Chapter 8: A Familiar Face, Battle Tournament Part 2 (Final)
In another part of the city, a hero was currently patrolling the streets. He wore white armor just like his little brother and has two engine exhaust pipes on both of his elbows. This pro hero's name is Ingenium, the turbo hero. The reports that he received told him that they spotted the hero killer, Stain inside one of the alleyways. The alleyways that they stated is the one that was so dark and deep out of sight from other people.
After a while, he finally found the alley that fitted the report's description.
'Now I just need to ambush the hero killer from the rooftops.' He thought. He then used his exhaust pipes to parkour up to the rooftops. Jumping from between the sides of the building, he finally got up to the rooftops. He quietly observed the alleyway from the ledge of the building.
He was surprised when there were two people inside the dark alley. A hunched man with a sword strapped on his back. The man wore a dark combat suit with steel plating as his armors and a sleeveless shirt. A blood-red scarf wrapped around his neck and bandages were wrapped around his arms ending at his wrists. The man also wore a watch on his left arm and to end it all steel knee pads with black steel boots. The man wore a headband that prevent his messy black hair from dropping down at his face and a mask.
The other was a wounded person with a dark blue costume. His eyes were covered with yellow-tinted goggles with a dark blue mask. A light-blue emblem on his back and torso. The blue insect hero, Beetle was on the verge of dying by the hero killer.
Tensei Iida quickly got down from the rooftop and then landed behind the hero killer. The hero killer looked at his back to glance at the pro hero.
"Well-well another pro hero that I need to eliminate." He said.
"It's over Stain! You will let that pro hero go and face justice." Ingenium said to Stain. However, Stain didn't listen to him as the hero killer suddenly plunge his sword at the dying hero, instantly killing him.
"There are so many fake heroes in this society… so that is why I need to eliminate the fake heroes from this society. It is my soar duty…" he said fully facing the turbo hero Ingenium. Now that Ingenium could look closely at the hero killer, his armored torso was filled with different kinds of bladed weapons.
"But they didn't deserve to die." He said preparing himself for a fight.
"They need to… Ingenium you are one of those fake heroes. Now… you will DIE!" Stain said suddenly throwing a knife at the Turbo hero which the hero dodged. Ingenium then run to the hero killer with a boost from his quirk and threw a kick to the hero killer's torso. The kick didn't hit Stain because of Stain's perfect reflexes. Stain then attack with his katana which inflicted a wound on the hero's torso.
The pro hero backed away a bit as to get away from the hero killer. He looked at his wound to see that it was bleeding, big droplets of blood falling from his torso. Ingenium gritted his teeth to cope with the pain. He didn't notice that the hero killer threw three throwing knives at him. He tried to dodge but it was too late.
The first knife hit him at his left shoulder, then the second hit his right bicep, and the third hit his right leg making him fall to the ground. The hero lay on the ground with multiple cuts on his body. Ingenium then heard footsteps approaching him. Stain with his sword licked the blood on his weapon. Ingenium instantly felt his body paralyzed, he cannot move his body even twitched his fingers, but he still felt the pain from the knives and katana wounds on his body.
"Ingenium, you should die today… but since I have already killed one, I will let you live as an act of mercy from me…."
"Without a little gift from me!" Stain said as he lifted his katana to prepare a downward stab at the turbo hero's spine. But suddenly a web was shot at the wrists of the hero killer hindering the attack. Stain looked at the newcomer who dared interrupt his kill.
"Who dares interrupted me!"
"Me hot-shot." The new person said. The person was a man in a red-blue suit with mostly red and cobwebs pattern. He had a mask with white lenses with black outlines. A large white spider emblem on the man's torso.
"Ugh. You know man do you know that killing inside an alleyway is so outdated. I mean come on you could do better than that." The man said.
"Who are you?" Stain said preparing a battle stance.
"Woah! You don't know me? I am your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." Spidey said. He then shot a web at stain's face and then shot another to pull the hero killer to him. Spidey then performed a roundhouse kick at the villain's gut. The results were Stain got blown away to the opposite of the alleyway and smashed into a wall.
Spidey then quickly headed to the wounded turbo hero. He then applied the first med-kit at the most severe wound in the torso. Then carefully pull out the throwing knives and close the wound with some cotton and his webs.
"You are going to be okay buddy," Spider-Man said.
"Than-Thank you." Spidey then stood up and checked at the other costumed hero. He was disappointed that the other hero died before he came here. Spider-Man then turned to Ingenium which the turbo hero managed himself to lean his body at a nearby dumpster.
"So, uhh you're the hero in this town?" Spider-Man asked.
"Yes. I thank you again for saving me, but who are you? A new pro hero? I mean I didn't realize that there's another pro hero registered from the Hero Association." The Turbo hero said.
Peter Parker thought for a second. He didn't know how to answer his question since he was just here on this world fifteen minutes ago from a portal that Doc Octavius made. Now he could go away from here and leave the wounded hero but being a hero for years he didn't want to risk him being injured again by another villain.
Since he was using a universal language translator, he could communicate with these people. Judging by the billboards that he saw along his way to here, it was Japanese. Huh, reminds him of…
'No. Not the time Pete. The kid's gone now… you need to move on from that.' He said to himself.
"Ehh… just passing by. By the way, what's your name? Oh! Let me guess, The white knight? The armored exhaust pipes?" Peter said making jokes to get rid of the air of suspicion.
"Ingenium. Now can you answer my question?"
"Uhh…"
"Let me see your hero's license."
"License what?"
