A/N: I'M BACKKKKK! I'm really sorry for those who have wait a long time for this next chapter but please forgive me because I have just entered college and its my first year and things got really hectic and stuff BUT to make up for the time I went AFK here is a hefty chapter
Also please forgive me if the writing style in the last part went horribly weird I got a little rusty at writing stories but alas I hope you enjoy this weeks Chapter

"Hello everyone I think you already know who I am" He smiled "Haha the names Red Isamu the champion of the Kanto region"
When Red finally introduced himself the three froze from THE legendary Red, the Kanto's regional Champ, A pokemon master, and so many more titles under his belt
"Whoa I've never met the Champion in my own region…" Ash gawking at red, it was true since he didn't come close to reaching the finals
"So, tell me what happened why the Froakie was in danger" Red looked at his son wanting to know why he was screaming when he came to the lab and why he was holding a fainted pokemon
"Well, you see-" Calem was about to talk when professor Sycamore entered the room
"Everyone I'd like you all to see Froakie" He said hoping that they would give Froakie the fighting spirit it needs. But Calem already rushed to the hallway even though he didn't knew where Froakie was "He's in the treatment Lab on the Far end!"
He reached the room directed by Prof. Sycamore it looked like a waiting/guest room it had a small table at a corner and bookshelves with sorts of pokemon research as Calem deduced, because at the right of it, was another room a special built unit for care and treatment for pokemon. Calem got close to the mirror separating the treatment room chamber, he saw Froakie still unconscious and laid on its belly
"You'll be fine right buddy?" Calem felt really guilty not anticipating the Destiny bond, Froakie took one for the team when Riolu was supposed to be hit
"I guess it likes you…" Professor Sycamore said while standing on the door frame
"What?" Calem was lost
"It likes you, that pokemon right there is a special one" Prof. Sycamore stood next to Calem and faced Froakie "Most of them abandon Froakie because he always leaves the trainer behind. But when it gets abandoned, it always comes back to me"
Calem was at loss for words what kind of trainer abandons their pokemon. What he has seen with his father, he and his Charizard were so close they're practically inseparable, Calem also does this to Riolu other than the fact Riolu was his first pokemon, Calem just couldn't think about abandoning a pokemon just there releasing them to the wild was different he knew that act was so different than just leaving a pokemon behind
"Let's all have some tea, shall we?" Prof. Sycamore obliged gesturing towards the mini table
An assistant brought a tea for the group Red, Ash, and Bonnie followed Prof. Sycamore and sat down at the table, but Calem remained at the mirror still worried at the poor pokemon
"So, allow me to Formally introduce myself I'm Prof. Sycamore, I'm a researcher here at Kalos region" Prof. Sycamore greeted as he sets his cup of tea
"My name is Ash Ketchum and this is Pikachu" Ash greeted back and gestured towards Pikachu which greeted with a "Pika!"
"I'm Bonnie and this is my big brother" Bonnie introduced herself
"My name is Clemont, Nice to meet you Professor" Clemont said
"How about tell me a little about yourselves" Prof. said while drinking his tea
"I arrived here from Pallet Town in Kanto just like Mr. Red and Calem here" Ash smiled knowing he came from the same town as Red and Calem "I'm continuing my training, towards my journey to become a Pokemon Master"
"Hmm interesting" Red thought because could he be a rival to Calem just like him and Blue "Now I miss that guy"
"Wow I've met three people from another region in one day" Prof. Smiled it wasn't usual to meet a person from another region. most of the people flew to Kalos only to ask for a starter pokemon "By the way thank you for saving Froakie back there"
"Actually, it was Calem who saved us from a pinch and brought this Froakie here" Ash told as everyone looked at Calem who was still staring at Froakie "Excuse me Professor but can you tell us why Froakie is always being abandoned"
"Well, you see… It's my duty to give new Trainers their first Pokemon, but that little one is a little bit eccentric it always gets into trouble, doesn't listen to its trainer, runs off without a trainer. Like I told earlier Many people have chosen Froakie but sadly they abandon it"
Calem cringed at the last statement who in their right mind was going to abandon their pokemon, he thought about the fact that Froakie doesn't listen but that's not a big reason to abandon it he knew Froakie felt that it was testing the trainers trust if it was worthy for him, and that test was important it falls if the trainer is able to connect deeply with the pokemon it started with
"I heard there were rumors like that about Pokemon acting like that, but what's more shocking that its true" Clemont stated
"It's all stupidity!" Calem snapped "If the trainer just gives up on its pokemon how will it be able to trust people. People and pokemon should be in harmony they're supposed to be synchronized that's what a true trainer is. It takes one after another to build this trust, to mold it, to understand each other"
They all looked at Calem, what he said was true people should give their best to their pokemon even if they act like that, how will it be able to trust if we won't work hard
"Calm down Calem. It's good to know you still follow your own path" Red stood up and laid a hand on Calem's shoulder
They were all silent until a Garchomp appeared, it entered the room and looked at Froakie. The Garchomp was worried based on the action it was doing towards the glass. Ash and his friends got excited when they saw Garchomp they immediately stood up.
