Clementine sat on the edge of her bed cradling with Luke sleeping peacefully in her arms. Though it was too early, she was so grateful that Hope tired herself out as smiled looking back at her crib. He began to yawn snuggling closer to her chest. This always made Clem instantly fall madly in love whenever Luke does that. She assumed it lets them know that he feels safe and loved in your presence. She brought him closer cuddling as he snuggled in more closely. She started to rock him to sleep humming softly as she did.

Such a cutie, she thought with a smile, I just hope you're my last one.

She never thought she'd have such an amazing family in an apocalypse, or a family at all for that matter. She just wished she could give them a better life, a life like hers before all of this started. She just loved them so much.

The night started to settle in as Clem watched the sun going down. She was glad Louis didn't have the night shift tonight, she just hated being without him at night. She also realized that this was the time for Violet and Moo to split from each other.

Every now and then she had second thoughts about the guy. Sure he was kind of snarky and looked a little shady, but he was Violet's best friend. She did let them go fishing at that time and nothing bad happened, actually, Violet seemed quite happier than usual. And he has helped out a lot during his time here.

Clem still really didn't really know how to feel about him as a person though. He seemed to warm up to Louis even being nice enough to teach him how to shoot. Every time she wanted to talk to him she would just get . . . scared having to get Violet to send the message to him. AJ even liked him with him showing the boy how to draw and make small talk with each other.

Most of the school could talk to him except for her. It was just something about his aura, how he looked and acted. It's one of the reasons she wanted him and Violet to be apart at night. He just seemed . . . off. He acted nothing like Bruce who hovered around Violet all the time, he looked like he knew her boundaries and space when she wanted it.

But Clem still didn't know overall was he safe to be around all together with no matter how much of the positive things he's done . . .

She jumped out of her thoughts when Louis walked into the room giving her a toothy grin as she grinned back.

"Hey there, beautiful," he said walking up to the bed closing the door behind him, "what' cha up to?"

"Just putting the babies to bed, that's all."

"They didn't give you any trouble this time?"

"You know Luke, he'll get fussy when he's tired anyway, but Hope . . ." she shuddered on how much of a nightmare it was to put her to bed.

Louis laughed, "Yep, Hope can be a challenge." He sat beside her resting his head on top of hers as he gave out a yawn, "I wanted to practice a little more on my aim before I went to sleep."

"How's that going?"

"Great, actually, Moo says I should work on my posture a little more before we get to the real stuff."

"Where is he now?"

"Outside talking to Vi."

She pursed her lips, "Doesn't he know it's almost dark outside?"

"Yeah, but I didn't wanna bother them, he said it won't take long anyway." She shook her head and sighed while furrowed his brows in concern, "Hey, what's up?"

"How do you feel about him, Lou?" she looked back up at him as he blinked.

"What?"

"How do feel about Moo?"

Louis looked up thoughtfully, "Well, he's not dangerous for starters. He's cool to talk to, he's been really helpful around here, and he's not mean; for the most part."

"But . . . how do you feel . . . when he's around Violet . . .?"

He started to frowned his eyebrows knitting, "Honestly, when he first came here, I really thought he might end hurting her some way," he then smirked, "now, I see that the two are really best friends. I noticed she opens up more to him and that he makes her happy; something she barely is. I believe he really brightens up her day."

"I guess . . ."

Louis touched her shoulder squeezing it gently, "Hey, he's proved he's nothing like Damien, okay?"

"You think so?"

"I know so," he glared down, "we should've never let that bastard go after what he did to Violet; she deserves better."

Clem looked at him and smiled, "It's a good thing she has Blossom, I think I've never seen her any happier."

"And Moo," he added.

"Right . . ."

Louis's face brightened as an idea popped up, "Ooh! How about you two get to know each other better by going hunting in the morning."

She cocked her head, "What are you talking about?"

"Ya'know, to break some ice between you two, it'll be great."

Clem down at such an idea. Alone with him? She would never think in a million years, sure the two did have quite a rocky encounter with each other, but would being alone together be such a good thing for them to get along better?

But he was Violet's friend, if everyone else trusted him then she should too. Not only would she do it for Violet, but she would also do it for herself too.

She took a deep breath swallowing her pride, "Alright, you win, I'll meet with him in the morning."

He smiled placing a kiss on her lips wrapping his arm around her waist, "Thanks, Clem, try not to kill each by the way."

She chuckled weakly, "We'll do our best."

Early that next morning Louis looked for Moo with Clem following behind, he had asked Storm where he was, but she said he hasn't come to bed all that night. Strange. When two went out to go search outside they found him smoking a cigar by the gates with his wolf sitting beside him. Louis was happy that he was already out here not having to wake him up. As he walked up to him Clem hesitantly followed behind.

"Hey, Moo," Louis chirped making Moo stop what he was doing, "I gotta job for you."

Without turning around Moo spoke, "What is it?"

"You're going hunting today with Clemmy here," he stepped aside to let Clem by.

