Chapter 6: USJ Attack part 2, Aftermath, The Sports Festival.
'Why villains always showed up in unpredictable times?' Jack thought as he run on the sides of the mountains in USJ.
Today was supposed to be another training for the heroes in training. But it was ruined because suddenly villains invade their training grounds. They said that their goal was to kill the symbol of peace, but he didn't come so they went to attack the students and teachers instead.
One villain named Kurogiri decided to spread them all over the USJ using his quirk. Now Jack was given a mission from his homeroom teacher to find all of them and told them to regroup again at the front entrance. As Jack make one final web zip he finally arrived at the top of the mountain. Jack then proceeds to use his radar sense to find his classmates.
He sensed that Bakugo and Kirishima were in the ruined zone, he zoomed in to get a closer look at them with his mask. Apparently, they were fighting the villains there, and surprisingly the two of them were handling the villains well enough. Jack then search to other areas, Todoroki was seen to be handling the villains well, Koda and Tokoyami were in the windstorm zone, while the place was very windy and almost made him difficult to see them, he still managed to see a glimpse of them fighting off the wind and villains, while being occupied by the villains they still managed to handle them well. Ojiro was in the fire zone fighting off villains alone, Jack noted that he will first help Ojiro. Jack then searched again and found out that Izuku and Tsuyu were on a shipwreck. He then looked at the front entrance, he saw that the ones who were managed to avoid Kurogiris quirk were fighting Kurogiri.
"Ok now that I found them, time to go to their location," Jack said to himself as he planned his next move.
He then jumped from his perch and went to the fire zone where Ojiro was fighting. Not a moment later Jack arrived at his location. Ojiro was seen exhausted, while he managed to knocked out quite a few of them the villains still have more friends. He didn't notice that another thug was sneaking behind him ready to attack but it was halted by Jack giving him a hook to his face instantly knocking him out.
"That was a close one," Jack said as he approached Ojiro.
"Hamada!?" Ojiro was surprised to see him here.
"Yo, you alright Ojiro?" Jack said to Ojiro.
"Aside from exhaustion and some bruises, yeah I'm fine and thanks for knocking out the other one." Ojiro said to Jack.
"Well of course. While I see that you were handling them well, you need to get back to the front entrance, Aizawa sensei's orders." Jack said.
"Right," Ojiro said. As he started to head to the front entrance some villains emerged from out of nowhere.
"These guys again?" Ojiro said as he prepared his fighting stance even if he was tired.
"Don't worry, you go to the exit. I hold them off." Jack said to Ojiro while he also prepared his fighting stance.
"What?! No Hamada, you can't hold them off all alone." Ojiro said.
"It's fine, besides you're tired and injured. Now go!" Jack said. Ojiro then head to the front entrance.
"Hah! Hey you must be crazy that you can face all of us." One of the villains said.
"Meh. You guys are nothing compared to the villains I've faced. Compared to you all, well… you guys are below them." Jack said mocking them.
"Why you! Get him guys!" One of them said. The villains charged at Jack activating their quirks. Jack then shoot a web to one of the villains and proceed to spin him and also electrocuting him. Some villains were also electrocuted after they've been hit by Jack's spinning electric human web and some were quick evading the attack.
After that Jack let go of the web resulting the makeshift weapon went to the others. One villain was firing a gun to him but Jack's spider-sense warned him. He dodged the bullets and then fired a venom bolt to the villain knocking him out.
"Hey this is fun don't you think?" Jack said to the villains.
"This kid is stronger than the others! We should get out of here!" The villain said, but Jack won't let them as he gathered his electricity and shot a burst of lightning bolts to them knocking them all out. Then Jack webbed them up.
"Now as fun as it is, I'm sorry to let you know that you guys are toasted…. Ok Jack that was bad." Jack said to himself, he then went to his other classmates. After a couple of moments later, he arrived at his destination, but he saw that Kyoka, Momo, and Kaminari were in trouble. Kaminari was held hostage by one of the villains. The villain was pointing his hand on Kaminari and the other hand was holding him, Kyoka and Momo were forced to surrender to the villain.
Kyoka was frustrated. The idiot made himself as a human makeshift stun gun and he submitted to his quirk downside, making him dumb. As funny as it is, he managed to electrified all of the villains while Kyoka and Momo protected themselves with a thick anti electric cloth that Momo build themselves for them, but then out of nowhere a villain who has a similar quirk type as Kaminari appeared himself. And now brings us back to the present.
"Don't make any funny moves or this guy get fry. As a fellow electric type quirk, I don't want to do this but you are heroes so I made an exception on that." The villain said while still held Kaminari on his pointing his electrified hand on the dumb blond teen.
Kyoka had an idea of course, she will distract him by talking to him, complimenting his ego. The plan was a bit risky but she has no other choice. But before she could initiate her plan, the villain suddenly got electrocuted from a red lightning bolt. The result was Kaminari got free, the villain on the other hand got knocked out by Jack out of nowhere with a kick to his head. After that Jack web their capturer and then went to her.
"Are you guys alright?" Jack said to them.
"We're fine and thanks Jack." Kyoka said.
Jack then pulls off his mask, "Good then." He smiled then he got serious. "You guys need to go to the front entrance to regroup with the others. Sensei's orders." Jack said to them.
"We are planning to do that after we handle the villains here, but as you saw, we were caught of guard." Momo said.
