steady it while she fired off twin beams of fire and ice. To her dismay, Glave didn't meet the attack with a ball, but rather a beam. The energy ball shot at her, taking the form of an attack similar to water gun.
Facing two attacks of advantageous nature, Glave's makeshift move didn't stand a chance in pushing them back. The collision resulted in a mutual blow, with Azure's twin beams splitting the grovyle's into four separate beams, all curving to hit her. It wasn't a total win; the fire and ice split all the way down his energy beam, slamming the interior of his mouth.
She was flung higher into the air, while he hit the ground yet again. He stood slowly, while sunlight collected inside his body.
Azure panted as she used her psychic powers to transform her fall into a gentle float to the ground.
"Sorry Glave, but I'm getting a little tired of this. Don't worry, I'll still give you a good REPORT!" Her voice strained towards the end with the effort she exerted.
The gardevoir conjured electricity, flames, and ice around her arm. It wasn't tri attack, either. Leaves floated all around her, spinning slowly. She launched her all-out attack at the grovyle before her. Thunderbolt, ice beam, and flamethrower each competed in the air to be the first to decimate their target. Magical leaf was used to cover the space all around, providing coverage for if the nimble grass type attempted to dodge.
"That's fine. I'd rather you have something to show them!" He launched solar beam. It was concentrated into a width that just perfectly fit between her three main attacks, brushing them on the inside but not hitting them directly. His move split hers, sending thunderbolt and ice beam into the ground, and flamethrower rising into the air before the flames fanned out. Magical leaf flew all around him, leaves carving into the ground around him and slicing through the air near him. She hadn't intended to hit him unless he dodged, after all.
Once solar beam got to the base of her attacks, it had picked up enough momentum to crash through it's rivaling forces, overwhelming the gardevoir. She flew back through the air, landing and rolling in the dirt.
Azure got to all fours and swallowed some blood she felt pooling in her mouth. She stood, and shook her head at Glave.
"That's enough," she told him through heavy breathing.
All of Team Ultima had held back on him thus far, and it resulted in them getting pushed to limits that misled their true strength. It was the reason Glave was never cocky after beating one of them, like he did with Cream.
Zero began walking towards her as per usual.
"Stay back! I can use recover myself, thank you." Her tone was exceedingly short. It was clear to Zero that she was one of the Pokémon that was either apprehensive or just resistant to humans in general.
"Right."
Azure stood after healing her damage.
"That'll do, Glave. I'll report the results of your training to the Mayor."
Glave lay on the ground. Flames were burning on his shoulders and left knee. He couldn't be bothered removing them.
"I take it this means the fight is over?" Violet asked as she got closer to him.
He said nothing. He had hit her a good few times but she barely winced when he did. As for him, she'd blasted him with every fire-type move in the book, bathing the field in flames at times. He'd used dig to dodge it, but she could locate the hole and wash the whole path with fire.
[I... I hurt. These flames are one thing, but... the very last test and I get absolutely destroyed.] Self-pity ruled the grovyle's heart.
Violet pointed her stick at his body and all of the flames jumped from his body to it.
"You ARE alive, aren't you?"
"Yes. I am." Glave sounded and felt dejected.
"Well then, I'll be sure to report back."
Violet turned and began walking away.
"This is it, Glave."
The Pokémon looked at the new speaker.
"Zero..."
"You've essentially completed your training. Starting tomorrow, we'll be established as a rescue team. That includes the responsibilities of an exploration team in our case." He spoke with clarity.
"Heal me, Zero."
The human nodded, knelt, and put his hands on his grassy companion. When the familiar green light faded, Glave sat up.
"Now, I have to ask you. Spar with me, Zero."
"You just finished one battle. Are you certain?"
The battle began nonetheless. For the final time, the two soon-to-be partners mirrored each other's positions on the battlefield.
Energy collected around both of them. Soon after, they broke into a run. Solar blade met solar blade and Glave's cracked. The human grabbed his wrist and threw him into the air. The grovyle reached the peak of his ascent and began floating. He felt his body being controlled by psychic.
Zero held up his hand, and thunder rained down from the sky and slammed his opponent's back. Just before contact, he released psychic and the force of the attack brought on a fast descent to the earth below.
Gritting his teeth, Glave crossed his arms in a way that left both palms facing the ground and summoned two energy balls. He smacked the ground with a loud thud, but the energy balls sent dirt and dust flying high into the air.
