Greetings and welcome, one and all, to the latest chapter of my story. Sorry it took so long to get this one out, but I have an explanation. It was a combination of real life getting in my way, and that I had to write a one shot for someone in order to fulfil my end of a promise I made some time ago. If any of you are fans of Super Smash Brothers, you should check it out. It's on my userpage.
In any case, I don't see myself having to do anything like that again in the near future, or the future in general for that matter, so there should be nothing distracting me from writing this story until it is finished. And now it's time to get a step closer to that finish. So let us dive in.
As I stated in my first chapter, this story was inspired by a story with a similar name written by an author named 369destroyer. I decided to unofficially reboot it with my own ideas added. I did this under the assumption that the original author left fanfiction years ago. Well, I was wrong. The original author is apparently writing again. And apparently, he/she plans to reboot the story themselves. As of yet, I have not had contact with the original author, but my statement from the first chapter still stands. If 369destroyer does contact me over this story, I will gladly work out an arrangement with them. If it results in me having to delete this story, then so be it. I hope it doesn't come to that, but you never know. We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds.
Eris: Glad you liked the chapter, and here's the next one for you. As for if the team will meet Jimmy Neutron, that's for me to know and you to find out.
Let's get this show on the road.

It was the crack of dawn in Townsville. All the residents of the newly opened Titans Tower were still sleeping. All, that is, except for one pink haired, cat eyed Titan. And she was about to make sure the others were just as awake as she was.
With the push of a button, an alarm went off around the tower, waking all the newly formed Titans from their slumber. All of them looked around in confusion but only saw empty bedrooms around them. Since they had only arrived the day before, none of them had yet had time to decorate their bedrooms. The sole exception to this, however, was Blossom's bedroom.
She had decorated her room while the rest of the tower was being built around her. She had painted the walls the same shade of pink as her old bedroom in Professor Utonium's house. She even brought over her old bed and all the furniture and fixings, right down to all of Bubbles' stuffed animals, from her old bedroom to this new one. In the end, it looked almost identical to her old bedroom. The only noticeable differences were that instead of three small circular windows, there was a single large rectangular window overlooking Townsville, and that instead of a normal door with a handle, there was an electric sliding door, similar to the rest of the doors in the tower. Blossom did this in the hopes that her sisters would be found sooner rather than later, and that they would have a small sense of familiarity in their new home.
The new Titans groggily walked out of their bedrooms into the hallway of the tower.
"What's going on?" Danny groaned.
"You got me, man. I have no idea who tripped the alarm this early." Jake replied.
"I did. It's time for all of you to get up and begin your training exercises." Jinx responded, having stepped into the hallway.
"Really? This early? I don't think my batteries have fully recharged." Jenny stated.
"I don't think any of our batteries are fully recharged." Danny said while rubbing his eyes.
"They're charged enough. Now get dressed and… Wait, where's El Tigre?" Jinx asked.
The other Titans looked around and noticed that their Mexican friend was nowhere to be seen. He had decided to crawl back into bed rather than try to stay awake this early in the morning.
"He might have gone back to bed." Blossom suggested.
"Can't say I blame him." Jake mumbled.
Jinx proceeded to storm over to the boy's bedroom, open the door and enter the room, with the rest of the team coming in behind her. Sure enough, Manny was still in bed, his eyes shut.
"Hey! Didn't you hear the alarm?! What if this had been a real emergency? You want to let your teammates down by sleeping the day away?! Now get up and get ready for training!" Jinx yelled.
Manny muttered something that vaguely sounded like 'five more minutes'. Rather than wait for him to get up, Jinx took matters into her own hands. Her eyes began to glow as she activated her powers. One of her signature hexes appeared under Manny's bed. The hex proceeded to fling the bed into the ceiling before crashing back down, its occupant now wide awake due to the impact.
"Alright! Alright! I'm up! Jeez, what was that for?!" Manny yelled.
"To teach you to listen to orders, or else. Alright, everyone. Get dressed and eat breakfast. I want you on the roof in 30 minutes. Don't keep me waiting." Jinx instructed before walking towards the roof.
