THE CONCLUSION!
Guile and the street fighters ran through the corridors of their HQ till they reached the hangar where their transport jet carriers lay.
Cammy came across the first one.
"Ah...just like old times once again."she said as she was about to head into the cockpit.
But before she could do so,Jessica stopped her short.
"Hold it honey."she said. "In case you don't realize it,I was recruited as the new team pilot."
"Oh...Haggar's daughter is it?"said Cammy. "Well congrats,and i'm sorry I just thought.."
"It's quite alright,Miss White."said Jessica. "Just take over jet number two,i've got it from here."
And with that,Cammy just shrugged and went over to jet no.2.
She then snorted in irritation.
"Some people just wanna butt in!"she thought. "Ah well...shouldn't hold grudges,i'm among friends again."
Ken and Cody saw it all happen from a distance.
"Man,I bet she hated that."said Cody.
"For one I agree with you,Cody."said Ken. "I'm afraid I still don't entirely trust Cammy after all that happened.
But then again,neither Ryu or me never got to know here that well even before that."
"Well,we got plenty of time to know each other again don't we?"said Cody. "Now,let's get movin'i'm itching to stomp some more terrorist scum!"
"Same here!"said Ken.
Both teams assembled into the jets and Guile found that Escher himself was about to get into the number 2 jet.
"Escher?"said Guile. "What are you doing exactly?"
"What's it look like,Guile?"said the head man. "This could very well be your final mission against Shadaloo,i'd like to be there to see the last of it end,and really see some action."
Guile chuckled.
"Well,if you insist."said Guile. "Just try to keep up."
"Will do."said Escher.
The two jets then took off and headed east back to Shadaloo City,the former home of the dreaded Terrorist Cartel of the same name.
Minutes later,the two jets arrived on the outskirts of the city,and the two teams placed the jet's camoflauge covers over them.
"Man,back here again so soon after our last encounter with Sagat."said Ryu. "Yeah,I also heard you became quite the popular man here since then on that mission."said Chun-Li.
"Yeah...Ryu's got his fame here,but i've got the fame around the rest of the world."said Ken.
"In your dreams Ken."said Ryu.
"Alright guys,now's not the time."said Guile.
"Guile is correct."said Dhalsim. "We must find Colonel Sawada and find out what Sagat is up to."
"Couldn't agree more on that one."said Blanka. "So where is he?"
As if in answer,a series of tanks and jeeps arrived over a sand dune near the city itself.
The lead jeap came to a halt and both Sawada and emerged from it and approached Guile and Escher.
"Guile!"said Sawada. "For one,i'm glad to see you and your team again!"
"I share the sentiment."said Hawk. "We need your help now more than ever on this one!"
"Well...it's good to be needed when you're needed."said Guile. "So...what's ol'one eye up to this time?"
"Come with me."said Sawada.
Guile and Escher followed Sawada and Hawk to a nearby tent.
Sawada then told him what was going on.
"It's been a mess here since you came here last Guile."said Sawada.
"After you took out Bison...his former second hand man Sagat has been trying to raise hell for all he's worth taking over the city of Shadaloo itself.
"We at the AN as well as the city's resistence have kept him and his goons at bay so far."said Hawk. "But...he's taken it too far this time.
He's...hijacked a nuclear device! A nucelar warhead that was also left over from Bison's nuclear arsenal.
"And he's holding the city for ransom if they don't stop resisting him at once!"said Sawada.
Guile arched an eyebrow in disgust.
"Somehow...after all we've been through..that somehow doesn't surprise me."he said.
"Same here."said Escher. "So..how do we stop him?"
"Simple really."said Sawada. "We'll have some of your street fighters to slip and infiltrate Sagat's stronghold..and we'll disarm the device.
After that,the gates will be blown wide open and we take them down in a full blown battle to the finish!"
"Mmm..sounds good to me."said Guile. "Anyone in particular you need for the job?"
"Just you,myself and your friend Dhalsim."said Sawada. "I recall correctly he can teleport himself and others inside areas."
"Sounds good."said Guile. "I'll inform the team."
Minutes later,Guile informed the team what was going to be done,and Dhalsim agreed.
"I shall do whatever it is needed to stop the legacy of Bison's evil from spreading."he said.
"Wait a minute sir."Ryu said to Guile. "I'd like to volunteer for this as well."
