Roxy's Point of View

I had been trying to explain again and again why we use phrases like brain fart until I finally thought he got it.

"Oh," He said when I got to him, "Well why didn't you just explain it that way?"

We were in a room with some computers right now that Caius had told me about during my questioning of the castle's hundreds of guest rooms. I searched up some old phrases that people used back then and then translated it from ancient Greek to English, so I could use it in a way that I could understand. I wasn't sure why I hadn't thought of it before. It would have saved me thirty minutes of frustration.

"For your information, I was explaining it in that way for the last thirty minutes."

Not exactly true, I was trying to use expressions I knew and tell him their meaning in hopes that he would eventually get it, but comparison seemed to help the most. All it took to explain it was saying tomato tahmatoe, and six in one hand half a dozen in the other. I actually felt a bit cheated that the answer to his question was that simple.

"Do you want to engage in some human watching?" I asked him.

"What? Is this another one of your odd modern phrases?" That was fair, I meant my pastime of watching humans.

"No, it's like bird watching, but you watch humans instead." Aaaaand, now he looked confused.

"Why would I watch humans?" Well, people in France do it.

"It passes time?" I offered.

He sighed, "Is this some human fad?" I mean yeah, "In France it is."

"But you're not French." He insisted, "Well of course I'm not French, or else I would be thinking in a foreign language thank goodness! Or I might not understand it." He sighed again, "If you were French you would think in French like you would English. That's the point of fluency."

"It wouldn't be the same," I insisted, "French is a bunch of weird noises that are stringed together."

He raised an eyebrow at me, something I couldn't do and felt a bit touchy about, "Isn't that what all languages in fundamentals are?" He asked sarcastically, "Yeah, but it would still be different that's why there considered different languages."

"Perhaps but they are all technically noises generally recognized in your area." Technically we were both right, "Okay, now that that's been settled. About my human watching idea." I said, "And how would we do that?"

"Easy, we just watch people. Come on, the ledge in my room has view of the square, it'll be fun!" I said as I made my way to the door. Caius getting up from chair to follow me. I opened the door and walked into the hallway. There were people there, oddly they had yellow eye's which struck me as bizarre. The blonde was quite pretty, and with the other; the only thing that seemed to get to me was the sheer size, the dude was as big as Felix.