Then before Ingenium could ask him again, police cars suddenly came from the outside of the alleyway. Spider-man began to panic, but as he prepared to escape another hero suddenly went the opposite direction of the alleyway. The pro hero's costume consists of a blue and white, skin-tight, long-sleeved shirt that tucks into his orange gloves. He wore dark pants, white boots, and sports a signature helmet that features a fish-like fin and blue visor. The name of the pro hero was Manual.
"Freeze villain!" he said.
"Wait! He's not the villain, it was stain!" Ingenium said as paramedics quickly rushed in to check up on his wounds.
"Y-Yeah! I defeated the villain. Look there!" Spider-man said as he pointed where stain was blown away by his kick.
"Then who are you?" Manual asked him, tons of water flowing around him.
"I am your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." He said still putting out his hands in the air.
"Well can I see your hero's license?"
Now Peter was in a tight spot. He didn't know what license that the heroes in this world were talking about. Ugh, his days are bad luck. First MJ scolds him for buying the wrong baby diapers. Second, he was late at work, and third, he was sucked by a strange portal, courtesy of Doc Octavius, that ended him up in another world with other individuals. He hoped that Miles was alright since he and he went inside the portal. With the only option that he only knew. He surrendered to the authorities.
"Alright take me to where you will take me," Spider-man said. The pro hero cautiously approached Spidey and took off some cuffs from the police. Spidey then was put inside in the police car and sent to the police station for interrogation.
UA Sports Festival
"Welcome back to the sports festival everybody. Now, we are at the second event of the battle performance. Here is the list of the people who are going to fight!" Present Mic announced.
The big monitor of the stadium began to show the students that were going to fight.
1. Midoriya vs Todoroki
2. Kirishima vs Tetsutetsu (Arm wrestling and the winner will fight Ashido at the end)
3. Iida vs Uraraka
4. Hamada vs Tokoyami
Izuku got up from his seat and headed to the waiting room.
"Good luck brother!" Jack said. His classmates also gave him some encouragement at Izuku. Izuku was nervous, he will face Todoroki for the first time. He had seen the sheer power that his classmate possessed. As he walked to the waiting room, a tall figure was waiting for him. The figure was a man with fire surrounding his body, a mask made of fire, and he had red hair. The man wore a navy turquoise bodysuit with lines of flames streaming across his chest, upper torso, arms, and most prominently his shoulders.
The man wore a frown expression, making people who looked at the man will instantly feel the man. The tall figure was Endeavor the number 2 pro hero.
Izuku was surprised when the pro hero was standing outside of the waiting room. He swallowed his saliva as the nervousness came to him. The number 2 hero then approached the green hair teen, resulting in Izuku tensing upon the number 2 hero.
"So… you're Izuku Midoriya?"
"Ye-yes En-Endeavor-san. Uhm… sir may I ask, what are you doing in front of the student's waiting room?" Izuku asked.
"Your next match is going to be fighting my son, right? Then I want you to make him use his fire. That boy needs to be ready to surpass All Might. His child-like rebellion had been hindering his potential as my greatest masterpiece. But still, he didn't want to use his left side, after what I have given him. So, I hope you could make that change to my Shoto." He said, his tone of voice was evident with pride and ambition.
At that statement, Izuku remembered the story that Todoroki told him. He felt sick at the hero. Rage was little by little dropping from him.
"Todoroki-Kun… isn't your tool." He said as he walked past Endeavor and headed to his waiting room.
Endeavor was surprised and stunned, he looked back at the green-haired boy. How there he said that to him, he didn't how much he gave to his son, his greatest masterpiece. But before he could have a word with the green-haired boy, the door to the waiting room was closed and he thought that it was a waste of time to confront the green-haired boy. So, he left the hallway and headed to the audience seat.
Minutes later, Izuku got out of the waiting room and headed to the stadium arena. When he arrived at the stadium and was immediately greeted by the cheering from the audience.
"For the first battle tournament in the second rounds. Two people have managed to come here because of their wits and hard work. The first person is a student that wields ice with incredible raw power, Shoto Todoroki. Second is the resident broccoli boy with spectacular feats in the obstacle course, Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic said from the comment booth.
The two looked at each other. Todoroki looked at his opponent with determination. Izuku was nervous but he was also filled with determination.
"Are you ready!? Start!" Present Mic said. Todoroki immediately launched a tsunami of ice at Izuku. Izuku tried to avoid but the ice was too wide and tall to scale up. He then used one of his fingers to launch a wind pressure to the ice, breaking the attack and blasting away Todoroki. Luckily, Todoroki created an ice pillar to prevent him from being out of bounds. The cost of Izuku's attack was his broken finger, which Izuku hold the pain.
Then Todoroki launched another wave of ice at Izuku, but Izuku used another Delaware Smash at the attack. The two continue to clash with their attacks with Todoroki launching a volley of ice and Izuku sacrificing his fingers.
Izuku was about to launch another Delaware Smash but he stopped when he looked at his fingers. His fingers were left with only one.
'Damn it, I'm only left with one finger.' He thought gritting his teeth.
At the spectator's seat, class 1-A, his classmates were astonished by the battle.
"Woah, Todoroki didn't give any breathing room at Midoriya," Kirishima said.
"Todoroki launched a large scale of ice to him. Of course, he wouldn't give any breathing room to him." Sato said.
"But… Todoroki's attack is decreasing in power whenever he uses it too much…" Jack said.
"Of course, he is you web-head!" Bakugo said, returning from the Recovery Girl's clinic. Jack was surprised to see the blond come here. He thought that he will sulk after his defeat but welp he's here now.