"Hmm?"said Guile. "It wouldn't happen to do with Sagat would it?"
"As a matter of fact yes."said Ryu. "I suspect he's doing this because he still wants revenge against me. If he wants one final rematch..he's got it."
"Sounds good."said Sawada. "And if the people of Shadaloo learn of this new victory,his cartel will undoubtedly crumble for good."
"Alright then."said Guile. "Just be prepared...for anything when we go."
Guile,Sawada,and Ryu all gathered around Dhalsim.
"Ready?"said Dhalsim. "And willing."said Guile. "It's time to take down Shadaloo once and for all!"
"Good luck guys!"said Honda. "Give our regards to ol'one eye!"
"Yes,and be careful Ryu,no matter what!"said Li.
Ryu smiled and nodded to Li.
"Alright then...YOGA!"said Dhalsim.
And the four heroes vanished into thin air.
"And there they go."said Guy. "Into the dragon's lair now."
"How poetic can you get,Guy?"said Cody. "I for one can't wait to crash down the gates and take'em all down!"
"Patience,Cody."said Rose. "I trust and see that we shall succeed before the night is through."
"Ryu..."thought Chun-Li.
The four heroes then found themselves in a vast computerized terminal room.
And right in front of them was the nucelar warhead device.
Guile stepped up to it and found the infamous Shadaloo skull symbol upon it.
"That's Bison's handiwork all right."said Guile. "So how do we difuse it and shut it down?"
Sawada reached into his back pocket and got out a single grey metallic device.
"We had our lab boys create these pocket negators."said Sawada. "All I have to do is place it upon the master control and all is shut down permanently!"
"Sounds good."said Guile. "So what are we waiting for? Go to it,Sawada."
Sawada nodded and was about to head over to the master controls.
When suddenly...
"NOT SO FAST!"shouted a voice from the shadows.
Guile and Ryu recognized the voice.
"I should've known!"said Guile.
"That makes two of us."said Ryu.
Emerging from the shadows was Sagat and two of his gunmen,armed to the teeth as they drew their weapons on them.
"Dhalsim...you may have amazing yoga chi skills."said Sagat. "But even you can't slip undetected by my fortress's security systems.
Nice to see you again,Colonel Sawada..and by the way...don't you dare take another step towards those controls!"
"Have you learned nothing from Bison's downfall,Sagat?"said Sawada. "He's dead...you follow in his foosteps and you shall share the same fate!"
"HA!"said Sagat. "I'm doing something better than follow in his footsteps! I intend to rid myself of your meddling once and for all.
You see..I reprogrammed the warhead to not destroy Shadaloo...but to destroy your beloved country Guile."
"WHAT?"said Guile. "Yes!"said Sagat. "I've recently tracked down where your precious Street Fighter HQ is,country and all. And once I wipe out the USA,you and the rest of your team shall fall next!
If Bison couldn't kill any of you...I shall succeed where he failed. And then...the world will know a leader of Shadaloo is born..me..SAGAT,HAHAHA!"
"I knew we'd have to take care of you,sooner or later,Sagat!"said Guile. "Well,you're the one who's too late to stop us. Once Sawada uses that negator to stop your attack,it's all over..for you and Shadaloo!"
"I think not,Guile!"said Sagat. "Men-fire upon that annoying soldier,next to Guile that is!"
Sagat's two men were about to take aim,when suddenly,Dhalsim teleported and re-appeared in front of the trio of evil.
"WHAT?"said Sagat.
"YOGA!"shouted Dhalsim as he unleashed a full blast of Yoga Fire,knocking all three men down to the floor.
"NOW,SAWADA!"said Dhalsim.
"Right!"said the colonel as he rushed over to the controls.
He then slammed the device's magnet section over the controls,activated it and a loud humming noise emmited from it.
Within nearly a minute,the words: "PROGRAM CANCELLED"appeared upon the giant computer screen.
"We did it!"said Guile. "NOOOO!"cried Sagat. "You-YOU SHALL DIE FOR THIS,ALL OF YOU!"
"Save it for later,Sagat!"said Guile. "We gotta bail! Dhalsim?"
Dhalsim grinned and nodded and then used his yoga teleport once again.
The four heroes vanished wence they came.
Sagat sneered in rage and anger.
"This cannot be happening!"
While back outside,Guile and the others re-appeared before the rest of the team.
"They're back!"said Li. "Ryu!"
