I managed to find my Liarla story! I read it and I hated it and as my writing has improved I'm going to rewrite it.

Running away seemed like the easiest option right now and that was ok because they were in love, well probably more than that. They loved each other they were soul mates and they believed they belonged with each other but the only problem is that family would do them if they were to come clean about the love they had for each other.

Taking that leap was the hardest thing to do, harder than most things in their life but this would be a challenge oh so worth it even if when their family found out it would tear them apart so they made a deal, a non-trakcable deal so that when they ran they remove all traces of themselves from the world around them so they could be secretive, so they could just be them.

Carla and Liam were driving down the motorway, the window of the passenger seat open where she was standing allowing the breeze of the outside to filter into the car removing the stuffiness from it and allowing a less anxious journey but the thoughts soon crept up on her that they were actually doing this and that there was no going back now, this was their future one of which they wanted to live together in peace and tranquillity. The only problem with this whole set up was that they didnt know what they were leaving behind.

Booking into a three-star hotel wasnt really one of Carla's desires but they had to make do considering they needed to save money for what lied ahead. As soon as Carla got into the room she sighed glancing around looking for something to entertain herself with but nothing sufficed apart from flicking through the channels on the TV which made Liam rather irritated at her persistence. She stood up and walked over to the holdall which she packed pulling out some night clothes before heading into the basic ensuite to get ready.

"Do you want 'owt to eat?" he asks as she steps out of the bathroom, she bites her lip and shakes her head "You look tired"

"Ten out of ten for observation Leebugs" she sighs before lying on the bed "I just want to sleep dont let me stop you"

"Look Carla if you're having second thoughts-"

"No" she shakes her head, she was definite but she couldnt help but feel as if he wasn't "Are you having second thoughts?"

"No"

"Glad we cleared that up then" she states picking up her phone, he wwipes it out of her hands and turns it off before removing the SIM card "Get a grip, Liam we haven't murdered anyone"

"They can track you, report us missing Carla how could you be so reckless-"

"Woah!" she says somewhat incredulously "This is hardly my fault Liam and you know it!"

"I just want this to work"

"As much as it pains me to say so do i" she sighs closing her eyes, he gently sits beside her and takes her hand "I'm sorry"

"What for?"

"All of this"

"I should be the one apologising" he laments closing his eyes and thinking back

"How?"

"Maybe if I had stopped being such a wuss and owned up to the way I was feeling then none of this would have happened and things had been different"

"Look Liam some things are just meant to be and thats that... We should just live in the moment as we can now without any complications, lets just love each other"

"Sounds good to me darling, sounds good to me" he smirks leaning in to kiss her, she reciprocates before straddling him and raking her fingers through his hair "I'm so glad you're mine now"

"Likewise"

The next morning warranted confusion. Carla's naked body was pressed up against Liam's her head rested on his chest as they breathe synchronously in time with each other. She was the first to wake so she stretched out alongside him before kissing his chest and humming slightly and linking her fingers through his which caused him to wake. Soon they got dressed and then thought of a plan, they decided to go to France and somehow it seemed better than elsewhere as Liam knew people there from when Paul was alive who wouldnt know Michelle so right now it seemed like a solid plan.

The ferry ride was tedious, they just ended up chilling in the lounge together over a few drinks before getting up and heading onto the top deck so they could look over the seas. They arrived in France and then began making their way to Marseille where Liam would meet one of Paul's friends to see if they could find somewhere to stay.

"I'm tired" she complains, he raises an eyebrow wondering how considering they had a late checkout

"Grow a pair then"

"Oi!" she nudges him before sighing "How long is this going to take?"

"It's only a coffee and a chat to see if he can help I promise it won't take long" Liam responds, Carla bites her lip and nods "You dont even have to be here if you dont want, I'd understand if it was difficult seeing people in relation to Paul"

"I deal with you and Michelle dont I?" she teases, he just glares at her "I'll stay I doubt it would do me any harm eh?"

It was the most boring conversation she had ever had to experience, full of boy talk and in a way she wished she just pretended to be some stranger at the bar instead of be a part of it. In the end, they finally got somewhere it turned out that Dan had a flat they could rent so Liam decided to go for it as well as being offered a job to work at his place so Carla was pleased in a way that they had some sort of income coming in. When they got into the flat Carla turned her nose up, it was too basic for her liking and Liam could tell exactly what she was thinking but they had to start somewhere and deep down she knew this.

"I'll do the bedsheets whilst you do whatever you want as we all know you're rubbish at that"

"Excuse me" he scoffs, she raises an eyebrow "You cant even cook so"

"There you go there's something you can do go out and buy some food so we dont starve to death" she quips back at him before sighing and rubbing her forehead

"I'll be back soon," he says grabbing his wallet before leaving, she sighs and glances over to the cupboard, she begins to hang her clothes up before obtaining the pillows and putting the pillowcases on them and placing them on the bed before climbing into bed herself to sleep...

Liam came back from the shop armed with two bags of groceries, noticing Carla wasn't in the living room he assumed that she was taking a nap so he started on dinner. It was weird being in a domestic set up with her as all they seemed to do was snipe and snap at each other or playfully rib one another but this was different, almost calming for him and it felt oddly right which was something he wasnt expecting to feel but he did and that was something he would cherish forever until the day he died. Soon enough she surfaced from the bedroom with a small smile on her face in some comfortable lounge clothes, she sat down on the armchair and smiled at him as he made dinner.

"I'm surprised you're not getting me to play the dutiful housewife" she smirks, he raises his eyebrows at her

"I think we would all end up down the hospital if we were to do that"

"And what is that supposed to mean?" she questions with an icy glare, Liam smirks to himself as he turned away from her gaze enjoying winding her up

"Well I think we would end up with food poisoning" he smirks, she just grits her teeth "Especially with that lasagne you made us that time"

"Wind your neck in" she mutters, he just grins placing a plate down on the table, she goes to sit down on it and sighs gently "Can I ask you a question?"

"Depends what it is?" he hums eating his food, she bites her lip and closes her eyes "Are you ok?"

"I'm just confused...are you sure this is what you want?" she asks looking into his eyes, he places his fork down on the plate and takes both of her hands into this

"Carla I want this, I want you," he says but she just drops her gaze "Do you not want me?"

"I do I just dont want us both going into this with regrets"

"The only regret I have is not doing this sooner" he assures her, she nods with a small smile "It'll take time but we'll get there kid, this is for keeps I promise"

"Yeah...let's hope"