"Oh! Hey ticking bomb. How was your sleep?" Jack said in a cheerful voice. Which made the blond angrier.
"SHUT UP! I KILL YOU." Bakugo said ready to lunge at Jack, but Kirishima try to calm him down. Jack just laughed at the blond with the rest joining too.
"Anyway, quirks are like muscles. So, whenever we stretch to its limits, our muscles will tear themselves out. Quirks are the same, they have their own limits." Bakugo said as he calmed down a bit. After that fiasco, they continue to watch the match.
Todoroki was beginning to lose his stamina. His attacks power was reducing every minute. Not only did Jack notice this, but Izuku also noticed it too. With that Izuku then headed to Todoroki with 5% of One For All coursing in his body. Todoroki saw the approaching Izuku, he created a tower of ice to run up and close the distance between them. Izuku then used his last finger to attack Shoto while he was on top of his makeshift ice.
The ice tower collapsed and forced Shoto to come down from the ice tower. Izuku used this opportunity to deliver a kick with 5% One For All. The kick managed land on its target but Todoroki freezes Izuku's left arm. Todoroki was blown away from Izuku because of the kick and Izuku's left arm was encased with ice.
Todoroki uses another ice pillar to prevent him from being out of bounds. Todoroki looked at Izuku. Right now, Izuku's fingers were bruised and broken and Izuku was left with only his legs and his arms.
"Why…?'" Todoroki said to him, cold breath was coming out of his mouth.
"Why are you trying so hard to win? When you know you don't have any chance in winning this…"
"Because… I wanted to be a hero, like All Might and Jack that's why I will give my all in this Sports Festival." Izuku said with determination.
Todoroki was taken aback by the green-haired teen in front of him.
"… But it's pointless."
Todoroki then delivers another wave of ice at Izuku. Expecting Izuku to be encased in ice, but then a pressurize air destroyed the wave of ice. Todoroki was forced to make an ice pillar to prevent him again from out of bounds.
Todoroki looked again at Izuku. He was surprised to see that he was using one of his broken fingers to destroy his attack.
"What… why did you do that…?"
"Be-Because I want to become a hero. I will use all of my power to get there." He said. Izuku's voice was wavering because of the pain from his broken fingers.
"That's pointless! If you'll do that then you're just going to destroy yourself!" Todoroki said.
"Of course, but what about you!? You're freezing. I know that you cannot let out another attack on a large scale like last time with Sero-Kun, but you can increase your temperature by using your fire!" Izuku said.
"I know that you refuse to use your fire because of your father, but not giving your all while everyone else giving their all, it just insulting. Look Todoroki you haven't injured me at all!" Izuku said.
Todoroki then gritted his teeth, agitated by Izuku's comment.
"Did 'he' use you to force me to use my left?!" Todoroki said. He then headed to Izuku. His movements were slower than before, Izuku concluded that Todoroki is running low in stamina. Seeing the approaching Todoroki, Izuku prepared to move also with 5% One For All coursing through him. Shoto was ready to create ice to freeze Izuku, but Izuku was faster than him. Izuku's punch landed first at Todoroki's gut beforeTodoroki even made his move.
At that moment Todoroki let out embers of fire at his left side. Izuku widen his eyes, but immediately the fire was put out away by Todoroki. Todoroki was blown away by the punch and made another ice pillar to avoid getting out of bounds.
Jack and Bakugo could see that Todoroki's right side was beginning to be encased with ice. They both knew that Todoroki was at his limits. Izuku then began to approach Todoroki.
"Todoroki-Kun, stop screwing around! You need to use your full strength. It doesn't matter if you reject your father. You don't have the right to be the best if you couldn't do your best right now." Izuku said challenging Todoroki.
Izuku's words made Todoroki remember his childhood memories that were full of despair. Every year after his quirk manifested, his father will always tell him to train with him. As a result, his mother became worried and will be in a constant mental meltdown because of the abuse that his father gave to his mother and him. He was also separated by his siblings, distancing him because of his quirk. After a long time of domestic abuse, his mother can't cope with the pain she was having and accidentally pour hot water onto his face, leaving a scar. His father put his mother into a psychiatric ward.
"My fire is his quirk! And I refused to use that old man's quirk!" Todoroki said.
"Todoroki-Kun! Your quirk is not his! So, stop screwing around and let out your full power! Do you want to be a hero?!" Izuku said.
At those words, Todoroki remembered another memory with his mother. He and his mother were sitting down watching a special on TV about All Might. All Might encourages all children to use their quirk's in their own way even though they inherited them from their parents. Todoroki's mother adds that Todoroki must remember to stay true to himself, that he is not a prisoner of his lineage, and that it's okay to use his power to become who he wants to be.
After that Todoroki activated his fire, the memories that he remembered with his mother impassioned him. He let an outburst of fire from his left side. His right side which was encased by ice immediately melt because of the intense heat. Everyone at the stadium was astounded by the display of power from Shoto Todoroki.
Todoroki's fire also made the stadium feel the overwhelming increased temperature.
"Oh god, it's hot!" Sato said.
"No kidding, dude. I never knew his left side was this powerful." Denki said.
Jack was also getting very hot. He was sweating a lot and his girlfriend was also like him sweating. But despite the heat, he was very proud of his crazy brother.
'Huh… Good job Izuku you did it. You liberate Todoroki from his dark memories. But serious man, you're crazy…' Jack thought smirking.
Endeavor who was at the audience section watching the whole battle began to laugh ecstatic. Coming from behind of the audience seat, from the top, he walked down the stairs while laughing hard.
