Fantastic Four members Ben Grimm, Johnny Storm together with twelve-year old Franklin Richards and the residents of Yancy Street in New York's Lower East Side have successfully driven back the dark elf horde threatening their homes and livelihood. After three days of non-stop fighting and no hope for reinforcements, the leaders of the dark elf horde have begun a hasty retreat through their portals.
As the jubilant residents of Yancy Street celebrate their victory, Franklin Richards pursues several stragglers of the dark elf horde. "You're not getting away that easily!"
Ben Grimm calls out to Franklin. "Frankie! Get back here! Don't get too close to that portal"
Hearing Ben's voice above the noise, Johnny Storm follows his twelve year old nephew. "I'm on it Ben! Frankie, let those stragglers go. They're not worth it. We've already won!"
Franklin pays no heed to his uncle and continues in his pursuit of the stragglers. Franklin does not notice that he has stepped into the portal.
Johnny bursts towards the portal hoping to pull Franklin out before it closes.
But just as the Human Torch reaches the portal, it disappears with a popping sound.
"Sue is gonna kill me," said Johnny as he shakes his head looking at the space where the portal once hung.
"Wrong, sport. Sue is gonna kill us!" said Ben as he placed his massive hand on Johnny's shoulder.
Calista and Neela were a good distance from Malekith's castle when a portal opens up in the clearing ahead of them. The pair quickly hid behind a fallen log as four dark elf soldiers emerge from the portal.
Calista and Neela watched intently as a dark haired boy came running after the dark elf soldiers.
"Uh-oh. Mom and Dad are gonna kill me," uttered Franklin when he realized where he was.
Pointing his battleaxe at Franklin, the leader of the dark elf soldiers turned to his compatriots and said, "Look at what we have here, Fresh Midgard meat! Let's chop him up into pieces and make a stew out of him!"
The soldiers surround Franklin. "Midgard child stew with wild mushrooms and potatoes. My favorite!" said one the soldiers as he unsheathed his sword and approached Franklin menacingly.
"I don't understand what you guys are saying but all I know is: you're in for a world of hurt. Come at me!" replied Franklin as the soldiers advanced upon him.
One of the soldiers throws his spear at Franklin which the teenager effortlessly evades by performing a tumble. He zaps the soldier with beams of white light coming from his eyes sending the soldier into the depths of the forest. Another soldier tries to hack at the teenager with his sword which misses Franklin's throat by an inch. Franklin does a side step and gives the soldier a punch to the gut causing the soldier to double over as Franklin grabs him and plants a knee to his jaw.
Calista sat in awe as she saw how Franklin handled himself. He's quite good. But not as good as me and he's cute. What am I thinking? Boys aren't cute! They're yucky and they smell bad! But he smells good, I can smell him from afar. Oh! Never mind!
"Get him! Don't let that child make fools out of you!" roared the dark elf leader as beams of white light shoot out from Franklin's eyes and knocks him to the ground. The dark elf leader moans as he struggles to get up.
"Let's rush the brat!" a soldier called out as he throws a net over Franklin.
"Not so hot now, eh?" said the soldier who got a knee to the jaw as he tightened the cords to close the net.
Franklin is ensnared in the net. He tries to rip at the cords but they won't break. The net must have some kind of magic! I'm a goner for sure!
"The boy is trapped in the net! You stay here, Neela while I go help him!" said Calista from behind the fallen log.
Neela watched as Calista leapt into the air. "Be careful, Calista!"
"Well, look at this! The boy's little girlfriend has come to save him!" said one of the soldiers as he waved his sword in Calista's direction.
Before the dark elf soldier could react, Calista swings her leg upward and plants her foot into the soldier's face. The soldiers falls to the ground unconscious.
"That's what you get for saying that he's my boyfriend!" Calista blurted out in English as she looked at Franklin who smiled at her from under the net.
Stomping her feet in embarrassment, Calista turned her gaze to the other soldiers. "Who's next?" she said in the elven language.
"Me!" replied he biggest of the dark elf soldiers as he steps to the front and stops before Calista. "My friends and I will make three course dinner out of you and your boyfriend!" the soldier chuckled.
Calista lets the comment slide and bows in respect to her challenger. The soldier bows back and takes several steps back as Calista takes several quick steps to close the distance between her and her challenger. The soldier stands in a defensive pose as he gets ready for Calista's incoming attack. At the last moment, the heir to the throne of Themyscira slides down to the forest floor and sweeps the soldier's legs. The soldier falls belly up with a loud as Calista smashes her elbow into the his temple rendering the soldier unconscious. The remaining soldier runs toward Calista swinging his two swords wildly. The Amazon princess smiles as she avoids being hit by the panic stricken soldier's swords. The soldiers tires himself out and sputters to a stop. Calista mercifully knocks him out by touching her forefinger to his temple. The soldier falls to the ground unconscious. "HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND!" she roars.
Seeing his injured colleagues, the leader of the dark elf soldiers tucks tail and runs into the deep forest.
Neela sees a knife, picks it up and slices at the nets cords to free Franklin.
"Thank you for your help," said Franklin as he got up. "You fight really good and you're pretty strong," he said as he turned to Calista.
"I know," replied Calista as her face reddened.
"My name's Franklin. What's your name?"
"I'm Calista and she's Neela," replied Calista as she pointed to her companion.
"Why is your face turning red?" Neela asked Calista.
"It-It's nothing."
"I think you like this boy. He is quite handsome but not in an elven way," chuckled the elf girl.
"I do not! We Amazons never think of such things. I just think he is a good fighter," Calista replied defensively.
Neela smiles and nods at Franklin.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST MY SON?" Susan Storm-Richards screamed into the monitor. Ben and Johnny could feel her anger and frustration as they tried to avoid making eye contact.
"We're sorry, Suzie. Frankie went after some dark elf stragglers and the portal closed just as he stepped inside of it," replied Ben as he looked down at the floor.
"You're sorry? Is that all you can say? I put him under your care while we were out fighting with the Avengers! Who knows what's happening to him right now!" sobbed Susan.
Reed Richards stepped into the frame and put a hand on Susan's shoulder. "We'll get Franklin back, Sue. I promise. Ben, Johnny get the teleporter out of storage. Sue and I will be at the Baxter Building by the morning."
"Sure thing, Reed. I'm really sorry. Ben and I will do everything to help get Franklin back," said Johnny.
"I know you will, Johnny."