As she walked up to him she could feel his coldness even more. He slowly turned her way looking at her with that only eye he had. He looked at her blankly for a moment before he smirked at her.

"Alright," he inhaled his cigar again turning away to blow it out, "I was in the mood to kill something anyway."

H-he meant hunting, right . . .?

She turned to Louis with a look of unsureness as he went on to grab her hand squeezing it reassuringly, "You'll be fine, Clem, trust me." He kissed her on her plump lips sliding his hand down her cheek.

She gave him a loving smile, "We'll be back soon, take care of the AJ and the kids."

"Alrighty, captain," he gave her one last kiss on her cheek before trotting off back to the dorms, "I'll see you soon, my darling."

Clem waved at him weakly before turning around towards Moo while he looked at her boredly still smoking on that cigar of his. She took a deep breath forcing a small smile knowing this was going to be one hell of a day.

As the two walked Clem tried hard not to stare at Moo much. Violet told her he was very sensitive about some things which probably included looking at his scarred eye. She wondered how he even got such a huge scar like, someone had to purposely do it instead of getting it in an accident.

He briefly glanced over to her legs raising a brow, "What's wrong with you?"

She turned to him in confusion, "What?"

"I can see you're limping a bit, are you alright?"

"Oh, it's probably just because of my prosthetic leg," she lifted up her pants leg revealing the metal leg.

Moo looked down kicking the dirt, "My brother has one too."

She cocked her head, "Why? If you don't mind me asking."

"His leg was so mangled during a battle we had a while back, he had to get it cut off so it would to any strain or infection."

"Is he . . . fine now?"

He nodded, "He's doing great, but he did lose position as deputy because of it and now he mostly stays inside not doing shit."

"That must suck."

They stopped near some bushes near a rabbits den, they sat down but stayed alert if anything came out. For almost more than ten minutes nothing came out, Clem groaned in frustration while Moo petted Smokey's head as rested on his lap. Clem relaxed not paying attention to the dormant rabbit den as she turned to Moo.

She felt a little more of ease around since he didn't do anything threatening or pose of any to her. She wanted to keep talking to him as it seems he wasn't the one to be the one to start conversation.

"So," Clem spoke getting Moo's attention, "where are you from?"

"Charlottesville," he said while still petting Smokey.

"Oh, you've been in the same town ever since this all started."

"Mostly, and you?"

"Georgia."

Moo blinked, "God, how the hell did you get all the way up here then?"

"Well, it all started when I met this man, Lee, he took care of me when all this shit began, we were in a group, but . . . you learn that they all fall apart."

"Pretty much."

Clementine then looked down sadly, "then later on he . . . he got bit . . . and I had to . . . put him down."

He frowned, "I'm sorry."

"Not long after I ended in two more groups and . . . they all turned out they were no good either," she sighed sadly, "everyone died in the second one and the third one they . . . kicked me out."

"Sounds like you been the road for some time."

"You're right about that," she chuckled lightly, "sometimes, really do miss my home in Georgia."

"What was it like when you were a kid?"

Clementine smiled recalling some great memories, "Life was great when I was a kid, I had a lot of friends in school, my parents were always by my side, and I just had no worries."

Moo smiled, "Really? I never had any friends beside Violet."

"My dad was a pretty great guy, he even built me this treehouse I had in the backyard," her smile slowly faded, "the treehouse is what saved me from being chewed alive until Lee came."

"Did you ever . . . see your parents again . . .?"

She nodded stiffly trying not to cry, "Yeah, um . . . when me and Lee went into the city I . . . I saw them . . . they weren't themselves anymore."

"Shit, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have even —"

"No, it's, it was a long time ago anyway, I'm happy now, I got Louis and three great kids that I would do anything for."

"That's nice," he smirked again.

"What about you?"

He raised a brow, "What about me?"

"You know, what was your childhood like?"

Moo just exhaled loudly making Clem more intrigued by what he was about to say.

"Boy, um, well I wasn't the biggest fan of people, I think I already told you guys how I met Violet, but it was just mainly her and I against the world," he grinned, "she was so shy and sweet when we were little, it was kinda cute."

"I can imagine," Clem chuckled, "you two were really good friends, weren't you?"

"Yeah, we did almost everything together like class groups, sleepovers, vacations, you name it. Some people were always the ones to put her down when she didn't do shit to them. The school looked at us as the weird idiots while in reality, they were the idiots and we were smartest in the room."

"Is that so?"

"Believe me, Violet always made A, B honor roll, sometimes even all As'. I was slower than other kids and I wasn't as smart as her, but I never had an F or D in anything. Her parents just never . . . paid attention to it."

"I never knew that," Clem gawked, "so what were your parents like?"

Moo paused for a second before speaking, "My dad passed away a long time ago . . . but I never knew him anyway," he smiled at the thought of Victoria, "and my mamá is the nicest, sweetest person you'll ever meet.

"She used to be a full-time doctor and surgeon before the corpses started walking. She was pretty wealthy at the time before money was useless. I lived with my two brothers and my sister in this huge house our mom still has back in town. I was the youngest out of all four, like waaaay younger."