The team decided against testing Jinx any further and did as instructed. After changing into their proper clothes and getting some food in their guts, they made their way to the top of the tower, where Jinx was waiting for them.
"Welcome to Titan Training 101. We start now, and we won't stop until I am satisfied. First things first, suit up for hero work." Jinx ordered.
At that, Danny, Jake, and Manny turned into their superhero personas and got into a battle-ready stance. Blossom and Jenny also got ready for battle. Jinx also looked ready for battle.
"First lesson: Your enemy won't always play fair. I know I didn't when I was with the Hive. So you can't afford to play fair either." Jinx started.
To emphasize her point, Jinx quickly fired one of her hexes at the group. They quickly dodged and Danny instinctively fired an ecto-blast at Jinx. She quickly dodged the green colored blast.
"Not bad, ghost kid. Try not to give your opponent too much time to land several attacks in a row. That's a lesson you all need to learn. Especially when you come up against an extremely powerful opponent. Even ones that appear weak may be hiding something up their sleeve. Take the guy you fought yesterday, for example. From what I saw, he was a wuss, but he had several robots and magical objects to back him up. What happened to those things, anyway?" Jinx asked.
"Just before I shut off for the night, a group of monks came by, claiming that the objects belonged to them. I put them through a lie detector built into my body. They were telling the truth, so I returned the objects to them." Jenny answered.
"In any case, my point stands: Never underestimate your enemy and give a big enough opening to attack." Jinx stated.
Without warning, Jinx fired another hex at El Tigre and hit him, knocking the boy back.
"You gave me an opening." Jinx stated bluntly.
In response, El Tigre jumped up and let out his signature roar. He landed in front of Jinx and bared his claws at her.
"Not bad. Trying to intimidate your enemy. It's a valid tactic, but one that won't work on me. Instead, just show me what you're capable of. One by one. Starting with you." Jinx ordered, gesturing to El Tigre.
El Tigre immediately took the signal to attack. He swung his claws at Jinx numerous times, only for her to dodge each time. When El Tigre left an opening for her, she took it. She fired a hex at him, sending him flying off the roof. Using his grappling hook hand, he latched his claw into the edge of the building and pulled himself back up. Upon getting back up, El Tigre ran for Jinx.
Once he closed the distance between them, El Tigre continued to slash his claws at Jinx. She continued ton dodge until she saw an opening. Using this opening, she managed to knock him back. Using her powers, Jinx hurled several objects laying across the floor, such as karate boards, clay pigeons, and ceiling tiles at the boy. El Tigre responded by slashing everything thrown at him to pieces.
"Do you have anything else to offer besides turning everything around you into a scratching post?" Jinx asked.
In response, El Tigre launched both of his grappling hook hands and latched on to two separate TV antennas on either side of Jinx. He then flung himself forward, hoping to deliver a powerful drop kick to his advisor. Unfortunately, Jinx saw this coming a mile away and performed a perfect split which allowed El Tigre to fly over her head. He landed on the ground after letting go of the poles he was holding onto and retracted his grappling hook hands.
"Grappling hooks. Fair weapon, but standard, and not very effective offensively. Do you have nothing else to offer?" Jinx stated as she got back on her feet.
El Tigre was starting to get irritated with his instructor constantly taunting him and his abilities. Just then, an idea came to his mind, and a devilish smirk accompanied it.
He ran up to Jinx again, and she responded by firing numerous hexes at him. He slashed through the hexes with his claws. He then fired his grappling hook upward, letting it hang over one of the TV antennas. When it came back down, the claw grasped Jinx's ankle. El Tigre then pulled up, suspending Jinx in the air. He was about to swipe his other claw at her, when suddenly her eyes began glowing and her face adopted a look of fury.
"Put me down. Now." Jinx ordered.
El Tigre broke out of his angered state and quickly released Jinx, who looked down at the boy. El Tigre stared up at her sheepishly as he let out a nervous chuckle.
"Listen up. You have talent, kid. But you also have problems. I've heard about your tendency to go between good and evil. You will work on that if you want to stay with the Titans. You'll also work on that temper of yours. But for now, you're done, so sit back down. Ribbon girl, you're up." Jinx said.
