Here's the rewrite! I changed the story title and I'm changing the chapter names as well, so I hope it's suitable. It is late as I'm writing this, so I'm going to leave this here for you. I hope you all enjoy!
"Come on, Sara!" The young, impatient voice of Alexa echoed through the house. "We're gonna be late!"
"I'm coming! Just hang on!" Sara's voice rang out. The young 15 year old descended down the stairs. She was proudly wearing dark brown tights, brown boots with the fuzzy faux fur covering the top, a faded blue long-sleeve tunic that was defiantly too big for her and cut off at her knees, luckily she also wore an off white under shirt, it was cold out, so she decided the extra layer would be nice. She had a brown belt secured around her waist, and an over-sized faux fur vest. Her long, dark brown hair had been done in a side braid and had a small silver locket on.
"So, what do you think?" She asked her younger sister.
"You look like you just got out of a time machine from the Viking era." She said with a deadpan stare.
"That's the idea." The older girl said in a sing-songy voice, not caring for her sister's lack of reaction.
"We're just going to see a movie at Mary's house. You didn't have to dress up." Alexa pointed out, rubbing her temples.
"Well then, you shouldn't have told me that the movie we're watching is How To Train Your Dragon." She said in a 'matter-of-fact' tone.
Alexa rolled her eyes and gave an annoyed grunt. "Let's just go."
"Oh, wait!" Sara rushed back up the stairs and into her room, grabbing a brown leather satchel from its spot on her bed and slung it over her head before running back down the stairs. She got an 'are you serious?' look from the other girl. "What? I like to be accurate." She defended with a pout.
"Is there anything else?" She asked, seemingly losing her patience.
Looking over herself one last time, Sara smiled brightly at her sister. "Nope, I'm good."
"'Kay." Alexa wondered if she really was the younger sister while she opened the door and gestured for the Viking wannabe to go first. "After you, Hicca."
It was now the elder's turn to roll her eyes. "Oh, shut up," The girl's grin turned mischievous before she added, "Alexy~." She then sprinted down to the sidewalk, knowing the rage she had just induced into her sister.
"HEY!" Alexa yelled, quickly giving chase. "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT CALLING ME 'ALEXY'?!"
~~~~~line break~~~~~~
A smug smile grew on Sara's face when she saw her poor sister panting heavily from chasing her all the way to Mary's house. It took all of her willpower to not outright laugh at her sister's suffering. Alexa lifted her head up, her face filled with a seething rage as she tried to get words out.
"I." She said once she got a breath. "Declare! Vengeance!"
"Of course." The other said, turning around to knock on the door.
The door opened and a familiar redheaded, green eyed girl smiled at the two. "Hey, Sara." She said. "Hey, Alexa."
"He-e-e-y." Alexa weakly greeted.
"Called her 'Alexy'." She said at the sight of her exhausted friend with no question in her voice.
"Yep." Sara smiled.
"Chased you down the sidewalk."
"Yep."
"Declaration of vengeance."
"Yep."
Mary let out an exasperated sigh. "Would you like to come in?" She asked, moving aside to let the two sisters walk in.
"Thank you." Sara said with a skip in her step. Alexa followed in after.
"How does she have so much energy still!?" Alexa questioned when she met her friend at the door.
"Well, she's your sister." Mary said.
"What's that supposed to mean? I mean, seriously. She's not in any sports!"
Mary only shook her head as she lead her friend in and closed the door.
"Take a seat on the couch. I already got the popcorn ready." Mary said. Alexa flopped onto the couch in an exhausted heap, Sara sat down next to her with an amused grin. The Viking obsessed teen practically bounced in her seat, even though she has seen the movie, along with its sequels, over a hundred times.
"This is gonna be awesome." Alexa rolled her eyes at her sister's statement. Sara shrugged her shoulders in question. "What? I can't help it if this is my favorite movie of all time."
"If you keep getting all excited about the movie, you might get sucked into the movie." Alexa teased.
"That would be. So. Awesome!" Sara loved the idea. Even if it was just a fantasy, it would be a dream come true to meet all her favorite characters. And maybe punch her not-so-favorite characters as well.
"Still just a daydream." Alexa continued to tease, making her sister pout.
"Don't ruin my mood." Sara stuck her tongue out at the other before she went back to her daydream about the movie.
"Okay, who's ready to watch How To Train Your Dragon?" Mary asked as she walked back into the living room with a big bowl of popcorn in her arms.
"I am!" The Viking girl cheered, jumping up on the couch. Her satchel was still on when the flap opened up and something fell out with a clack as it hit the wooden floor. Looking down, she saw that it was a long, thin wand. Although not a real one, like she had thought before, it gave the girl something to hold onto during tense moments in movies. For as thin as it was, the wand was surprisingly durable.
"Seriously, Sara?" Alexa groaned at the sight of the wand. "You brought that?"
"What!? I like it. It feels weird when I don't have it in my hands." She explained.
"Just don't cast a spell on the T.V. to make it play How To Train Your Dragon over and over again." She said in a sarcastic tone.
"Bibbidi bobbidi boo!" Sara said in her own equally sarcastic tone, waving the wand towards the T.V.
"Wrong company!" Alexa exclaimed.
Mary sat herself down between the two sisters. She giggled to herself, silently enjoying their sisterly quarrel. She set the popcorn bowl down on the coffee table and pressed play. Although it was after she pressed the play button that something started to happen. Sara's wand began to glow a forest green color, the other two girls stood up in shock.
"Uuuuh, hey, what's going on?" She asked, but only receiving confused and frightened looks from her sister and friend as they stood in the room.
"What's happening!?" Alexa yelled, scared at what was happening to her sister
"I don't know!" Mary yelled back.
"Guys!" Sara called out to her friends as she felt herself being pulled by the wand.
The glow from the wand began to brighten, engulfing Sara in a blinding white light. The last thing she heard was her name being called out by Mary and Alexa, feeling like she was falling, before completely blacking out.
