A/N Okay, I don't know what's going on with my Fanfiction app so that I have to use the laptop to upload this one. And there is a reason why I put the question mark after the title on this topic. Enjoy!
Jack rubbed Elsa's back lovingly as Elsa stirred in her sleep on the couch. When Elsa complained that her head was still dizzy and wanted to lie down on her bed, he excitedly persuaded his wife to be willing to lie down on their new couch. He was eager to show that their new L-shaped couch could transform into a bed.
After Jack led his wife from the kitchen and sat her down in a minimalist chair next to the couch, he excitedly demonstrated how a couch could magically turn into a bed. He really was like a couch salesman trying desperately to sell out his products.
And to Jack's delight, Elsa was in a good mood to respond to his silliness even though her head was still spinning. She happily clapped when the couch finally turned into a bed. It made Jack very happy that his efforts were well received. He was just about to fall asleep when-
"Jack!" It was Kristoff. He suddenly opened the door and stood in the doorway hugging a package box.
Jack snapped his head and turned from his wife's back to glare at Kristoff by sloppily walking into someone's house without knocking. Look now who's talking.
"Sttt!" He stood up and approached Kristoff, his index finger pressed to his lips and glaring at him so he wouldn't scream anymore.
"What?" Kristoff asked confusedly, still not lowering his volume.
"You can't be noisy in here, Kristoff. There is a pregnant wife sleeping." Jack shouted in a whisper, pointing at Elsa who was still fast asleep on the couch.
Kristoff tilted his head and indeed he saw Elsa sleeping on the couch. Of course he got the point-"can't be noisy in here?" or not, because he was still speaking at his usual volume.
"Kristoff!" Jack shouted in a whisper again and stared at Kristoff so fiercely that his eyeballs nearly popped out. Kristoff then covered his mouth with the palm of his hand because now he realized that he shouldn't be noisy which meant he had to speak in a whisper.
"Sorry." Kristoff said, in a whisper.
"What do you want?"
"Right." Hearing Jack's question, Kristoff remembered his purpose in coming to Jack's house. He showed Jack the package box and opened it in front of Jack's face. "Is this yours?"
Looking at the contents of the package box, Jack grinned widely and nodded. His hand moved to take the box. "Yes. This is mine. The courier must have delivered to the wrong address."
"Yes. So, since your pack-"
"Thank you." Jack pushed Kristoff out of the house and immediately closed the door. He then put down the package box and returned to his previous position with his wife on the couch. He was just about to reach out to hug Elsa from behind when there was a knock on the door. From the loud knocking, he guessed it must be Kristoff.
"What now, fat nose?" Jack swung the door open in annoyance, revealing Kristoff, who quickly stepped inside.
"Okay, now since your package was delivered to my house, wait, what did you call me?" Kristoff tilted his head trying to remember.
"Fine nose." Answered Jack flatly.
Kristoff narrowed his eyes, unconvinced. "Really?"
"Yes, and what the hell do you want for me, Kristoff? I have a pregnant wife to cuddle." Jack whispered in annoyance, Kristoff's presence in his house risked waking his wife.
"Okay, okay. My God, did I wake a hungry dinosaur? So, this is the problem. Since your package strayed into my house, and I have already delivered it to you, now I want to see the contents of your package that you talked about earlier. I just want to see the contents, who knows maybe it's for me. Your package was delivered to my house, right? So, my package could be delivered to your house. Could be swapped." Kristoff explained patiently. He wanted to ask nicely.
Jack tried to understand what Kristoff was saying. His package was indeed delivered to Kristoff' house but he was very sure that the package sent to his house belonged to his wife, Elsa. Not Kristoff.
"That's impossible, Kristoff. Do you want to know, what's in that package?" Jack leaned forward and tried to keep his voice as low as possible because he didn't want Elsa to hear it. "What's in the package is a surprise. Elsa wants to give me a surprise. I heard it with my own ears, Elsa called her friend and she said that the package had arrived and she didn't want to tell me yet. It's Elsa's package. So it can't be yours." Jack explained confidently. Even though he was whispering, he sounded very excited.
"Oh really?" Now Kristoff was confused. "I want to see what's inside, Jack. Just a moment, please." He begged to see what was inside and make sure it wasn't his package.
Jack looked doubtful. He really didn't want to wake Elsa up. He turned to Elsa who seemed to be still sleeping and his brow furrowed in confusion whether he should show the package to Kristoff or not. If Elsa found out he was opening the package, it would spoil her surprise.
"How about I just tell you what's in the package?" Jack offered a solution and hoped it would satisfy Kristoff.
"Okay. What's inside?"
"Toys."