"Well now that I've handle them, you can go." Jack said.
"Wait. What about you?" Kyoka asked him.
"I was tasked by Sensei to tell our other classmates to regroup and help them if they got overwhelmed by the villains." Jack said.
"Oh… be careful Jack." Kyoka said to him.
"You too, Kyoka." Jack said.
When Jack was about to put on his mask again, Kyoka suddenly pulled him into a deep kiss. Momo just shakes her head at the couple, Kaminari just gave the couple a thumbs up while still being dumb.
"For good luck." As Kyoka move away a bit and blushed.
"Thanks." Jack said smiling to her. He then put on his mask again and went to find the others. Kyoka watched as her boyfriend web swing away from them. She then went to join Momo and Kaminari, then they head to the front entrance.
Ten minutes have passed, Jack already went to Koda and Tokoyami's location. They were very soaked because of the rain and storm in the dome, but despite all of that they were fine. He then told them to head to the front entrance to regroup. After that Jack went to Todoroki. He saw that Todoroki already dealt with the villains and froze them all. He wondered if one of the villains was getting frostbite. As he approached Todoroki, he was interrogating one of the villains. Jack then told him to head to the front entrance which he nodded to him.
After Jack informed Todoroki, he then went to Bakugo and Kirishima's location. The two were handling the villains. Bakugo with his explosion, blast all the villains and with Kirishima using his hardening hands to give a hard punch to the villains. They were very good despite Bakugos…. Explosive behavior. Jack wondered if Bakugo was crazy. His maniac smile and rash words given to the villains, gave the impression of 'villain' to Bakugo. Jack cut out of his musing and went to them.
"Hey, guys." Jack waved to them.
"Oh, hey Hamada!" Kirishima said.
"What the fuck are you doing here webhead?" Bakugo asked.
"You two need to head to the front entrance to regroup with the others." Jack said to them.
"What!? No, I want to blast the hands guy and that big ugly bird beak monster!" Bakugo said.
"Hey, Bakubro we should listen to Hamada." Kirishima said.
"Shut up shark teeth!" Bakugo said.
"Dude, it's Aizawa's orders. Now get going, I need to go to inform Izuku." Jack said not letting Bakugo replied his statement, even as he webbed swing away from them, he still heard Bakugo's rants about 'I don't take orders from you! bla bla'.
'What a bummer that guy. He really needs to see a therapist. His anger issues are very annoying.' Jack thought as he webbed zip on another building.
A couple of swings later he arrived at the shipwreck. While he was still on the air, he saw Izuku and Tsuyu on the air jumping off the ship. Jack then web zip to them and shot two webs to Izuku and Tsuyu pulling them to him. After that he grab the two, he saw that the villains were one the water and they were beginning to chase them. Jack then gave them a lighting bolt straight to the water, instantly electrifying them. He then web zipped to the nearby land.
It was not the best landing but they managed to escape the villains on the shipwreck.
"You guys ok?" Jack asked them as he groans himself from the fall.
"Yup we are." Izuku replied groaning from the rough landing.
"Kero." Tsuyu replied.
"Good. Now we just need to-"Jack was not able to continue any further as a loud crush was heard not far from them. He looked at the source of the sound and to his horror he found out that it was Aizawa being crushed by the muscular villain. The teacher was being held by the beak muscular man with exposed brain. Aizawa looked battered, his body was badly damaged, his arms were bent not in the correct way, blood trailed down from his forehead and a noticeable decaying tissue on his elbow.
Their teacher was in serious trouble.
"Izuku stay here hide. I will grab our sensei and put him here." Jack said to his brother.
"What?! No Jack, it's dangerous. That… thing, I have a feeling is stronger than All Might." Izuku said.
"Yeah, kero. Hamada chan don't go there, please." Tsuyu said.
"Sorry, but if someone's in trouble, I need to help." Jack said.
Not letting them giving any reply Jack went straight to his sensei. The monster noticed Jack's approaching form. Jack web shot the monsters eyes, temporary blinding it and gave the other villain, the leader he thought a venom bolt electrifying him. He then saved Aizawa and brought him to Izuku and Tsuyu.
"Oh my god…" Izuku said surprised seeing the state of his homeroom teacher.
"Is… he going to be fine…kero?" Tsuu asked worriedly.
"I hope so… those bastards... Izuku, Tsuyu you guys need to get to the front entrance and while I distract the two villains, you two carry him to the front entrance, so sensei's wounds can be treated there. I'm going to buy as sometime before reinforcements from school arrive." Jack said.
"Jack don't do it! I know you've got experience facing villains before, but I don't know if you can defeat that monster." Izuku said.
"Izu… to be honest, I'm not sure too. I've faced the Rhino once, and I think he can't be compared with that thing." Jack said as his hands were shaking a little bit.
"But then… why? Why do you still insist to defeat that?" Tsuyu asked.
"Because no one here is capable to defeat that thing. Don't worry I'll be fine." Jack reassured them.
"Now you two go!" Jack said to them as he jumped again to that monster location.
"Right!" They said to him. They then began to head to the front entrance with Aizawa in tow.
'Don't worry Jack, I help you after we bring Aizawa sensei to the front entrance' Izuku said.
When Jack came back to the monster location. He was greeted by the other villain, while the monster was being silent.