As El Tigre sat back down with the others, Blossom stood and floated in front of Jinx.
"Alright, little girl, let's see what you've got. This time, you get to make the first move." Jinx said.
Blossom took the opportunity to attack. She flew forward and swung her fingerless fists at the more experienced Titan numerous times, but Jinx dodged every time. Blossom attempted to punch Jinx in the face from above, but she again dodged, leaving Blossom to punch the ground beneath her, leaving an impressive set of cracks in the ground.
"Flight and super strength. Pretty standard. I thought you had more than that." Jinx stated.
This made Blossom decide to switch to her more long-range set of superpowers. She started with her laser eyes. She fired the beams in Jinx's direction, but the older girl ducked under them. Blossom fired more eye beams at Jinx, only for all of them to be dodged. Once Jinx was a little closer to her, the pink puff let out a stream of ice from her mouth. Her ice breath hit Jinx's legs, trapping her in place.
"Laser eyes, not bad, but also pretty standard. You'll need to work on your aim a bit. Ice breath, on the other hand, is a bit more interesting. But you better not over rely on it. Trapping your enemies won't always work." Jinx said.
As if to emphasize her point, Jinx used her hexes to break the ice on her feet and free herself. She then shot another hex at Blossom before she had a chance to react. Blossom was sent flying back, but her natural durability let her get back up fairly quickly and get back into the fight.
Blossom decided on a different tactic. One that she and her sisters had performed numerous times. The tactic in question involved Blossom distracting an enemy by flying in front of them in several erratic movements before approaching them, making it look like she was about to attack. Bubbles would then make her way behind the enemy and punch them into the air while they were distracted with Blossom. Buttercup would then fly up to where Bubbles had sent them and punch them into the ground. Blossom began her erratic movements as she started her technique.
But there was one thing she forgot. The other two Powerpuff Girls were currently not with her. So when Blossom approached Jinx to finish off her portion of the technique, nothing happened. Only when Blossom and Jinx were face to face did the pink Puff realize her mistake.
"Was something supposed to happen?" Jinx deadpanned.
"Uhh…"
Blossom immediately tried throwing a punch at her opponent, but Jinx dodged and launched one of her signature hexes at the Powerpuff Girl, sending her flying back and tumbling across the ground landing in front of her new teammates. They all looked at Blossom in concern.
"What the heck was that?!" Jinx demanded.
"I-it was a technique my sisters and I used to pull off. I-I just forgot they weren't with me for a moment." Blossom admitted, looking depressed as she did.
"Alright Pinkeye, here's the deal. Team tactics are good, and you will be learning some from me later. Not to mention making up a few of your own. But you also have to be able to fight on your own if the situation calls for it. Don't always assume the others will be there to help. Another thing, I read the file on you and your sisters. I know you three are powerful. Maybe the most powerful on this team. But power without training is worthless. You may have always dealt with villains you could beat with brute force, but that ends today. The kinds of villains the Titans face aren't ones you can just punch out. You need a solid plan to beat them, so be ready to think of and follow through on some plans. And while we're talking, what did you mean when you said your sisters 'weren't with you'? Where are they?" Jinx asked.
This is where Blossom started to stutter. Even after two weeks of being without her family, she still didn't like thinking about that awful day, or the fact that they still weren't with her. It reminded her of her failure to protect them, as well as the fact that she had no one to comfort her when she was upset, like she was now. So being forcefully asked what happened to them made Blossom uneasy.
"Well? I'm waiting."
Blossom's unintelligible babbling only got worse. She was still very uncomfortable being asked about her missing family, and her unease was growing. This was not helped by the fact that she didn't like disappointing those who were above her, like her father, or teacher, or her Titans advisor. It made her feel like a failure, which was one of her biggest fears. Being put at a crossroads of two of her biggest insecurities only made things worse for her. The American Dragon noticed this and decided to try and help the poor girl out.
"I'd like to go a few rounds now." The Dragon said, standing up.
He hoped this would get Jinx to focus on him and have her stop grilling Blossom over whatever was making her uncomfortable. Luckily, that's exactly what happened.