Zero knelt and touched the ground, causing a blue square to appear under his feet. He stood up straight and crossed his arms. He felt a thud beneath him.
"Ngh- what?" Glave looked at the barrier above him, seeing Zero look back at him through the translucent defense.
"Better get moving," Zero told him as he snapped his fingers. An explosion went off at the hole where Glave entered the ground and the two looked at each other with contrasting expressions of calm and concern. Smoke soon enveloped Glave.
Through the smoke, light spilled through the barrier. Zero hopped off and an intense beam of energy shattered through it. The grovyle hopped out and dusted himself off.
"It's a good thing that move doesn't block sunlight," Glave sighed as he looked at his adversary. He hadn't 'beaten' him once throughout the entirety of his training and this was the last day. He wasn't really sure what he was expecting, but for what it was worth he had always been the best of the best among the other Pokémon in Advent Town, or at least among the younger ones. Five years of age was considered what humans would think of as a "legal adult" among Pokémon. The primary exception to this was if a Pokémon reached their second stage evolution before the age of five, like in Glave's case.
His fifth birthday wouldn't be for about a month and a half. Cindy's...
[It'll be sometime this week, I think.] Glave was lost in his thoughts. [Man... I wonder if she'll forgive me for what happened before I left. That was so unlike me. Then again, a month ago my entire world practically cha-]
"Don't you ignore ME!" Zero yelled as he bit Glave's neck, simultaneously grabbing both shoulders. Fire blast was generated from all three spots, and the resulting explosion sent Glave into a tree far past the edge of the field.
"Ah- ow... Damn, did I really deserve that? No, I know I did," Glave completed the thought out loud whilst shaking his head. He had gotten distracted just because he was sparring with an ally. If he had done that in the field, it could have been the end. Not that three fire blasts from Zero didn't feel like the end already.
Zero jogged over to his defeated pupil. When he stopped, Glave noticed the human had a hand behind his head. It looked like a casual stance, but the grovyle had come to notice that after a fight, Zero would grip the back of his head. The slight distortions in his hair's normal position gave it away. It was a clear tell that his biological modifications were calling for him to put his reproductive system to work. Glave was curious about sex. The Cindy in his dream from a month ago had been right about one thing; his hormones were active now that he was an evolved Pokémon. He always thought about the subject after his training with Zero because it often ended with this same stance before he disappeared into the wild.
Glave knew what Zero was doing out there. Sometimes he wondered what kind of Pokémon the human was... well, relieving himself with. Their relationship just didn't include sexual topics. That didn't stop him from wondering if Zero had wanted something more a few weeks back when he made out with Cream. The grass-type knew he himself did.
"I'd reprimand you, but I think you know what I'd say," Zero told Glave as he used recover on him.
"Random question, but how do you heal other Pokémon?"
"Like this?" It wasn't really a question, but a sarcastic statement.
"I mean with recover. It's a move that heals oneself. How do you heal others with it?"
"Kinda like how I taught you that water gun was basically hydro pump. If you can heal yourself, you can just apply it to others. It's the same process, really."
"I see... So, are you gonna go..." Glave trailed off and looked at Zero. He waited to see the human's reactions.
"Am I going to go what?" The question was knowing, but genuine at the same time. It was a challenge; if Glave wanted the answer he'd have to bring himself to ask the full question.
"You know what I mean. Are you gonna go into the wild and... Well, are you gonna do it or what?"
It always felt so awkward talking to Zero about unofficial things, and this was the peak. Technically, the point of the last month was to also bring the two closer since they'd be partners alongside Cerulean the Lucario.
Zero met his gaze with a straight face.
"Am I going to do what in the wild?"
Glave swallowed. It just felt so awkward.
"Uh, nothing. So, what am I supposed to do now?"
"Wait until I get back. Some things need discussing."
Glave smiled as he saw the opportunity to strike at Zero for once.
"Wait until you get back from what?" He smiled at the human. Zero had just started walking but stopped in his tracks. He looked back at the grassy lizard and smiled.
"If you want to know that bad, I can tell you all about it when I get back."
Glave's face flushed. It wasn't blushing; he was completely straight and he assumed Zero to be as well.
"This should be the last time I need your permission. May I?" Zero asked the nearest machamp guard when he got in earshot. His only response was a nod. Zero disappeared in an instant.
[This last month... My bio mods have gone off every day. I think I've started to build a resistance to these.] Zero was walking calmly through the forest. He'd only let his 'instincts' take over when he felt it was necessary, granted that was essentially when he found a suitable mate.
