'Hope's Peak Academy,the most well known academy in the world,where only the best can enter,they're called Ultimates,my dream always has been to be one of them,an elite of the society,an example for other people,someone to be relied on,and as a matter of fact,I did it,my efforts paid off and I made it,I always worked hard enough to try and make it,and I did it.'
Makoto- « My name,it's Makoto Naegi,and I'm the Ultimate Affluent Progeny,I could understand why people would say I didn't work hard to get here,as I could probably have got my way through with influence and money,but I'm not known for that,my family has always been on the top,I'm rich and I'm the heir of the most powerful family along with my sister,I win billions in only a week,I could have everything I want,but that's not how I decided to do this,I proved why I should be enrolled in Hope's Peak when they scouted me,they've seen the things I've done with the influence given to me,just with the money I won,I raised salaries of most of the different types of works existing in the entire world,reduced taxes in more than a hundred countries,I even became the prime minister at my young age,along with someone else,as we decided to share the role together to make a bigger impact on society and make it better,just for people to change their ways for caring about others and the planet,I reduced pollution's percentage by thirty percent in Asia,I made joblessness disappear in Europe and America,I've done even more,but these were the principal reasons of why I got enrolled in this academy,because I've done things my way,without cheating,only working,I always tried to solve problems without money,and it sometimes worked,some people couldn't be talked to,of course,but it still means I worked,I'm proud of being here,even with what people might say about me,I don't care,I've won my way here though fairness. »
'And here I am,in front of this school,I'll meet my classmates soon enough,I hope they won't see me as a simple rich kidafter all,I know about all of them,and expect one or two,they shouldn't do that.'
And here I am,standing in front of it,but as soon as I took a step in,my head began to hurt,my vision got blurry and the world around me was spinning,in the end,I blacked out.

I woke up in a classroom,having a slight headache.
Makoto- « A school ? Am I in Hope's Peak ? »
I looked around and noticed a flyer,on it was written something.
Makoto- « Hey there new kid ! The next semester is about to start. Starting today,this school will be your entire world ? For some people,I guess,but this just mean I'll have more influence after graduation,nothing more,I won't really be here all the time either,at least,it's what I would have liked it to be,but seeing the windows just changed my mind,I've most likely been kidnapped. »
The windows were covered by giant metal plates,I didn't like the situation at all,but I had to explore,I didn't have a choice.
Makoto- « Wait,what time is it ? »
I looked at the clock in the room and saw that I was supposedly late,well,in this kind of situation,it didn't matter,but I still had to go there,maybe other people had been kidnapped along with me,so I walked toward the entrance,to at least confirm my doubt's of a kidnapping,when I arrived,the first thing I saw was fourteen people in this room,along with a giant metallic door.
?- « Hey,a new kid ! We're fifteen,then doesn't that make him the last student ? »
?- « Perhaps there are still more people ? »
?- « No,I think this should be it,but we never know. »
?- « H-hey,I'm not one to j-judge,but you're late,you did know that the meeting was at eight a.m.,right ? »
?- « Seriously ? Asking him that when he just came in ? He probably is in the same situation than us,did you wake up in a random room too ? »
Makoto- « Yes,in a classroom nearby. »

I approached a little girl,dressed in a white school uniform,she had been the one to tell me I was late,I think her name was Chihiro Fujisaki.

Makoto- « I wouldn't say that,because most people think I just have money,and well,they wouldn't be entirely wrong,but even without money,I would have worked the best I could. »

I walked off and went toward a really muscular girl wearing a sailor uniform,but way too small for her.

Next,I went to see a girl in a simple school uniform,minding her own business.

As soon as Asahina said that,the monitor on the wall turned on but we couldn't see anything except a shadowy figure with a glitching screen in front of it.

The voice was here again,and like we didn't predict at all,a black and white teddy bear came out of actually nowhere and landed on the podium of the scene.

Taka- « There might just be a speaker inside ! »
Suddenly,the teddy bear got up and pointed at Kiyotaka.

I opened my e-handbook and looked through it,the first rule was that we couldn't be outside of the campus,like we could leave anyway,the second one was about nighttime and that some areas were off limits during it,the third one was that we had to sleep only in the dormitory and that we will be punished if we sleep anywhere else,the fourth one is that we can explore Hope's Peak with minimal restrictions,the fifth one is that we can't attack Monokuma or destroy any cameras,the sixth one is about being the blackened if we kill someone,we will graduate unless we're found out,and the seventh one is that rules can be added if necessary.

I stepped out of the room while smiling,but still a little pissed off and scared,I have to maintain a certain image,but I never wanted to hear someone say that to my face.
Makoto- « It's a good thing that I know where I have to go,because I need some long alone time… »
I walked quickly to my room through all the school,it made me visit a little while passing,I found my room and took the key that was in the door,I entered and closed it,and fell on the floor,my back against the door.
Makoto- « I already have a target on my back,what was I thinking ? Why did I have to make her an enemy from the start ? I'm so stupid… »
I sighed heavily and slap my cheeks from both side.