"What?! The contents of my package are also toys. Come on, Jack. I just want to see it for a moment. Please." Kristoff was getting desperate because Jack was really hard to work with. "What kind of toys?"
"Kristoff, I told you, the package is a surprise for me. It contains lots of toys. Baby toys and-"
"Yes, what kind of toys, Jack? Let me see it." Kristoff was no longer whispering and that made Jack glared at him.
"Keep your voice down or-"
"Or what? I'm sure it's just you thinking that Elsa is pregnant when she's not-"
Kristoff's loud voice was interrupted by Elsa who suddenly sat up, clutching her stomach and covering her mouth with her palm. Her face showed discomfort and pain. Jack suddenly panicked while Kristoff didn't know what to do. Ignoring Kristoff, Jack ran after Elsa who had already run to the bathroom.
Jack's instincts kicked in when he saw his wife kneeling on the toilet bowl throwing up. He knelt behind his wife, holding her hair and gently rubbing her back.
Jack felt bad seeing Elsa in pain and if Elsa was really pregnant and had to go through these kinds of things throughout her pregnancy, he promised in his heart that he would be the best husband for her, he would take care of her and accompany her through this.
"Easy now." Jack gently massaged Elsa's shoulder and leaned forward to get a better look at her face. "Are you done?"
Elsa could only nod and wipe her lips with the back of her hand. "My stomach hurts, Jack." She muttered, trying to get up with Jack's help.
"I know, Baby. I will clean you up." Jack flushed the toilet and led Elsa to the sink. He washed her hands, wiped her face, especially her lips with clean water and helped her rinse her mouth. " Do you want to brush your teeth?"
"Yes, please." Said Elsa, nodding her head. Jack did what he had to do until finally Elsa went back to sleep on the couch.
"Kristoff, you're back. How was it? Did you get the package?" Anna asked as she walked into the living room and found her husband sitting gloomily on the couch.
"No. I don't understand why Jack is so complicated. I just wanted to see the contents of the package, but he wouldn't let me. It pissed me off."
"Then what should we do now?" Anna asked, hugging the cushion.
"I don't know, Honey." Kristoff shook his head because he didn't know what to do either. But then he rememberred something. "Oh, oh! You know what?"
"What?"
"I saw with my own eyes that Elsa threw up. She woke up, and then ran to the bathroom and threw up." He said dramatically, making Anna gasp.
"Oh really? So, she is really pregnant?" Anna's eyes were as wide as pot lids.
"Yes!" Kristoff exclaimed, but then his face changed drastically. "But what about my package?"
Anna thought for a moment using her golden brain to come up with ideas. "Ah, I know, Kristoff. How about this, I'm going to congratulate Elsa without Jack knowing, and I'm going to ask her about the package."
"That's a good idea, honey. Let's do this."
A few moments later, Anna was already sneaking into Jack's house. She opened the door very slowly and closed it very slowly too. She looked around and found her target was sleeping on the couch and Jack's whereabouts were currently unknown.
She tiptoed over to the couch and sat down next to Elsa and then gently shook her elbows to wake her up. "Elsa?"
Elsa was still fast asleep and just stirring a little. She had to try again. And harder.
"Els-"
"What are you doing here?!" Suddenly out of nowhere, Jack appeared from behind the couch holding a pair of scissors. He whispered in annoyance because his neighbor was always trying to disturb his wife's sleep.
Anna was shocked but tried to calm herself as she still had a mission to succeed. "I want to congratulate Elsa." She said innocently.
Jack eyed Anna for a moment because he knew there must be a motive behind her innocent face. "And after that you will definitely ask about the package, right? Kristoff sent you here to be a spy right?"
Busted. "No." Anna shook her head quickly. Too quickly. She realized that Jack had caught her so she just smiled awkwardly and then ran out of the house.
Jack let out a long sigh and shook his head slowly. He then put down his scissors and intended to carry his wife. "Come on, Elsa. Let's get you to the bed. You're no longer safe here."
"Now, which part don't you guys understand that it's Elsa's package, not yours, and what's inside is a surprise for me and if I open it, it will spoil the surprise?"
Later that day, Kristoff and Anna came and asked nicely about the package. They used a different approach as their previous few attempts had failed. But Jack still seemed to be out of their reach, the annoying part, because he still wouldn't allow them to see the contents of the package.
"Jack, we just want to see what's inside. The package for my office hasn't arrived yet. And since your package was delivered to my house, it is possible that my package was swapped with yours." Kristoff said in a higher tone. Anna, who was sitting next to him, lightly patted his knee because she didn't want their attempts to fail again, even though she herself was starting to run out of patience.