"Is that so? Well come on, then. Let's see what you got." Jinx ordered.
As Blossom sat back down and began to calm herself, the dragon got into a fighting stance, ready to begin his round of training. Jinx did the same, waiting for the Am Drag to throw the first punch. The reptilian hero did just that, using his kung fu skills to throw the first attack. However, Jinx was just as learned in combat arts, if not more so, and easily dodged the attack.
The pair traded several more blows. The American Dragon's martial arts skill allowed him to keep up with Jinx, but it wasn't quite enough to knock her down. After a kick from the dragon that Jinx jumped over, the Am Drag threw a punch, but it was parried and Jinx landed a punch of her own that sent the dragon stumbling backwards.
"Is that really all you got? Just some martial arts training? If I wanted someone who just knows kung fu, I would've gone to the nearest training dojo. I thought a dragon would have more to offer than that." Jinx stated.
In response, the American Dragon used his large wings to fly into the air. Once airborne, the dragon let loose a stream of fire from his mouth. Jinx had to move quickly to avoid the fire. She ran for the training objects she had used earlier. Once there, she tossed several clay pigeons at the American Dragon. The magical reptile used his razor-sharp claws to tear through them with ease, just like El Tigre before him.
"Fire breath and claws. Not bad, but easily expected from a dragon. You'll need something that your enemies may not expect." Jinx said.
In response to this, the American Dragon channeled his chi and created numerous clones of himself. There were now five American Dragons. Each one of them got into a battle stance, ready to fight.
"Cloning yourself? Impressive. And with your other dragon powers, you'll be far more formidable than that nitwit Billy Numerous I used to work with. Hit me with your best shot, dragon boy." Jinx ordered.
The five dragons flew towards Jinx from different angles and prepared to attack. But just before they hit her, the pink haired Titan jumped high into the air, leaving the five dragons to crash into each other. Once they recovered, the dragons went after her again.
The first one flew after her and breathed fire at her, but missed. Dragon number 2 came up behind her and tried swiping his claws at her. But at the last second, she turned around and blocked his attack. The two then got into a martial arts battle. They were locked in a stalemate until the first dragon reappeared and tackled Jinx to the ground. The more experienced Titan responded by kicking her legs into the dragon as hard as she could, adding in one of her hexes for good measure. The first dragon was sent flying right into the second one, knocking both of them to the ground.
The third one flew at her from above and let loose a stream of fire from his mouth in her direction. Jinx backflipped out of the fire's way and turned toward the fourth dragon. This dragon tried swiping his tail at her, but she ducked under it. She then jumped into the air, landing on the back of the third dragon, who was still airborne. Before he could shake her off, Jinx landed a powerful hex on his back, sending him crashing toward the ground, right on top of the fourth dragon. Another hex sent them crashing into the first two dragons.
The fifth and final dragon then attacked Jinx. Just like the second dragon, they got into a battle of martial arts. The two were fairly evenly matched, until Jinx fired off another hex that sent him crashing into the other dragons. The five then merged back into one American Dragon.
"First thing you need to learn from me: Your enemies won't always play fair, so don't go expecting a fair fight. Second thing you need to learn from me: Never assume that a numbers advantage guarantees you victory. There are a lot of opponents out there much tougher than me. You will have to learn how to get around them. I will help you, but ultimate victory will be up to you. Anyway, time to switch gears. Robo-girl, get over here." Jinx ordered.
The American Dragon and Jenny switched places as the android readied herself for her round of training under Jinx.
"Alright, show me what you've got." Jinx ordered.
Jinx instantly produced every rocket launcher and blaster her mechanical body could possibly produce and pointed these weapons at Jinx. The pink haired Titan took a step back in shock.
"HEY! I said show me what you've got! Not blow me and half of Townsville to oblivion!"
"Sorry." Jenny said as she retracted her weapons.
"Alright, let's just start small. Show me what you can do at close range. We'll work on your long range and more dangerous abilities later."
Jenny responded by producing a chainsaw from her left wrist and enlarging her right hand and having sharp spikes come out of her knuckles. She also turned her feet into rollerblades and produced two tiny jet thrusters out of her metallic pigtails.