He stood still and closed his eyes. Aura flared up around him, visible to no one but the eyes of a well-trained member of the lucario family. He scanned the forest for life forms within roughly a mile.
[Got one. Eevee family, no less.] He teleported near his target.
Once he had successfully transported himself, he let his aura locate the Pokémon. He walked slowly as to not alert it. He'd rather identify the target before it knew he was there. That wouldn't take long, given he was closing in fast.
Finally, he got close enough to hear it. Moans were coming from the direction that his aura was leading him.
[Stop lounging around and GO GET IT!] A part of him was screaming for him to find whatever was making those intoxicating sounds and ravage her the way he'd done so many others. He paused, giving himself time to calm his mind.
Finally, he pressed his back against a tree and peered around it. When he saw the target, he let out a noise of surprise.
Laying on her back, pushing two feelers in and out of herself, was a sylveon, covered in blue where there should have been pink. She gasped at the sound he'd made and looked around. She didn't even stop playing with herself.
Zero made himself known. He walked out from behind the tree.
"Hmm? Oh wow- it's you!" She looked at him with wide eyes. It should have been world-changing information to see one of his kind. Zero had almost infinite combat experience and was acquainted with multiple legendaries. Even still, he was put off guard when the feline before him kept pushing her feelers into her pussy, her only reaction being to look at him.
"It is me. But what does that mean to you?" He asked her curiously.
[Well, why don't you go SHOW HER WHAT IT MEANS!?] He neglected his inner voice.
"What? Oh, you fucked my sister not too long ago!" The sylveon spoke cheerfully.
"If I did have sex with her, I can only assume it was rather one-sided. You don't sound very upset," he replied. The situation was foreign to him.
"Upset? She told me the other day that she had this magical experience where a human, which is supposed to be extinct, mind you, pinned her down and screwed her silly the way our kind SHOULD do."
Zero pondered for a moment. [How could that be? I guess I've seen situations where females present themselves to me once the action is over. I never thought about it, but... if they're wild, does that mean they're used to getting it rough?]
"So I didn't hurt her? That's the impression I always get."
"You ALWAYS get? Ooh~ sounds like you're a bit of a naughty boy," she answered with a mischievous grin, "you make it out like you have a good bit of experience with girls."
"I don't usually tell my targets, but if you must know, there were alterations made to my brain. If I exert large amounts of force, I instinctively have to... There are sexual urges that dominate my mind."
"Did you say target?" She finally stopped masturbating.
[Shit- look what you did! Now GET HER!] Zero suppressed a growl and prepared to leap. When he bent his knees, a whirlwind projected from his body. He caught himself and stood up straight.
"It's not easy to do away with that stuff. Actually, what you're seeing is the peak of my progress when it comes to resisting the voice telling me to rut you out here and now~" His voice twisted unexpectedly at the end. He gasped when he heard it himself. "Yes, I did say target. I teleported here because I located you and determined you would be how I relieved myself.
"Oh, I see." She replied, resuming the movement of her feelers within her vagina.
"What...?" Zero asked himself more than her.
"You see my beautiful blue fur, right?"
"Yeah, I do. You're shiny."
"Tee hee, that's right! I'm shiny. Don't you think it'd be super cool if the entire eevee family population was nothing but shinies!?" She asked excitedly.
"I think that if that happened, shiny and original would flip."
"Original?" Once again, she froze the feelers' movements. "That's the first time," she began, her voice sounding completely different, "that anyone has said something like that. 'Original.' Not, 'normal,' or 'ordinary,' but original."
"It's a word. What, you like it?" Zero asked skeptically.
"You didn't come after me for my rarity?"
Zero's mind screamed in his ear. Metaphorically.
"I came after you for your vagina." He sounded cocky. He was overly grateful that his control lasted him this long. He wished to continue speaking with her, but he knew good and well that the time for talking was coming to a close.
"Hmph~ As I was saying, it'd be nice if everyone in my family was shiny. So, I wanna make that happen!"
"And how, pray tell, will you do that?"
"Babies, dummy!"
His erection summoned almost as fast as the Mangekyo when he called for it.
"If I have a bunch of cute, shiny kiddos that grow up and get their own mojo on~ then eventually this place will be filled with shinies!" She sounded like an air-headed teenage human to Zero. But she talked with sincerity.