"I don't care, Kristoff, and that is not my problem, okay? And I said, there's no way we can open the package again. Now you better go home, the door is over there." Jack pointed at the door and it made Anna and Kristoff's faces fall. But then Kristoff couldn't take it anymore.
"Alright. Since you can't cooperate, if I meet Elsa in a minute, I'll ask her myself. I will ask about the package and I will ask if she is really pregnant or not." Kristoff said, sounding so serious that his threat made Jack glare.
"Don't you dare, Kristoff! Don't you dare!"
"Jack!" Elsa suddenly called from upstairs. Apparently, their loud voices managed to wake him up.
And not long after that, there was the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs. It kept Jack glaring at Kristoff even though he already looked pretty sure he was going to talk to Elsa when she came down.
"Jack, what's this? What are you guys arguing about?" Elsa stopped next to Jack, looking alternately between her husband and her guest. She looked utterly fresh even though she had just woken up.
"Kristoff." Anna looked at Kristoff as a sign that it was the time for him to talk to Elsa.
"Right. So, here's the thing, Elsa. I want to-"
"You shouldn't hesitate to ask for it, Kristoff." Jack cut Kristoff's words in a slightly higher pitch in an attempt to make Kristoff stop talking. He looked up at Elsa and took her hand, pulling her closer. "They just wanted to ask for salt. Anna's feet are swollen so they need salt to soak her feet." He said innocently.
"Oh my gosh." Elsa looked at Anna with pity. "Poor you, Anna. Jack is right. You shouldn't hesitate to ask for it. Wait here, I'll get the salt for you."
Anna walked glumly as she entered the house with a bag of salt in her hand. Kristoff followed behind her with the same facial expression. She put the salt on the table and then sat down on the couch.
"Why didn't you talk to Elsa about the package?" She asked, hugging the cushion with 'home is where our story begins' written on the cushion cover.
"Yes it's because of Jack. I didn't speak further because I still value him as our neighbor and friend. But if he continues to treat me like this, I can't just let it go either. I have to do something to him to take revenge. Let him taste his own medicine." Kristoff said determinedly.
"You can't just do that, Kristoff. What if the package really belongs to Elsa? It means that we are both wrong, right? We don't know for sure." Anna advised and that made Kristoff doubt his plans for revenge.
"You're right, honey."
"So, what are we gonna do?"
It was about eleven o'clock at night when Kristoff and Anna were sneaking up on Jack's door. Kristoff had gotten ready to bring a crowbar, but when he turned the knob on Jack's door, to his great miracle, it was unlocked.
"Our neighbour's really careless, honey. He didn't lock the door. Don't try this at our home okay?" Said Kristoff, setting the crowbar carefully on the floor and sneaking into the house.
Anna clung to the hem of Kristoff's T-shirt and followed behind him. They tried to be as quiet as possible but Anna's bunny slipper kept making noises.
"Take off your bunny slipper. It's so noisy."
Anna complied and immediately took off her slippers. The two of them then continue their mission to find the suspected mis-addressed package. They reached the kitchen when they found several piles of boxes. They communicated by sign language and opened the boxes one by one.
They were so serious that they didn't notice someone coming down the stairs.
"Robbers! Robbers!" It was Jack. He screamed because he thought his house was being robbed.
"Aaaaaa!" Kristoff and Anna screamed together in surprise at Jack's scream. The three of them kept screaming until finally Jack realized that the robbers were Kristoff and Anna.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Jack's voice boomed because he didn't expect his neighbors to rob him.
"Jack! Calm down! We don't mean anything bad. We just wanted to see the package you said belonged to Elsa." Said Anna trying to calm the situation.
Jack stared at the young couple before him in disbelief. "Are you guys for real? Oh my God! I don't believe this." He threw his hands in the air and finally moved to take one of the boxes which was the box that had been a feud all this time. "Here it is, see for yourself."
Finally, Jack opened the box and showed Kristoff and Anna its contents. Kristoff excitedly took out the contents of the package but his face quickly turned to disappointment.
"Honey, this is not my package." Said Kristoff, looking down at his wife sadly.
"Are you sure, Kristoff?" Anna tried to make sure that it really wasn't her husband's package. She was still looking through the contents of the box.
"Yes, My package contains robots."
"Are you satisfied now? See, that is not your package." Jack carefully closed the box again and put it back where it belonged.
"So it's really Elsa's package?" Anna asked, looking up at Jack.
"Indeed! It's Elsa's." Said Jack firmly, his chin held high as he proved once again that he was right.
Anna's face instantly brightened up. She approached Jack and held out her hand. "Congratulations, Jack! You are going to be a father." She said, she was really happy with the good news, ignoring her husband who was still confused because what he was looking for had not been found.
"But what about my package?!"