She charged toward Jinx at full speed, ready to strike. But the more experienced Titan expertly dodged all the attacks thrown her way. Once she saw an opening, Jinx swung her leg at Jenny. However, Jenny didn't even flinch at the attack. Having a metal body certainly had its advantages at times. Jenny then grabbed Jinx's leg with her enlarged right hand and threw her a fair distance away. Despite that, Jinx still landed gracefully on her feet. Jenny then retracted her chainsaw and enlarged fist in favor of an arm cannon. Before the robot girl could react, Jinx began speaking while approaching her.
"Your supply of gadgets is impressive. We will have to go over all of them later so I can know the true extent of your power. And having a metal body is certainly an advantage you'll want to exploit when you can."
"Oh, thank you! It's nice to get complimented on my devices once in a-"
While Jenny was rambling on and on about her gadgets, Jinx formed a large and powerful hex and shot it at Jenny. The mechanical girl didn't see it until it was too late and was hit. The blast was powerful enough that she was thrown back several feet.
"You're just as prone to distractions as any other person, though. To be a proper Teen Titan, you'll have to learn to block them out. Also, while your metal body might protect you from most forms of physical attacks, there are many, many other attacks you will still be susceptible to. Learn your limits." Jinx instructed.
"Yes, ma'am." Jenny said, embarrassed at being caught off guard like that.
Jenny slowly got to her feet and readied another attack. After returning her hands back to normal, she extended them in an attempt to grab Jinx. The more experienced Titan dodged and ran for the television antennae, Jenny's arms still chasing her. Jinx proceeded to perform one of the oldest tricks in the book. She went around the antennae several times until Jenny's arms could not stretch any further. While Jenny was working on retracting her arms, Jinx went up to the android.
"If I were any less forgiving, I would have ended this fight the instant your arms were taken out of the equation. Your abilities are impressive, I'll give you that. But you are no less prone to distractions and cheap tricks than your new friends. If you're going to make the cut as a Titan, you have to learn to spot these tricks before you fall for them. This will not only save your butt in the long run, but your teammates as will. Like I said, later on we will go over the rest of your abilities. But for now, sit down. Ghost boy, you're the only one left, so get up here."
Danny and Jenny switched places as the leader of the team prepared for his turn in the ring with his instructor.
"Alright spooky, show me why Robin put you in charge of this team."
Danny started by firing one of his signature ecto-blasts at Jinx. The more experienced Titan effortlessly dodged the attack and retaliated by shooting a hex in Danny's direction. The ghostly hero turned himself intangible, letting the hex pass through him harmlessly. The hex proceeded to head toward the other new Titans, who were right behind Danny. They had to duck for cover to avoid being hit.
"Hey, watch it!" El Tigre snapped.
Danny, still using his intangibility, phased through the floor in order to get behind Jinx.
"Where did you go, ghost boy? It doesn't make for a very good leader to run from a fight!" Jinx yelled.
Suddenly, Jinx felt something tapping on her on the shoulder. When she turned around, she was greeted with a fist to the face. She was thrown back, but managed to land on her feet.
"Who said I was running?" Danny retorted.
"Invisibility and intangibility. I should have guessed, what with you being a ghost and all. Still, impressive. Those will definitely come in handy when fighting your enemies. But never over-rely on one tactic. You need to have other tricks up your sleeve. Now show me what else you can do."
Jinx fired off several more hexes in Danny's direction. The half ghost teenager dodged the first few before putting up a shield made of ecto-energy to block the others. After taking down the shield, Danny used his powers to clone himself. There were now five Dannys surrounding Jinx.
"So you can clone yourself too, huh? Well I hope you were paying attention when I was talking to the dragon, because like I said, that's not a foolproof method."
To illustrate her point, she quickly struck four of the clones with her hexes, causing them to disappear. But the last one, the true Danny, snuck up behind her and possessed her body. The pink slits of Jinx's eyes suddenly turned green and round.
"Hi. I'm Jinx. And I like waking up my trainees at unbearable hours and flinging their beds into the ceiling. I pretend to be such a hard case, but that doesn't keep me from being a sap when I'm around my boyfriend, the Kid Flash. I love him soooooooooo much." Jinx said in Danny's voice.
