This was all too overwhelming.

Not only his mother's been taken but Charlottesville lost their leader with her aunt being the temporary one. Most of Moo's family might be held against their will as well; she could understand where he was coming from. All by a man that was a stranger to her.

Violet just laid in her bed thinking for the past few hours while Moo kept close beside her with his arm around her waist and his head resting on the crook of her neck. She felt so secure by his comfort she thought where it was her entire life. She could feel his warm tears trickling down as she just squeezed his hand gently for comfort.

She didn't know why she wasn't upset about her mother, sure she left her at a school and never came for her, but Violet still had this sense of guilt that she wasn't as upset as Moo. But in his case, it was way different. His mother was his everything to him, she might be the sweetest, loving person Violet's ever met. His mother never left him as her mother did, he was her number one priority and so was she was to him. As for the same for Cobra, he was the only sibling who really seemed to care about him the most. Even when they were younger Violet always saw Moo's other siblings treat him like shit, but not Cobra. Cobra supported him for everything, never got mad, and the one he could count on the most.

That was nothing compared to her situation. But she also remembered Coyote telling them that Marisol could go home if Miguel had Moo. She didn't know what Moo had done, but they would have to take him over her dead body.

She wasn't about to lose him again.

Violet could feel his embrace tighten as she came closer to his chest. She noticed his tears stopped falling leaving her neck wet as he could she could hear him sigh heavily.

"I'm scared, Vi," he rasped quietly, "I don't even wanna think about what he's doing to them."

"Can I ask you something?" she drew circles on his palm with her thumb.

"What is it?"

"Who is Miguel?"

She didn't know if he was scared to answer but she could feel his heart about to jump out of his chest at the question.

He hesitated, "He . . . he's the leader of a group called the 'Broken Backbone'."

Violet raised a brow never hearing of that group before.

"He wasn't leader for that long, I'm not sure who it was before, but all I know when he was kicked out of home he became leader like at that same time."

"Why was he kicked out?"

"He, um, he murdered our first leader."

She blinked, "Really?"

He nodded, "Since your mom was his second-in-command she took his place after he was killed."

"Why would he do that?" she asked curiously.

"I guess he was mad since Marisol took his position," he shrugged thinking back, "he was the last second-in-command before his first attempt failed."

"'First'?"

"Yeah, he did it before, but Augustus caught him in time, I don't why he didn't kick his out that time, all he did was take his position away and sentenced to stay home all day," Moo rolled his eyes, "like that's some punishment."

That's some really stupid leader.

He closed his eyes and sighed, "He's also . . . he's also my mamá's ex-husband and . . . Cobra, Lynx, and Nicóle's dad."

Violet widened her eyes not knowing this. None of the three never mentioned him before ever since she's seen them.

But wait, he said he was their father, not his . . . did he have a different father due to him and Coyote being siblings?

"I think he wants to be my dad," he continued, "he keeps asking me constantly to ditch Charlottesville and join his damn community."

"Did you ever want to?"

He stayed quiet for a moment, "I . . . it's kinda complicated . . . I honestly think we're connected somehow."

"Why do you say that?"

"It's just . . . it's just something about him," Moo spoke thoughtfully, "all my life he wanted to be part of it, even though wasn't even my dad. It's strange how he says if I join him apparently I will know the 'truth' or some shit, and that mamá's been lying to me all these years."

"Do you ever think she would? I don't think Victoria would ever hurt you in that kind of way."

"I know, I know, I feel like if I go with him he's just full of shit, but at the same time . . . I feel like I need to go with in order to find out . . ."

"What truth?!" Violet spat angrily, "the truth that you're a fucking traitor to your community just for some 'secret'?"

"I don't know, Vi!" he growled back, "that's just how I feel."

Violet shuffled in his arms, "What about now since he basically took our moms and your brother away?"

"I'm too pissed about it right now," he admitted, "when we get them back I want nothing to do with him."

She look towards the window looking at the cloudy night sky before turning to Blossom's crib as she was fast asleep. She didn't know what he wanted to do now since Coyote came with the news. He's been very quiet and upset about it not even mentioning anything on what he wanted to do now.

"Vi," he called softly rubbing her waist, "are you . . . willing to go with me?"