"It's okay..we did it!"said Ryu. "Sagat's finished!"
"Not quiet yet."said Sawada. "Now we've got to do some mopping up and now!"
Sawada then took out his walkie talkie and spoke into it.
"Squad leader."he said. "Blast open the gates and head to Sagat's fortress..we're taking him down and now!"
Within minutes,the lead AN tank blew open the main gates and the entire squad of soldiers followed by the street fighters rushed the town.
Once they made it to Sagat's fortress,the villian unleashed his entire army of gunmen and terrorists upon them.
Forces collided and heads and asses were kicked as the AN soldiers and the street fighters took on Sagat's men.
"SONIC BOOM!"shouted Guile as he flung his projectile at a small lead of Sagat's men.
Ryu,Ken and the rest of the heroes took them on as they came.
Cody in particular enjoyed the carnage as he stomped out many terrorist thugs.
Amidst the smoke,Sagat emerged,he saw that his forces were losing,he was almost done.
Just then,Ryu approached him.
"Do you yield,Sagat?"he said.
"Never!"said Sagat. "If I am to go down,you go with me!"
Suddenly,Sakura and her sensei and several townspeople appeared at the main gates.
"It's Ryu-san,sensei!"she said. "He has returned...and he's going to take on Sagat again!"
"Then this truly is a day of reckoning for all of us!"said Sakura's sensei.
"Alright team!"said Guile. "Give'em some room,one last battle for the street figher team..here and now!"
Sagat took up his fight stance,as did Ryu.
The kickboxer made the first move as he unleashed his Tiger Shot,but Ryu dodged and came at Sagat with his hurricane kick.
Sagat blocked it off and moved in with a Tiger Knee,hitting Ryu in the chest with it.
Ryu skidded backwards,but kept on his feet.
Sagat then came at Ryu with his Tiger Raid flying kick,but the japanese blocked it with a single fist and then knocked him out of the sky with a hard Shoryuken.
Sagat crashed to the ground,but got back on his feet again.
Ryu then fired a Hadouken,but Sagat jumped over it and then fired back with another Tiger Shot.
Ryu blocked it off and once they got close enough,the two titans duked it out trading moves.
Sagat did a turn spin kick,Ryu ducked it and then rushed into Sagat's chest with a hard elbow.
The impact sent Sagat skidding a few feet back.
Ryu then followed it up with a fiery Hadouken.
The blast of ki energy sizzled across Sagat's abdomen,but he kept on his feet.
Sagat then charged up his fists at full power and unleashed his Tiger Cannon Blast full spray at Ryu.
"UNNGH!"cried Ryu as he was knocked completely backwards and skidded across the battlefield.
"RYU!"said Ken. "DON'T LET THAT BASTARD STOP YOU!"
"YES,YOU MUST BEAT HIM RYU-SAN!"shouted Sakura.
"RYU-FOR THE TEAM!"said Chun-Li.
Ryu jumped back to his feet,just in time to see the villianous Sagat come flying down at him with a flying drop kick.
"No..you don't!"said Ryu as he leapt into the air at his enemy.
Ryu then slammed Sagat in the abdomen and followed it up with another pair of punches and finished it off as his charged up Dragon Punch once again collided with Sagat's chest.
"WHAMM!"
The impact sent Sagat crashing to the ground once more.
And once it was done,Ryu found that Sagat got twice the chest scar that Ryu gave him.
"Wow,take about history repeating itself."said Ryu.
It was over,Ryu had won..as did the entire street fighter team.
"HE DID IT!"said Sakura.
the crowds cheered in response to their hero.
"Alright,Ryu!"said Ken. "I knew he could do it."
"Well of course he can,he's Ryu-san!"said Sakura.
"Heh,sure kid."said Ken.
"Jealous Ken?"said Dee Jay. "Hardly."said Ken. "Heh,but Ryu can keep Shadaloo any day,just give me the USA any day."
Chun-Li leapt into Ryu's arms.
"Oh,you were magnificent!"said Li. "I was so worried for you!"
"It's okay,Li."said Ryu. "We did it,just like I knew we could..we won."
Guile raised a fist in the air and the crowds cheered once again.
An hour or so later,the AN forces and the local authorities were cleaning up the mess that was made after today's battle.
"Fighting against Shadaloo."Guile said to Sawada. "Just like old times eh,Sawada?"
