You're gonna . . . you're gonna have to . . . go back soon, " Violet's words constantly interrupt by Moo's lips on hers.
"I'll be fine," he said while two still made out.
Moo had been hanging out with Violet all day including half the night he spent in her room. Of course Violet had no problem at all with it but it was the fact that Storm would start to grow more suspicious of him not coming to bed like he should and would eventually put the puzzle pieces together.
The two soon pulled away trailing a thin line of saliva between them. Moo touched her cheek giggling sheepishly at Violet's ruby red face.
"Still get nervous around me?" he asked jokingly but Violet thought he was serious.
"N-n-no!" she blurted making Moo chuckle, "It's just that I still get this awkward feeling knowing I'm making out with my best friend."
He burst out laughing at that, "I know, I still kinda get weirded out by it too."
She frowned, "But. . . we're not best friends anymore, are we?"
"Of course we still are," he reassured her lying beside her, "We're both a couple and best friends."
"We can do that?"
Honestly, he didn't really know.
"Um, I guess, I dunno," he shrugged.
Violet couldn't believe how innocent the two still were, she guessed since the two never really were taught about relationships they were just going by on what they assumed.
Either way, Violet didn't want to give up that special childhood bond they had replacing it with a relationship, she wanted it to be a way for the two to keep both their bond and their romance for each other; she really did hate change.
"Well, I think we can make it work," Violet smiled as he smiled back.
"I think we can."
She brushed some of his dreads to the back of his ear as he yawned softly blinking tiredly.
"Someone's sleepy," she giggled.
"I'll say," he yawned again, "I've been hunting, setting up the traps, and lookout duty, I think I've done my fair share for the day."
"It's really good to see you getting out more," she touched his cheek, "But please don't over-work yourself thinking you to prove anything. If I trust you they can trust you too."
"I guess," he got up from the bed stretching his arms with another yawn, "Let me get going, I don't want Storm worrying again," he rolled his eyes, "Plus, I'll never hear the end of it."
"Hate that you have to go so soon," she pouted, "Just make sure you'll be the first to wake me, okay?"
He lowered to her level placing a kiss on her lips, "I will just don't wait too long, sunshine, I'm not really a morning person either."
She chuckled, "Oh, I'm aware."
As she laid down she sadly watched him leave then turned to Blossom making sure she was alright. To her relief, she remained asleep following with her soft little snore.
She got up getting dressed for bed by pulling off all her shirts leaving her in her bra then slipped on some sports shorts, she never liked putting on too many clothes to bed anyway. She went over to Blossom's crib tucking her in then kissed her hand placing it on Blossom's forehead since she couldn't reach her from the crib.
"Goodnight, Blossie, I love you" she whispered.
She then got back in the bed wrapping herself in her thick blanket slowly drifting off to sleep.
By morning, the beaming morning sun had woken Moo, that and Smokey on top of him constantly licking his face.
"Smokey," he groaned tiredly moving the wolf's head, "Your breath literally smells like an ass buffet."
He jumped off when Moo slowly rose up stretching his arms widely. He turned to Storm's bed which seemed to be strangely empty, she usually waited for him to get up ask him how he slept. But now she was gone with Moo having little knowledge of her whereabouts.
"Beats me," he sighed.
He dug through his bag pulling out his guitar slowly starting to play a random tune. He didn't really play much, he mostly just drew during his free time. But today he was really in the mood to fiddle around with his guitar for a bit.
As he played he groaned rolling his eyes in annoyance at the door knocking and Smokey barking in the background.
"Just a minute," he called out getting off the bed.
When he opened it he found Sophie with an expression while Moo wondered what she was so happy about.
"Hey, Moo! I. . . uh. . ."
He raised a brow leaning against the side of the doorway, "What's up?"
Her face was burning red at the sight of Moo's shirtless body trying not to get distracted, "Um. . . I. . . just w-wanted y-y-you to know that there's a-a party."
"Party? Party for what?"