She furrowed her brows not knowing what he meant by that, "Go with you where?"

"Back to Charlottesville with me."

"Moo, I thought I told I would yesterday," she reminded him if he forgot.

He shook his head, "I know that, but . . . if . . . if I wanted to leave right now . . . would you?"

She tightened her jaw for a minute thinking about his question. She did want to go with him, but she never thought at this moment. She hoped to say her goodbyes to everyone when the day came for that. But leaving without telling anyone or saying goodbyes would probably make them worried sick, especially if was just her and Moo gone.

"I-I d-don't know about that," she admitted softly, "I mean just us three leaving without telling anyone?"

"We have to, Vi, I don't want Miguel killing Marisol and my family for something I did—" he quickly shut his mouth before he continued.

But Violet heard him and she wanted to know the fuck he did.

"Moo, what did you do?" she asked harsher than intended.

"It's nothing . . ."

"Come on, Moo, please tell me, I swear I won't get mad."

He paused before looking down sighing, "I cut a man's head off."

"What?!" she didn't know if she was hearing that right.

"After we left the cabin, you fell asleep while I was driving," he started to explain, "we stopped on the side off the because Storm had to go take a piss. She was gone for a while so I went out to go look for her. I heard her yell and shit while someone was trying to assault her. Smokey ended getting there before me saving him while he was about to kill him, but I let him live to let him explain himself. And that's when he told me . . ."

"Told you what?"

"He told me he was from that fucking hell hole, I was just so . . . pissed. I knew he was sending one of his spies to town just to check on me, and I wanted them to leave me alone, so I got rid of the problem . . . "

Violet didn't like where this was going.

"Storm tried to stop me, but I had already done it. Sh e was mad that I did it because she knew shit like this would happen," he sighed, "I regret it now, but feel didn't feel shit for killing that bastard."

She bit her lip not liking Moo's tone in all of this. Sure she was grateful for saving Storm's life, but killing this man could even lead to more problems like a war or . . . losing Moo. She thought if she didn't go he would leave without her going on to rescue their family on his own.

And only God knows what might happen there.

The thought of losing Moo made both her drop and being very ill to her stomach. Though she didn't want to lose another person she cared about most she didn't want the whole school accusing Moo of kidnapping her and Blossom.

That's another thing, she ran away with Blossom before making them barely trust her with her even now. She's gotten better taking care of her daughter now, but picking up and leaving again with would make them not trust her at all.

But with all of this shit, she didn't care. She wanted to be with Moo, she didn't want to lose him, and she loved Blossom so much that she wanted her to give her good life. She knew it was going to be hard leaving this rotting shithole, but soon they'll realize that she was nothing but dead weight and everyone will soon get over her.

Violet turned her body around pressing her forehead against his. She cupped his cheek feeling his hand gently rubbing her back.

"Moo, I'm willing to go where ever you go," she murmured softly.

He blinked, "Really . . .?"

She nodded, "You don't know how much I care about you, I never want to leave you again."

"And I never want to lose you again."

They came closer as their lips began to touch. She closed her eyes always thinking was this a dream, but turns out it wasn't as did find someone else special in her life.

The two soon pulled away as Violet stared into his eyes thoughtfully.

"When do you want to leave?"

He smirked, "How does right now sound?"

Her eyes went round getting caught off guard by his answer, "R-r-right n-now?"

"Yep," he nodded jumping out the bed, "I don't wanna waste no time."

"Oh . . ." she sat up watching pick up some of his clothes off the floor, "what about the others?"

"Coyote will tell them everything too, she couldn't keep her mouth shut if her life depended on it."

She shrugged, "I guess that's fine so they won't worry much."

Or not as much as they will once I leave.

She got up going on to grab her bag pulling out all the clothes she had in her drawers placing it on the bed. She took Blossom's things folding them up before putting those in the bag first following her diapers and breast pump. Violet then shoved her clothes and things last and zipped the bag up.

She sat back down on the bed for moment still wondering was this a good idea for her to go without a word.

"Momma?" Blossom's voice cooed staring at Violet with confusion and concern.

Violet sighed going over to pick her as she reached out for her. She rested her head on the crook of her mother's neck as she held her close rubbing her back.