"Yes,it was."said Sawada. "I admit,if it wasn't for you and your team we never would've won."
He then turned to Escher.
"You made the right call recruiting him, ."said Sawada as he bowed to him. "Indeed I did."said Escher. "Despite what flaws they all have,they're quite a team at that. The world's greatest warriors ever."
"Indeed they are."said Sawada grinning.
Guile and Cammy were seen talking to .
"Cammy told me about what you both went through with Satin Hammer,Hawk."said Guile. "It must've been tough."
"Yes it was."said Hawk. "But at least Sawada pardoned me and i'm back to my good old job again. And it's good to see you're back with your people as well,Cammy."
"What can I say luv."said Cammy. "Home is where the heart is,always is."
Sawada then approached Guile and saluted him.
"I hope we can also put away our past hatred for each other as well,Guile."said Sawada. "Life is after all too precious to hold grudges,even after all we went through."
Guile returned the salute. "Yes,it is at that,Sawada. I'll never forget the times we had with the AN,but my place is with the street fighters now,we've all got to go our own way."
"Yes,true."said Sawada. "And now..with the last of Shadaloo and Bison's forces put away,i've just talked to the mayor of Shadaloo...he said they're going to rename their beloved city...the city of heroes,in honor of your team and their valiant efforts."
"Hmmm...sounds a little corny."said Guile. "But anything would be better than the name of Bison's old haunts."
Sakura bowed to Ryu.
"It is good to see you again,Ryu-san."she said. "I've been training twice as hard since we last met."
"Good to hear,Sakura."said Ryu. "Perhaps one day when you graduate from your sensei,i'll take you under my wing."
"Oh,that would be a great honor,thank you!"said Sakura.
"Look at him eat it up with his little fan-club there."said Ken. "Told ya he was jealous."Cody whispered to Guy.
Guy chuckled. "Everyone needs their heroes Cody,everyone."
"I admit Guile,that was the most action i've ever seen in my life."said Escher. "Sometimes I wish I entered the world of street fighting in my younger years,but..my father wanted to follow the ways of politics."
"Hey you did well in the world of street fighting in your way,Escher."said Guile. "By bringing us together once again."
"Too true."said Escher. "Now..I think it's time we headed home,we've got some celebrating and planning to do."
Minutes later,Guile parted ways with Sawada and company and headed back home to the Street Fighter HQ.
While in the back of the jet,Guile recorded his new log entry in his pocket recorder.
"Street Fighter..final log for now. At last..we all overcame our demons and came together once again to defeat an all too common enemy or two..the menace of Shadaloo. I am honored to have worked with such a great team of heroes and fighters. And I know that in the future,whether any evil ever rears it's ugly head again to terrorize the world...they'll come face to face with...THE STREET FIGHTERS!
Within half an hour later,there was a party and celebration that they had at last achieved the greatest goal ever...the defeat of Shadaloo and for keeps!
Champagne was drank,snacks and food was eaten music was being played,the gang were all together once again and better than ever.
Guile,Li and Blanka all clinked their glasses in a toast.
"Too good times and good friends!"said Guile.
"And to years to come at that."said Li.
"Hear Hear!"said Blanka.
"I second that mates!"said Cammy as she joined in.
"But...do you really think it's over..or work is done now that Bison and his ilk are out of our lives forever?"
"Who knows Cammy?"said Escher. "Rose herself did tell me ealier that there may be some new terrorist cartels on the rise out there somehwere.
She even saw visions of warlords that would give Bison himself a run for his money.
But no matter what...we'll face it together...as a team!
Cammy smiled and nodded.
Just then,Master Gouken appeared through the doorway and approached Ryu and Ken.
"Sensei!"said Ken. "You made it!"
"Of course."said Gouken. "Dhalsim informed of your good fortune in defeating the last of your old enemies. You have both taken one step closer to becoming great warriors yourselves."
"That's all good to hear,sensei."said Ryu. "But...what of your brother..what of Akuma?"
"He's in good hands for now,Ryu."said Gouken.
"Thanks to the temple masters he has taken the ways of the monk and is well on his way to peace and enlightenment. But I shall stay in touch with the masters...in case of anything."
Ken laughed out loud.
"HA!"he said. "Akuma..a monk? That I have got to see someday!" Imagine him with a bald ass head even."
"Kennn!"said Ryu. "That's sensei's brother you're talking about!"