"Ah… what do we have here? Someone who was bold enough to even face the nomu." The blue hair with hands on his body said. The other villain was weird Jack thought. There were many hands in various parts of his body, paled skin, and blue hair. Jack wondered if this guy has any hand fetish.
"Uh, I'm sorry to ask… what's with the hands on your body? you got a hand fetish or something." Jack quipped to him.
"Why you! Nomu… deal with this kid." He ordered Nomu. Immediately the Noumu went straight up to Jack with ridiculous speed.
"Ok, I need to use my spider-sense to its maximum level!" Jack said as he dodged a punch from the monster. For a tank size body, the Noumu was fast. Jack then avoided another punch and then he slides between the Noumu's legs and gave the Noumu a venom punch to his back. To Jack's surprised, the Noumu did not bulge a bit.
"HAHA, you seriously think that little attack can damage Nomu. The Nomu has a shock absorption quirk. With this, he could even tank All Might's punches." He said to Jack.
'Shit this is bad. Then how about this' Jack thought.
He then avoided another attack from the Noumu, he then back away and gave the Noumu a venom bolt to its head, startling a bit, Jack noticed that the Noumu was a little bit staggered by Jack's attacked to its head, Jack then had an idea. Jack went invisible, surprising the two villains. He then reappeared himself with a flash of light, blinding the monster for a moment. Jack after that went to the monster head and seat on its back.
Then Jack put two of his hands between the Noumu's head and then gave it the biggest electric shock that he could output. The Nomu was feeling immense pain from Jack's attack and he let a shriek. The Nomu was knocked out after that. Jack then webbed up the Noumu into a cocoon.
'Whew… that was by far the biggest venom blast that I gave to a villain. Well besides Doc Ock's giant robots of course, I have to rip the sky to summon lightning, which made me strain quite a while.' Jack thought seeing the cocoon. Then Jack looked at the villain boss, he was very shocked and then angry.
"What?! The Nomu was defeated?! I thought he said that the Noumu was unstoppable… He lied to me! And you, you're cheated didn't you?!" He said. Then suddenly Kurogiri came out from his portals besides the hands' guy.
"Shigaraki… We have a problem." Kurogiri said to Shigaraki.
"Now what is it?!" Shigaraki replied.
"While I managed to defeat 13, one of the students managed to escape this facility." Kurogiri said. Shigaraki then scratched his throat, irritated.
"Good thing you were our warp gate for our escape Kurogiri if not I kill you." Shigaraki said as he continued to scratch his throat, clearly irritated by the new information.
"We should retreat before the other heroes get here." Kurogiri said.
"Hey-hey sorry guys but I wouldn't let you two escape that easily." Jack said crossing his arms.
Jack was about to web them up when his spider-sense suddenly flared up haywire. He didn't get any chance to know what's the danger when he was smack by the Noumu to the face. Jack flew from the area fast and crash to the fountain on the central plaza. Jack was dazed and didn't get the chance as he got punched to the ground by the Nomu. The Nomu punch again, faster than before. Jack was trying to dodge many as he could, but his body ached from the attack.
'Shit! This so-called Noumu is tough!' he thought. He then blocked another punch from the Nomu. He struggled as he pushed the monster fist above him. The Nomu then with his overwhelming strength overpowered Jack and delivered another punch. Jack felt immense pain from that punch he got. Then as the monster was about to give Jack another one, Jack then let out a mega venom blast to the nomu. The Nomu was electrocuted and blasted away from Jack, giving Jack a chance to venom dash to him in the air.
Jack then with his strength threw him to the ground. Then Jack followed with a two-line of web that he shot to the Noumu, web zip himself to the monster, and delivered a ground slam where the Noumu crashed. Jack after that back away a bit. He felt that he broke a rib or two because his chest was feeling ached whenever he breathed and his head was feeling a bit dizzy from the attack to his head. Jack then giving the down Noumu a powerful venom bolt to its body, slightly burning him a bit. To his surprised after Jack's attack, the Noumu was able to get up, he saw that the Noumu had healed himself. The previous injury was now replaced by new skin.
"Ahahaha! The Nomu has also a regenerative quirk. No matter how much you inflicted damage to its body he will eventually heal from it." Shigaraki said.
'Damn… this is very bad. Idk if I can take this any longer.' Jack thought to himself, feeling ache.
Then hope came. The USJ front entrance door went wide open as another muscular figure came.
"Don't worry… why? Because I am here!" The figure said known as All Might. When you looked at his face now, gone was the wide smile, but it's instead was replaced by an angry expression. He then disappeared at the front entrance and reappeared himself in front of Jack. The other villains that were around in the USJ had already been taken care of by All Might.
"Good timing All Might." Jack said to him holding his chest.
"Young Hamada, are you ok?" All Might said to him head tilted back.
"Never better, that thing is strong All Might. Maybe stronger than you, he has multiple quirks that include Regeneration and Shock absorption." Jack explained.
"Well well, if it isn't All Might, finally you've come." Shigaraki said.
"How dare you… coming here, attacking my students. I All Might shall bring you, villains, to justice once and for all." All Might declared, he was very angry.
"Young Hamada I suggest you get to safety, your friends are-"
"All MIGHT! Watch out!" Jack said warning him as the Noumu went to All Might. All Might then block a fist from the Noumu and then he gave the Noumu punches to its face, he back away for a bit and made his arms into an x position, he then released two air sliced to the Nomu. Then if that's not good enough All Might gave the Noumu a german suplex. The attack was very powerful, forcing Jack to back away a bit. Dust was covering the two titans, making it hard for Jack to see what happened.
