"If men found out we can rearrange the bones on our face we're finished. We might as well pack our bags and go to the nunnery! They'll be nothing left for us here!" -Salior J (on contouring)

Flashback

It was suprisingly easy for her to leave her old life behind.

Paige was disappointed that she would no longer have a chance to finish her education but she had a feeling the people she left behind would've abandoned her anyway when they'd learnt of the child growing in her womb. That dispite her horrific abuse she'd been determined to keep regardless of her doctor's assurance that no one would judge her if she decided to terminate. She was a victim after all. But so was the child.. and the father.

Paige had decided that something beautiful should allowed to blossom from their trauma. Though she'd never met the man that sired her child and certainly didn't want to risk running into her abuser in the hunt for her child's father she'd felt connected to him in a way she'd never felt to anyone else even before she even found our that she was with child.

She hoped that whoever and wherever he was that he'd found peace and love.

As her belly grew Paige found more and more ways to hide her true identity. She was no longer Paige Ryan but was now instead Paige Dineen. No longer did she sport a bleach blonde ponytail but instead sported a shorter feathered cut in darker shades with a fringe that aged her by a few years. Armed with a contour stick and pallette she became unrecognisable as the innocent girl she'd once been. She'd not given up on her dream to become a singer and felt more and more confident that she could keep her identity a secret and follow her own path.

Little did she know hiding was pointless. The stranger that haunted her nightmares had never lost sight of where she was. The fact that she'd cut all ties with her former life would make it all the more easier to manipulate her later.

End of flashback

She was taking back control.

Thanks to her counselling from Toby the nightmares were less frequent. Though she didn't tell him they'd been replaced with visions of her Boss wet from the shower wearing nothing but a bathrobe.

She'd altered her appearance once again. But this time it wasn't a barrier, a disguse to hide behind but the person she truly wanted to be. As Paige threw away her contouring makeup she smiled as she realised something...

She'd began to love herself once again.

Walter, to his credit, took to the idea of being a dad with gusto and pride. He and Ralph were almost impossible to deal with in their wait for the DNA test results. Having the confirmation that he was indeed Ralph's biological father brought Walter to tears of happiness. Paige had thought she'd never see a positive emotion so strongly in him.

They'd hidden the true reason for the need for a DNA test from Ralph. He didn't need to know of their troubled past. Instead Walter easily convinced him that the reason the DNA was necessary was that they'd only just recently realised they'd potentially had a drunken one night stand together years before and the lack of his complete recall was why Walter didn't drink anymore. Ralph didn't question it. Why would a adult lie about having drunken sex after all?

Paige and Walter spoke candidly in secret about their abuse and how it still affected them. Fortunately Walter was still oblivious to the level of Mark's depravity. He had no idea that Collins had touched him in anyway apart from what he'd needed to carry out his plan for a 'super child' and no one but Mark could tell him otherwise.

Walter found himself conflicted. He loved Ralph and Paige more than life itself and found he was disgusted with himself because he struggled to be upset over his own past when what had come from it brought him so much joy.

Walter told her of the timing he started to reject touch. Grimacing as he thought of the sick feeling that rolled in his stomach and the cold dread he faced whenever someone got into his personal space and his confusion when they'd met that it didn't apply to Paige and her son.

Walter just wished Paige had not been put through the trauma she had gone through and had been shielded from the abuse as he had. The more he heard about what Paige had gone through the more he hated he former partner. His hatred for the bespectacled man coursing through every inch of his body.

Later he smiled indulgently at Paige when she told him of her previous dreams to become a singer though he'd never had any interest in the musical arts beforehand when she sang to him Walter thought he'd never heard anything so beautiful. He encouraged her to pursue her dreams if that's what she truly wanted but at that moment Paige realised that all she ever wanted was her family. Her Cyclone.

That night was the first time they'd kissed. Hungry and desperate for each other. They'd previously agreed to go slow as they healed together but the second their lips had touched all logical thought went out the window. They almost devoured each other in their desperation for the other and came apart in each others hands. As Walter licked her sweet juices from his fingers Paige thought she'd never seen anything so hot in her life.

Far away alarms were blaring as the bodies of two men were discovered. A guard and a prisoner were surrounded by blood that coated every surface. Even the walls weren't free from the crimson liquid- yet the manner it was there much more deliberately placed. For on the wall written in blood were the numbers 197.

The guard that found them struggled not to throw up as he accidently stood on something he'd not noticed previously- it was a heart.