"Did you get along with them?"

"My brother that has the prosthetic, yeah, but my other brother and sister . . . not so much. Since I had a different dad than them they all treated me like the enano."

"What's an 'enano'?" she asked.

"Eh . . . it's a runt."

"Damn, that's harsh."

He shrugged, "I started to get used to it, but I was happy as long as had my brother, mamá, and Violet, it was basically all that really mattered to me."

Clementine grinned at that, she always wished she had siblings, but her parents were older during that time just assuming that was the reason why they decided to have anymore children. She started to get curious about him and Storm after he mentioned Violet. The two seemed to be around each other a lot from her view.

She didn't if she should ask . . .

"Hey, Moo," she began hesitantly going for it, "what's the relationship between you and Vi's sister? Are two . . ."

"Oh no, no, no!!" he quickly stopped her before getting to that part, "she's practically like my guardian more than anything else."

"But how'd you two meet if you're that close with her? I thought she kidnapped a long time ago before you were even born."

He furrowed his brows looking ill, "Um . . . when I was eleven I ended up in the same predicament as her somewhere else . . ." he looked as though he was about to throw up, "she protected me all through those years of hell we can't get back; I know when we escaped, we both had big scars, I think hers was even bigger."

"Damn, I'm sorry," she said before looking back up at him, "sounds like she's your sister too."

"I guess."

She looked over at the rabbits den with an annoyed look with nothing still coming out.

"Dammit," she growled, "they still aren't budging."

He shrugged, "Sleeping in, I guess."

"C'mon, let's go check the traps."

When walking through some of the empty traps Clementine remained cautious as she looked around always staying alert while Moo just walked casually beside her with a bored look. She turned to him curiously wondering how he was so calm all the time when there could be danger at every corner.

One of the many mysteries I'll never know.

Of course, the traps were far from successful with catching a few walkers instead of rabbits.

Moo chuckled, "If this keeps up we might have to resort to making corpse soup."

"Ha! In your dreams," Clem snorted making Moo laugh more, "I'll take my chances starving at that point."

They suddenly stopped when Smokey ran up to a tree with a rabbit caught in the trap. The two sped up to it with Clem pulling out her knife and Moo looking at it as if it was the cutest things he's ever seen.

"Yep, this is an adult alright," she observed the plump squealing rabbit, "He'll definitely due."

"It's a she," Moo corrected her getting close to it, "And it looks like she's pregnant."

"Well the more the merrier, right?"

He frowned holding the rabbit while still in the trap, "We can't do this to her at least not now."

Clem blinked thinking he was being ridiculous right now, "What? This is the perfect time, there's more meat on her which comes in like once in a blue moon."

"I get that but . . ." he tried to think of a good excuse, "wouldn't it be better if we let her go for her to raise the babies first?"

She raised a brow, "Why do you say that?"

"Um, well you gotta think about it, if you let her go and let her raise the babies there'll be more rabbits to hunt. Eating for multiple days is better than eating a big meal once a month, right?"

"I guess," she pursed her lips still thinking, "But what if she ends up dying somewhere anyway? I'd hate to let her go just for to be killed anyway."

Moo hummed pacing and thinking about this, she did have a point about the rabbit might be killed somewhere else. He really didn't want to kill her now nor let her go just for her to be killed off by something else, there just had to another way for him to help her live.

Dammit, Moo, think! She I can't let her be slaughtered right now.

His eyes then glowed having a great idea not thinking about this sooner. It both benefitted the rabbit and the whole group, he was surprised they haven't thought about this.

"We can keep her then," he chirped untying the rabbit, "Make an in closure for her, maybe with all the rabbits you catch."

She blinked never really thinking about that, it was always just you eat what you catch. But if they did keep some of the rabbits they caught they can reproduce and they'll have more to eat.

"I love that," she smiled at his idea, "But you know we would keep them."

"The fishing shack or the greenhouse sound like good options and someone can keep watch every now and then if there might be a threat."

She nodded, "Alright then, I'll make sure to talk to Aasim about it, thanks for the advice, Moo."

Most of attention was now on the rabbit holding her as if she was a newborn baby while she calmly rested in his arms. Clem almost forgot Violet told her he had a soft spot for these types of animals, Aasim had told her even though he would shoot the rabbits he would look away not even seeing his shot. Also, he wouldn't even eat the stew if that was on tonight's menu.

He would rather go hungry than eat a bunny, Clem thought curiously learning more about Moo.

"Um, Moo?" she tapped his shoulder as he quickly whipped his head around to face her, "Again, thanks for the help."

"Oh, um, no problem, I guess," he said shyly his attention slowly going back to the rabbit.

As they began to walk back to that school Clem looked back up at him with a light grin.

"You're not so bad after all," she said to herself with Moo unintentionally hearing but didn't say anything but he too also thought the same for her.

Right now, all Moo was thinking about was building a little cage for the new rabbit and continuing his secret relationship with Violet.