"You're playing with yourself..."
"That's right." She smiled lustfully at him, "I'm training myself for all the dick I'll have to take. But I think better training just walked right up to me~"
There was a feeling similar to popping his neck in Zero's brain. He fell to all fours but resisted pouncing. He crawled over to her slowly. Finally, his head was over her lower half.
Letting out a giggle, the sylveon retracted her feelers. One had been entering from directly above her entrance, so it'd been covering the view of her precious spot the whole time.
Zero took a sharp breath.
"This is-" The sylveon giggled even more at his response.
"You like it, I take it? If so, I think I like you even more~!"
Zero's eyes were trained onto her vulva. She took her feelers and spread her lips open for his viewing. Her lips and inner vagina were the same blue that composed the fur on her head. It might not have sounded like much to other people, but Zero had only ever done it with Pokémon. Every last one of them had a pink vagina.
[What is this? It's a color. It's just a color.] Zero tried using logic to break the effect that her pussy had on him.
It failed.
She started to say something, but he didn't hear her. He clamped his mouth down on her pussy and sucked hard. He ran his tongue across the center roughly, pushing her lips aside and bringing the tip to her clit. He rolled his tongue around it, to which she moaned lightly.
"Is that all you can do?" Through moans, the sylveon jabbed at him.
[What the fuck?] Zero was insulted. Or rather, the voice that controlled him when he rutted girls out was.
He growled and sucked harder, pushing his tongue into her entrance. Inside, static bounced around his teeth and tongue until it hit her vulva. She gasped, wrapping her feelers around his throat.
"You think you can control this situation? Then you'll have to work for it~"
Not reacting to the constriction on his throat, he pulled off her nether region and grabbed her sides. She let out a surprised gasp. There was a thud and she yelped in pain. Grunting in confusion, Zero looked down. There was a small wet stain on the crotch of his shorts, roughly 3 inches away from her wet entrance.
She busted out laughing at the human's horny fumble. The laugh was cut short when his lower body was exposed in an instant, leaving only his shirt.
"I- you just- where-" The sylveon was shocked.
"Stop- talking." Zero grabbed her throat and her whole body stiffened. He was imagining the effect that would have on her lower interior.
Seven inches was close to average for eevee family males, although the mostly uniform shape of human males' reproductive organs wasn't present in the feline bloodline. Normally, the tip and a few inches under it were somewhat slender, while the base thickened almost twofold.
Zero's shiny prey finally noticed her feelers had fallen from his neck. She squinted and tried to lift them. No good.
[I... I can't move? What the fuck, is this paralysis!?] Her blood ran cold, only to boil soon after. [Oh. My. Gosh. He said he teleported here. He revealed that dick he STILL hasn't put in in an instance. That shock to my pussy, and the way my body is stiff... What the hell is-]
"You're thinking too loud." Rough as his speech was, Zero felt marginal pride for the fact that he could talk at all. Normally carnal lust had him doggy styling anything with a vagina by now. He decided it was time for that part now.
As per usual, vines came out of the ground. She looked at them in wonder.
"I knew-" One wrapped around her tongue and slowly snaked to the back of her mouth.
Finally, he lined up his tip with her entrance. He pushed it in, then froze. Pulling it out, he gripped her chin and looked her into the eyes.
"Beg."
Taking the bait, the beautiful feline under him tried to beg, but when she opened her mouth to speak the vine around her tongue shot into the open airway. She gagged, only from being caught off guard. Zero smirked. He showed that bitch who was in control.
Taking hold of her sides, he shifted his hips and manually positioned his cock towards her entrance. He rammed forward, gasping in surprise when he pushed her cervix back a little. Six and three-fourths inches. That was the depth of her vagina before her cervix acted as a welcome matt to the womb. He was stunned momentarily as logic prevailed in his mind. That was a tiny vaginal cavity for-
[Shut the FUCK UP!] His logic was cut short when he began cursing himself out internally.
His eyes glossed over as he gave up total control. To his brain's relief, his body was now thrusting into the cute fox Pokémon under, carelessly bumping into her cervix at the end of every motion. He really wanted nothing more than to push his tip just past the internal opening and spray his cum directly into the womb, but neither he nor she was close to climax yet.
Continuing his movements, he bent forward, arching his back outwards slightly. He grabbed the vine that rested in the entrance to her throat and yanked it out. She coughed a little at the sudden change, taking a few deep breaths before her lips were connected with the human's. Her eyes widened; kisses to her were a romantic thing, but they seemed to fuel his sex drive.