I got up from the door and I threw myself on the bed that was in the middle of the room.
Makoto- « The thing is that it could still get worst. »
I saw a paper on the wall,I took it and began to read it,it said that water was cut off during night time and that boys had toilets while girls had a sewing kit,that only the girls had locks on their bathrooms' doors and that it was very difficult to make another key for the room,I putted it in my pocket and sighed once more.
Makoto- « I can't even take a late shower ? »
I sighed again,went back on the bed and fell asleep from the exhaustion,simply because I became tired of arguing with children that didn't know how to behave,I don't know how much time after,but someone was ringing at my door so I woke up,I went to open it and saw someone I didn't actually expected to see.

Taka- « Since we all have a room,they're confident in us staying for a long time,but it still means we don't have to sleep on the floor and live like animals. »

Sayaka- « On the hotel,so living area,there's the cafeteria and the kitchen,there are some public baths,but they're closed off,a storage room in the same state,a laundry room,our rooms,bathrooms right next to the dorms with a trash room as well,we have classroom and bathrooms as well outside of the living area,we have a gym with a trophy room between it and the hallway,we have the entrance,a closed infirmary,a school shop and this weird red door that doesn't open,that's all there is on this floor. »
Taka- « Thank you for this,well,if this is all,then why don't we all go and take a nice deserved rest ? »
Makoto- « Wait,everyone investigated,right ? »

Mondo- « I just found that in the school shop,there's really everything you need,and when I say everything,well,I mean it,in the storage room,there might even be more stuff. »

I didn't know what it was,but I stretched myself and lightly yawned,I went to shower and take some clothes when I saw that there was my outfit in the same version at least ten times in my closet.

I dressed and went out of my room,I went directly to the dining hall to eat something,I took an apple and eated it while I went explore the school,maybe I would find some things,we never know.