"Finally, Shoto! You accepted my power that I bestow upon you! Now, you are ready to surpass me my greatest masterpiece!" Endeavor declared.
Jack heard the declaration growled at Endeavor.
'If Peter was here, he would be agreeing with me that Endeavor isn't a hero.' Jack thought.
On the battle, Shoto looked at the audience's seats from the corner of his eyes. He knew that he had already given the satisfaction to his father, but right now his only thought was the boy that is currently in front of him. And what surprised him more was the green-haired boy was grinning.
"Why are you smiling?" Shoto asked.
"It-Its just your power… it's amazing." He said. Shoto grinned back.
"Just so you know… don't blame about what's going to happen after this. You're right, I wanted to be a hero too, just like All Might." He said.
They both power up in preparation for one final clash. Cementoss and Midnight decided to step in, fearing one of them might be killed. Shoto sends a large wave of ice at Izuku and around himself, but the latter jumps above it by using One For All in his leg. As he flies towards Shoto, he prepares a full power smash in his undamaged arm, and Shoto counterattacks by switching to fire and superheating the area around him, thanking his opponent as he does so. Even though Cementoss builds a wall between them, Izuku's wind pressure and Shoto's heatwave tear through it as if it were only cotton threads, and the resulting shockwave created by the collision of the attacks destroys the entire fighting ring, knocks over Midnight's stand, and sends a large whirlwind that blows over most of the audience.
"Oh, my goodness, how did that happen?" Present Mic said confused about the explosion.
"Todoroki rapidly changed the temperature of the stadium, switching heat to cold. The results were an explosion of heat and cold." Aizawa said.
After that, when the clouds of some dissipated away, they were greeted by the destruction of the arena. Bits and pieces of the ground were destroyed and the clash made a huge crater in the middle of the arena. The two combatants could be seen. Izuku was unconscious outside of the arena with four broken limbs and blackened fingers. Shoto was inside the ring, albeit not unconscious, but the left side of his UA P.E uniform was shredded, letting everyone see his half bare chest.
"Midoriya is out of bounds! Todoroki Shoto is the winner in this match!" Midnight announced. The audience clapped their hands at the winner of the first battle in the second round. Shoto then exited the arena and went inside the corridor. With Izuku, clinic robots have immediately hoisted the teen to the sports festival's clinic.
At the audience seat, 1-A section, every classmate was shocked at the battle's unfolding. The sheer power of Izuku and Shoto was beyond their expectations.
"Damn, those two are powerful…" Ojiro said.
"No kidding, kero." Tsuyu said.
Jack stood up from his seat immediately, startling Kyoka beside him. Everyone knew why Jack got up, so they didn't question him went inside the corridor in a rush, he was worried about his brother and he needs to see him ASAP.
"Jack wait up!" Kyoka said from behind him. Jack stopped for a moment to let his girlfriend catch up.
"Sorry, I left you there." He said to her. Kyoka just pinches his cheek and smiles at him.
"It's fine, Jack. You are very worried about him, I understand. Now, let's go." Kyoka said. The two of them headed to the sports festival's clinic. When they arrived, some people were already present. Jack could recognize the blond-skeletal form of All Might and the resident UA healer, recovery girl.
Izuku was on a bed, unconscious with his arms being cast and bandaged. The two of them were having a conversation when Jack and Kyoka entered the clinic.
"Excuse me, are we interrupting something?" Jack asked the two that were talking.
"Oh no, dear. We were just discussing how much of a push-over is the boy over here." Recovery Girl said pointing her… cane? Syringe cane? Yeah, just cane at the unconscious boy.
"Oh sorry, ma'am. I was just worried about my brother so me and Kyoka decided to check on him. Btw, is he okay?" Jack said. Recovery girl and All Might shared a look. When they were about to tell the news about his brother, suddenly another group of his classmates came. The group consist of Iida, Uraraka, and Tsuyu.
"Is Deku okay?" Uraraka said her concern was evident on her face.
"Midoriya Izuku will be fine. After I perform surgery." Recovery girl said, her statement widened the eyes of the students, especially Jack.
"Surgery…?" Jack said.
"Yes. The damage to his arms is so severe that the bones were destroyed. The fractures that his arms suffered cannot be healed by my quirk right now. So, I need to perform surgery to place the pieces of the fractures back to his arms." She said. Jack let out a sigh, he needed to train Izuku more so he could increase more of his power.
"Well, kids. I think you should all head back to the stadium's seat." The skeletal man said.
"Sorry sir, if I may I ask, who are you?" Iida asked the blond man.
"I-uh. I am one of the staff of UA and one of the people to help young Midoriya train before applying to UA." The skeletal man said. After that Jack and his classmates got out of the clinic. As they walk, Jack saw someone approaching from the opposite direction of where they were heading. It was Todoroki, still with his clothes ripped at his left side.
"Hey, Hamada. Can I have a talk with you alone?" Todoroki asked him. Jack motioned his classmates and his girlfriend to head to the seats without him. Then they went to a secluded corridor to talk in private.
"So, what's up?" Jack said leaning beside the wall, arms crossed over.
"How's… Midoriya?"
"He's fine. He just needs surgery, his arms were fractured and Recovery Girl needs to put them back do, she could heal her arms." Jack could see that Todoroki had a mild regret.
"Hey, it's not your fault."
"How that isn't my fault?" Shoto said with a regretful expression.
"Of course, it's not. You know Izuku was very determined about helping you escape your childhood's nightmare." Jack said surprising Shoto. Shoto was about to ask how he knew, but Jack cut him out.
"I ask Izuku what's up since he was also has been thinking to himself. He told me your problems and he planned to make you use the left side of your quirk."