"Few things, actually, they never really celebrated on the return from that boat and it's getting close to the two-year anniversary, me coming back, Izzy and Louis's reunion, Violet and Storm's reunion," she looked up thinking if there was anything else but nothing came, "I think that's it."
He scoffed, "Nothin' for me, eh? Typical."
"They don't really know that well I guess."
"And they don't even know Storm and Izzy that well either," he retorted coldly, "Izzy maybe because she knew Louis all her life, but Storm? Storm was fucking kidnapped when Violet was just a baby, the two barely know each other but me and Violet were best friends."
She frowned, "Moo, you're not jealous, are you?"
"I'm not, I'm just sick of being overlooked and under-appreciated!" Moo pinched the bridge of his nose sighing heavily in frustration, "Just forget it, I just need time away from all this bullshit."
"I'm sure they'll have something for you," Sophie tried to reassure him, "Don't think you're not important because of some silly party."
"Ah great, I guess everywhere I go people are just gonna hate me, typical."
"Don't say stuff that, you know me, Storm, Izzy, and Vi don't hate you, don't let the things that matter the least get stuck in your head, all you're doing is just hurting yourself."
He sighed looking away, "Whatever, you're gonna drag me to this damn thing or what?"
"I would like for you to come, I'm gonna force you if you don't wanna come," Sophie look over his shoulder looking out the window, "It'll start in a while so maybe that'll give you some time to whether or not you do."
"I guess," he shrugged, "You already know my routine so if I do come I may come late."
She furrowed her brows, "Routine? I never see in these bathrooms, where do you go if I ever need to find you?"
"Well, señorita entrometida," Sophie rolled her eyes at the comment knowing enough Spanish to know what he was saying, "There's a pond not far from the fishing shack, that's where I go to wash my ass in peace."
Sophie knew Moo took his independence seriously so it didn't surprise her that he would be at the location that only he knew about. But, it would be most likely that Violet would be looking for him so if he came back before she woke up she'd make sure to only tell her to keep Moo's secrecy safe.
"Alright, then, just make sure you come soon and safe."
He gave her a half smirk, "Don't worry about me, just finish up with the party and get me if you need anything."
She nodded leaving Moo be as he went ahead to start getting ready for bath.
A couple hours past before Violet woke up to the sound of Blossom's constant babbling. She turned over to her daughter's crib rubbing the sleep out of her eyes watching her annoyed face instantly bright up at the sight of her mother being awake.
"Mama, mama, mama!!" she exclaimed happily reaching out for her.
Violet gave her a light smile then got up tiredly making her way to the crib. When she picked up Blossom she gasped when her daughter tugged her bra whining hungrily.
"In a second," Violet chuckled pulling her away from her chest, "Damn, mommy just got up."
Before she went to grab the breast pump she yelped at the few knocks at the door. When she went to open it she ended up not thinking going ahead with opening the door finding Ruby with a few coloring utensils.
"Oh, was I interruptin'?"
Violet's cheeks flushed bloody red, "N-no, I just woke up," she smiled shyly still embarrassed in herself, "Whatcha need?"
"Just came to tell you 'bout the hootenanny we're havin' later."
"A party? We haven't had those in forever," she giggled, "What's the occasion?"
"Mainly for our new friends, they really helped us out a ton, especially that friend of yers."
She smiled at the thought of Moo, "It's a habit of his ever since we were kids, he hates people but he doesn't mind giving an extra hand."
"Well it's a good habit of his, we first thought he was trouble but we see now truly good person with a good heart."
"He does, doesn't he," she breathed thoughtfully.
Ruby then frowned a bit, "But I haven't seen 'im all mornin' for some reason."
Her smile faded, "Wait what?"
"Sister went to wake 'im this mornin' but he was no where to be seen, I was hopin' if you knew anythin'."
"Oh, n-no," her breaths heightened some, "Let me feed Blossom and put on some clothes, I'm hoping he's not too far off our territory."
"Not tryin' scare you, Vi, this ain't the first he's been out like this, I'm sure he'll turn up soon."
"Yeah, but I'm going just in case."
Ruby nodded, "Understandable, just be back soon, alright? You might wanna take his dog too so he can track his scent and for your safety."