Then to his horror, Jack saw that All Might was being held by the Nomu. The hero was in the monster's grasp, as it turns out a portal was on the mid of All Might's body, making the hero stuck between two dangers. The Nomu was clenching at All Might's wound, on its left stomach. Blood was seen at All Might's white undershirt.
'Shit, if this continues, he will die, I got to do something.' Jack thought.
"It seems that your so-called symbol of peace is stuck in a difficult situation. Die from the crushing Nomu and die because of mutilation. Ahaha! At last, we can kill the symbol of peace. With you dead, society will crumble to dust!" Shigaraki said clearly happy.
"I don't want blood on my portals, but I will let it slide for this." Kurogiri said. The Nomu continue to clutch into All Might's wound, making the hero squirmed.
'It's clutching my old wound.' All Might as he tries to free himself from the Nomu.
Then suddenly an explosion its heard and Kurogiri was down being held by Bakugo. His hand was on Kurogiri's metal plate, resulting All Might got free from the portal grasp and back away a bit from the monster. And then ice starts to head to the Nomu, freezing its sides, encasing it with ice making the Nomu trapped. It was Todoroki and after that Izuku came and attack Shigaraki by giving him a '5% smash' to the villain. His brother and friends came to aid All Might.
"Going to kill All Might? We won't let you." Todoroki stated.
"HEY, YOU VILLAINS! NO ONE IS GOING TO KILL ALL MIGHT EXCEPT ME!" Bakugo said while still pinning Kurogiri.
"We will not let you kill our teacher!" Kirishima said as he prepared for battle.
"Jack! Are you ok?" Izuku asked him.
"I'm fine, just broke a rib or two. But I managed, thanks for bringing reinforcements." Jack said as he prepared himself for another upcoming battle.
"Surrender villains!" All Might said to the villains.
Shigaraki felt very annoyed right now. They failed to kill the symbol of peace, he thought that All Might was already weaken, but the fact that he saw that he could deliver the nomu a hard time proved that it was false. Shigaraki then steps back clearly terrified, but then the Noumu that was encased by ice broke from its prison. The result was his side from the encased ice got torn, showing its muscle and bones.
Shocking the hero and students, the Noumu regenerated instantly. Shigaraki then smiled brightly.
"Ahahaha! Round 2 All Might. NOUMU KILL THE SYMBOL OF PEACE!" Shigaraki shouted.
The Nomu then straight up went to All Might. All Might then face the Noumu head-on. Todoroki would provide support by trying to send his ice to the monster, but the speed from the creature was too fast for him to get his ice into its target. Izuku was about to help too but Shigaraki saw it. Instantly Shigaraki was in Izuku position. He was about to put a hand on Izuku's skin, but Jack blinds him by giving a web shot to his face. Shigaraki was staggered for a bit but then Izuku attacks him, giving him a roundhouse kick, making Shigaraki flew. Then Shigaraki while was still in the air was brought down fast by Jack with his web. Shigaraki came down hard.
Seeing his master in vain, Kurogiri uses the other parts of his body to get away from Bakugo. Bakugo saw this but sadly Kurogiri managed to escape from his grasp. Jack was about to give Shigaraki a venom bolt but Kurogiri sends the bolt elsewhere with his portals. With All Might, he was giving the Noumu 100% punches but the Nomu was able to withstand All Might's punch because of its shock absorption. The result of the punches was strong winds was emitted by the two titans, making the other students and villains back away.
'Damn… no wonder that he's the number one hero and Izuku will be like this? Awesome.' Jack thought as he watched the two exchanging blows.
"You said that it has shock absorption? And it can withstand my 100%? Then I should go beyond my limits." All Might said. Then All Might true to his words, his punches were much stronger now than before. Jack observed that his blows were beginning to tired the Nomu. All Might kept this up until he withdrew his fist and said.
"Remember these words villains! Go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!" All Might punched the Noumu on the face. The Nomu flew through the ceiling in the USJ, flying and never came back down. Shigaraki now was getting irritated, his plans fail to kill All Might. With All Might, he has reached his limits for his muscle form, and now he can't move because he needs to maintain his muscle form.
"What's wrong villains? You said you wanted to kill me, right? Now come here!" All Might said to them.
"You…. You're cheated, just like that other guy. He said that you're weakened but he lied to me! I'm going to kill you!" Shigaraki said running to All Might with rage. Kurogiri was about to chase after him when several gun shots were heard. Everyone looked at the source to see the other heroes and Iida beside them. Snipe was the one who shot Shigaraki. Shigaraki felt pain in different parts of his body. As Snipe was about to shoot again, Kurogiri envelop Shigaraki with his quirk and then the two were gone. Jack relax a bit, he glad that the fight was over, but he also felt that the so-called League of Villains will come back to fight them.
"Have no fear, I Iida Tenya have brought reinforcements!" Iida shouted. Everyone who was in the USJ felt relieved, finally help arrived and the others who were in the battle were escorted to the front entrance. Jack saw that All Might has covered with blocks of concrete thanks to Cementos, with Izuku in it. Jack knew why ofc, he knew that All Might was on his limit to maintain his muscle form, so that's why Cementos covered the hero to keep his secret and Izuku who head to All Might to prevent Kirishima go to the hero's location.