"He… said that?"
"Yeah. And I support him. What your father did… was downright wrong Todoroki. I'm sorry for what you have endured for years and sorry for your mother. But Izuku was right, don't let your father's presence let you hinder your quirk's true potential. It's your power, not his." Jack said smiling at the end.
"I… I don't know what to say."
"Well, for one you can say 'Thank you' to Izuku. And me." Jack said. Shoto smiled and let out a small chuckle from his mouth.
"Thank you, Hamada."
"Your welcome. Now, let's go to the arena I think they already finished repairing the arena." Jack said. The two of them then headed to their classmate's seats.
In another location, away from the Sports Festival, an apartment that hides a bar inside. Inside the small bar there were two individuals, or should we say, two villains. The two occupants were Shigaraki Tomura and Kurogiri. The two of them were currently talking to someone that was using a tv as a way of communication. The tv's screen was blanc and only audio was coming out from the small tv.
"Shigaraki, Kurogiri. I have news for you two." The man said.
"What's the news? That I have to stop watching the Sports Festival that you ordered me to do." Shigaraki said as he scratched his neck.
"Shigaraki Tomura, stop scratching your neck," Kurogiri said as he wipes a glass. Shigaraki stop scratching just growled.
"I want you two to meet… an interesting group that I just discovered." The man said.
"What group?"
"Let just say… that these people are more experience in this kind of field. I want you to learn from them, their tactics, and their methods. That is why… I want you to meet them as they are now interested in our organization." The man said.
"Alright sensei. When we will meet this other group?" Shigaraki asked as he was curious of the group that his sensei mentioned
"Not for long. For now, you should focus on gathering other members into the league and continue to watch the Sports Festival." The man finally said as he ended the call.
In a tower located in Japan. The man known as the sensei was sitting in front of a computer screen. Several IV tubes were hooked on his body. His appearance consists of a simple suit. His face was destroyed, leaving only his mouth.
"Doctor, how're our guests doing?"
"Oh! They are fine. They are currently finding a base to operate." A doctor said. The doctor was a bald man with round glasses.
"Good. Because I've already contacted one of them. We should-" then a phone call was heard. The man who was known as All for One answer the caller.
"Hello, Doctor Octavius. It is a pleasure to finally be able to contact you." All for One said.
"The pleasure is mine, All for One." Dr. Ocktavius said.
"Are you and your group adapting well in our world?"
"Yes, at first I was confused by the language, but with my universal translator, I and my colleagues were able to understand and communicate in this world."
"I am relieved. It is still a surprise there is another dimension besides ours."
"The feeling's mutual. A world where most of the human population possessed these superpowers that you called quirks. It is quite remarkable and interesting."
"Yes, I can understand you're intrigued by this world. By the way, how about the people that they called themselves… heroes?"
All for One could hear a growl from the audio, "Huh… they just reminded me of that annoying masked arachnid, Spider-Man…"
"Spider-Man… a hero from your dimension I presumed?"
"Yes. There were three where I'm coming from, but one of them was killed by Norman Osborne…" Doc Octavius said the last line was filled with hatred, giving an idea that the man was filled with so much hatred towards this Norman Osborne.
"Well… the good thing is Doctor. They are not here. You should relax as together we will crush this society of heroes." All for One said. But from the other side of the call, Doctor Octavius or also known as Doctor Octopus was silent.
"Is there something wrong, Doctor?"
"Yes. We have… a problem. When I finally build a machine that was capable to travel between worlds. Two Spider-Mans messed up the machine upon activation. Causing a mild black hole to be formed. It sucked all of us including the two arachnids."
"I see… Well, it doesn't matter. For now, we shall put aside that problem. Searching for them at this time will put your group in danger. Gathered your strength doctor and we will meet in the future to discuss our next plan."
"Indeed." Then the call ended and the two vicious villains from two different dimensions were going to be working together to bring doom into this hero society.
Back at the Sports Festival. The second rounds of the battle tournament were over. The winner of the second battle was Kirishima which he will be fighting Ashido at the end. The third winner was Iida, he won by pushing Uraraka out of bounds and by avoiding Uraraka's fingers from touching him. The fourth winner was Jack, he avoided dark shadow's attack and electrocuted the sentient being from Tokoyami. As a result, the electricity followed Tokoyami causing him to lose. And finally, Kirishima vs Ashido which the winner was Kirishima, he won by hardening his skin to defend himself from Ashido's acid. When he was close enough to her, Kirishima punched Ashido and then he threw her causing her to be out of bounds.
"Finally, folks we have arrived at the near end of the Sports Festival. From these competitors who will win this year's Sports Festival?!" Present Mic said from the comment booth. Then for the final time, the large monitor displayed the final combatants that advanced to the battle tournament finalist.
1. Jack vs Kirishima
2. Todoroki vs Iida
"Woah! I will fight one of the class aces?" Kirishima said.
"Good luck, dude!" Kaminari said giving a slap at his back.
"Hey, Kirishima! Let's go to the waiting room." Jack said.
"Right bro!" The two of them headed to the waiting room to prepare themselves. While the two made their way to their destination, Iida suddenly received a phone call from his mother.
"I am sorry guys, but I need to take this phone call."
"Sure thing, Iida-Kun," Uraraka said to him. Iida then got up from his seat and headed inside the stadium's building. He found a set of stairs that he could use to answer his phone. After looking around, he answered the call from his mother.
"Hello, Mother. Is there something-"
"Tenya! You-your brother… he just got hospitalized…" After hearing this Iida immediately got shocked. He thought about what happened to his brother.
