The palace was in a buzz as the invaders searched from room to room for anyone who was left behind .

The leader made his way to the throne room .

The room was dark and cold ,as the wall of fire that brought life to the room had long burnt out .

On top of the platform stood the throne with an ominous feel to it , but this did not discourage the man as he took slow, purposeful steps towards it .

The seat itself felt colder and bigger than it looked as he took his seat , a wide grin graced his face.

This is what he worked for and everything they had to do to get here was worth it, he will not regret any of the decisions he made and if the other nations won't agree and support him then war will be his reply , this was worth it .

The throne room doors were thrown open with a loud bang,the sound echoed in the large room as one of his men made his way into the room .

''Sorry to disturb sir…but …. Fungal and his men were found dead ,and we have yet to hear from xiao and his men?''

''what do you mean found dead ? were they attacked ?''

''we don't know sir but they were all piled together on the side of the road were ,we suspected her to be hiding ''

''do we know if they were successful with their mission .?''

''yes..sir …among them was a body of a girl. She was badly disfigured. We couldn't tell by her face but she wore red and had the same build as the princess . We have reason to believe they managed to capture her but might have gotten attacked on the road and she and the men were crushed by rocks .

They knew that something didn't seem right about the whole situation with her but they let it fall to fate as they thought if they got this far then the spirits are in their favor and agree with what they are doing with that in mind .

The man upon the throne set orders as he was eager to rule .

News about the death of fire lord iron was spreaed faster than a wild fire , the fact that it was a coup d¨etat and a murderer was soon to be the new fire lord was ignored by everyone outside the fire nations.

As the new dawn came to light the Fire Nation was being ruled by a man who came like the wind and swept everything from the people's homes .

everything changed. The citizens woke up to the news about their beloved firelord and could not believe how their once great nation was brought to its knees .

They knew that their firelord was murdered .

Many cast their eyes to the ground and sealed their lips tight as they attended the false funeral that was being held by the firelordś murderer .

What was the man thinking that if he showed respect to the man he murdered the citizens would accept him .

The mourning period lasted a whole mare three days before the eager murder was done playing fake empathy and decided to enforce his presence on the citizens .

The news of the new ruler in the Fire Nation went ignored by the Earth kingdom as the scars were too fresh, from town to cities pleas and cries of the Fire Nation citizens was once again ignored as many still hated the nation and thought they deserved to be colonised as they turned a blind eye to what was happening there.

As time went on the small resistance groups formed to take down the false Firelord and his council and one by one they all fell .

There was still hope in the eyes of the Fire Nation citizens , their honor wouldn't let them give up and let a man who was not born from fire and knew nothing about their customs rule them .

Tales of the forgotten prince and lost princess become things of fairy-tales ,as weeks turned into months and no help was insight ,bedtime stories to keep the fire burning in the hearts of young youths so that they had something to rise with other than the sun .

The invasion of the Fire Nation as it became to be known ,was one for the history books as there customs ,laws and rights of the natives were stripped from there land.

The changes started small like the registration of all female fire nation citizens ,since they didn't ask the men to register they did not think too much on it .

the girls were sent to the new school for Fire Nation girls as they called it once they reached marriage aga,what they taught them there only Angi knows as their lips were sealed off once the first group of girls came back they would not speak of what was taught nor done to them .many had ideas of what was done but were too fearful to voice them out ,not because of the new guards that patrolled the streets sunrise to sunset but the fear of how the thought was too cruel to even voice out .

then came the changing of the capital city's name to *HuoJing as if it couldn't be more obvious .

Then came the separation of Fire Nation natives as they came to be known by were cast away from the messes of others ,all Fire Nation citizens were to live in the outskirts of the city and there were to carry with them identification cards with information about everything about them and their family .

The removal of the FireNation insignia from the flags ,clothes and all official documents was the last tether of their identity to be taken from them ,replaced by some mediocre circles of rings .

they nor longer belonged anywhere they became the people without a past, a land without a home .

maybe this was Angis doing as punishment for the hundred years war they waged onto the world .

*HuoJing means burnout or fireout
