The new threat didn't skip a beat with its attack. NOS-4-A2, now sparking with green electricity from being possessed, lunged at the closest member of Team Lightyear, XR. The little robot cried out as metal claws sank deep into his arms and dragged him into the air. It happened so fast that no one could react in time. That is, until Ty finally decided to respond and flung out a few wires from his paw that chased after the two. NOS-4-A2 was able to swerve out of the way of all but one, which wrapped around XR's hand and led the Wirewolf to pull back hard. The smaller robot cried out as a small tug of war began between the energy vampire and the Wirewolf, both unwilling to let go. Ty could only imagine what horrors awaited XR if he lost, and that was motivation enough to fight.

Buzz began to raise his lazer up to NOS-4-A2 but was interrupted just before he shot. "Buzz, no! You might hit XR!" Buzz clenched his teeth at Mira's comment. He wasn't sure if it was worth the risk, and she was right. The struggle was tossing XR all over the place and it was likely that an unlucky shot could shut him down. It was hard for the famed ranger to just stand by while it all happened.

Finally, the possessed NOS-4-A2 hissed at the Wirewolf and clawed at the remaining wire which snapped and sent XR flying, crying out for a second before he crashed into the opposing wall. Booster and Mira ran over to him as he slid down the wall, groaning. Buzz, in contrast, continued to watch the two larger robots in case Ty needed backup. He hated that he called his friend a robot.

Ty was unaffected by the wire being broken and was more focused on recovering. He lunged up at the floating being but came just short of reaching the cape. The energy vampire only smiled and flashed its glowing green monocle at him. With a swoop of his electric wings, NOS-4-A2 swiped Ty's muzzle just as gravity began to pull him back down. The heat-fueled energy scarred his metal snout and triggered a cry of pain that almost prevented Ty from catching his fall. His glowing optics showed the damage was enough to leave a deep scar on his face that was steaming red in color. He grasped the wound and sneered at the vampire.

"You know, this form might actually suit me better," NOS-4-A2 spoke in a slightly off tone than his normal voice, flexing his claws and spreading his wings, "Although I think you've just left a bad impression on that one." Ty's urge to rip the robot-ghost-virus thing grew with every second. If he still had skin it would be overheating for sure. He knew it was pointless to just throw himself at him again. With the possibility that he could be possessed and turned against Team Lightyear again, he decided against winging his plan of attack. He was a ranger. He needed to think strategically even if he was overflowing with rage and hate. The fate of everyone in the room depended on him.
The possessed NOS-4-A2 seemed too…cheerful and in love with his new body to notice Ty for the moment, which was perfect for thinking. He knew that this thing was basically immortal and it had hacked his brain to prevent himself from destroying the moonrock with or without the glass casing. On top of that, the only time he can attack the wolf is if he is in the body of NOS-4-A2, since that wouldn't be doing any harm to his friends and possibly help the galaxy by ridding of that energy vampire for good. Then again, if he destroyed NOS-4-A2 without anywhere to go from there, the wolf would either have to attack head on which obviously didn't end well the last time or possess XR, the only robot left, which would be attacking a ranger and was something Ty refused to do. There had to be something...SOMETHING he could do.

A gasp was emitted from behind him, an immediate sign that Ty had been too lost in thought. The energy vampire was slowly closing in on Mira and Booster who were helping reattach the arm of XR. Time was running out. Someone would have to make a move, though all the outcomes Ty was aware of were disastrous. He grew stiff with the inability to think straight. Even Buzz seemed to be debating on whether or not he should shoot NOS-4-A2 with his lazer. If he set it to kill mode, that would at least have NOS-4-A2 possibly taken care of. Lasers were possibly one of the strongest weapons for a ranger to have, and yet they were shown to be quite useless in a scenario like this.

Wait.

Ty looked down at his collar and the moonrock inside. It was indestructible to him so he figured anything weaker wouldn't be able to break through. Mira wasn't able to ghost through the glass. They didn't try any other way. What if…what if…?

The Wirewolf reared his head over to Buzz, who was faintly shaking while raising his laser up to NOS-4-A2's chest.

"Buzz! Shoot the collar!" His mechanical tone was nearly breaking from the projection it allowed for. He pulled away from the collar the best he could and waited for Buzz's shot. The ranger was hesitant with Ty's request, but finally turned towards him. Just as he was about to let a laser loose and Ty braced for the possible impact, the screech of NOS-4-A2 filled the air as the energy vampire flew down with lightning speed, racing towards the Wirewolf.

A shot was fired.

Time slowed for the trio. Buzz shut his eyes from the recoil of the laser that was at its highest settings. Ty continued to switch his view from Buzz, to NOS-4-A2 who was closer than expected now, to the moonrock inches from his face. The wolf-possessed energy vampire refused to show anything other than insanity in his expression, though fear was jolting throughout him. An impact was heard. Ty managed to kick up his hind leg and send the energy vampire flying behind him just before his claws were able to dig in deep enough to penetrate the metal. He grunted from the kick and hit the ground with a thud. Buzz remained in an attacking position just in case, as did Ty once NOS-4-A2 had leveraged himself up.

"You…" NOS-4-A2 coughed, "you just need to make everything more difficult than you need to, don't you Parsec?" The monocle began to shift to a deeper green, but then it started to grow lighter once it looked at the Wirewolf's feet. It gasped in horror and was accompanied by a sly smile from Ty. There, on the ground, were the shattered remnants of the glass, a broken chain, and the dust-like particles of the destroyed moonrock.