"That's a Garchomp!" Ash was in awe to see a familiar pokemon
"That's our Garchomp, it's a calm and loving pokemon here" Prof said as he walked towards it, he patted his head "Garchomp, how are you doing?"
The pokemon replied with a soft roar but turned its attention to Froakie when it opened its eyes again for a moment
"Don't' worry Froakie will be fine" he reassured "We have Calem, Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie to thank for"
The pokemon turned towards the trainers and felt more comfortable with them
"Nice to meet you Garchomp, you're so nice but Froakie will be fine" Ash and Pikachu pets Garchomp
"Professor, may I pet it too? I've never seen a real Garchomp before" Bonnie giddily asked
"Feel Free, Garchomp would like it" Prof. said as he raised Bonnie so she could reach the head of Garchomp, she petted it until she was satisfied
"Professor, your research mainly revolves around Pokemons evolution, right?" Clemont asks if he was right
"Yes, but now it's not only me" He looked at Red and Red continued "You see that's the reason why we moved here to Kalos region"
Everyone was fascinated that the regional Champ was also researching about evolutions
"How about we show them the other pokemons Professor" Red smirked full knowingly they would enjoy the scenery from there
"I want to see them!" Bonnie excitingly said
"Is that so? Let's go and have a look at them, then" Professor obliges "Cosette can you assist us and take care of Garchomp?"
An assistant of Professor entered the room and led the way outside. Ash, Clemont and Bonnie got excited already accompanying Professor outside. Calem and Red were left behind, while Calem not leaving the same spot he was in
"You did good…" Red calmly said he knew this was eating him up, who would have guessed Calem was infuriated by the things happened in one day
"How did I do good? Dad this Froakie got knocked out because of me, because I wasn't able to protect it" Calem feeling his rage came to a boil "Why? Why can't I be good?"
"If only I was like you! If only I could do what you can do!" He raged on, he didn't know what was stirring him up, why he's so Angry "If I just had the skills, I might be good enough to save Froakie"
Red was a little bit surprised "So this was killing him…" he didn't know what to say, so he just hugged Calem "You're already good enough… and you did save him that's why he's here resting"
Red looked at Froakie "It took one for the team because it looks up to you, believes in you… Give some thought about that, just come to the lab if you feel like it" and with that he left the room leaving Calem in his own thoughts
"Was I good enough Riolu?" He asked looking down on the blue canine, it was surprise he finally noticed the presence of the Pokemon that it didn't left its side ever since
Riolu gave a resounding roar that cheered up Calem
"So much for being a Jr. League Champion" He said to himself, he looked at Froakie one more time "I'll see you later buddy" he smiled as he left
As he left Froakie regained consciousness and looked at its surroundings
Red arrived at the Lab with the environment to nurturing Pokemon, he saw Ash and Bonnie were playing around with pokemon while Clemont was talking to the professor
"Look Ash! There's even more over there" Bonnie notices while holding a zigzagoon
"Oh hey Mr. Red" Clemont greeted "Is Calem still looking out for Froakie?"