"Alright, guess I'll 'till then."
"See you then, hun."
Peace and quiet was all Moo needed to relieve the stress away from people. He was glad nobody came to look for him thinking the positives of people not caring about him, he can just be alone just how he likes it.
He relaxed in the cool water his head leaning on a rock close to shore. He made sure to stay very close to the rock since because of him putting his necklace on top not wanting it to get wet.
The necklace meant a lot to him, it was a special gift that came from a special someone a while back. It would kill him if he ever lost it.
Since those few hours he did wind up taking a bath using the soap he brought back from Charlottesville. Then he put back on his boxers in case anybody did come for him and wouldn't have to feel like an idiot getting up. After that, he decided to stay with water feeling too good to pass up, so he decided it would be better to stay there until he assumed the party would be over.
It's for the best.
His eyes jolted up when he heard large footsteps nearing close to the pond. He stayed alert knowing the steps were too fast to be a walker's. He quickly grabbed his scythe jumping out the water slowly heading towards the sound. When the footsteps started to speed up getting louder Moo sped his pace raising his scythe defensively before he quickly put down finding the source running out the bushes.
"Smokey, how the hell—"
The wolf tackled him to the ground constantly licking his face. Moo nudged him off brushing the shredded fur off of him then wiped the slobber off his face.
His attention turned again to the same bushes, only this time it was somebody angrily coming through.
He widened his eyes in surprise, "Vi?"
Her face was red with fury but her eyes were frozen in fear gripping tightly on Smokey's chained leash he escaped from, "You fucking asshole, what the hell are you doing here?!"
"Good afternoon to you too, sunshine," he chuckled going to hold her hands but she snatched them away from him.
"Why, why do you do this Moo? You're being too reckless out here. I don't want you out here by yourself," she frowned looking away, "That's what almost got you killed last time."
"I can take care of myself, Vi," he reassured her, "I do this every day when you're sleep 'cause I know you'll freak out like this. Damn, you worry too God damn much, you know that?"
Tears began to swell up in her eyes making Moo's face soften with concern, "Moo, please don't be a smartass with me right now. You think I worry just for fun? You just don't know how much I lost and if something ever happened to you. . ." she squeezed her eyes shut thinking about Sophie and Minerva, ". . . I don't how I'll ever make it without you again."
He furrowed his brows now feeling bad of his actions and how bluntly he spoke to Violet about the situation. He didn't mean to say it the way he did, he just liked being alone away from people. Yes, he didn't want Violet to worry but he couldn't help how she felt, along with losing others around her how couldn't she worry?
He took her into his arms as she wrapped her arms around her tightly for dear life.
"I'm so sorry, sunshine," he whispered comfortably, "I didn't mean to say it like that."
She sniffled, "You know you can be a real shithead sometimes."
"I know," he said feeling more guilty.
"Look, I just don't want you getting hurt anymore, I seen all those scars on you I don't want you to get more or worse."
He sighed, "I understand, but I just don't want you stressing a lot over me. You have people in your life that are worth worrying about like your daughter," he frowned, "I hate for you to put me in front of her."
"Nothing and no one will ever go in front of my Blossie," she retorted offendedly, "But I do care about too much, and I want to keep you safe just as much as Blossom."
"Me too," he nodded pulling away holding her hands, "I'm not telling you not to worry, but just know that I'm not goin' anywhere even at times when you think I am."
"I'll try," she smirked as he wiped some of her tears, "I gotta admit, I was being a bit too sensitive."
"No you weren't, you were just concerned, that's all," he kissed her forehead, "Besides, I'll most likely act worse than you."
Violet laughed, "Well I hope I don't see that side to you."
He then took her hand leading her to the pond looking back at her with mischievous grin. The expression her stomach churn already knowing Moo might be dragging her to something she might not approve of.
"Down for a swim?" he chuckled stepping over to the water, "The water feels so damn good."
She pursed her lips, "What about the party? It's gonna start soon and they'll gut you alive if they find us together alone out here."