While speaking, Danny made Jinx's body make a bunch of exaggerated and girly poses. His new teammates were all laughing hard at this little ventriloquist act. Danny then left Jinx's body, letting her regain her senses. Once she did, she glared right at Danny with her eyes glowing with anger.
"Don't. Ever. Do that. Again." She sneered.
"No promises." Was Danny's response.
Jinx then sent a large ball of her hex magic at Danny, screaming in anger as she did. Danny dodged and fired ice out of his hands. Jinx's feet were frozen in place as Danny approached her while rearing back a punch. But Jinx easily broke out of the ice, just as she had when Blossom tried it earlier. She then intercepted Danny's attach with a strike to his face. The ghost child quickly recovered and retaliated.
Using his intangibility powers, Danny put his arm in and out of Jinx's body to grab something that was behind her. Namely, a small metal pipe that was to be used for the still under construction Titans Tower. Danny then swung the pipe into Jinx's head before dropping it and pulling back his arm. A quick leg sweep sent the pink haired girl to the floor. But before he could follow up with another attack, Jinx sent a powerful hex fueled kick at the leader of the new Titans team, sending him back. Jinx then got to her feet and began addressing Danny.
"Not too shabby, ghost kid. I think I can see why Robin put you in charge. You're pretty resourceful. And you have quite a few impressive powers. But seriously, that whole possession thing. Never again. At least not on me, if you know what's good for you. But still, you seem a bit too brash. Learn to not be so impulsive. And learn how to press whatever advantages you have. You could have done some real damage to me when you cloned yourself. But instead, you let them all get taken out pretty quickly."
"Thanks for the advice. I'll remember that for the future." Danny said sincerely.
"So…are we done here?" Jenny asked. "I mean, you did just go through all five of us, so…"
"Sit back down. Now." Jinx ordered. "No, we are not done here. I just wanted to know each of your basic abilities. Now that I do, we're going to go over how to best use them in order to meet my standards. To meet the standards of a true Teen Titan. Get ready for a hard few hours. We'll be doing this one at a time again. Tigre, you're up first again."
The team spent the next few hours undergoing rigorous training under Jinx. Each one of them had their limits pushed in various ways. They were all fairly tired by the end of it, but still felt like they came out a bit stronger. After finishing yet another round of fighting against Danny, Jinx finally called it.
"Alright, I think that's enough training for the day. But next time, we'll be going for even longer, so be ready for that. Unless any of you have any questions for me, just do whatever for the rest of the day." Jinx said.
"Actually, there is something we need to talk to you about." Danny stated.
"What is it?"
With a deep breath, Danny and the rest of the Titans began to explain what they had learned the previous day to Jinx. They told her about how they all had family members kidnapped and that they thought it was all being orchestrated by one person. When the story was done, Jinx stood there in contemplation.
"I see. If what you say is true, then we may be dealing with something big here. I'll bring this up with Robin and see what he says. When he gives me a response, I'll let you guys know." Jinx said.
With that, Jinx turned around and entered the tower, leaving the Titans alone. They made conversation among themselves.
"So now what?" El Tigre asked.
"You heard her. She'll bring it up with the big dogs and see what the word is." The American Dragon answered.
"How long do you think that will take?" Blossom wondered.
"Hopefully not long. The sooner we begin looking for our families, the better. That is, assuming she lets us on this mission." Jenny responded.
"Relax. I think she knows how much this means to us. As far as letting us join this mission, I'm sure she'll say yes." Danny assured.
"No." Jinx stated bluntly.
"What?! What do you mean 'no'?!" Danny yelled.
"I mean 'no'. I brought it up with Robin, and he told me he'll look into it, but he doesn't want you to join the mission."
"Well why not?" Jenny asked.
"One: You're a brand-new team. He doesn't want a bunch of rookies taking on a mission this serious yet, even if it does involve your families. Speaking of which, two: He feels you're too close to the situation, and that you will most likely let your emotions get the better of you and impact your judgement. The last thing we need is someone acting rashly."