He pushed his tongue forcefully past her lips, pushing it against her's a few times before she finally pushed back. Occasionally, he'd suck some of her saliva into his own mouth, although he wasn't deliberately trying to push his.
She whimpered when he got distracted and slowed his thrusts, but he gave her a huge ram when he realized. The thrust pushed the farthest point of the tip barely past the barrier he'd constantly been battling.
He pulled off her mouth forcefully, the suction bringing her tongue to flop on the side of her mouth. Now that he knew it was possible, he wasn't stopping; he gripped her sides and started banging his hips against her rear. The ends of his thrusts were long, as he was trying to get his cock to poke into her womb. Eventually, he held her against his body with the head of his cock displacing the tight obstacle a tad. He kept holding her until a sinking feeling at the end of his cock brought him more pleasure than the rest of her pussy.
About half an inch of his cock had sunk into her deepest part, and he sighed while he held her there. On the other hand, she was breathing deeply, trying to suppress the painful noises that her instincts were begging her to make. He tried another thrust, albeit it was unsuccessful since he was pressed as hard against her as he could be. He pulled back slowly, letting her cervix pull slightly back when his tip tried to exit it. He rammed her once more, pushing into the small circular entrance once more.
Before long, every back and forth motion ended with this entrance. He moved one hand so that his thumb rested over her clit, consistently rubbing it when his body pushed hers. His other hand was on her chest, slightly pressing down and towards him to keep her from moving away from him.
Zero's breaths were barely heavy, but the feline at his mercy was panting desperately for air. Her head was laying on one side and she was weakly gazing at him from the corners of her eyes. He took his hand off her clit and put his thumb in her mouth. She accepted at first, then recoiled when she felt the moisture on it. Once used to it, she sucked it lightly. The sight was spectacular for the human giving her the works; she was the embodiment of prey at that moment and on a side note there was something cute to him about the small size of her mouth.
He pulled himself out of her cunt. She lifted her head and began to whine until he grabbed her just under her front legs and picked her up. He stood and began walking towards a tree, to which she kicked her feet. He set her down at the base of said tree and a stone rose out of the ground under her, raising her. She didn't sit normally, instead, her back was against the tree and her front paws were pressed against his thighs. He placed both hands on its trunk and moved his hips forward, positioning the tip of his member at the same level as her mouth.
She opened it and he slid it in slowly. Her mouth was small enough to where there was no avoiding her teeth lightly touching him, and he knew his rough nature could cause damage. He used harden, not that she knew, and thrust into her mouth, nailing the back of her throat. She didn't gag, but she wasn't expecting it either, so she didn't deepthroat him at first. When he pushed in again, his cock slid down her throat and was filled with a pleasure that Zero seldomly got to feel. He slid it in and out of her throat, always keeping her mouth full of his organ.
Her nature kicked in, and she felt playfully irritated that she was being dominated the way she was. She began bobbing her, pushing his cock further into her throat than he had been going. He growled and contested her act by raising a vine and pushing it into her exposed pussy, allowing two more to spread her bottom legs for easier access.
She whimpered and smiled, resulting in the blowjob becoming sloppier than the feral human's movements already made it. He grabbed both sides of her head while the final vine snuck out of the ground, displacing some leaves as it rose. With sudden speed and force, it broke through the stone that elevated the sylveon. Her eyes widened in surprise when her left side sank some, but that surprise went up exponentially when the vine broke through and entered her only unoccupied hole.
Instinctively, the shiny Pokémon tried to call out in surprise. Zero slammed himself into her, hilting his cock in her mouth and firing his semen directly into her stomach. He pumped himself into her a few more times, more spurts exiting his reproductive system and entering her digestive system with each one. When they slowed, he pulled out, allowing the tip of his semi-flaccid member to rest on her tongue as enjoyed the sight of a small trail of cum on her tongue in her exhausted mouth.
He looked down to see her pussy had forced the vine out, making way for her female juices to drip off the edge of the rock. He patted her cunny a few times, out of pity for her rather than his desire, which caused another small wave to pulse out of her and make its own small trickle to the ground.
New clothes appeared on him. Black shorts with sharp yellow lines for the pattern and a matching jacket with a white t-shirt underneath the unzipped article. He eyed the body of his partner as she gasped her air.
He turned to walk away.