He scoffed, "Right, because it isn't God's will for us to be near each other without permission."
"All I'm saying is that they're gonna get worried that we're both out for too long, I don't want them to get the wrong idea."
"It won't even take long," he looked up the sky then looked back at Violet, "How about. . . fifteen minutes at least? Maybe shorter if you want."
Violet hated persuasion especially when it came from people she like. She remember when Minerva would persuade her all the time, one of those times ended up in the loss of her virginity; she could never seem to say no.
She did think about how she hasn't been away for that long and she did have Smokey after all. She guess it wouldn't hurt to step into the water for just a minute, she didn't want Moo to think that she was avoiding him because she did want some time alone with him while they were here.
Probably not smartest way to go but the only way.
She groaned rolling her eyes, "Fine, but it better be quick."
When she took off her vest and began to pull off her shirts Moo widened his eyes quickly putting his hands on her wrists.
"Whoa, whoa, what are you doing?"
"You expect me to swim in my clothes?" she sneered sarcastically.
"Is just that. . . are you comfortable with me. . . seeing you with. . . less clothes on?"
She cocked her head, "I mean I see you with less clothes on."
He furrowed his brows, "Yeah but you're. . . you're willing to show most of yourself to me?"
"Maybe not willing," she admitted, "but I do trust you, I know you're not that kind of person."
He slowly back away turning around, "Alright, but I'm still gonna give you your privacy."
"That's totally fine."
Moo didn't wait long until Violet let him she was ready. He turned around to find her in just her black bra and her hot pink panties, he tried so badly not to stare too hard at her body but every time he did his eyes always found a way to make back to the sight. He never knew how much of a figure Violet had on her from her medium sized breasts making a small cleavage he didn't she had, to small waist that were in contrast with her slightly wider hips.
She so fucking gorgeous.
She quickly covered herself with one her shirts catching him staring , "What's wrong? Are you uncomfortable by me?"
"No at all," he quickly reassured her not wanting her to get the wrong idea, "You're just. . . attractive."
He wanted to use "sexy" but stopped himself.
She blushed giggling sheepishly, "Thanks, I guess."
He took her hand guiding her to the water as she slowly stepped in sighing heavily in satisfaction. The water had been nice and cool in the rising warm weather, she almost didn't want to get out. She yelped in surprise when Moo splashed her while she was distracted as he laughed out loud.
"Even now you're still scared of a little splash," he laughed splashing her again, "Some things don't ever change."
"Oh yeah?" she gave an even bigger splash making Moo jump back, "Who's scared of splashes now?"
The two continued hitting each other with the water laughing joyfully just having a good time. Violet just tried to overpower him by getting on top of his back making him fall in the water like when they were kids but she failed miserably as he was now bigger than her as he easily made her fall back.
"You're such an asshole!" she cried as she got back up splashing him again.
"Quit telling me stuff I already know," he said with a smirk.
Moo then swam closer to putting his large hands around her thin waist. He never knew how much of a figure Violet had on her since she always wore those layers of shirts and baggy tank tops she wore to bed. One of his hands slid over to her cleavage to which he was also mesmerized by wanting so badly to rip off her bra and suck on her bare breasts.
She too also couldn't take her eyes off of him staring at muscular features as she touched his chest moving her hand up all the way up to his strikingly handsome face that smiled at her seductively. She didn't know what made her heart beat rapidly even more; him being so close to her or the fact that they were nearly naked in the water.
"You're so beautiful like this," he whispered, licking her neck teasingly, "you're like no other . . ."
"You don't have to lie," she frowned, turning away, "you've been other people, I bet I'm the least attractive person you've been with."
He turned her head to face him as he showed much seriousness and truth into his eyes cupping the side of her bony cheek.
"That's not true, and you know it," he denied it bringing her much closer than before to the point where their noses were touching, "you know why?"
She looked at him confusingly, "Why?"
"Because you're you," his smile returned, "that's why I find you the most attractive."
Violet's heart began to swell at those words never hearing anything like in her life, not even from Minerva. He didn't hesitate nor stuttered at the words he said; he really did mean it. She had never felt so flattered and feeling like she really was worth something to someone and not a burden or a toy people could pick up and put down again.