"I-I'll be right there!"
"Quickly! Me and your father were already here in Tokyo. The doctor said that your brother lost a lot of blood before he got to the hospital."
After that, the call was ended by his mother. He then put his phone in his pocket and head to his classmate's seats. When he arrived at his classmate's seats, he saw that Izuku has already gotten out from his surgery and was currently sitting beside Uraraka. Izuku was wearing two casts on both of his hands, indicating that the damage was severe.
"Midoriya-Kun! Are you ok?" Iida asked.
"Uhn. I'm fine but Recovery girl said to take it easily next time." Izuku said.
"Oh, good then."
"Hey Iida-Kun, what's wrong? You looked rather out of breath." Uraraka asked. Iida then motioned the two of them to follow him. Knowing that it is something private they obliged and got up from their seats.
At the arena, Jack was currently punching his way through Kirishima's defense.
"Come on, Hamada! I can tank your attacks with my quirk." The red-haired said. Jack then tried a different approach. He used his legs to get Kirishima stumbled from his stance. Then while still falling Jack venom jump so Kirishima was bought with him to the air and electrocuted. But Kirishima still held strong with his quirk. Jack then used a combination of punches and kicks to take down Kirishima while in the air.
"How about that Kirishima?!" Jack said between attacks.
"I can still keep going, Hamada!" Kirishima. He was blocking Jack's attacks with both of his arms covering his face and stomach. But Jack could see that Kirishima's quirk was beginning to decrease its hardness. Jack didn't want to hurt his friends turned to make Kirishima out of bounds.
With that thought in mind, while both were still in the air, Jack let out a blast of red electricity at the hardened Kirishima. The force of the blast was enough to blast Kirishima out of bounds making Jack the winner.
"Kirishima is out of bounds! Hamada is the winner!" Midnight declared.
The crowd cheered for Jack. Jack waved back but he immediately headed to Kirishima which his body was made a crater at the arena's wall. When he got to Kirishima, he helped him get off from a wall.
"Kirishima! Are you alright?" Jack said as he looked at his classmates for injuries.
"I-I'm fine Hamada! My quirk covered all the damaged." At his answer, Jack let out a breath.
"Well, I should leave you with the medical bots then. You were great out there Kirishima."
"Thanks, Hamada." He said with his sharp-toothy grin. The medical bots then hoisted Kirishima on a stretcher. After that, Jack headed to class 1-A's seats. When he arrived at his classmates congratulated him for his win, excluding Bakugo. He looked around but can not seem to find Uraraka, Iida, or Izuku. Jack then walked to his girlfriend to ask where were.
"Hey, Kyoka. Where's Iida, Izuku, and Uraraka?" He said as he sat beside his girlfriend.
"They were talking with Iida somewhere. I don't know to be exact."
"Oh ok,"
"By the way, you were great at the arena." She said as he looked at him with a smile.
"Thanks. I was very cautious when I fought my own classmates, even Bakugo. I know shouldn't hold back but I can't help it you know." He said scratching his back head.
"Wait… SO YOU WERE GOING EASY ON ME WEB-HEAD, THIS WHOLE TIME!?" Bakugo said angrily. He was about to lunge at Jack when Sato and Ojiro hold him, preventing him to lunge.
"Ehh… my bad?" Jack said with a shrug.
"I WANT A REMATCH!"
"No can do, TNT. You lost, remember? Maybe next time, alright?" Jack said in a playful tone. Everyone laughed at the exchange making Bakugo angrier.
"Uh… attention everyone. It has seemed that Iida Tenya will not be facing Todoroki Shoto. Due to family matters. So, the winner of this battle will be Todoroki Shoto everyone!" Midnight said.
"Wow, that is a piece of sudden information! Well then the finale will be a battle between the electro spider vs the half cold half hot student, Hamada Jack vs Todoroki Shoto will begin after a thirty minutes break." Present Mic said.
Their classmates were curious about Iida's sudden withdrawal from the battle tournament. Jack suspects that it's related to his three classmate's disappearance.
After about ten minutes Izuku and Uraraka came back. Jack looked at Izuku's expression to see that he was sad and Uraraka worried. Jack then asked the two after they got into their seats.
"So, where did you two go?"
Izuku and Uraraka shared a look for a second. Nodding to themselves, Izuku told Jack Iida situation, his parents called him because his brother got injured in his pro hero work and was attacked by a villain. His parents then asked him to go to the hospital where his brother was. Iida then asked Izuku and Uraraka to accompany him to get permission from Aizawa so that he could draw from the tournament.
"I see…" Jack said feeling sad after hearing the story.
"After that, Iida-Kun immediately went to his locker to change," Izuku said also feeling sad for his friend.
"He will be ok, right?" Uraraka asked them.
"I'm sure he will Uraraka," Jack said with a smile.
"Yeah. We can just hope that his brother will be okay." Kyoka said.
"Right," Izuku said. Jack looked at his brother's arms which the two of them wrapped with bandages and slings. His chest was also covered in bandages, which made Jack worried.
"You're ok Izuku?"
"I'm fine Jack."
"You sure?"
"Yes, I am sure. Well despite having scars between my fingers… but the rest? Y-yeah I will be fine."
"Good then."
After that, they will be waiting for the next match, which Jack was anticipating from the start and… worried about his own well-being.
'Let's just hope at the end I will not be a spider popsicle.' Jack thought, shivering from the idea.
30 Minutes later
"Alright, everyone! This is the finale of the sports festival. These two students had gone many obstacles in getting to this point. Here we have Hamada Jack vs Todoroki Shoto!" Present Mic said. The audience cheered at the two students.
