Catalina's troops spent day and night scouting around the territory. To this point Catalina was paranoid. She knew Miguel had spies; good ones. That's how she ended up in Miguel's grasp that day when Marisol was taken. So far they found nothing which made her more than furious making her soldiers work as three times harder from what they're usually used to.

Looking from beyond the path from there as she couldn't take her mind of Marisol. It made her sick to her stomach to the thought of what he's doing to her. Or what he's done. . .

She shook her head praying that wasn't the case. Either way, he was going to die once Catalina finally has him in her clutches.

Her eyes fell on Ashley walking up beside her. He forced a smile while she just looked blankly at him waiting for the news he was bringing.

"Anything?" she asked not looking towards him.

He shook his head, "Not a trace."

She turned to him and glared, "Well, keep searching."

His jaw tightened as he couldn't take this anymore.

"This is ridiculous!" he snapped loudly making some of the soldiers close by turn towards them, "we've been out here all day not finding jack shit!"

"I don't give a damn!" Catalina hissed back, "they're out here, you guys aren't looking hard enough."

"We've searched everywhere! And there's been nothing; nothing!"

She narrowed her eyes, "If nothing turns up today then I'll make your asses get up twice as early tomorrow."

"What the hell's wrong with you? You get attacked by some and you just assume that scurrying around here when they already have Aunt Mary."

"I'm trying to keep this town safe!" she growled stepping closer to him, "You know, being responsible? Something your sorry ass wouldn't know," she turned away and scoffed, "so many changes I made to you and you're still being a fucking girl.

He widened his eyes taken aback by his mother's harsh words, "You're so fucking cruel, I'm starting to think grandma was right about you."

"And what's that?"

"That you have no damn heart for me. . ." he spat.

Before Catalina could argue back with him some of the soldiers were walking back up to her with one of them holding a gun to a strange man's head. She pushed Ashley out the way rushing towards him pulling out her own gun.

"Ma'am," one of them spoke, "we found this bastard by the resource center with a gun."

One of the soldiers pushed him down to the ground with him looking back up at Catalina with fear in his eyes as she stared back with a murderous glare.

"Really now?" she paced around him.

"Please! I'm just a rookie," he blurted backing away as far from her as possible, "j-just let me go!"

This time Catalina laughed with the soldiers looking at each other with confusion, "Let you go?! Are you fucking kidding me?!"

Ashley walked up behind her chewing his bottom lip. He knew that this man was working with Miguel too, but he also knew the penalty with there was any suspicion that you're working with him.

She grabbed him by the throat smiling while she watched him trying to gasp for air, "Out of all the spies you are probably the dumbest I've seen."

"M. . .Miguel wants. . .to. . .send the. . .worst. . .first," he tried to make out.

She looked him straight in the eyes with a fiery glint, "That doesn't matter now, does it? Because I will look high and low for any more of you bastards whether you're the worst or the best."

Catalina then dragged the man away the soldier straightening up to stand his knees. She pointed the gun to the back of his head making sure to dig deep into his hair to get to the scalp.

Before she could pull the trigger he turned to her pale as snow looking up at her with pleading eyes.

"You can't do this."

She raised a brow, "Why not?"

He gulped, "If you kill me then I won't be able to take care of my kids. Miguel will throw them out with me gone and they can't fend for themselves."

"Is that so?"

He nodded rapidly, "Please, I beg of you. He thinks they're leaches to our resources but they're just so damn young."

Ashley ran up to the two with his mother turning to him glaring daggers. He looked into the man's frightened eyes and frowned. Ashley could tell her didn't like working for this man, he was just probably desperate and wanted to find somewhere for his children to survive.

Unfortunately, Miguel wasn't the one for hospitality. He always wanted something in return. . .

"We really don't have to do this," Ashley tried to reason, "we can't keep him as a prisoner, you know, less bloodshed for everyone."

"Stay out of this," she growled making him shrank, "I don't give a damn about your sob story, your people took my fucking sister away!"

"Mom, he didn't do it, Miguel did!!"

But she didn't listen; she never listened.

"I will get rid of everything last one of you pieces of shit if I have to myself!!"

"Wait!!"

It was already too late. The man fell to the ground as blood flowed from the back and front of the bullet wound with brain matter surrounding the head. Catalina stepped away with blood and brain matter covering her clothes. She sighed before looking up at Ashley looked up at her red with fury.

"We could've held him, prisoner," he growled lowly, "but you chose to murder instead!!"

"I did what I had to do," she hissed back, "and if I had to kill them so fucking be it."

"But. . .but what about what he said. . ."

"He was trying to play with our heads, Ash! He wanted the cowardly way out, why won't you wake up?!"

"Why won't you wake up?! Don't you see what you're doing? Killing people you think are traitors, yesterday you killed a woman for even mentioning Miguel!"

"Well, she was talking about him a lot."

"Mom, why won't you think, is this really something Aunt Mary would do?"

She narrowed her eyes, "Mary's not here; I am! And will make sure that I—"

"Ma'am, ma'am!" someone cried running out the gates getting Catalina's attention, "it's Victoria, she's gone!"