"Yah but don't worry he'll come around he always does" Red simply stated
They were all enjoying the scenery that was happening in the lab they couldn't hold back the enjoyment seeing new and re occurring pokemon running around
"Professor, what kind of research are you doing on evolutions?" Ash asked, no one has asked what kind of research were they conducting
"If I told you guys that Pokemon has an additional evolutionary stage, would you believe me?" Prof. smiled while Red smiled, it was true he experienced the Mega Evolution since he was a kid by receiving the mysterious stone from Mr. Fuji.
"An additional evolution stage?" Ash repeated
"Do you mean Garchomp can still evolve?" Clemont got more curious was it true a transcendent on evolution?
"There's a possibility" They were shocked at the revelation of the professor "It's been reported to happen to a number of pokemons among researchers, it's called-"
"Mega Evolution" A teen said, they all looked back and Red's smirk got wider, Calem finally arrived at the laboratory
"Mega Evolution…" Ash once again repeated
"Correct, there are still many mysteries to the mechanism, but it is believed that a special stone and the bond between a Pokemon and its Trainer are crucial for the evolution" Professor smiled as he finished, the word 'Bond' resonated through all of them was it true that the connection between the trainer and the pokemon would be the foundation of the transcendence "Not only that, but to our surprise, they appear to turn back to their previous forms after evolving"
"What? Returning after evolving?" Ash was surprised, everyone thought that once a pokemon evolved it could never devolve
"That's why it's crucial to know the process and mechanism" Red chimed in, he pulls out a pokeball and showed it to everyone "Like my Charizard here, I once used mega evolution to my advantage when I was in a critical moment"
He smiled remembering the battles he had with legendary pokemons
"Um… Mr. Red? Can I have a pokemon battle with you?" Ash eagerly asked with Pikachu pitching in with a lively 'Pika'
Red looked at Calem as he was looking at his dad, he shrugged his shoulder he didn't have anything to say it was his dad's fight "Uh… Do you really want to?"
"OFCOURSE!" Ash got much more excited he didn't have a chance to challenge a gym leader in Kalos for now, and he sure didn't have any chance to fight the Kanto champion "This is it Pikachu the fight that we didn't have!"
Red smiled as he was uncomfortable how will he fight Pikachu, but that's not he should be thinking about right now a trainer challenged him so he should be proud and accept it with no holding back
"Alright this is a one-on-one fight between Ash Ketchum and Red Isamu" Clemont announced "Trainers ready your pokemon!"
"Let's do this Pikachu!" Ash said as Pikachu hopped to the front line
"Well then it looks like I'm at a type disadvantage" Red smirked but he knew he something up in his sleeve, Calem noticed it and thought "It's over…"
"Go Charizard!" He threw his pokeball and a massive dragon (not really) appeared in front of his that let out a powerful roar
"It looks tough…" Ash thought it wasn't going to be an easy fight
"Battle begin!" Clemont signaled as his hand initiated the fight
"Pikachu! Start with a thunderbolt!" Ash commanded as Pikachu jumped in the air and a steam of lighting headed to Red's Charizard
"Again, with an opening of an Elec type… but considering dad's Charizard it's a good move, with Charizard's Flying type" Calem thought as he analyzed the fight
"So, what do you think Calem?" Clemont asked as he watched the fight
Calem looked at him and sighed "I just hope dad doesn't pull 'that' move"
They looked curious as Professor just continued to watch the fight
Charizard took the hit from Pikachu it was a powerful bang as it made a cloud of smoke "Nice hit Pikachu!" but as the smoke cleared, he was shocked "Not even a scratch…"
Red grinned now it was his turn "Smokescreen" he instructed as Charizard's mouth got big and released a cloud of thick black smoke
"Be careful Pikachu" Ash got warry of the field looking left and right to see where the next attack would be
"Fire blast" he instructed, out of nowhere in the fog a 'Ka' symbol made out of fire pierced through the smoke and hit Pikachu real hard
"Clouding Pikachu's vision with a smokescreen and using a low accuracy move, typical dad…" Calem said as he crossed his arms
Clemont noticed Calem's boredom, it felt like he has seen this move before this strategy, he admitted Red was smart using that smokescreen and then Fire blast. Was this the skill of the consecutive Champion?