"Hamada… I will not hold back. Prepare yourself." Shoto said.
"Heh. Sure, thing icy hot. Come at me with everything you got." Jack said.
"Ready… Start!" Midnight announced. Immediately Shoto let out a large ice attack at Jack. Jack straight on faced the wave of ice. He leaped high enough with the help of his burst of electricity so that he could vault the ice over and then he venom dashed at Shoto. Shoto quickly evades by immediately making an ice wall to block Jack's path at him.
Jack seeing this let out a burst of electricity to stop himself from getting impaled by the ice wall. Seeing this as an opportunity, Shoto ice-skates away from the electro spider to gain range for attacking Jack. After Shoto gained enough range, he let out another ice attack at Jack. The teen arachnid sensed the coming attack, he then venom jumped so he could avoid the huge waves of ice that came to him.
"Jeez, Todoroki! You should change your attacks. This is getting boring man!" Jack said while still in the air.
"Really? Then how about this?!" Shoto then creates ice spikes that he threw at Jack. Jack dodged the ice spikes easily. He then venom dashed a second time. Shoto knowing the next move Jack make quickly creates an ice wall again. But what happened was Jack vaulted the wall and then he quickly let out a blast of electricity at the ice emitter. The result was Shoto was blown away by Jack's attack and the ice wall he made was shattered. The ice emitter then created an ice pillar to prevent himself from going out of bounds.
Everyone around the arena was awestruck by the battle by the two powerful students in this year's sports festival. Class 1-A and Class 1-B were very curious about the end of the fight.
"Damn look at the fight. Man…" Sato Rikudo said.
"You've got that right. But I'm curious about the end results of the fight will be." Ojiro said.
"Deku-Kun, who do you think will win?" Uraraka said.
"I'm not so sure. With Jack, he could prove to be a very dangerous opponent if he was in a close fight and in range attack when he has his webs, not to mention his manipulation of electricity. The same with Todoroki-Kun, with his ice he could freeze Jack and with his fire, he could warm himself." Izuku said.
"That damn half and half… he still didn't use his fire…" Bakugo muttered.
Shoto quickly got up from his ice pillar. Jack was walking to him, red electricity was traveling across his hands. He needed to cool himself with his fire, but… he is still conflicted to use it again.
"What's wrong, Todoroki? Out of steam?" Jack said. He was making Shoto get him to use his fire again. Shoto was breathing out an icy breath and his right side was beginning to be encased by ice.
"Todoroki. If you want to win… you know you need to use your left, right?" Shoto after hearing that tensed up.
"… I understand you are still conflicted by that, but if you don't use it. I will end this match right here right now." Jack said as he started to run at Shoto. Shoto saw this suddenly used his fire. He shot the torrent of flames at Jack. Jack saw this began to grin. He jumped to avoid the flames.
"That's the spirit Todoroki! Be free, don't think your father. Right now, you just focus on winning this match!" Jack said while on the air. Shoto began to show a grin, he was right he's now feeling free, free from the shackles of his father. At this point… Jack regretted his choice in making Shoto use his fire again.
Jack quickly venom dashed at Todoroki while also avoiding his torrent of flames on the air. Evade to the right, twisting his body to avoid getting crisped at his hair, and evade to the left. Shoto seeing that his flames were expertly dodged by the teen arachnid, began to switch to his ice again. He created ice large waves of ice at the speeding bullet at Jack.
"Shit!" Jack said. He braced himself for the attack. He immediately felt his body was encased in ice. With the audience, everyone could see that the massive ice completely encased the electric arachnid. Shot let out a cold breath and immediately warmed himself off. He slowly walked to the encased ice to be certain that his opponent is defeated.
Suddenly the ice explodes with a burst of red electricity. Shoto braces himself from the sudden force. Chunks of ice were blown by the force of the discharge. After that, the electric arachnid prepared his final attack that will end this match. His body was flowing with red electricity and his eyes changed into dark red.
"Take this Todoroki! Venom Barrage!" Jack said. He threw bolts of electricity at Shoto. The bolts themselves were fast like missiles. Shoto immediately created an ice wall. The missile-like bolts were hitting the wall of ice hard, each hit was equivalent to a battering ram. The wall of ice was slowly being destroyed by Jack's missile-like bolts. Shoto kept creating ice to protect himself from Jack's attack. Then Jack with a shout let out a final burst of lightning at the wall.
The wall was destroyed and Shoto was blown away by its blast. Shoto, who was out of stamina, didn't manage to create another ice pillar for him to stop his movement. Shoto was thrown into a wall, out of the ring. After that, Jack powered down. His electricity began to get dimmer and his eyes returned to their normal blue eyes.
"Todoroki Shoto loses by out of bounds! Hamada Jack wins this battle tournament." Then immediately the audience around the stadium began to cheer at the electro arachnid. But Jack didn't care as he run at Shoto to see if he's alright. As he approached the teen, Jack was relieved that the icy-hot teen was ok, despite there being a few wounds from Jack's lightning.
"Todoroki! You're alright?" He said. Shoto opened his eyes and he looked at Jack.
"I'm fine, Hamada." He said. He tried to stand but he stumbled a bit. Jack got him before he was about to fall.
"Come on. Let me get you to Recovery Girl." He said. Shoto was about to retort but Jack's eyes told him to obey his orders. The duo then headed to the medical bay together. Present Mic made a comment at Jack saying that he has sportsmanship and Midnight was saying about 'kyaa—youth' something like that.