As Jack arrived at the front entrance, he instantly got a hug from his girlfriend.
"Ow…." Jack said almost fall from the embrace.
"YOU IDIOT! You could have died! I saw you got pound by that monster and… and I thought you…" Kyoka said to him, clearly crying.
Jack hug back carefully rubbing her back.
"I'm sorry Kyoka… but there was no one else who could get it busy. I know that I can't beat it, but still, I can't let that thing kill sensei Aizawa." Jack said to her.
"But… I'm worried…" Kyoka said while still hugging him.
"I know and I'm grateful for that." Jack said, he then took of his mask. Bruises were seen on Jack's face when Kyoka saw him. Jack then gave Kyoka a kiss on her forehead. Kyoka just blushed and Jack laughed at her bashful reaction. They then went outside of the USJ to get to their friends. The couple saw that everyone was being interrogated by the police, probably because of the events that they've experienced. Jack was brought into the ambulance leaving his friends, but Kyoka stayed with him after she has gotten permission from the principal.
''Today was very chaotic…' Jack thought as he was checked up by the medical team.
It has been three days since the USJ villain attacked and all the students were given a week off from school. Jack finally was released from the hospital, after two days of care. Today Jack and Izuku were heading to the abandoned building Izuku told about. He was going to make a street art of Peter's spider suit, while Izuku was going to make a street art of All Might. The two of them were carrying the spray cans and cardboard that they needed to make their street art.
Five minutes have passed and the two of them arrived at the abandoned building.
"You ready Izuku?" Jack said.
"I'm ready," Izuku said grinning.
The two then began to make their street arts. First, they cut the card boards to the shape that they want. Then they tape the sides of the cut cardboard to the wall. They then spray the cardboards so their shape will be present after they finish. Jack will help his brother if he has any difficulties. Then after that, they spray the other carboards that they already cut.
20 minutes later
Their art was finished. With Jack's art, Pete's spider-man pose was falling from a high place and came down just to knock out a villain. With Izuku, his art was All Might with his golden age hero suit with his signature pose.
"Hmm… not bad for your first time Izu." Jack said admiring his brother's work.
"You too Jack, so this is Peter, your mentor… his hero suit looks awesome!" Izuku said stars in his eyes.
"He is…" Jack said a smile was present.
"He was the greatest teacher that I ever met. After I got my powers, he taught me all he knew about being spider-man." Jack said looking at his art.
"Cool, I wish that I could meet him though," Izuku said.
"And I wish that I could take you to meet him. Well, how about we take a picture?" Jack suggested.
"Sure thing," Izuku replied.
Jack first took a photo of their art, then Izuku with his own art, then after that Izuku took Jack's photo with him and his art. After that, they packed all their spray cans and leftover cardboard and went home.
A week later
School has started again. Class 1-A despite what happened to them, they continue as usual.
"Last week was very intense don't you think?" Kirishima said.
"Don't ask me again, we nearly die…" Kaminari said.
"Yeah, I mean we just faced real villains and nearly got our lives lost." Ashido said.
"But, hey we lucky that we could hold them off until reinforcements arrived," Sero said.
"But the one who was very manly is Hamada don't you think? I mean he just faced that monster all by himself until All Might came!" Kirishima said out loud.
"Yeah but I nearly die while holding the Nomu." Jack said from the door in front of the classroom with Izuku beside him.
"Hamada!" Everyone said.
"Hey guys," Jack said waving to them as he went to his seat beside Kyoka.
"Are you ok bro?" Kirishima said.
"I'm fine, it's just broken ribs and a slight fracture in my hands don't worry." He said, as he was halfway there to his seat he met his girlfriend on the way, who later he gave her a hug and kissed her. Ashido was squealing to the couple, displaying their affection to the class. Then he sat at his table.
"Guys who do you think will teach us today, Aizawa was badly injured. Kero." Tsuyu asked.
"Idk Tsuyu chan, maybe one of the staff's here," Uraraka said.
Just then the door opened suddenly, revealing Aizawa in his bandage state. Bandages were on Aizawa's face, covering it entirely only his eyes were visible. His arms were also bandaged and with a sling. He looked like a mummy Jack thought to himself. The class immediately went silent.
"Morning class," Aizawa said.
"Morning sensei." Everyone said.
"Sensei, why aren't you in the hospital?" Uraraka asked.
"Yes sensei! We thought that you won't come here, because of your injury!" Iida said chopping his hand from his seat.
"Recovery girl used her quirk at its maximum. Enough about me, it's time to get into business. A week ago, you all encountered a danger that pro heroes faced in a daily basis, villains. Although we made barely alive out there, it was proved that the danger all you have faced is not considered to be taken lightly. Some you only got minor bruises, and some of you got badly injure." At the latter comment, Aizawa shot a look at Jack. Jack on his seat just whistles, Kyoka saw this and just shot Jack a glare, Jack recoil a bit and rubbed his back hair, chuckling.
"But I have to say, not bad. Alright, I'm here to inform you that your battle is not over yet." Aizawa declared.
The class immediately tense up after hearing that statement. Jack began to wonder if the League of Villains has attacked again.