"Oh no Pikachu!" Ash said but Pikachu proved to Ash he wasn't just a pushover, although Pikachu was breathing heavily "That's Pikachu for you! How bout we strike back with a volt tackle"
"High-risk, high-reward move? Or are you plotting something ash?" Calem thought what are the possible ways Ash could land powerful hits
Pikachu started to gather energy and ran fast as it could and finally it built up an electric field to hit Charizard but unfortunately Charizard went for a defensive stance and held back the Tackle, but it's a good thing for Ash
"Now Pikachu! Use Electroball!" he commanded as Pikachu's tail made a sphere of electricity
"That again! An electro ball at point blank range!?" Just as he recalled earlier ash did same move to Clemont when his Bunnelby caught Pikachu's tail
Charizard stood and took the blast, Ash got excited because he thought he had this one in the bag
"Congrats… but the fight isn't over yet" Red said, Charizard looked heavily damaged but this was the perfect opportunity to show off his trump card
"Let's do this Charizard!" Red Smiled, he was going to finish this fight right here right now. He pulled out a small glowing stone and Charizard looked back then began to glow. An energy aura engulfed Charizard and some kind of growth changed Charizard, when it was finished all of their eyes widened
Charizard's color changed into black and blue, its mouth had fire now and its tail had a blue fire "So this is…" Clemont mumbled but enough for Calem to hear
"Mega Evolution" he said calmly "It was already over, why did you even pull out that move?"
"Well Ash it was a fun battle but as I said I won't hold back" Red walked forward as Ash was ready to take the final move
Calem started to head back to the lab where Froakie was taken, as their attention focused more on the mega evolution Riolu followed its trainer and looked back a little and ran to Calem's side
"Alright Charizard let's make this a flashy ending use one last Mega Punch!" Red Shouted and Charizard heeded and roared that they never had heard, it jumped close to Pikachu while its fist started to lit up
Pikachu tried to escape but unfortunately Charizard's speed was so fast that it couldn't out run Charizard's Mega punch, Pikachu was flung back to Ash and caught him with his body both of them fell down and accepted their defeat
"Good work Pikachu" Ash smiled in defeat he thought "I guess this is the reason why he is the champion"
Professor clapped for the amazing feat both trainers showcased was so powerful no words could describe it all he did was applaud the battle
"Well, that's that" Ash huffed
"Sorry about that" Red walked to Ash and gave him a hand on getting up, Ash still cradled Pikachu in his arm telling it, it did good
"So, this is the Mega Evolution!" Clemont said as he got close to Charizard but soon after it reverted back to its original form "Wait he became his previous evolution again"
"This is our research project today to study Mega Evolution" Professor interjected and smiled to Clemont
They didn't know what was Mega Evolution but with the help of Red's Charizard they might speed up the process
As the people discuss about the battle and evolution that happen there happened to be eavesdropper on the area
"Did you see that, James? That Charizard Mega Evolved" A Magenta haired female who was peeking through the sky window
"I bet boss would be happy if we land a steal on that" A familiar Blue haired male next to a Meowth and Wobbuffet
"Kyuk Kyuk I have the perfect plan for that" Meowth schemed in a grin
Calem got to the treatment room and looked and looked for Froakie, but to his surprise he was not in the capsule, he initially didn't panic he scanned the area where Froakie might have hid, but to his dismay it was nowhere to be found
"This is bad let's search around the lab Riolu!" Calem told Riolu as they were starting to tense up in the situation
On the front door of the lab 3 people entered wearing white lab coats and shouted for attention
"All right! Hello! Hello!" A Magenta haired woman called
"We've come to do our research on Mega Evolutions!" A Blue haired man followed
"Yes? May I Help you?" Sophie an assistant of Professor Sycamore entered
"We are here to assist on the research" A man with seemingly brown-haired wig spoke for them
"I wasn't told anything about this" Sophie insisted, there was no any such meeting with the Prof.
