In the Shadows
The creature was hiding in the shadows. One would easily pass it without knowing it was there unless they were hunting for it. Luckily for the young woman walking down the sidewalk in the evening twilight, someone was hunting for it.
The Winchester's were in their own hiding spot, parked in the dark Impala a few feet from the location that Sam had researched the creature would be waiting in.
Dean noticed some movement and, ever the shoot first and ask questions later type, there was a soft click of the safety being removed and then the creature was dispatched to purgatory with only a minor bang as the bullet torn through.
"Chalk one up for the good guys, Sammy," Dean said as he climbed back into the car.
"Sure, Dean. Although don't get used to it; it's never that easy," Sam said and packed his laptop away.