"The Sports Festival is nearing," Aizawa said to the class. Everyone gasped at Aizawa's statement. Jack knew about the sports festival. He was invited by Izuku to watch one of last year's sports festivals. He commented that the event was very awesome. Izuku also explained that this event was broadcasted to the whole country, Izuku told Jack that after the rise of quirks, national events such as the Olympics began to die in time, and instead it was replaced with the sports festival, where UA broadcasted the students so pro heroes could give them an internship. Jack was amazed at that.
"But sensei, why there be a festival? Isn't it a good idea to open the sports festival after the villains attacked UA?" Uraraka asked.
"Sure, it was a very dumb move to open the sports festival, but this will show the villains that UA isn't going to back down after what they did to us." Aizawa said.
"Alright, now let us begin our lesson for today," Aizawa said.
After the lesson, Jack went to the cafeteria with, Izuku, Uraraka, Iida, and Kyoka and also a new addition Tsuyu.
"So guys I have a question, what will you do before the sports festival begins?" Izuku asked.
"Ah, I will train my engines so that they could last longer and increasing my speed," Iida said.
"For me… maybe I will extend the time of nullifying the gravity of an object, so I don't puke more." Uraraka said.
"I will train my jack's so that they can do damage more." Kyoka said.
"Well, I will increase my training regiment of course." Jack said.
"I will go for a swim in the school swimming pool. Kero" Tsuyu said.
"Wow, you guys have amazing training regiments. I can't believe that the sports festival is nearing. We will be seen by pro heroes around Japan and they will give us internships." Izuku said stars in his eyes.
"Of course, if we get our internship, we will surely get the experience of being a great pro hero, by watching a pro hero works." Iida said.
"You could say that again. You know when I first got my powers, I was very bad at controlling my powers. But after Pete trained me and brought me to do hero work with him, I began to get good at controlling them. Guys, this is a good opportunity for you all, to learn from the pros, because their experience is what you need to know what to do in this line of work." Jack said. The table nodded to Jack.
"You sure are lucky huh Jack." Kyoka said smirking.
"I'm sure am. Even luckier, I got to met you" Jack said smirking, Kyoka immediately blushed and punched Jack lightly.
"Idiot… but thanks… I'm glad too" Kyoka said smiling a bit. Jack also smiled too.
"Ekhmm… get a room you two," Izuku said giving them a teasing smirk, Uraraka also gave them a smirk, but Iida just smiled. Jack and Kyoka just blushed.
"Anyway, you guys really have good intentions on why you become heroes... for me I wanted to become a hero because of the money… is it bad to have that sort of intention?" She asked her friends.
"First of all, why do you want only the money? I mean I get it that a hero is some sorta paid job in this universe." Jack said.
"Well, I wanted to help my parents. You see, my parents worked in the construction business, but their income recently isn't enough for their daily needs. So, when I'll become a hero and get my license, I'll be able to help them." Uraraka said. Everyone on the table looked stunned and amazed.
"It's a good intention to have Uraraka, it's not bad." Izuku said.
"Indeed Uraraka, your intentions surely embodiment of a true hero." Iida said.
"It's ok Uraraka, as long you helped people that's a hero in my book." Jack said smiled at his friend.
Uraraka smiled at her friends, she wasn't expecting their reaction to being like this, but she was glad. As everyone wanted to leave their seats and went to their class, A blond teen spilled his drink on purpose to where Izuku was seated, but thanks to Jack's training, he avoided the spilled drink and looked at the person who did it.
"Ahh missed…" He said.
"Excuse me?" Jack asked, shoving lightly Izuku behind his back.
"Did you spilled your drink on purposed?" Jack asked to the blond narrowing his eyes.
"Yes! You're Hamada, right? The one who scored first on the practical exam. My name is Monoma Neito, from class 1-B." He declared himself confidently.
"And… so?" Jack asked.
"And so?! How arrogant you are. You all so-called class 1-A thought that you're the best class in UA, even after the villain attacked your class, your all felt special because all the attention was focused on your class only, letting us class 1-B behind as your class shadow." Monoma said.
"Wow what? Dude, we almost got killed. Sure, the media were focused on us, but our class didn't saw your class as inferior and for the most part, we didn't ask the attention." Jack explained.
Monoma was about to retort but was knocked out by an orange hair beautiful girl. She chopped Monoma's nape and the boy went unconscious.
"Sorry for his behavior. Don't let his words get to you I'm Kendo Itsuka btw." Kendo said to them.
"It's fine, I'm Hamada Jack, this is my brother, Midoriya Izuku, and the others are Jirou Kyoka, Iida Tenya, Uraraka Ochaco, and Asui Tsuyu." Jack introduced.
"Hey/ Greetings/ Hai/ Hello. Kero/ H-hai" They said.
"It's nice to meet you all. Monoma is jealous of class 1-B, he thinks that your class is better than us." Kendo said.
"Well tell him that we are all still heroes in training like your class and we still have a long way to go." Jack said.
"Sure thing, it's nice to see that Monoma is wrong, that class 1-A was arrogant, but it isn't." Kendo said.
'Well… not all of us, unlike that exploding anger volcano, erupt person' Jack thought to a certain explosive blond.
"Gladly," Jack said before departing with Kendo.
Jack and his friends then went back to their class and were greeted by a crowd of students. The crowd was looking curiously at their class, where they blocked the door to their class.
"What's going on?" Jack asked.