Catalina widened her eyes in disbelief, "What? When?!"

"I went to her house, but her cart was gone so I knocked on the door, went inside even, and she's nowhere to be seen."

Catalina shook her head, she knew she let Coyote and Cobra go to Matthew but they never said anything about Victoria coming along.

Unless. . .

She whipped her head around to her soldiers as her blood boiled, "Gather more of the men, I smell a snake."

As they nodded heading back into the town Ashley grabbed his mother's arm pulling her back in desperation.

"No, not miss Tori," he demurred desperately, "she would never not even in a million years. She the sweetest most loyal person in this town."

"Didn't you forget that she was married to that man? She wanted to get away from here because of their history. She knew she could die if we found out she secretly still loved him, and went to him for his protection!"

"Are you fucking kidding me? Do you know how much she despises him?"

"And do you know that we're doing all this for her monstrous son? He's the main reason for all this chaos!"

She yanked her arm away from him walking alongside her soldiers. But she stopped at the entrance before speaking again.

"You know, I'm kinda glad Coyote went with Cobra," she chuckled, "maybe she'll slip up and he'll come running back here. Then we can just go ahead and give Miguel what he wants and this'll all be over."

As she followed behind Ashley looked down at streaming blood from the man praying to himself that this was just all a big nightmare.

Coyote, for once in your life please keep your mouth shut; for the safety of Moo. He has no protection here anymore. . .

The night was coming to an end as the bright moon was coming down and the morning sun coming up. Violet slept peacefully beside Moo who had his arms wrapped around her waist. For most of the night, she couldn't stop thinking about his bite. He was clearly fine, but Violet still worried deeply about what else the bite may have affected instead of him just turning.

Like his mindset. . .

She shuddered trying not to think about it too much and just focused on how cute Moo looked in his sleep. Then she realized that the two actually slept in the same bed together. Clementine would kill him if she saw them like this. He was much braver than she was, she wouldn't even risk sneaking into his room with all these people around. Or maybe he just fell asleep accidentally as she did.

She stretched her arms under rays of the morning light shining on her pale skin and started to sit up a little rubbing sleep from her groggy eyes. She looked over at Moo who still was still snoring heavily while she just smiled thoughtfully. He's always been a snorer ever since the two were young. She brushed some of his blue-tipped dreadlocks that were in his face to the back of his ear then placed a kiss on top of his forehead.

Violet turned to Blossom who was wide awake chewing on her blanket again. Violet was honestly so glad she doesn't cry when she wakes up like Clem's babies do. Blossom turned her attention to her spitting the blanket out just to stand up in her crib. She knew it was time for her to be fed while she just stared at her mother cooing softly.

Violet stood up, stretching her aching bones then went to her nightstand to look for her breast pump in the drawers. Without her realization, Blossom sat back down quietly in her crib, observing her mother. She sighed with relief when she found the pump in the last drawer under a bunch of junk and old photos.

She looked back at the crib and giggled at the sight of her daughter cocking her head and looking at her.

"I know, I know, I'm getting it right now."

She sat on the bed across from the room looking back at Moo to see if he was still asleep. Luckily he was. She turned her back to him just to make sure as she took off her tank top, dropping it on the floor. Then she slightly lifted up her bra and saw that she was still leaking.

"Damn, I'm so full," she whispered to herself, "better get this over with."

She placed the pump on her left breast, the one that was leaking the most, and started to pump the milk into the bottle as it was already halfway full. She went to do the other one as she didn't get as much as the other one, but it still was enough to fill up the bottle.

After that she went over to Blossom as her little arms reached out her mother. She smiled picking and taking her to the bed to feed her. When she sat her on her lap giving her the bottle, without hesitation, she almost snatched the bottle from her, as she began to wolf it all down.

"Whoa, slow down, Blossie," she said, taking the almost done bottle away from her, "I don't want you to choke on it."

She whined trying to reach out for it before Violet slowly gave it back to her but holding on to it to make sure she doesn't try to jug it down again.

While she did that she looked back up to Moo who was still sleep but snoring louder when his hand searched for Violet's presence, she smirked watching him as he kept feeling around the space where she laid at.

Once Blossom was done Violet she patted her back to burp her, sat her down on the bed while she went in her drawers to put on a dry tank top. She found a dark brown one and slid it down over her. She slipped a little blue shirt with many cute flowers onto Blossom and changed her into a new diaper. She then placed her back in the crib going back to laid down beside Moo a little longer since it was too early.

When sat down she looked back up to her daughter who wasn't paying her no attention anymore continuing to chew on the blanket. Before Violet could lay herself back down she gasped interrupted by some large hands sliding their way to her shoulders. Moo's head began to rest on the crook of her neck placing kisses all the way up to her cheek.

"Hey, sunshine," he breathed quietly, "how'd you sleep last night?"

"I slept. . .fine," she paused feeling his hands starting to massage her shoulders.

He smiled squeezing a bit harder, "Does this hurt?"

She nodded, "Mhm. . ."