Cosette and Garchomp also entered the room curious about what they're talking about
"Ms. Sophie I'll check on Prof. about this" Cosette suggested
The trio were looking at each other whispering something amongst themselves, but Garchomp's instincts kicked in and he let out a warning growl. Then Froakie came in he showed himself to Garchomp but hopping to its side, he pointed to the trio and growled something to Garchomp
Garchomp looked at them one more time with menacing eyes until the man with the wig spoke "It's this guy who blasted us away"
"All right let's go get this one first then" The blue haired 'Prof.' advised, he pulled out a cube with hole in each face and raised it in the air "Now, shall we begin the experiment?"
"All right, it's dangerous so please step back" The Magenta haired 'Prof.' pushed away Sophie so it cleared a path way
The path way created by the female was perfect but it was for a different reason the man threw the cube towards Froakie, until Garchomp got in the way and caught the cube with its body. The cube latched on its neck and started to shock the pokemon
"Garchomp!" Sophie screamed
"What an unexpected harvest" Magenta haired 'Prof.' chimed "Maybe this one could Mega Evolve too…"
"Change of plans, Let's get this one first before that Blue pokemon and that Charizard" The brown wigged man called
"All right then Garchomp! Come with us!" The blue haired man pulled out a holoprojector and started to tapping fast on the hologram
Garchomp struggled more the shock was unbearable for the pokemon and its starting to lose control, Froakie tried to jump to its neck and remove the device but it seems it wasn't budging. Garchomp let out a Roar that's been heard throughout the lab
"What the!?" Calem was alerted "Was that a cry of Garchomp?" he looked at Riolu giving it a nod before running to the source of the sound
"That's Garchomp!" Ash tipped off running ahead of the group with Red, Clemont, Bonnie and the professor
Back to the front door Garchomp couldn't control the pain anymore and its primal instinct showed a black beam from Garchomps mouth started to wreak havoc to the lab, a bundle of debris started to fall to the ground, it tackled anything it was close to such as lamps, bookshelf, etc. then its eyes turned different it looked like their plan had worked they brainwashed Garchomp the cube was in a red colored but what they didn't consider was the brute strength of the pokemon, Garchomp took steps closer to the trio as they backed off
"Hey, this isn't what you said would happen!" The Magenta haired woman panicked
"Garchomp listen to our commands" The wigged man ordered
"How weird" The blue haired man opened the holoprojector once more to tap to its settings, but to no use they couldn't control it
"Garchomp!" Calem screamed as he entered the room
"What's going on?" Ash came in second as they surveyed the room
"Professor those people" Sophie in a panic blurts out
"Who are you!" Professor angrily demanded
"If you ask 'Who we are'" the female announced
"Our answer will be the world's compassion!" the male continued
"Team Rocket!" they announced as they removed their disguise
"Team Rocket?" Professor in confusion, who were they and why are they terrorizing the lab
"They're bad guys who steal Pokemon from others" Ash explained
"Wait… didn't I shot them down?" Red was at thought "Is Giovanni responsible for this"
"That's correct!" The team insulted "Garchomp now belongs to us"
"Well then I won't allow it!" Red pulled out Charizard's pokeball and threw it adjacent to Garchomp
"It's finally here!" Meowth eyes started to widened, the perfect time has come to steal the powerful pokemon
"Charizard use Slash on that device" Red instructed Charizard claws glowed white, it came close on touching the device but to their luck Garchomp caught Charizards arms
Garchomp open its mouth and a black sphere formed in its mouth "Dad lookout its Hyper Beam!" Calem warned, but there was no breathing time even if Red did his best the point-blank range takes off the time on finishing Charizard. Charizard got blown back, Red ran to his side checking his partner if he was fine
"Are you alright buddy?" Charizard just smiled to its trainer, but Red didn't know Garchomp already prepared his next attack. Blue rocks started to emerge from the ground and as it approached Charizard he pushed his trainer so he could take the hit by himself
"Oh no! Stone Edge! That's critical to Charizard its more effective since it's a fire and flying type" Calem tensed more they were in pinch how can they save Garchomp without hurting it
"NOW JAMES!" Jessie dictated, James pulled out another cube and threw it to Charizard
They were in real trouble James managed to land that cube to Charizards neck and it clung to it, the same thing happened to Charizard it paralyzed it as a constant shock ran through its body
"You think you can just control my Charizard just like that?" Red stood up he was finally serious they were going to pay back trying to steal his pokemon and others
The menacing look Red gave was enough to scare the Team Rocket, James Fidgeted with the hologram and tried out other settings to hold Charizard but they saw it was fighting back and trying to fight once again
"JAMES DO SOMETHING ITS STANDING UP!" Jessie panicked more they were in a serious mess too "I got it! Take this!"