"That's crazy! We've all fought bad guys before! That's why we're here!" Manny argued.
"Be that as it may, Robin has reason to believe this may involve a villain none of us have faced before. A dangerous one. We don't need anyone going in over their heads."
"But…" Jake started.
"I said NO! This is the last I want to hear of this until either I or Robin bring it up again! Just focus on keeping this city safe and doing as you're instructed." Jinx ordered before leaving the room.
"Well, that went well." Jake said with an eye roll.
"No kidding. What do we do now?" Jenny asked.
"I say we look into it anyway." Manny suggested.
"But Jinx said not to get involved." Blossom argued.
"Who cares?! It's our families that are being held by some villain! We should be the ones to find out who and defeat them!" Manny countered.
"Maybe we should. We know our families better than Robin or Jinx do. But if we do this, we need to keep it quiet. Who knows what Jinx will do to us if she finds out we're going behind her back?" Danny stated.
"I won't tell." Jake calmly stated.
"Me neither." Jenny added.
"Nope!" Manny said.
Blossom was still unsure about going against what Jinx told her to do. But at the same time, she desperately wanted to find the Professor and her sisters as soon as possible. She eventually nodded in affirmation with the others, signifying her agreement to search for her and her teammates missing relatives.
"Well, where do we start?" Jake asked.
"Maybe by finding out more about the ones who took them in the first place. Jenny, see if you can find out anything about them." Danny instructed.
"I'm on it!"
"Jake, do you think you can find out if any of them are using any kind of magic once Jenny digs up any information about them?" Danny asked.
"Consider it done, my man."
"You two will try to keep Jinx off our trail whenever we're doing this. Got it?" Danny stated.
"Ok." Manny and Blossom responded.
"Let's hope we find out something useful soon." Danny stated.
Well, that's that, I guess.
Please accept my sincerest apologies for taking so long with this chapter. I never intended to make you all wait months for this to come out. Especially for a chapter that I feel was not that great. That's actually part of the reason it took so long. I tend to procrastinate more on chapters I feel are lackluster. It's the chapters that I feel more passionate about that come out faster since I'm more excited about writing them. Rest assured, those kinds of chapters are coming, it's just going to take some time. For me personally, my beginnings are never the strongest. It's the second and third acts where I really shine.
That's not the only reason this took so long, though. As stated in my opening notes, I had to write a one shot after I finished the last chapter in order to fulfil a promise I made. Once that was done, I began working on a summer internship, which took up a great deal of my time. And I had to start my next semester of college about a week after that 's also the fact that my laptop sort of crapped out on me at one point when I was almost done. By 'crapped out', I mean something happened that caused me to have to rewrite about half this chapter from scratch. So yeah, that was fun. In between all of that, I fell in with a group writing project for a particularly long Smash Bros fanfic. So long, in fact, that we had to break it into multiple stories. The first of these stories can now be found in my favorites on my userpage. The rest will be uploaded periodically to that channel. Take a look if you like Smash Bros. We all worked really hard on it and we're still not done.
As for what's next for THIS story, however, I am ashamed to admit, I'm not sure. I do not know what I want the next chapter to be about.
I hate having to admit this, I really really do, but here it goes. A few chapters ago when I said I was looking for a beta reader, it was not because I was looking for an editor. I was looking for someone who could give me a few chapter ideas. I want to make this story a certain number of chapters, but I don't have enough ideas off the top of my head to fill that number. I tried asking for outside help a few different ways so I wouldn't have to publicly reveal this, but those all failed.
With that said, I am hoping one of you would be kind enough to help me fill in the blanks I have in my overall plot. Someone who knows enough about the shows that I have represented thus far and others from that era of cartoons. I do plan on including characters from other shows in the future. If you would like to help, just send me a PM as soon as you can and we'll talk. I thank you in advance.
Despite this, I refuse to give up on this story fully. Worst case scenario, I rearrange some of my ideas until I can come up with more. Maybe bring back a few ideas I had previously decided to scrap. But again, I would appreciate assistance.
Thanks again for your patience, and for your assistance, should you decide to give it. I'll see you all next time, whenever that it. Fare thee well, faithful readers.