"I don't know, but they are blocking the door," Izuku said.
Then Iida went to the crowd and asked why they are blocking the class exit. Suddenly Bakugo answered from the inside of the class.
"These extras are just scouting us for the sports festival. Out of my way you damn extras!" Bakugo shouts to the crowd, making them flinched in fear.
"So…. this is the class that was the first to encounter a group of villains. I should say, you're all a bunch of arrogant people." A person said. He has purple hair, which was straight up revealing his tired and bored face.
"Heh? What's that supposed to mean extra?" Bakugo asked, getting a little bit closer to the person.
"Well like I said, a bunch of arrogant people. You see us in the general studies didn't get into the hero course because of our quirks and knowing class 1-A, this class is considered the greatest compared to the others. In this year's sports festival, the teachers will see our performance, and if it's good enough they might be considered to replace one of the students with another."
"Meaning… get ready to be replaced by one of us. This is my declaration of war to class 1-A." The person said as he left.
"Tch. Whatever it doesn't like you extra can replace me. Now buzz off!" Bakugo said to the crowd.
The crowd then dispersed after that, some feeling fear while others felt disgusted by Bakugo. Jack and his friends then continued to head inside the class. As he sat in his seat waited for the next lesson, Jack thought about what the purple hair guy just said.
'Is that true? That they viewed us as arrogant people? That's bad, I mean you can be a hero, a class was never an indication of a hero, it is the heart and action of good that indicates you're a hero.' Jack thought as Ectoplasm arrived at their class to teach math.
A week later
It has been a week and the class was in the waiting room in their gym clothes. Everyone has already trained for the upcoming sports festival. Jack was excited and a little nervous. He was a little nervous because Aizawa said to him in the teacher's office that he was elected to be the class speech, meaning he will give an opening speech to million viewers at home and at the stage.
'Well, Jack just imagine like street performing… with large audition, consisting of all the citizens of Japan hearing your speech.' Jack said to himself.
But another thing that Jack was sad about is that he can't use his web-shooters. The principal said that the purpose of the sports festival is to 'show' their quirks to the pro heroes so that the students could get an intern with them.
As Jack was stretching his body, Todoroki went in front of Izuku and him.
"Midoriya, Hamada." Todoroki said.
"Y-yes?" Midoriya said startled because he had never talked to Todoroki before.
"What's up?" Jack said as he finished his warm-up.
"I know that I'm weak against you Hamada, but not at Midoriya. I'm confused on why All Might always look up to you Midoriya. That's why at this sports festival, I'm going to prove that I'm stronger than you two. This is a declaration of war." Todoroki said to the two.
'What's up with this declaration of war? It's not like this is some anime, or is it? Oh, what the hell.' Jack thought about what Todoroki has said.
"Hey man let's not make enemies. We are friends, right?" Kirishima said to Todoroki putting a hand at the teen's shoulder.
"We're not friends. We are here to become a pro hero." Todoroki said as swat away Kirishima's hand.
"Sorry dude but becoming a hero without a friend is suicide to me. With comrades on our side, we could beat down any villain that striking us and sure I like what you declared to me, about wanting to beat me. I accept your declaration of war." Jack said to him, which surprised the teen.
"To-Todoroki Kun, even if you're stronger than me and I'm only able to use not much of my power. I will prove to you that I'm capable of beating you down. I-I accept your challenge." Izuku said as he gave the Todoroki a determined look.
"Good brother and I wouldn't be forgetting about you Bakugo, prove to me that you could defeat me and become number one in this sports festival," Jack said to Bakugo.
"Yeah! I will beat you down webhead just look at me. I will become first in the sports festival just you wait!" Bakugo said as he showed his insane smile.
"E-Everyone! Let's do our best in this sport fe-festiva!" Izuku said, making the other classmates feeling pump up for the sports festival.
"Yeah! I'm getting pumped up!" Kirishima shouted.
"Me too, can't wait for this," Kaminari said.
"Attention everyone! It's time for us to go out into the stadium field!" Iida said to the others. Everyone then went out of their waiting room and proceed to head outside. As they got outside, they saw that there were people cheering them from the stadium seat. Jack's heartbeat raced high, the attention to them was very loud. Then present mic on the mic stand (A/N: Wow that rhythm…) giving commentaries to the audience.
"Ladies and gents, welcome to the sports festival! As we all knew that today is supposed to be a great day for all the little listeners! Now without further due, let us give up a round of applause to the first class. Their class was the first ever to encountered villains. Give it up for class 1-A!" Present Mic shouted.
The stadium then gave class 1-A round of applause and cheers. Jack now felt a little nervous and happy because their class was getting this much applause. Jack looked at everyone that they were not far behind from what Jack felt.
"Man… I'm beginning to feel a little nervous you know." Kirishima said as he rubbed the of his hair.
"Tch. I'm just beginning to feel more pumped up." Bakugo said as he showed his insane smile.
"You nervous?" Kyoka said as she walked beside Jack.
"Not quite… ok a little." Jack chuckled. Kyoka gave him a smile as she intertwined their hands together. The class then lined up in the middle of the stadium.
"Alright, the next class is not that far behind from class 1-A, give a round applause for class 1-B!" Present Mic said. Class 1-B entered the stadium and the audience clap and cheered at the class. Then Present Mic announced the other class that's from general studies and support class. As soon as all the classes have lined up in the middle of the stadium, a woman who wore a white tight suit that was showing her cleavage walked at the stage with a small whip in her hand.