A powerful shock soared through Charizard, Red mouth gaped "Impossible" but to even Calem surprise Charizard fell to the ground and was rendered fainted
"What did you do?" Meowth asked
"Well, you see if we render the powerful pokemon out we can just steal it easily" James densely explained
"Great idea! But there's more of them than us" Jessie got annoyed, true taking out Charizard was a smart move but they were left with Garchomp and the trainers
Before more could happen Garchomp charged up one more hyper beam and aimed it to Team Rocket, and as it followed "We're blasting off again!"
Finally, they were all alone Calem looked at Garchomp and studied its move pattern it seems it wants to remove a strap in his neck, Calem deduced from the action of the Team Rocket it's the source of the pain its giving to the Pokemon
"Hey there buddy? All right calm down I'll help you with that, okay?" Calem slowly approached Garchomp
But Garchomp struggles more and charged a hyper beam nearly hitting Calem but his quick reflexes kicked in and managed to dodge sideways before getting hit
"I need to take that device off his neck somehow" Calem planned carefully one wrong misstep can lead to their demise
All of the sudden Garchomp jumped through the hole created from the team rocket, rampaging through the city struggling from the electrical shock from the dysfunctional cube
"Garchomp!" Calem screamed as he reached the door and opened it "Dad take care of your Charizard I'll see what I can do with Garchomp!"
"Hey-" Red uttered before Calem ran out the door to save the rampaging dragon "Ugh you really take after your mother"
Calem quickly ran past everyone with Riolu following in his trail not caring with the people panicking trying to run away from the berserking pokemon
"What's going on?" Bonnie cried she felt so scared from the events that unfolded before her, a pokemon nearly destroying the lab along with the rest of them
Clemont clearly felt the panic from her little sister but he mustered up the courage to hug her tightly and reassure nothing wrong is going to happen
"Let's go too Pikachu!" Ash said as Pikachu nodded and gave a brave "Pika"
"You kids! Be careful!" Prof. Sycamore shouted "Sophie, check on the other Pokemon, make sure none of them aren't in danger"
Red stroked the head of it best friend and returned him back to his pokeball to treat him in the nearest pokemon center, he looked around and he felt something was missing, wait not something a pokemon was missing
"Where is Froakie!" Red turned to Clemont and Bonnie only to turn their heads into an empty room
Running through the city Calem didn't knew where he was or where is he heading to all he knew was he needed to get to Garchomp before something catastrophic happens. He looked up in the sky to see a leaping pokemon blasting hyper beams on the side street
"Well at least there something we can follow with" he talked to Riolu without even looking back
Calem heard sirens and car horns bombarding the streets as he cut corners, while weaving through narrow streets he heard most likely officer Jenny talking through her police car siren "To all residents: Presently, a Garchomp is on a rampage. It's dangerous here so please evacuate without delay!"