"Wai... Wait, you- you're leaving?" Called the Pokémon behind him. Her voice sounded tired and sad.
"Yes, I am. I have things to attend to. And you have your own goals you wish to fulfill."
"You're talking... so weird." She began speaking with more strength. "But whatever to that. You said this kinda thing happens whenever you use effort right? I'm guessing that has to do with the vines and the stunning stuff."
"All of that is correct."
"You can come back. Not here, I mean. There's a hot spring nearby I can sho-"
"I know the entirety of the landscape around this area and far beyond it. Why?"
"Sheesh, I would have told you if you weren't so impatient." She spoke with a pout and an offended tone, "So basically, my whole family gets together and bathes in that hot spring at night. We're all tough little bitches, so no one bothers us. Whenever you need to let off some steam, you can find us if your dick doesn't find someone else for you." She smirked.
"Thanks for the offer, but I don't plan ahead for this stuff. Not to mention, I only target wild Pokémon and you speak perfectly, implying that both you and your family aren't." He began walking.
"Nu-uh! I'm the only one that can talk like this, aside from Momma. I had a trainer before so it made sense."
Zero stopped in his tracks, ice filling his veins. He looked over her shoulder with a gaze sharper than the Mangekyo, rewarding him a yelp from the fox girl.
"Uhh, besides, you, uh, already nailed my sis, so I think coming back for the rest of us is fair game." She got quieter with every word.
"I'll think about it," was his response, before he vanished before her eyes. He might have left abruptly, but the change in his answer sounded like she'd sown the seed of success.
"Glave," Zero called as he approached the hut for the final time. The grovyle jumped out of his skin and turned to look at Zero.
"Oh, it's just you... Don't do that!"
"Caught you in your thoughts? They must've been good ones." Zero smiled. Whether he was being sarcastic or not was unknown. "The month has been expended. We need to report to the mayor."
So, they did.
"I've been waiting a month to submit this report to the rescue federation. Just on a side note, you're aware that rescue and exploration teams have become one and the same in recent years, correct?"
Zero was the one to respond, "Sir, I personally accompanied Team Luck, who did little actual rescuing, and I briefed Glave on most of the information I have. Cerulean has been in the city this whole time, so I believe it's safe to assume that we're all aware."
His wording was short, but the formal tone he took on passed his statements on informatively rather than offensively.
Zero looked to his right at Cerulean, who nodded in confirmation.
"Still satisfied with the name Team Fate?" The Mayor asked.
"That's correct," Zero told the dragonite.
"Zero, you'll be assigned as team leader. Glave, Cerulean, don't think this puts him any higher than you two, this merely means that his choices on missions are final." The ex officio leader of Advent Town told them.
"Having been said, a week has been assigned to you three in which you'll remain in the town before taking on your first mission."
Glave furrowed his brow and faced Zero, only to see him and Cerulean seemed to be aware of it.
"Is that all?"
"For now. I'll see you in a week with your badges," the dragonite smiled fondly at them.
"A week before we can take on a mission? What's that all about?" Glave questioned his human companion. It was getting late, and the sun was beginning to set over the town's walls in the west.
"I'll be blunt about this. Anything can happen on missions."
"Yeah, I know that! That's what the whole last month has been for, after all."
"ANYTHING, Glave." Zero faced him with a serious expression.
"Ok... what are you thinking specifically?"
"In dungeons, there are likely to be many different kinds of Pokémon, including ones with exceedingly high levels of sexual urges. This particularly applies to powerful females in heat."
"Uh- ...Oh. Ok. So, what's this week for then?"
"You're a second stage evolution and your fifth birthday isn't crazy far away. This would sound awkward coming from anyone, but I can say anything with a straight face. First times are special, Glave." Zero stopped and knelt down to be closer to the grovyle's height. They were on their way to the tourist district; they'd be occupying a house there for a while.
"...What are you saying?"
"This week is to give you time to lose your virginity is what I'm saying."
Glave would have appeared beet red if not for his green fur.
"Oh." He said timidly.
"It's up to you who it's with, and I won't laugh if you fail to get with someone or if you wish to avoid this, but losing a first time to a wild Pokémon you don't know is... It isn't desirable." The two shared a look. Zero spoke calmly and his eyes didn't so much as flicker. Even still, Glave had to assume that he was speaking from experience.
"I don't even know who-"
"Don't stress over it. If it happens, it happens."
Glave slowly nodded at him. The two turned towards the road and resumed walking.