Gouken chuckled. "It's quite alright,Ryu."said Gouken. "I found the concept...amusing myself. So please...ease yourself...it is a time of great celebration."
"Mmmm..I guess so."said Ryu.
Later on,Cody and Jessica snuggled together in the lounge room while Ryu and Chun-Li did the same as did Ken and his new squeeze Eliza.
Even Guy and Rose were sharing an intimate moment together. And Blanka and Mel Lei were having some quiet time together.
Cammy then saw Guile out on the balcony of the HQ building.
She was hesitant at first,until Escher came up to her.
"Having...stage fright there are we Cammy?"he asked.
"Oh uh...sir!"said Cammy. "No..it's nothing..it's...oh,I just don't know right now."
"Cammy."said Escher. "You said you always fancied him...and it hasn't been easy for him since he and Lucinda went their seperate ways again.
Now would be a good time don't you think?"
Cammy pursed her lips together.
"Yeah,I guess it is."she said.
"Oh,and Cammy?"said Eshcer.
"Yes?"she said. "Welcome back."said Escher. "And please don't ever leave us again."
Cammy smiled and saluted the head man.
"No problem there sir."she said and winked at him.
Cammy then went out on the balcony and stood next to Guile,who was still clutching a glass of champagne.
"Hey."said Guile. "Oh,hey."said Cammy. "Need some time alone?"
"Alone?"said Guile. "I...i've learned that being alone isn't a nice place to be...for anyone."
Guile then downed his champange and placed the bottle on a table next to him and stood over Cammy.
He was about to take her into his arms,when suddenly she stopped him short.
"Now waitaminute...William."she said. "First of all...don't joke around. I know I was...brash before,not thinking clearly at that."
"I understand."said Guile. "We all do stupid things in our lives,myself included. I just want you to know..if you're ready to move forward..than so am I."
"Well...before I do."said Cammy. "I just want to know...what exactly did go down with you and Lucinda?"
"Oh that."said Guile. "Well...i'm sure Chun-Li told you about what recently happened with Blanka?"
"In a nutshell yeah."said Cammy. "All I can say is that it's looks like that I wasn't the only one who was having a bad year there.
So...what happened?'
Guile sighed.
"After...Blanka came back to the US with Lucinda and myself. Lucinda and I had a serious little talk.
She said she understood that I had a new path with the street fighters. She was proud of me for saving the world one life at a time,but...we were now truly of two different worlds now. We..parted on good ways at least."
Cammy sighed.
"Oh...William..i'm so sorry."she said. "I just feel...responsible for that."
"Hey..don't be."said Guile. "I knew it was for the best. And i'm glad that you managed to patch things up with Delta Red at that.
Just remember...we all need someone...for such is a lonely heart,right?"
Cammy looked into Guile's eyes.
"That's so true."she said.
And with that said,the two soldiers embraced each other and shared a kiss under the moonlight.
Escher saw it,smiled and closed the door behind them,giving them some well deserved privacy.
"Discipline..justice..commitment."he said. "This is the street fighter code of honor..and all in a day's work..for the street fighters."
THE END.
EPILOGUE(Like the story itself...heh.)
The remains of Bison's castle hideout...far off from the renamed City of Heroes.
Deep within the castle in a computer control room...something starts to hum to life,and something begins to shake and glow violently.
Something...evil begins to re-awaken.
Emerging from the remains of the computer's system Bison's entire hand and arm emerges from the rubble.
Suddenly...the rest of the room begins to shake voilently and a series of explosions start to go off and the entire castle begins to explode and fall apart.
The castle remains are then enveloped in the sand,as nothing but a sand dune remains.
And watching from the distance is a single man dressed in a dark robe with a hood and he is holding a detonator device.
The man lowers his robe,he is Zangief the once falledn russian wrestler.
He smiles and then takes out a single cell phone-like communicator.
"President of Russia."he said. "I finished the detonator charges that were laid there to begin with.
My former master..is now dead."
"Excellent comrade."said a voice on the other end. "Now return to mother russia at once,we have a new assignment for you."
"Understood,over and out."said Zangief.
He then put away his communicator,raised his hood over his head and started to head home for a well deserved rest.
STREET FIGHTER:EPILOGUE THE REAL END!
Author's closing note: I hope you all enjoyed this fic,and I hope it provides a good enough possibility as to the outcome of the recent street fighter cartoon show from the 90's.