"Oh, perfect everyone is in panic mode and all of the cars are crammed in the main street just a perfect start of my day in Kalos" Calem monologued
Calem looked at the skies once more to follow a blue rampaging dragon to land in a tower in the middle of the city
"There he is!" Calem pointed out as another hyper beam was blasted to a helicopter flying nearby Garchomp
"Whoa, unbelievable! Its firing hyper beams with no regards for its surroundings and has now threatened our helicopter" the Television broadcasted in a warm safe home in Vaniville town "It appears to be extremely agitated"
"Hey, look at this. Something unbelievable is happening" a short brown-haired woman talked to her daughter
"Something really unbelievable has also happened to my face, did you know?" a honey blonde haired girl rummaging through their fridge said
"Oh my…" her mom replied with a hint of guilt, she looked back to the television drinking her cup of tea
"What's the movie called" honey blonde haired girl asked as she sat down after getting her drink
"No, no. It's a live broadcast. It's Lumiose city apparently"
"Oh no, why did have to be this tower?" Calem in distraught looked at the towers edge there lies the destructive pokemon wreaking havoc with its hyper beam "Now how do we close the distance"
He looked at Riolu and it gave a clear and positive roar "You're right buddy let's think"
And then it clicked to him. He signaled Riolu to hop on his shoulder and ran to the tower's sides "There has to be an emergency fire exit here or something"
Luckily there was, Calem tried his best to open the door but no method prevailed. Riolu tapped his friends head and pointed to a panel near the entrance, it appeared to be a security lock for the exits so no one could use it to enter
"Of course! They had to put a lock in our convenience well time to go with prehistoric take on this, Riolu focus punch" Calem instructed
Riolu's hand glowed a bright blue color and focused its energy into punching the door, in a blink of an eye the door flung back to the stair case as Riolu hopped back to his shoulder
"Great job buddy!" Calem praised his trusty companion, as they were about to head up a certain blue frog pokemon finally caught up with Calem and his partner
"Kero!" Froakie roared
Calem looked back to see the Froakie that he saved back then is tip top condition but the question was why was it here?
"ROAAAAARRRRR!" Garchomp screeched through blast everyone's ears
"Hold on buddy we're coming" Calem looked back to Froakie with fiery eyes "Well we have to save him right Froakie?"
Froakie was astonished with Calem's determination and gave him a nod, he climbed the other shoulder of Calem as they ascended to the top
Reaching where Garchomp was Calem made sure he could balance and not get thrown off with the powerful wind passing through them. Slowly he approached the dragon pokemon, showing he is no threat he raised his hand up and talked to it calmly "Hey bud the sun's getting real low"
Garchomp turned sharply to Calem and fired off a hyper beam, without thinking Calem's instincts kicked in once again to make him dodge the beam and sticked to the wall
"Calem!" a faint voice that was familiar to Calem echoed to the top of the tower
"Buddy please calm down I want to help you" Calem said
"There's a boy on the Prism Tower, could he be trying to reason with it?" The broadcaster announced as her camera man zoomed in to a Boy with a blue jacket clinging to the wall slowly getting closer to Garchomp
"I wonder if it's Garchomp's trainer" the short brown-haired woman said
Both the mother and daughter eyes were glued to the television wanting to know what will unfold
As Calem had almost reached Garchomp, the pokemon trashed once more and leaped towards the towers highest peak
"Garchomp!" He called out, he knew what he has to do and he needs to do it. He looked back on the hatch he came in and in front of it was the wall ladder that leads to the peak "Time to do this junior champ"
Hastily he climbed up the ladders but calmly as he didn't want to lose grip and fall down to the tower with outstanding height
"Calem!" his name called out as he stopped mid-point to look down it was Ash following him to the top as he wants to help save Garchomp also
"What the hell are you doing here!?" He shouted due to the wind pressure almost deafening him
"We're here to help too! Pikachu and I can't stand while you risk your lives" Ash replied
"Incredible! It seems another boy has found its way to the top of the Prism tower" the newscaster in the helicopter literally on the edge broadcasting the scene happening to her eyes
At last, Calem and Ash reached the peaked and faced Garchomp, but once again Garchomp unleashed a wave of hyper beam to them. Calem quickly grabbed Ash and dove to the side to evade the beam
"This is getting nowhere I need to think harder" the pressure was now killing him his instincts of fight or flight is in overdrive
"Garchomp! I know how it feels trying your best to protect everyone, its painful ain't it? I know how hard it is for you right now, but everyone is now worried. Come on let me help you and let's get that thing off you" Calem in a serene voice talked to Garchomp slowly getting through its rampaging state, he struggled with the shock passing through him as he backs off to the edge of the tower
"GARCHOMP!" Calem cried as he ran to Garchomp before it fell
Although with a swift movement Froakie used his frubbles to stick Garchomps feet, Calem and Riolu quickly picked up and grab hold of Garchomps head
"Ash! Hit the cube!" he yelled
Following his command Ash let off Pikachu in his shoulder "Pikachu use Iron Tail"
The mouse pokemon charged directly to the neck cube while Calem is holding him and smashed his glowing tail to cut the cube in half
At long last the dragon pokemon calmed down and dropped to his knees "You good? You were in pain, weren't you?" he smiled
As the event died down a bit while Calem held Garchomp in his arms, Riolu got down from his position the stone floor he landed in collapsed
Calem caught this in an instant as he thought everything was over his best friend suddenly fell from the tower what will he do, though his body already gave an answer he dived down to catch his partner Riolu his sole friend mid-air hugging him tightly not allowing anything bad to him
Everyone was in shock a teen falling fast to the ground clutching on to his dear pokemon, then a shadowy streak flew by and snatched them from their doom
"You good there son?" a voice Calem known for years
He opened his eyes, just like a dream he was on the back of his Dad's Charizard "Dad?"