"Everything's alright, baby," she comforted kissing her forehead, "we're going to be alright, I'll never leave you."

She caught Moo watching them with a sad expression looking down. Violet noticed this as she wondered why he looked like that.

"Are you okay?"

He nodded stiffly, "I just . . . I just wish that . . . I can be a father some day . . ."

Violet blushed, "Yeah, some day . . ."

He chuckled looking up at her, "Hopefully soon . . ."

She cleared her throat going ahead a throw the bag over her shoulder, "I'll wait for you outside."

"Alright, see you then."

As Moo stepped into his room he found Storm out like a light while Smokey laid on the bed across from her. Quietly, he whistled softly for his wolf as it didn't take much to wake him up. He hopped off the bed wagging his tail at the sight of Moo, he walked over as Moo held his hand out with Smokey placing his large paw over it in greeting.

"Nice to see you too," he smiled.

Moo slowly stepped in quietly going for his bag on the bed. His heart raced knowing if Storm woke up she would know what he was up to. When he accidentally stepped his heart almost sank as Storm did nothing but snore louder tossing and turning. He quickened his pace attempting to snatch the bag up running back to the doorway.

He sighed in relief before turning back to look at Storm. He frowned knowing that she was going to kill for this, not only because he was taking Violet with him but the fact that he was leaving without saying a word to her. For years the two were partners sticking together no matter what, Moo even thought of her as the big sister he never had. He hated to do this, but he couldn't wait any longer wanting to free their families before it was too late.

He turned away from her not wanting to make this any harder as he slowly closing the door. He took a long breath and walked away from the room to the outside to meet Violet at the cart.

Violet waited quietly in the cart while Blossom kept cooing to her mother. She rocked her to try to make her go back to sleep, but it was no success.

"Shh . . . just calm down, everything—"

She immediately stopped her heart from dropping as soon as she saw Vivian walking to the gate looking at her with a regretful and confused expression. She didn't open it but just looked at her calmly with Violet thinking this was the end of her.

"Vi . . . I know what you're doin', mate," she looked down.

Violet's heart kept beating by the second, "Viv, it's not what you—"

"I know it's not, I just came to say goodbye, alright."

Her face softened but stayed aware in case Vivian was joking about this, "Really?"

She nodded stiffly, "Heard about you and Moo's folks, and . . . that you . . . like him . . ."

Shit.

"But I'll keep it a secret."

Thank God.

"I know you feel useless here because of your accident, but you're everything but that," she began to demure, "you're a really great mum to Blossom and you're not useless at that."

Violet looked down at Blossom and frowned, "I want what's best for her, Viv if he comes back . . ."

"I understand," she reassured her, "I'm sorry for what I said to you and about that boy, I just didn't want history to repeat itself with havin' to go through that again."

"It's fine," Violet sighed, "I'm sorry just being a complete asshole to you, I should've known you were just trying to look out for me."

Violet looked over her shoulder and Moo standing behind her with the same expression she had when she saw Vivian.

She smiled, "It's alright, Moo, she knows."

Vivian turned around to see Moo's face calming down as she walked up to him. She grabbed his shoulder squeezing it gently looked him straight in the eyes with a serious expression.

"Take care of them, mate," she whispered, "go on before anyone finds you," at those final words she looked at Violet smiling softly before heading back to her dorm.

At that, Moo looked back at Violet with a worried expression.

"She's serious, Moo," she chuckled softly.

With a heavy sigh, he gently cracked opened the gates enough for him and Smokey to squeeze through trying not to make much noise. He closed it behind him quickly walking to the cart getting in. Smokey jumped in back stretching his legs was about to put the key in.

He stopped for a moment turning to Violet who looked at him in concern.

"What is it?"

He cupped her bony cheek gazing into her eyes with much promise and devotion.

"I promise to take care of you two no matter what," he said quietly kissing her forehead, "okay?"

She smiled sheepishly and nodded, "Okay."

He started up the cart rapidly putting it in drive because of the engine's noise. As they drove off Violet looked back at the school she spent most of her life in beginning to get smaller.

It didn't take long before it was to the point she couldn't see it anymore. She back around looking forward to a new future.