Makoto- « I actually get this a lot more than you could imagine. »
Mukuro- « Then people understand what you are,and this is a good thing,don't you think ? »
Makoto- « It only just depends on who I'm talking to,really. »
Mukuro nodded.
Makoto- « While we're talking,why don't we go explore a bit of the school ? We never know what we might find,right ? »
Mukuro- « True,I actually wanted to go see the school shop,maybe there will be everything we need like Mondo said. »
Makoto- « Let's go then. »
We investigated the school shop and didn't find anything useful to us.
Mukuro- « That was a waste of time. »
Makoto- « I have to admit that it was,do you think there might be no clues as to how we could get out ? »
Mukuro- « I've been trying to tell myself that,but I have to admit that there might not be any other way out than killing,Makoto. »
Makoto- « I won't lie to you,this is actually hard to think there's another way out. »
Mukuro- « And to say that we're in this predicament because of a person we don't even know... »
Makoto- « I actually find that quite funny,in a way. »
Mukuro- « Funny ? How is any of this funny ? »
Makoto- « The fact is that not a lot of us have felt actual danger before,and now that they do,they have the typical reaction of anyone. »
Mukuro- « What are you trying to say ? »
Makoto- « That after all,we're just normal people with a special something and that anybody could be here. »
Mukuro- « Is that what you think ? »
Makoto- « And what do you think ? »
Mukuro- « I still have to make an opinion on my own,I don't really know yet. »
Makoto- « Well it's alright,I didn't expect you to have an opinion very quickly. »
Mukuro- « Oh really ? »
Makoto- « Is that bothering you ? »
Mukuro- « This depends on why you didn't expect me to have one. »
Makoto- « I never expect anything,this could be disappointing,or most of the time at least. »
Mukuro- « Why is that ? »
Makoto- « I told you,I don't like disappointment,I only want to do things if I'm sure of them succeeding,even though I do take risks,if I can avoid them,then it's for the better. »
Mukuro- « I can understand that,avoiding problems if they are useless is one way of taking a better path. »
Makoto- « Taking a ridiculously difficult path when you can make it easier for yourself is actually dumb. »
Mukuro- « You said it,well we should stop the investigations for today,don't you think so ? »
Makoto- « True,see you later then ? »
Mukuro- « It's not like we won't see each other again,we won't go far anyway. »
Makoto- « True. »
We parted ways and I went to the dining hall to eat something else than my apple,I hadn't seen the time pass,it seems.
'Nothing happened yet,at least.'
I went back to my room a little after eating and took a walk outside after some time.
Makoto- « This is quickly becoming boring,maybe I should try to spend time with the others ? »
I searched around for my classmates and saw Chihiro talking to Mondo,and he then went to the cafeteria,the moral compass saw me and quickly came toward me.
Chihiro- « H-hello,at t-the very least I d-didn't have to search everywhere t-to find you. »
Makoto- « Are you trying to find everyone ? »
Chihiro- « W-well yes,we d-did investigate today as well a-after all. »
Makoto- « I see,you want everyone to talk about what they found,right ? »
Chihiro- « I d-don't really think anyone w-will have found anything,b-but it's to at least give them some k-kind of hope,even if t-this doesn't stay f-for long... »
Makoto- « Chihiro,you're going at it with a good intention,but how do you want others to believe it while you don't even think that ? »
Chihiro seemed to freeze on the instant.
Makoto- « I'm sorry if this will make you upset,but you clearly don't believe in the investigations. »
Chihiro- « B-but I d-do ! It's just t-that I wouldn't w-want to upset anyone by t-telling them that they w-won't bring us a-anything... »
Makoto- « Chihiro... »
Chihiro- « I-it's my role to keep everyone motivated ! I-I can't just tell them that ! »
Makoto- « …I understand,you won't have to tell them,don't worry. »
I patted Chihiro on the shoulder and went toward the cafeteria,when everyone arrived,again,a complete waste of time,no one found anything and we all went to our rooms,disappointed,I didn't move a bit from my bed and this time,I didn't fall asleep,even when the announcment started,I didn't.
Makoto- « I can't even manage to rest correctly,being afraid sure is tough. »
'I guess I won't sleep tonight,huh?'
I suddenly heard someone use the doorbell.
'Who can that be after the announcement ?'
I slightly opened the door and asked who it was.
Chihiro- « H-hum,it's me,Chihiro. »
I fully opened the door and looked at the girl.
Makoto- « Yes ? What is it ? »
Chihiro- « I-I wanted to ask y-you something,c-can I come in ? »
Makoto- « Of course you can. »
Chihiro entered in my bedroom and I closed the door.
Makoto- « So ? What did you want to ask me ? »
Chihiro- « How are you staying so calm ? »
She asked this so quickly and so out of the blue that this was definitiely out of character.
Makoto- « I'm not calm,you know,I'm scared,like everyone,but I just don't let the others see it,I wouldn't want to cause a scene,after all,the prime minister panicking would mean trouble and problems for the whole country,but here,we're fifteen,and so this would still put some mischief in the group,that's not what anyone wants right now. »
Chihiro- « T-this is actually humiliating... »
Makoto- « Huh ? »
Chihiro- « Making people believe in themselves is actually what I do best,or what I'm supposed to do,but I don't even believe in myself... »
Makoto- « Then tell me something you've never told to anyone before. »
Chihiro- « H-huh ? »
Makoto- « If you don't believe in yourself,then let someone else believe in you for the time being,that's what I always say. »
Chihiro- « R-really ? B-but then I would have to do t-that... »
Makoto- « If you don't want to,that's fine by me,even if this encourages you,I can tell you something I didn't tell to anyone as well. »
Chihiro seemed to be thinking as hard as she could and nodded to herself.
Chihiro- « Makoto,are your outfits in different sizes as well ? »
Makoto- « I didn't check,give me one second. »
I checked in the closet and saw that indeed,my clothes were in different sizes.
Makoto- « They all are,why ? »
Chihiro- « Can I take one of them and use your bathroom really quickly ? »
Makoto- « I guess ? »
Chihiro- « Thank you. »
She took one of the smallest suits and saw the lock on the bathroom door.
Chihiro- « W-wait,y-y-you have a lock on y-your bathroom d-door ? »
Makoto- « Hmm ? Oh yeah,that,Monokuma gave me the wrong room. »
Monokuma- « Hey ! You're not supposed to tell that to anyone ! »
Monokuma appeared from nowhere and seemed upset.
Makoto- « I told her I would tell her something I haven't told anyone,even if this isn't too impressive,what's wrong with that ? »
Monokuma- - « Hmph,be happy that I'm in a good mood,I won't execute you this time,but tell anyone else and you're dead,got it ? »
Makoto- « Yeah,yeah,get out of here,right now,by the way,it's Toko's room here. »
Monokuma disappeared while mumbling something.
Chihiro- « I-I thought you were a girl for a second. »
Makoto- « Nope,I'm not,but I have a girl's room,so... »
Chihiro went in the bathroom and I waited,I looked in the closet and also saw that he took an underwear and socks,as much as a pair of shoes.
Makoto- « Wait,underwear ? »
He turned around to face the door and saw it being opened,Chihiro got out of it dressed in my clothes and he seemed more...masculine,surprisingly.
Chihiro- « This is the thing no one knows about me except my family. »
Makoto- « That you like crossdressing as a boy ? »
Chihiro- « N-no,I'm a boy. »