"What no thank you?" his father laughed
They flew down to the ground as Charizard returned back to his pokeball
"Thank goodness you're alright I was afraid your mom will kill me" Red sighed in a relief tone, thank arceus his wife wasn't going to murder him because he almost lost their son
"I'm fine dad but we need to go get them" he looked back up to the tower knowing they're still there
Minutes went by and Red used his Charizard to get all the gang back down to safety and with the help of the officers they've securely rescued Garchomp from his sticky situation
"Everyone! I hope none of you are injured" Prof. Sycamore worriedly inquired
More time passed and the news team hopped back down to take a hot scoop from the savior of the day, Calem was too quick to realize that and bailed at the moment he saw the crew rushing to them "Good job every one! Riolu let's get out of here before they surround us"
Calem passed through the narrow streets again sharing a laugh with Riolu not taking any responsibilities on the TV debut part
"Thank goodness…" the honey blonde haired girl relieved herself as she saw everyone was safe, but someone peculiar caught her attention "Could that boy be…?"
After the commotion happened yesterday everyone decided to rest in Prof. Sycamore's lab before venturing out
"Were you able to sleep despite this entire mess?" Prof. Sycamore asked as he see Ash and his friends out the lab
"Yeah, I slept soundly!" Ash enthusiastically answered
"I totally slept like a log!" Bonnie also chimed in, as well as his brother "Thank you for your hospitality"
"So, Ash, this is where your adventure truly begins, right?" Prof. inquired, getting him a positive answer "In that case, please take this with you on your adventure and make use of it"
"Thank you very much. Alright let's go Pikachu" Ash smiled as he looks to his Pikachu on his shoulder
"Oh, wait I forgot to give one more thing, since you're new to this region and also I'm grateful to you saving Garchomp will you accept the Kalos region's starter" Prof explained as he pulled out three pokeballs and release them outside
"This is Fennekin, Chespin and of course Froakie" describing as he went by each of them
"Whoa, they all look so cool but I've decided, I want to have a Froakie too" Ash responded lowering his arm for Froakie to climb on to
They waved off goodbye to the Professor to embark for their long journey together
Meanwhile, a certain champion is on the edge of his seat
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" a woman with brown hair in her near thirties barking at her own husband
"Honey calm down he's fine… he wasn't even scathed" Red reasoned peacefully
When the news spread out to the Kanto region Red knew he was in for it, in no way would she wouldn't call or panic at the same time
"THEN WHERE IS HE!?" She raged wanting to reach out of the computer and rip Red's hair out
"He's-"
"Seriously mom I'm fine" Calem cut in, entering his father's room giving a bright smile to his mom
A wave of relief poured on Red as he saw his wife had finally entered the calm zone
"I just want to see both of my boys back in one piece when you both return" She smiled to both of them she was indeed stunning if her blood wasn't boiling
"Well mom even if I want to have a chat with you, I have to help clean up the damages here in the lab so, love you mom" Calem waved goodbye as he got out
Half of day have passed and Calem helped all of Professor's assistants clean up the mess Team Rocket made, putting books back where they fell, sweeping all of the dust, and salvaging the important documents that were scattered on the floor until
The door flung open and a girl with honey blonde hair entered "Excuse me, are you there Professor?"
"Hm?" Calem got back up and looked back to see the visitor "May I help you?"