"Then that means you have a lot of tension in you," he continued massaging her shoulders, "you need to relax and it'll start to feel like the best thing you've had in a while."

She started to do what he said by just resting her shoulders and let Moo take care of the rest. She winced when he popped something but began to feel the pain slowly going away. The corners of her mouth started to curl up as she could now feel the pain turning into pleasure.

"You're right," she moaned, "I should've gotten these a long time ago."

He chuckled, "Sometimes it just takes a little hurting to get to the pleasure~"

Violet raised a brow while she blushed smiling, "Oh? Is that from experience?"

"More or less."

He soon stopped sliding his hands down around her waist putting his chin over her shoulder rocking her as he did.

"The morning's still young," he pointed out looking out the window, "we can stay here a little bit longer, can't we?"

She shrugged, "I guess—"

When she said that she was interrupted by Moo falling backward on the bed pulling her along with him. She squealed out in laughter both scaring her and making her laugh. She rolled off of him laying beside him looking at each other while they were laughing. He tucked some of her hair behind her ear placing a kiss on her lips.

"You're so beautiful," he complimented lovingly, "you know that right?"

She grinned, "If you keep telling me every five minutes."

He looked away exhaling slowly, "I'm sorry I came out harsh last night, I just didn't want you to worry much."

Violet frowned, "It was a fucking bite, Moo, why wouldn't I worry?"

"I don't know," he sighed, "I should've shown you sooner. I was afraid you were gonna freak out like you did last night."

"It just. . .seems so unreal. . .I never saw anyone who got bit and survived without cutting any limbs."

"I know, I couldn't figure it out myself. You know, when I first got it I really thought my life was over. I stayed in the house all night just waiting for myself to turn, but I lived to see another day. I wasn't running a fever, I wasn't coughing up blood or I didn't feel dizzy. I kept waiting and waiting all that week until I finally realized that I might be immune to a corpse's bite."

Violet looked up wondering about something, "Have you ever. . .bitten someone else and they turned."

Moo shook his head, "Never tried it. Although, I really want to someday."

Hope he doesn't. . .

"Do you think your blood might be the key component to your medicine to help the infection of a bite?"

"You know, it might be, I never really thought of it like that."

"Well. . .maybe you should try it."

They sat in silence for a minute before Violet could suggest something that crossed her mind while they stayed here. She hesitated for a few minutes thinking it was probably stupid. She thought back to how Minerva always turned her down when she asked.

He looked at her in concern as she kept second-guessing on asking him.

"Vi, what's wrong?"

She took a deep breath prepared for her to be shot down again.

"There's something I've always wanted to do with someone I really care about and. . .I never got the chance to ever do it."

He raised a brow, "What is it?"

"Have you. . .um. . ." she kept pausing still scared for him to say no, "have you ever danced with someone before?"

A smile crept on his face, "Never, I always got down to the nitty-gritty."

She got from the bed looking down smiling sheepishly, "Do you. . .want to. . .?"

He sat up chuckling to himself, "Are you sure with me? I never did it before and I might be pretty shitty at it."

Violet then gently grabbed his hand pulling him up from the bed looking into his eyes with such soft demeanor and great gratitude that he didn't say no.

"Don't worry," she smiled grabbing both his hands, "we'll learn as we go."

She lifted up their right hands a bit putting the left ones down as she slowly began to move. He followed her lead by moving his feet side to side like hers as if the two were swaying back and forth.

As they did so Violet felt she was on air. She thought to herself that her heart was no longer hurting anymore. She even got someone to dance with her all these years. With constant asking with Minerva she always said no to her, she never wanted to be alone do activities together except when they slept together. She honestly thought Moo was going to be Minerva number two.

But, boy, he was beginning to prove her wrong.

When she was with him she felt as if a part of her was missing all these years. She could finally truly smile again, breathe again, and never have to be alone again.

She soon got lost in the moment as she wrapped her arms around him resting her head on his chest with a soft smile feeling the comfort of trust and safety. He probably got lost too since he pulled her in with his arms around her waist resting his head on her bed of hair.

They both knew that this wasn't actually dancing, but they didn't care; they just wanted each other.

She later pulled away looking up at him both looking at each other with loving smiles with his hand against her cheek.

"Thanks for the dance, Moo," she thanked nervously, "I really appreciate it."

"Anything to make you happy, Vi."

They then stared at each other for a good minute before Blossom squealed out in laughter watching Moo and Violet. Violet looked away blushing brightly with Moo doing the same.

"I better get dressed," she scratched the back of her neck, "you know, just in case people are looking for us."

He frowned a little at that, "Um, sure yeah."

He went over to grab his shirts slipping them back on before walking to the door. He looked back at her as she looked back hating that he had to leave.

"Vi," he spoke up, "I never really done this before, having a real relationship," he started to smile again, "I'm grateful that you were the person I could have one with."

Violet grinned sheepishly while her heart started to grow more at those words. She was grateful that he was the one to show her what a real relationship like's too.

She was grateful to have someone like him.

"Thanks, Moo, I hope we can do this again."

"We will, soon."