After the final tournament, the awards for first to the third place were held. Jack, placed first, was the winner of this year's sports festival. Second place was Shoto and third place was Kirishima. They were on a podium that overlooked the rest of the students on the field. Iida was supposed to be in third, but he was not present.
"Alright folks here they are, the students that placed at first to third in this sports festival." Midnight said.
"Now, for the medals, it will be given to the winners by your one and only-" Suddenly laughter was heard at the top of the stadium. Standing there was All Might himself, he then leaped from where he stood.
"I am here! With the medals!"
"-All Might!"
As All Might landed, his introduction was interrupted by Midnight. All Might look at R-rated heroine in an annoyed expression.
"Sorry…" she said.
'Hahaha, damn what a gag.' Jack thought chuckling at the scene.
All Might then gave the first medal to Tokoyami. All Might put the bronze medallion on Tokoyami's neck.
"Young Kirishima, congratulations." He said.
"Thank you All Might sir!" All Might also give Kirishima a hug.
"You are strong, young Kirishima. However, in order to fight well, you should increase your other areas such as stamina and endurance. Other than that, good job."
Kirishima had stars on his eyes as All Might said that.
"So… Manly…" he said, a single tear fell from the corner of his eyes.
All Might then move at the icy-hot teen and put the silver medal at Shoto's neck.
"Congratulations, young Todoroki."
"Thank you, All Might."
"At the start of the festival, you didn't use your left side. But then at the finals, you finally used your left. I'm assuming there's a reason you did that?"
"I have the opportunity to use my left with Midoriya. Still, I'm unsure, then Hamada told me to be free. At that moment… I could use my fire without needing to care for the old man." He said. Jack widened his eyes and smiled.
"I think… I know why you are interested in the two of them. I wanted to become a hero like you, but I don't think it's fair that I'm the only one to break away."
"There is still something that I need to settle." He said. Jack noticed that his eyes have changed. Once hatred, but now it showed determination.
"The looked on your face is different from before. I won't ask for any details, but I'm sure that you will be able to do what you need to do." All Might said, giving Shoto a hug.
"Yes." He said.
Finally, All Might, with the gold medal in hand, put the medal on Jack's neck.
"Congratulations, young Hamada."
"Thank you, sensei."
"You have great strength, young Hamada. With the experience, you've gained you won the sports festival. I hope the world will know about the future pro hero, Spider-Man." He said, giving a hug also at Jack.
"Yeah, I'm glad I've won. I just hope Peter, Miles, and my parents can see me now," he said with a sad smile.
"I'm sure they will be proud, young Hamada." All Might said putting a hand at the electro-arachnid teen.
"Sure thing, sir"
All Might then turned to the audience around the stadium and the students.
"Here we are the winners of this year's sports festival. But listen here, anyone could have ended up upon these podiums. It's just as you saw… Competing! Improving each other! And climbing even further. The next generation of heroes is definitely sprouting!" he said. He pointed his finger at the sky.
"So, I just have one more thing to say! Everyone, please say it with me! Ready go-!?"
"Pluss ultra!/"—thank you for your hard work!"
Silence.
"EHH ALL MIGHT! YOU SHOULD'VE SAID PLUSS ULTRA!" The audience around the stadium said.
"Well… I thought everyone worked hard…" All Might said. At that, Jack couldn't take it anymore as he laughed at the podium.
'Ahh… What a laugh. I wish Miles were here-", His spider-sense then flared. He looked around for the danger. Then suddenly, there was a blue portal in the sky. Everyone at the stadium saw this too. But what came from the portal were two individuals. One was a man with an appearance of a monstrous lizard. And the other one… Jack recognized so much. This one wore a skin-tight black suit with a big red-spider emblem. He wore a mask with a red cobweb design. Jack widened his eyes at the two newcomers and the blue portal where they had just come out. The two were falling and fighting each other. The other person, with the skin-tight suit, punched the lizard person.
"Wha-what is that!" Kirishima said.
"I don't know…" Shoto said.
"No, it cannot be… Miles!" Jack said. The other classmates looked at Jack.
"All Might!" Jack said. All Might nodded his head and leaped to the air. The lizard widened his eyes, it kicked the skin-tight person from him so it could get away. Then suddenly another portal popped up. This one had purple in color. The portal swallowed the lizard person. All Might was too late to catch the lizard person, but he managed to catch the other. The blue portal that the two where they just came out disappeared shortly.
"Wow! Hey, man?!" The skin-tight person said.
"Are you alright?" All Might said as they landed on the ground. Jack and the other two headed to them.
"Miles!" Jack said. The skin-tight person known as Miles Morales looked at the source of the voice. His masked eyes were widened. He immediately run at Jack and hugged him.
"Jack! Oh my god. Is it really you!?" He said as he let go of Jack.
"Yeah, it's me."
"But you died, man! How?" Miles said.
"I know. I could say the same thing about you."
"Well then… how about we talked about this matter in another place?" All Might said.
"Wait who is that?" Miles said.
"I'll explain later- Wait! How are you understanding them? They are using Japanese?!" Jack said.
"Universal translator, Jack." He said. After that, they wrap up the sports festival. For now, with the arrival of two spider-man from Jack's dimension and the other villains in a world full of super-powered people. Things will get to be… Interesting.

Sorry for the long upload, I was working in another story called "The Half Nephilim: Son of Death" that's why this story was put in hiatus, but here it is.
Oh yeah! I just watched Spider-Man: No Way Home. And I tell you, the movie was amazing, spectacular, funny, and worth watching. Now, I am not going to spoil the movie, but I will tell you this… watch the movie people!