Now Jack knew who the woman was, it was Midnight sensei. She taught history in his class and Jack's first impression was 'why the school was allowing a teacher dressed up like that?' he thought. Even more, Midnight once flirts with him when she first taught history in his class, but it was quickly stopped when his girlfriend grabbed his hand and giving an icy aura to the teacher. The teacher then stopped and continued her lesson.
To be honest it's not the first time Jack has had this kind of situation. After he got his powers and cut his hair, all the girls in his middle school quickly falling for him, giving him free chocolates and took pictures with him. He reminded himself that before he got his powers, he was the shy and otaku guy because he once had long hair. It was a total coincidence that an artificial spider bit him and he was grateful for that.
Jack was cut out by his monologue by a whip sound coming from Midnight. Apparently, she has something to say to the students and audience alike.
"Now for the student pledge speech, Jack Hamada..." Midnight said with a seductive voice which made Jack's spine shiver. His class gave Jack good lucks and hope he could make class 1-A not the enemy.
"Make our class good man!" Kaminari said.
"Good luck brother," Izuku said as he patted Jack's back.
Jack gave a thumbs up to his friends. Jack walked up the stairs and looked at all the audience and students, with a mic in front of him. Jack took deep breaths and he opened his mouth.
"Hello everyone. First, I wanted to say thank you to all the staff in UA for making this sports festival possible, given the recent events that we just faced a week ago, and for the audience at home and here, I wanted to say thank you for sparing your time to watch us in this year sports festival." Jack said. Immediately the stadium was filled with cheers and clapping, the staff that was watching smiled at Jack's opening speech.
"AHH, THANKS, BUDDY!" Present mic said from the comment booth. Jack chuckled.
"And second, I wanted to clarify something to the other courses." Jack then turned around to see the other courses, the other courses wondered what Jack wanted to do. They didn't expect to see Jack bowed to them, even his class was shocked to see Jack bowed to the other courses.
"On behalf of class 1-A, we're sorry if we see you as weaklings and inferior." Jack said the stadium went silent after that. Then Jack ended his bowing.
"I know that all of you see class 1-A as arrogant and prideful students and some of you may think that we are greater than you, stronger than you, but I wanted to say you are wrong." Jack said the other courses that weren't listening began to listen.
"Of course, that I got first at the practical exam, but I have still much to learn before I call myself a hero. We are still like you guys, still learning to control our quirks. It doesn't matter what's your class, it doesn't matter that your quirks are weak or not suited to be a hero! it doesn't matter if you aren't in the hero course! It doesn't matter at all! No… what makes you a hero is a goodness that you do to others. Even if it's just the little things in life such as helping an old lady cross the street or cheering up somebody if they were heartbroken, to me that's a hero in my book." Jack said the audience listened to Jack in great interest.
"So, let us make this sports festival our stepping stone for us, the future pro hero's as a way to become greater and let us show the other pro hero's what we're capable of, our quirks and our hard work, let show them all! Go beyond, plus ultra and good luck" Jack said while he smiles. Immediately the stadium was filled with cheering and clapping.
"OH MY GOD, WHAT A GREAT SPEECH COMING FROM HAMADA!" Present Mic said from the comment booth.
"Not bad Hamada," Midnight sensei said while clapping her hands. Jack bowed a little and went down from the stage. His classmates immediately greet him, Jack saw that they were very happy hearing his speech.
"That was awesome!" Ashido said.
"That was very manly ace!" Kirishima said as he bro fist Jack and Jack giving him back.
"A good speech to start the sports festival Hamada," Iida said.
"That was a great speech brother," Izuku said giving Jack a hug.
"Hey, I think the other courses don't hate us anymore," Kaminari said looking around them. He was right because all the courses were still clapping at Jack. Jack was cut out by his musing when Kyoka gave a surprising kiss to him.
"That was a great speech you did, I love it," Kyoka said as he looked at him while she hugged him.
Jack kissed her forehead, "Your welcome, my lady" Jack winked at her. She chuckled and let go of him.
"Now listen up! The first event will be decided randomly." Midnight said, she pointed her whip at the stadium's big screen. The screen showed many events and they were randomly shuffled. After a while, the screen stopped at an event.
"Ara-ara… an obstacle race. You will race around the stadium and the starting point is that big red door over there" Midnight said as she pointed to the big red door at the edge of the stadium.
'Race huh? Sounds easy enough.' Jack thought.
"But keep in mind that there are obstacles that you need to face for you to go to the finish line. Many of your upperclassmen drank their tears because they lost, so… be prepared…" Midnight said with a seductive tone in the end.
Everyone then went to the big red door that has opened. Inside it was a narrow hallway and at the end, it was another door that was still closed. The narrow hallway was nearly fit for all the competitors. For Jack he got an idea, he just needs to stick to the walls and run to the end, while everybody would be struggling to get out of this narrow hall.
The countdown starts. Before the sport, Jack and Izuku were called by All Might to the teacher's lounge. He has requested to the two brothers, he said that let the sports festival see you two and let them see that they are here. The two nodded after he All Might say that and then dismissed them.
'Alright… I will show to the world, that spider-man is here.' Jack said as the gate on the end of the narrow hallway opened and all the students run it.