He had been true.
Before he could say anything else Violet was the one who pulled his down his lips falling into hers. He wasted no time kissing her back sliding his hands down to her bottom tightly groping it. Her eyes went round at the touch looking up at Moo with a great deal of nervousness as he never let go of her ass.
He pursed his lips, "You're so timid," a smile began to creep on his face, "but we can fix that."
She yelped loudly when she felt him hardly smack her ass through the water while he just chuckled at her reaction. Though the touch surprised her a bit she squeezed her legs together as the touch seemed to strangely arouse her.
He picked her up out of the water bridal style taking her to the shore and laid her on her back where he proceeded to hold her down kissing her roughly all over her face. He made his way down to her cleavage then moved all the way down to her lower stomach that had a few fainted stretch marks from when she was pregnant with Blossom.
Though she was gaining pleasure from this she wasn't ready for what she was thinking of.
She gasped loudly, jumping out of her thoughts when she felt his large hand slide between her legs. With nothing being done like that to her in a while and the fact that Moo was capable of touching her like this; a guy? She had no idea what to think of him.
He then slowly began to rub on her clothed clit while looking up to see her expression, "Want me to stop?" he asked huskily while still rubbing.
To his surprise and relief she shook her head moaning softly at the touch. It may have given her a shock but she didn't want him to stop when they just got started.
He started kissing her roughly on her neck while couldn't help but sink her nails into the dirt as Moo began to go faster. Her whole body burned in satisfaction as she could already feel her orgasm coming in.
She realized it's been a while since she had ever been touched so she wasn't surprised that she was about to come so soon.
Moo's fingers sank in deeper going faster to the point where Violet's body just couldn't take it anymore.
She shut her eyes tightly covering her mouth moaning loudly in satisfaction trying not to attract walkers. She came onto Moo's fingers making her panties even wetter than before then fell back catching her breath.
Moo smiled seeing her face was completely red, "Did you enjoy that?"
She nodded still taking a breath, "Hell yeah, but just warn me next time, I've gotten a bit rusty."
"Whatever you say, but just know I'm full of surprises."
"I can tell."
He kissed her on the lips again before he helped her up to her feet. She looked back over the bushes and sighed knowing it was about that time.
"Let's head back," she told him as she started putting back on her clothes, "Can't keep them waiting for too long."
"I suppose," he went to grab his necklace, soaps, and clothes, "When we get back just go on to the party, I gotta make a quick stop to my room."
She nodded putting on her vest, "Alright, I'll be waiting for you."
"Can do, sunshine."
Everyone was already at the admin building still decorating in the music room. Izzy was busy helping her brother with a new song he wrote, most of the others were already sitting down waiting for the game to start, and Sophie was still making banner to hang up outside the door while having Blossom in her care. Ruby was with Storm looking at some candles she wanted to light up to make the room more colorful, she couldn't decide so she chose Storm to see what her opinion was since she was straight forward.
"The green does give off a nice natural look," Storm said staring fondly at the candle.
"I see what you're sayin', but I kinda do like this red," she picked it up showing it to her, "I think it'll really stand out."
Before they could discuss some more colors Storm gasped excitedly towards the door seeing Violet with Smokey walking beside her.
"Vi, you're back!" she went to hug her, "Did you find him?"
"Yeah, I let him do his business first before we came though," she blushed brightly still thinking about what they did, "He had to go to his room for something so he'll be here in a minute."
She sighed in relief, "Good to know," she then took her over to the table with the alignment of colored candles, "Can you help us real quick? We're trying to decide the color."
"I think purple would be a good one," Ruby insisted, "I heard it's the color of royalty."
Storm hummed then grinned turning to her sister, "Purple does sound good, doesn't it, Vi?"
She pursed her lips, "Seriously? Seems a bit much, don't you think?"
Ruby laughed, "Ha! I thought you of all people would prefer it, Vi-o-let."
Violet smirked rolling her eyes, "Right, well you guys do whatever you do I'm going over with the others."
