Zayden Flame

Chapter 4 – The Disappearance

Percy POV

I suddenly heard a loud wail, and my hurricane dissipated. I got up, worry outweighing my sorrow as I realized that my baby sister might still be alive. Somehow, the living room was still completely intact, and as I looked around, I spotted a tiny moving blanket that seemed to be screaming and shrieking, resting on the sofa.

Slowly, I walked towards it, trying not to get my hopes up too high. But for once, I was rewarded with seeing my little sister, almost unscathed somehow, and I cried out in disbelief and happiness. I was about to pick her up, when I felt a presence behind me.

I immediately spun around, uncapping Riptide, and got in a battle position, ready to defend my sister at all costs. Instead of a monster though, I saw Lady Hestia, her eyes blotchy and red from crying. After the Giant War, we had gotten very close, and my mom became like a sister to her.

I silently capped my sword, and, my tears reignited, ran into Hestia for a hug, which she gladly returned. We were both hiccupping and sobbing, as we shared a tender moment, before my tears disappeared again, and it turned instead to anger instead. 'Don't worry, Aunt Hestia, I'll make sure they will pay for what they did!' I told her, and released a massive wave of power again.

'I'm sorry Percy, but there's no time for that! Zeus has declared you an enemy of Olympus, and the order is out for you to be restrained and brought to Olympus on sight.' Hestia was crying again by the time she finished.

'WHAT? But why the hell would Zeus give an order like that? What did I ever do to him?!'

'Percy, look at what you unleashed when you created that hurricane,' Hestia summoned an Iris Message screen showing me remains of Manhattan. Central Park was completely destroyed; all the trees uprooted, and the ground was just soggy mud. In Times Square, nothing was left of the buildings, and there was no traffic, as there were no roads left.

'H-how is that possible Aunt Hestia? Did anyone die?'

'No, we gods managed to flash everyone a safe place on the other side of the city. But hurry now. Hermes will be here any minute.' She held out her hand to me, a reassuring smile on her teary face. I took her hand, and immediately the room disappeared.

-Line Break-

Third Person POV

The room disappeared, and they were suddenly shooting through an eerie darkness, with little spots light dotted around here and there. As suddenly as the ride had started, it stopped, and Percy fell to his knees, and threw up. On he had recovered control over his complaining stomach, he turned to Hestia, and said, 'What on earth was that?!'

Hestia winced, and replied, 'Sorry Percy. I forgot the first time always makes you throw up.'

'It's okay Aunt Hestia. But… where are we?' Percy asked, looking around him. They seemed to be inside a much larger version of the Olympian Throne room, and that room had been massive to begin with.

'We are in the Throne Room of the Original Primordials.'

'…Who?'

'You know the Primordials that exist on our world? The original 6, Nyx, Erebus, Ourea, Tartarus, Gaia and Ouranos, who created our world?'

Percy replied, with a grimace on his face at the thought of Nyx, Tartarus, and Gaia, 'Yes, I think I am quite familiar with them.'

Hestia winced, and said, 'Sorry. Anyway, as I was saying, those Primordials weren't the originals. There were actually only ever 4 Primordials, Gaia and Ouranos and all of them are simply second generation Primordials. The original four Primordials are Chaos, Beginning, Order, and End. They are also known as the Primordial Lords –'

'Wait, wait, wait, you're saying that there were beings before even Nyx? And they created her?'

Hestia sighed, and replied, 'Yes Percy, there were beings before Nyx and Gaia. And as I was saying, there was a child born to Chaos, who was the last of the second generation of Primordials, who dwarfed his peers in terms of sheer power. His name was Abbadon, and he was the Primordial Lord of the Void and Balance. However, there was a child born to Chaos, who was the last of the second generation of Primordials, who dwarfed his peers in terms of sheer power. His name was Abbadon, and he was the Primordial Lord of the Void and Balance.'

'OK, so why are you telling me about him?' Percy asked.

'Because, Percy, Abbadon was hated by other six for his power and might, and they tried came together to attempt to destroy him, but he was too powerful, so all they could manage was to trap him in our world, and create life so he could be reborn and be stuck there for all eternity. They also stayed there and to guard him in case he ever escaped. Ouranos, Ourea and Erebus faded, so Gaia, Tartarus and Nyx are the only 3 left and they appeared for the first time in millennia, simply to destroy one demigod son of Poseidon. Why do you think that is?'

'Y-you think I am Abbadon?!' This was too much for Percy, after his horrible and grief-stricken day, and he passed out.