As Violet left Storm quickly pulled Ruby aside grabbing the candle.
"Purple definitely," Storm giggled.
"Definitely,"
An hour into the celebration everyone was sitting around the candle talking and laughing about certain things of the past and previous. With that, Violet stood in a corner comforting her as she became fussy when everyone started to get loud.
"Is she alright?" Clem asked in concern standing beside her.
"She's good, too much noise for her, I guess."
As that went on, Moo leisurely stepped the door holding a large carry bag. Nobody noticed he walked in until Sophie turn to the doorway gasping estatically.
"Moo!" she exclaimed happily, "'Bout time you came."
"Yeah, we couldn't miss the man of the hour," Louis chuckle making Moo blush a bit at the comment.
Violet gave him a wide smile as he returned her the expression. Clem walked up to him greeting him with a light smirk.
"Hey, you," she put her hand on his shoulder guiding her the others that sat in a circle, "You're just in time."
He raised a brow, "For what?"
Louis gasped dramatically, "Don't tell me you forgot! You're song you promised us, or me when we were hunting."
His eyes brightened, "Oh yeah, but I didn't I was gonna do it at a party. . . full of people."
"Oh c'mon, you can do it," Louis scooted over patting an empty space beside him, "it's gonna be fine, we won't judge."
Moo looked back Violet who sat in a wooden chair giving him a beaming smile nodding over to the space. He sighed walking over nervously sitting beside Louis laying his bag in his lap.
He tapped Moo's arm excitedly making him jump at the touch, "Go on, get it out."
Moo zipped down the bag pulling out his guitar as everyone couldn't help but whisper to each other in curiosity wondering what song he was going to play.
"And what's the song called?" Clem asked curiously.
Moo just shrugged positioning his guitar, "Never really thought about it yet, it's just a little somethin' I made recent."
He looked up back up at Violet shyly who just smiled and nodded as her approval.
"I'm sure you'll do great," she said making him blush.
He cleared his throat so glad he hadn't taken a morning smoke today then he opened his mouth beginning to let the words flow.
"As the began to rest I noticed there wasn't no sun today
Then I noticed you weren't by my side, my dear
But you didn't know that was my biggest fear
I looked high, I looked low in the murky day
Everywhere I looked you were nowhere to be seen
So I prayed and prayed and prayed that you would be right next to me
Holding you close feeling your toasty embrace
But my hope began to thin when you still weren't my bed
I wept and wept and wept thinking of the worst."
As he sung others around him became mesmerized by beautiful voice. They didn't know he had such a voice since he talked so deeply and raggedly including the fact that he smoked daily. But now they were all together with their ears being synthesized by Moo's heavenly voice.
Violet especially fell head over heels.
"Then the clouds started to pull away
As the rays shined down on me wiping away my tears
I saw that you were finally beside me clinging on for dear life
My heart began to grow when I saw your face smiling upon mine
I held you close and close and close to me with our fingers entwining
As the sun glowed down over the both of us,
I could finally breathe again
I'll never ever let you go again
Because there would be no sunshine without you."
When he stopped he looked up hesitantly finding appalled faces as everyone clapped.
"That was a very beautiful song, Moo," Clem complimented.
"I have to agree, that super great," Louis said nudging his arm, "You're really talented ya know."
He laughed sheepishly, "Thanks, I guess."
"It sounded like you wrote that for someone special," Clem pointed out making him chuckle a bit.
"Yeah, I did actually."
Louis's face perked up, "Whoa, whoa, who is it?!"
He shook his head, "Nope, my mouth is sealed."
His eyes rested on Violet as she gave him a loving smile with him returning the expression.
She knew by his look that the song was dedicated to her, it was one of the best things she's ever gotten in while. By his words he really did care about her and like his song said, there was no sunshine without her as the same went for him.
There was no sunshine without each other.
As they kept staring at each other Clem was the only one to catch their expressions. She saw that this wasn't like a normal friendship look, this was more serious.
This made her grow more of her suspicious of Moo's feelings for the blonde.
